A wonderful hotel in Balaklava, 5 stars and German quality. We were in a deluxe plus room - spacious, with a large bathroom with a shower cabin and a bathtub, a large terrace and a wonderful view of the beach and part of the garden. In the morning you wake up to the chirping of birds, green palm trees and the incredible turquoise blue Indian Ocean. We were on the all-inclusive option and we are happy with the food for breakfast, lunch and dinner, there was a lot of fish, shrimp, squid... For drinks we used the beach bar and the main bar - the white wine is good, as well as the local rum and some cocktails. The room is cleaned daily, they change towels, refill a bottle of water and soft drinks in the mini bar. There are umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach, the sand is fine and the ocean is calm, there are no waves because it is a bay. The staff is very friendly and well trained, everyone speaks French and English. There is a nice pool and an infinity pool with warm water, as well as various water activities. We took advantage of a boat trip with a transparent deck, it was nice! We changed money at the hotel and signed up for 2 excursions - to the capital Port Louis and to the ancient south. We had a wonderful stay at the Maritim Hotel for 1 week, we would gladly visit again someday and will recommend it to friends!We are also extremely satisfied with our driver Sachin, with whom we went on 2 excursions - to Port Louis and to Chamarel.

Spent the weekend at Maritim Resort with my husband and kids and everyone of them just loved it their! From the gorgous junior suites with pool view to the great food! Everything was on point! Loved the spacious room,huge bathtub and comfortable bed.. watched the beautiful sunset from the main pool. Lots of activities glass botton boat,archery lessons,mini golf,horse riding.. Perfect spot to come for both a couple and family. The best part was the spa. The jaccuzzi is huge and they also have a big pool there where you can chill and relax after a massage. Had a balinese massage and frankly one of the best i had! Definetely recommend this hotel and will go back for sure..

We have just returned from 9 nights and had a fabulous holiday. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic with lots of choice. The new year celebrations were exceptional. My daughter had diving tuition and her instructor was brilliant with her. We all went horse riding and the guys at the stables were great. I would highly recommend this hotel for all age groups and we are already planning our return trip.

Hotel is exceptionally clean and rooms are well looked after. Restaurant serves a great range of high quality dishes catering for both non-veg and veg with different buffet themes every night. Restaurant staff and chefs are friendly, welcoming and delightful with special mention to Will and his team for making every night so welcoming. Beach area has good amenities and was well looked after including beds which were a plenty during our stay. Improvements can be made on housekeeping which didn't always deliver the turn down service or adequate towels unless requested. However, I must add all requests were quickly followed up without delay. One of the ladies on beach towel duty looks like she didn't want to be there and never presented with a smile or a willingness to converse but she was an exception to all the other staff we encountered and interacted with. A great selection of nautical activities included free of charge but not very well advertised to guests. The young boys at the nautical centre should be better trained to deliver the important safety instructions when at sea in English as well as in French. All water equipment was well maintained and appeared to be of good quality. Purchasing drinks at the hotel is very expensive and couldn't understand why an additional surcharge was added for drinks purchased at the beach side restaurants or pool bar by staying guests; seems unfair and unjust when you've already paid a premium for staying at the hotel.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel and compliment all the staff for making each day memorable with their tentative and happy nature.

The hotel grounds are beautiful, especially the entrance area and the huge pool, which we really loved.
Unfortunately, we were not very satisfied with the friendliness, helpfulness, and competence of the reception staff. We were repeatedly put off and had to return multiple times for answers to our questions.
However, the staff in the restaurants and at the diving center were extremely friendly and professional! A special mention goes to Steward, with whom we had a wonderful dolphin, turtle, and snorkeling tour.
The rooms are nice, and the breakfast as well as the dinner buffet were very generous, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious – leaving nothing to be desired.

I recently stayed at your hotel during my honeymoon trip and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. I would like to bring the following issues to your attention, as they significantly impacted my stay:
1. **Late Check-In and Room Upgrade Issue**:
I arrived at the hotel at 10 am after my flight landed in Mauritius at 7:30 am. Despite being assured of an early check-in and an upgraded room, I was made to wait until 3 pm, and the promised upgraded room was not provided. I was given a standard room instead, which was disappointing after such a long wait.
2. **Poor Room Cleaning and Maintenance**:
The housekeeping service was extremely subpar. There were insufficient towels, the bathtub was often dirty, and swimming towels were not changed daily. On some days, the bed sheets were not changed either. For a premium-priced room, this level of service was unacceptable.
3. **Candlelight Dinner Refusal**:
As it was my honeymoon, I requested a candlelight dinner in the morning to be arranged for the evening. However, I was informed that this was not available. This was particularly disappointing as I was hoping for a special experience during such an important trip.
4. **Insufficient Amenities**:
The room was meant for double occupancy, yet only one umbrella was provided. This was inconvenient and did not meet basic expectations for a double-sharing room.
5. **Lost Item and Poor Follow-Up**:
I accidentally left an item in the room after checkout. When my friend called the reception to inquire about it, there was no follow-up or callback from the staff. This lack of responsiveness was frustrating and unprofessional.
Overall, my experience at your hotel did not meet the standards I expected, especially for a honeymoon trip.
I would appreciate it if you could provide a resolution or compensation for the inconveniences I faced. Please let me know how you plan to address these issues.

Spend 5 nights in this hotel. Fantastic food; I booked a half-board option, and the buffet style was ideal. Drinks were pricey, but I think that alcohol should be way more expensive than water. The adult pool with a whirlpool massage system was great. The room was quiet, even close to the main building. Amazing view from the third floor balcony.

Pros; 1- the spa by l'occitane is a nice, the ladies are sweet and massage was good
2- the beach is nice and clean.
Cons, 1- We booked a beach-view room but the view is blocked by trees and they refused to change it. The walls are thin you can hear all the noises outside. There is no warm/hot water in the bathroom only super cold.
2- food, buffet is below average one day we saw a small cockroach at the buffet table, the Asian restaurent was closed through-out my stay, the beach bar restaurent is good but opens from 12-5. Overall limited options.
3- Service overall is very bad, slow, no service at the beach, no complementary water at the rooms except for day of arrival
4- Cleanness, the facility overall is not very clean.
Overall if you are looking for 5 stars Standards, this is not the one.

We had a pleasant stay at Outrigger for 5 nights 6 days. They upgraded us to a beachfront room and the view from the room was spectacular. The pool by the ocean was really nice. The food in the buffet was amazing (not much vegetarian options though). However, the only issue was service which was too slow be it at the restaurant or room. That could be because of the size of the resort and it was a busy season with too many guests. The location is bit far from everywhere but would recommend the resort if you want to just sit in the beach, enjoy a drink and relax.

We had a wonderful stay at the Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort, a beautifully located property opened in 2014. The pools are well-maintained and inviting, perfect for a relaxing afternoon under the sun. One of the real highlights is the house reef just offshore—ideal for snorkeling. We spotted boxfish, butterflyfish, parrotfish, trumpetfish, damselfish, and Moorish idols, among other species typical of the lagoon around Mauritius.
The resort offers four restaurants, a fitness center, a spa, and comfortable rooms. While some ongoing maintenance is visible (e.g., new air conditioning units that are not yet perfectly integrated into the façade), it’s clear that the resort is investing in upkeep and long-term quality.
Special mention goes to the Mercado Restaurant, where the service was consistently warm and attentive. Sam, the maître d’, runs the dining room with genuine hospitality and professionalism, creating a welcoming and personal atmosphere that really made our dinners memorable.
All in all, a lovely experience—we would happily return.

Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort - Honest Review
The Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort is in need of a significant renovation. The rooms and facilities show clear signs of wear and tear, and overall maintenance could be improved.
On the positive side, service at the restaurant, bar, and reception is generally good, with staff being professional and attentive. However, the hotel has a high number of expatriate staff, particularly of Indian origin, which slightly detracts from the authentic Mauritian hospitality, even though they are polite and efficient.
Dining options are diverse, with buffets catering to various tastes. The beachfront, however, is not ideal for swimming, especially for young children. Guests are better off enjoying the hotel's two pools and the well-equipped kids' club.
A downside was the late check-out fee, which we were charged despite the hotel not being at full capacity. This is uncommon in other hotels in the same area, where late check-out is usually complimentary when availability allows.

I love the breaded chicken at edge water buffet at dinner is decent but going to plantation club or edge water is definitely better. Staff are really nice. Some rooms are quite far away from the main pool and some rooms have really bad TVs and bad air conditioning. Highly recommend to do some trips to make the stay better and also it is very good for photos. I love chicken nuggets and these were very good except for just one day at the blue bar they weren’t as nice but otherwise they are so good. Pool is massive and water slide is tiny so don’t expect much of that. Breakfast is yummy I loved the hot chocolate delux. They all have football teams here so you can ask them about it. There is also a small football pitch (two of the small goals on grass) and beach volleyball. Get good spots for pool seats bring floaties/ lilos for the pool also get water guns. There are no surfboards but there are standup boards, kayaks and other thing.
I really like the gym stuff at 8:30 as the team there is really nice and it’s really fun. Yarvin (I couldn’t really read it) was so nice at the plantation club. Not POV of old people/ adult.
Overall I like it and the nuggets, please reply to me managment and also I think there should be bikes for all the guests to cycle around everywhere.

I was satisfied with the overall services and restaurant option provided in the resort. I would suggest better to go with half board or full board option while booking as it will be economical on your pocket rather than getting out in any of the restaurant inside resort or nearby. Staffs were friendly, complementary activities are rostered well in advance. However complementary activities have limited occupancy and will be provided based on advance booking. Beach was pretty silent with crystal clear water.
I will not rate it as 5 Star but it’s certainly matches the vibe of 5 star with value for your money.

The size of the room and the ocean view were amazing and that's why I probably booked the hotel. Food were yummy but there is limited choice.
CONS: the room was quite dusty and under the bed was horrible, no tooth brush and tooth paste provided;and I was asked to go to the shop to buy same, entertainment was held at the partner hotel so you have to cross the road to go there, you have only one meal at the restaurant and if you ask for a supplement of the same plate , you have to pay for it even if it's all inclusive package, we were refused one supplement ice cream for my son and they say kitchen is closed. I had one guest who came to have lunch with us and he came 20 mins before checking-out and they called immediately to say rudely that they have camera and he should not access the room. I informed the staff the day before about having guests and he could have shared the rules.
Not even a birthday wish from the staff and neither a small treat since I informed them the reason I booked for one night. They check- us in the room 1hour and 40 mins later as they couldn't find my reservation They made false promise about late check-out the next day; knowing they already had bookings. The overall service was poor not worth a 5 star hotel. Parking space is only for 3 cars and you have to again park at the neighbor hotel if fully book. No toilet on the ground floor

I had a deeply disappointing experience at this hotel. While the team made efforts to address the issues, the same cannot be said for the Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager, whose handling of the situation was both unprofessional and unacceptable.
I had booked an End-of-Year (EOY) party for my team, specifically requesting and receiving confirmation for a privatized space. This was thoroughly discussed and approved ahead of time. However, on the day of the event, we were unexpectedly placed in the common restaurant alongside other customers, completely disregarding the agreed arrangement.
To make matters worse, the cocktail reception was set up beside the pool, where children were playing. This was far from appropriate, especially given that our CEO was scheduled to deliver a speech during the cocktail hour. The environment was chaotic, unsuitable for such an occasion, and clearly not in line with the standards we expected.
When I raised these concerns with the F&B Manager, his response was nothing short of shocking. He dismissively stated, and I quote, "You didn't buy the hotel." Such a remark is entirely unbecoming of someone in the hospitality industry, where customer service and effective communication should be paramount.
This experience has left a lasting negative impression, and while I appreciate the efforts of the rest of the team, the lack of professionalism from the F&B Manager was unacceptable and deeply disappointing.

In searching for 5-star accommodation in Mauritius, our check list included small and intimate stays (preferably not resorts), close to the beach, sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, beautiful and comfortable rooms, excellent food and 5-star reviews. Le Cardinal clicked every box and delivered more. Rooms were spacious, well serviced, and all have amazing views of the beach. The crystal clear pool was a bonus. The meal options were varied and of high standard. The cocktail list included beers, wines, and other liquor. We paid for All Inclusive and were not left wanted for anything more. There are some snorkeling opportunities within the designated swimming area, although the fish were few and the coral rather bleached. This was my first experience of Mauritius, and Le Cardinal provided the best! Many thanks to all the friendly staff that serviced us throughout our 7-day stay.
Some tips to consider:
- Bring own snorkeling gear or buy from local shop.
- There is an ATM at the airport as well as in town, about a 15 min walk from hotel.
- If travelling from South Africa, be aware of different available flights. We arrived at hotel after 11pm on day 1 and had to leave for airport by 5am on day 7. So we basically missed a day. Other flights are available.
- The restaurant recommends long pants for dinner, no slops or shorts. So pack accordingly.

Morna and Adrienne (our wedding co-ordinaters) made the entire experience magical. Morna was extremely helpful: holding video calls with us on the lead up to our departure, ensuring that we knew exactly what to expect, as well as always being reachable via messaging for any other questions we had.
Once we arrived, we had an extremely informative meeting with Adrienne who ran through the wedding day schedule, took us on a tour of the key locations and answered any further questions. The big day was everything we hoped for - a beach wedding which was completely stress free! I cannot recommend and compliment highly enough the photographer, cake, flowers and bridal hair and make up - it was all perfect.
Long Beach Hotel itself is an idyllic wedding/honeymoon destination and all staff work tirelessly to ensure that you have the best stay. Our room (145) was lovely and spacious with a fantastic private garden terrace. Our cleaner did a superb job every day, he is one of the best members of house keeping staff I've ever come across. The restaurant staff are extremely friendly and there is an excellent variety of foods to suit all tastes - the a la carte restaurant, Chopsticks, was our particular favourite. The beachfront location really is paradise and we loved the free activities provided at the beach hut (glass bottom boat, snorkelling, pedalo, paddle boarding and kayaking). The spa is also a must visit, we had two incredible massages.
I am so glad that we chose Long Beach for our wedding and honeymoon and just wish that we could do it all again!

We’re so glad we chose to stay at Shangri-La. The staff were incredibly attentive, helpful, and always ready to assist. I unexpectedly developed a food allergy during our stay, and the team made note of it in their system the very next day — such thoughtful and efficient service.
Kushi was our favorite restaurant, with Harry as the head chef — the set menu he specially curated for us was absolutely amazing.
There are plenty of excursion offered by the resort with Catamaran being our favourite as they have a live band on board with food provided. From snorkelling in sky blue waters to chasing dolphin, everything was amazing.
There is a private island as part of Shangri-La that are only accessible by guests which was great and wasn’t overcrowded.
Overall, a 10/10 experience curated by the staffs of Shangri-La Mauritius.

The entire staff at the resort is always friendly and helpful, and the cleanliness is exemplary.
A highlight is the boat tour offered on-site. With a delicious breakfast on board, we had the opportunity to see dolphins, turtles, and monkeys – an unforgettable experience!
One small suggestion for improvement would be to reduce the speed of the motorboats near the beach to protect the impressive wildlife in these waters.
Unfortunately, we are flying back today, but the memories of our stay will always stay with us. We say thank you and wish the Shangri-La team continued success and always special guests.

I am so fussy when it comes to hotels and have stayed at 4 now in Mauritius and this hotel is by far the best. In fact better than any hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The welcome, the service, the beauty of the hotel and surrounds, the food, the gym. Just everything is beyond perfection.
I opted for full board and having been to another hotel prior to this one didn’t have great expectations. But oh my goodness I was so wrong. The food and choices were incredible and definitely worth the extra. There wasn’t much that wasn’t included. Lunch and breakfast at Coco was my favourite.
I feel like I’ve now found my forever Mauritius hotel now and cannot wait to return. It really is like 5* Dubai standards if not better as it’s set in paradise. Thank you to all the staff.

We stayed at Shangri-La Le Touessrok, Mauritius for three nights in April 2025 and had a wonderful experience overall. From the moment we arrived, the check-in was warm and welcoming, and we were pleasantly surprised with a room upgrade. The Frangipani Junior Suite was beautiful, and the included minibar was a lovely touch.
What truly stood out was the exceptional service — staff members were attentive and friendly throughout the entire resort (especially Karen). A highlight was the serene adults-only pool, which provided the perfect place to unwind in peace and quiet.
While the stay was fantastic, it’s worth noting that the walls in our suite were not soundproof — we could hear every word (and snore!) from the room next door, which was unfortunate. The air condition was not efficient enough resulting in waking up sweating in the middle of the night. Additionally, housekeeping tended to arrive quite late in the day.
Despite these minor issues, the overall experience was so positive that I would still give it a solid five stars. Looking forward to returning someday!

Lovely hotel with very courteous and warm staff. Having stayed at similar rated properties in the same area in Mauritius before, I feel like the buffet (especially dinner) could be better. Every night was supposed to be a different cuisine, but it honestly felt like it was the exact same spread with minor variants.
Besides that, the landscaping is great and the friendly staff is what makes the experience wholesome.

We recently visited Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa for a spa package and lunch experience, and while there were some lovely highlights, there were also a few disappointments.
We arrived 15 minutes late for our spa appointment—completely our fault—and were given a 45-minute massage instead of the full hour as per the package. That said, we were absolutely delighted with the massage. Both therapists, Nitisha and Keerty, have magic hands! Their techniques were so relaxing and professional that we truly enjoyed every minute.
Lunch at the Coquillage restaurant was overall a pleasant experience. However, we did notice a lack of communication among the staff. I had arranged a surprise birthday cake for my fiancé, but unfortunately, one of the staff members accidentally let it slip before the surprise could happen. Despite this, I would like to express my sincere thanks to Dhanisha, who helped plan and coordinate everything. From arranging the birthday cake to ensuring our table was ready and checking in on us during lunch—she truly went above and beyond.
After lunch, we returned to the spa, excited to continue our relaxing day, but this is where the experience fell short. We were quite disappointed to learn that the steam room and sauna are separated by gender. This completely defeated the purpose of spending a relaxing spa day together as a couple, especially since it was a special birthday celebration.
Overall, while there were moments we genuinely enjoyed—especially the massage and the efforts of Dhanisha—we left feeling that there’s room for improvement, particularly in terms of hospitality and communication. With a few thoughtful changes, the experience could have been truly exceptional.

We enjoyed our holiday immensely at the Awali. The staff were great, the locations, well the pictures say it all.
The signature restaurants are very good and we also used the facilities at their sister hotel next door, thoroughly enjoyed the Beach Club.
We were disappointed with the buffet and only eat in an evening once and made use of the other restaurants. The breakfast was also OK.
I do feel that the hotel could do with upgrading / remodelling as it is dated. The rooms also, very clean but possibly in need with an upgrade as they are tending to look a bit tiered.
Generally though I would say it’s a good 4* hotel with great staff with an outstanding location

Fantastic resort along the South coast of Mauritius. It tooks only 45 minutes from the airport to get there. The sea is awesome as well as the sunset. The staff was professional and always smiling. It is an ideal resort for family, but there are lots of adult-only areas to enjoy the peace of this place. All the restoraunts were extremely good, included the buffet with a great variety of differents type of foods. Activities and escursions can be organized directly there. We'll come back!

Really enjoyed our stay and enjoyed all the activities on offer. Our kids loved the glass bottom boat trip and the included snorkelling trip daily. The sunsets were lovely.
The rooms however are a little tired and the sunloungers require an upgrade.
The big downside I’m afraid was the service. Some exceptional staff but many seemed disinterested and regularly forgot orders.
Still, it didn’t upset us too much. We were not in a rush any day but I could see how some people were not pleased with their forgotten orders and requests.
Thank you for taking care of us with the late checkout. It made our last day a full enjoyable day.

Absolutely beautiful hotel and location. The beach is lovely with snorkeling in the reef just off the shore (although there is a strong current). The pool next to the beach is a convenient option. There are plenty of sun beds and it has a lovely quiet feel. The rooms are really spacious and clean if a little tired and the mini bar is very limited (just coke and beer). The only fault was that service was slow. Bar service on the beach was virtually non existent and we had to repeatedly request drinks at lunch and in bars. The good was good but many things were off the menu. However, an amazing holiday destination!

The only real highlight of this hotel is the common areas — the Mediterranean-style architecture is unique and visually appealing. But that’s where the charm ends.
The room was disappointing. It’s definitely not up to 5-star standards (Pictures added ). It felt more basic and worn down than expected, with no real attention to detail or comfort.
The food was average at best, but overpriced for what it is. I ordered a breakfast dish with crumpet, and they were so hard they were nearly inedible — like biting into bricks. Unfortunately, I can’t upload a video to show how bad it really was.
Service was decent — but not attentive.
Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend staying here. If you’re curious, come for the day to see the architecture, take some photos, and leave. Definitely not worth the money for an overnight stay.

We stayed at salt of palmars and really enjoyed our time there. Hotel staff are extremely friendly and the service is very good. The hotel is quite clean and beautiful. The food is delicious. Really had a lot of fun here. Special shout out to Med, who is super fun and always has some nice little jokes going around. Very understanding and supportive and always checking in whether we need something else, hows the food etc. All in all, the hotel staff , the food , the cleanliness etc, everything is top notch.
Whenever I will be back to mauritius, I am definitely going to stay at Salt.

Special mention to Mr Med and Mr Vikish for helping with customised Indian vegetarian food based on our requests. We were also taken care of very well by Vish, Vinesh, Bhishav and Bhavesh!
The Chefs Mr Shiva and Mr Kunal are very skilled, they obliged and helped us with customised preparations and made our stay very memorable!
The beach is very nearby and accessible! The peaceful environment is the best part of the place!

6) The hotel, pool and beach are all clean. There’s always someone doing something to keep the resort looking nice.
7) They have considered the little touches. Aloe vera and sunblock next to the hydration station.

One of THE best trips I’ve been on. Everything was so seamless from the moment I inquired about the booking to the sad moment we had to leave. Customer service and email response time was next level. I was so impressed and hoped the hotel lived up to my expectations… it definitely surpassed my expectations!!
The hotel is absolutely beautiful, so natural and peaceful and not over the top. It secluded and quiet … It is the perfect escape. But what made the trip so special was the staff. From the moment we were greeted when we arrived, to the wait staff at dinner always knowing our room number and the bar staff that never forgot our favorite cocktail and especially the guys at the boat house who took us out on countless snorkeling trips. OH and of course the Rum Tasting!! That was fantastic! All the added activities that are included are such a bonus and make up for the fact that the hotel is a little bit far out.
Everyone was so personable and it made the stay really special. This was a trip we will never forget! Thank you :)

None cared to ask if everything is going well or would you want a drink. Expected a buffet but menu was à la carte with very few propositions. For tea time, no personal was available to serve you. The service was top-notch. From the moment I arrived, the staff were attentive, welcoming, and highly professional. They ensured that my short visit was comfortable and enjoyable.
Atmosphere:
The hotel's ambiance is charming and intimate, with beautifully designed interiors that create a cozy and luxurious feel. The tranquil surroundings and elegant decor made it a perfect setting for a relaxing coffee break.
Coffee:

We stayed at 20 Degres Sud for just over a week. Our first impressions were of a cosy, small hotel which was very welcoming. You’re well looked after from the start through to the finish. The rooms are lovely although the only negative would be that the ones directly facing onto the pool lack a little privacy so we could not open the doors all of the time and had to have the curtains closed. However it was a small negative. The hotel itself is pretty and has a friendly and happy atmosphere.
Our one issue is the way that the half board is done. The credit system was not great and it wasnt obvious from the start and we only knew after booking even though we asked prior to it. It was a bit of a pain having to think about that and speaking to others there they felt the same.
However we were well looked after and we have to say that the staff absolutely make this hotel. Nothing is too much trouble, everyone is friendly and chatty and so nice. We certainly enjoyed our trip and stay here. The food was lovely and it was so peaceful here and relaxing. Its in a good spot too.

We had the most amazing family holiday at Le Heritage Telfair! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome—always warm, attentive, and ready to help. The kids club was absolutely brilliant; our children were so well looked after and had a fantastic time every day. The babysitting service was a game-changer, giving us time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
The beach is truly breathtaking—crystal-clear water and soft white sand, perfect for both play and relaxation. The variety of restaurants kept every meal exciting, and the food was consistently excellent. Service throughout the resort was incredibly fast and friendly, making everything feel effortless. Highly recommended for families looking for luxury, comfort, and fun!

Heritage is a super nice hotel, with some lovely facilities. We were recommended to choose the Gourmet Bliss package and thought it was super nice to have everything included. In this package you can also go to Heritage Awali which however bears a lot of the hallmarks of an All-Inclusive hotel - here we were immediately poured a large warm glass of white wine, without being asked for either grapes or whether we wanted to see a wine list. It is a completely different experience at Heritage Telafair, where the standard is very high, delicious food and delicious wines.
However, we have been to other luxury places where the service was much better. Here we had to ask to be served many times and poured wine ourselves. On the golf course we took it for granted (again after having been somewhere else) that our irons were cleaned after a round, which we missed twice. Only after the third round where we did it ourselves up in front of the clubhouse, did the staff become aware and do it for us. We had a personal assistant you could write to on Whatsapp - it sounds like a great solution if the assistant is ready - however, we quickly found out that it was easier to go up to the reception as they were extremely helpful and could answer everything. Our recommendation is to drop the personal assistant when it doesn't work as intended.
The hotel and restaurants are super delicious, but the service is a bit lacking, so in relation to the price we would recommend other places on the island where you get more for your money.

We visited Heritage Le Telfair for the second time and… we were once again amazed. This place simply makes you HAPPY.
Set against the backdrop of white colonial-style architecture and lush tropical greenery, it’s no wonder this hotel was voted one of the most beautiful in Mauritius by Elle Magazine. The surroundings are breathtaking, flower-filled gardens, peaceful pathways, a charming flower house, and three pools: one for families, one for adults only, and one near the activity center. There's a blue, shallow lagoon and a river that runs through the resort, nature is truly all around you.
There’s so much to do here, from water sports to cultural experiences and golf. The variety of restaurants is also incredible: from beachside Ginja to elegant dining at Château Bel Ombre or even at the golf course restaurants with panoramic views and each place feels like a new discovery.
The culinary experience deserves a special mention.
Sushi at Ginja, prepared by Chef Ved, was divine!!! Delicate, flavorful, and made with locally sourced fish and ingredients. Huge bravo for the hotel’s commitment to sustainability.
Chef Kanen’s desserts transported us straight back to our days in Taiwan, and the laksa made us feel like we were in Malaysia again. Each bite was a beautiful memory.

We spent a week at this hotel — and unfortunately, it completely ruined our impression of the island.
Let’s start with the positives: the hotel is truly beautiful, both inside and out. The Wi-Fi was excellent, surprisingly so.
That’s about where the good things end.
The range of activities is mediocre. The beach is small, with coarse, uncomfortable sand.
The food is tasty, but the service is a mess: we were often served the wrong dishes, one meal was undercooked, soup came without a spoon, and once we waited an hour and a half for our food.
One day, the water was shut off in our room. The power went out several times as well.
The toilet seat kept falling off, the toilet brush should’ve been replaced years ago, the bathtub drain was clogged — we had to call a plumber. The drawer handles kept falling off.
Housekeeping skipped our room for two days in a row.
Our "butler" Noor failed to complete a single task. Triple-confirming a restaurant reservation meant nothing — we still didn’t get in. Same with the massage — we had a booking, but never got to use it. Late checkout took four days to "confirm." As an apology, they filled a bath with rose petals and made towel swans — also covered in petals — which our 10-month-old promptly tried to eat instead of going to sleep.
As for the airport transfer — another disaster. Two days before our departure, I gave them detailed instructions: what kind of vehicle we needed, how many people, how many bags, and exactly what time we needed to leave. On the day we arrived, Noor even asked again if we needed a transfer — I confirmed. And still, nothing was arranged. I had to raise hell and force someone to act, because I was absolutely fed up with their endless head-nodding and zero follow-through.
Twice we found giant cockroaches in the room.
And the ants? Like unwanted roommates — stealing your food and refusing to pay rent.
Strongly do not recommend this place.
This was by far the worst vacation experience I’ve had for the money.
A complete failure.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful and we felt catered to the whole time.
Make sure to get a room right on the beach and in the adult only section if possible.
Our only feedback is that booking restaurants could have been made easier than having to use the staff.

Although the staff were very warm, but what do I do with your warmth when you cannot place/replace water bottles in the room.
What do I do with your warmth when a request for buggy to carry my luggage can take forever.

It's a wonderful place on earth, with a unique design concept and park. However, it needs an update to live up to the standards defining luxury today. Many chairs and daybeds at the beach are without cushions, there are no waiters at the beach. The furniture and draperies in the main restaurant are slightly dingy. In the standard rooms there's no armchair, though there's lots of space, the water pressure in the shower is low and the small garden could use some attention and, again, some cushions. The whole resort looks like it's stuck in 10 to 15 years ago, but if Accor invested quite some money it could be amazing again. Not to forget, staff is very friendly and helpful.

We had a good stay, our room was nice and clean. We really enjoyed the nice beach (good for snorkeling too), the pool, the breakfast and the outdoor shower.
Check-in was great, we felt very welcome.
If you want to explore the island, you will need a car, as the SO Sofitel is far from everything.
The only downside, which has impacted our stay was the late checkout handling. Our flight departed late, so I asked for a late checkout beforehand via email. I was told to ask again during our stay. However, during out stay I was told that they can only tell me if it’s possible on my last day. This is way too late. And then, it was denied. So I had to ask them again, have had a discussion, then we could finally get a late checkout. But, surprisingly, we had to change the room on the day of departure. I found this very stressful, especially as we also paid for the late c/o. This handling needs improvement.
Also, during the room move, one of our suitcases fell off their buggy, resulting in many scratches. Not nice.

My partner, parents, and I recently spent two weeks in Mauritius, one of which we stayed at So Sofitel, a hotel marketed as five-star. As frequent travelers, we value cleanliness, hospitality, and good food — unfortunately, this hotel fell short in several areas.
To help others make an informed choice, here’s a summary of our experience:
The private outdoor bathtub in our garden was unusable due to water restrictions.
Our private terrace was overgrown and not maintained.
Breakfast items, including juices, fruits, and cold cuts, were served warm and not fresh due to lack of refrigeration.
The buffet was often poorly stocked — key items like those for an English breakfast were frequently empty.
Drinks at the bar, including water and juices, were consistently served warm.
One of our rooms had an ant infestation; staff laughed when we reported it and did nothing.
The minibar fridge in one room didn’t work.
At check-in, we were told we could keep a room after checkout if available, or use a shower room. As the hotel was full, we received a shower room in the hammam — small, dirty, and moldy, with no ventilation.
The lunch and dinner menus were far below the standard of a 5-star (or even 4-star) hotel.
Most of the staff were indifferent or even impolite. Only a few were genuinely helpful. Many didn’t understand English and would walk off mid-request without responding.
We regret having to leave such a review, but feel it’s warranted. This hotel has great potential — the rooms are well-designed — but serious improvements are needed to justify the five-star label and price.

Her warm, welcoming nature and expert recommendations made each dining experience so much more enjoyable. She went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable and happy with our choices, making every meal feel personalized. It’s rare to encounter such attentive service, and she truly made us feel special.
Overall, my stay was everything I hoped for and more. The service, the environment, and the attention to detail made it one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. I’ll definitely be returning to the InterContinental for another unforgettable vacation

We have had the trip of a lifetime, and we travel A LOT! The hotel is exceptional, rooms are well done and service is friendly and welcoming. Shout out to Joy on the front desk for her wonderful service. We were celebrating a special anniversary and Joy and the team really took care of us. The location is gorgeous, all the rooms, lobby and bar all face west so perfect view of sunset and the beautiful ocean. The grounds are well laid out, and they offer plenty of fun, memorable services included with your stay such as wakeboarding and snorkeling. Great food, the restaurants are lovely. All in all a fabulous stay!!

Lovely property to enjoy with family. We had an 11 month old infant for which we were worried about the fooding as my child is a very picky eater. Hotel staff took absolute care for us especially Jaywantee, Surya and Reshma providing us with baby food made without salt and sugar. We are very thankful to them!
Dal makhni at Veda restaurant was one of the best Dal makhni I ever had.
Hotel provided us with baby cot and were extremely understanding for our request of late checkout.
The view of beach from the pool and lobby was amazing. Although the beach isn’t suitable for swimming but it was good enough for a dip or two.
There are 2 pools of the hotel and both were really big, one of which even had a pool for the babies.
Breakfast buffet at senso had good variety especially Indian and western.

We had the pleasure of spending a luxurious and unforgettable 3-night family getaway at Anantara Iko Resort & Villas, and it was everything we hoped for—and more.
We arrived around 4 PM and were warmly welcomed by Prashanth, whose hospitality and professionalism set the tone for the rest of our stay. To our delight, we were greeted right at our villa with refreshing welcome drinks and light snacks, a thoughtful gesture that instantly made us feel at home. While Prashanth handled the check-in formalities seamlessly, we began exploring the stunning property nestled along the beautiful Blue Bay coastline.
He took the time to walk us through the key spots across the resort—from the pristine beach and serene pools to the array of restaurants offering different cuisines. Every detail of the property felt carefully curated, and the lush landscaping made our strolls a visual treat.
*What we absolutely loved:*
The villa: Spacious, private, and elegantly designed with its own pool and every amenity we could ask for. It truly felt like a luxurious extension of our home.
The location: A beautifully maintained, tranquil property just 10 minutes from the airport.
The beach experience: Clean, scenic, and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the picturesque beach swing—it became a family favorite for sunset photos.
Exceptional service: Prashanth and Ashley were consistently responsive on the internal WhatsApp group and ensured every need was taken care of quickly and warmly.
Dining: The buffet breakfast and dinner at Horizon had an excellent spread, with consistently delicious food. A special mention to Sea.Fire.Salt for their mouthwatering sushi, pineapple fried rice, and the fish fillet with lemon butter sauce—absolutely divine!
Thoughtful touches: From the convenient buggy rides to the handy umbrellas in the villa, every small detail was designed with guest comfort in mind.
The pools: Calm, scenic, and overlooking the ocean—a perfect spot to unwind.
The staff: Always attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their commitment to guest satisfaction was evident at every step.
*Room for improvement:*
During peak hours at the Horizon restaurant, it would help if staff were assigned to specific sections to ensure smoother service and more personalized attention. We occasionally experienced short waits, but nothing that took away from the overall experience.
All in all, our stay at Anantara Iko was everything a family holiday should be—peaceful, pampering, and filled with beautiful memories. My children usually start missing home after three nights, but this time was different—they didn’t want to leave! That, to me, speaks volumes.

The staff friendliness felt very limited towards local residents —unless you were a foreigner, at least that was our impression. This affected the overall warmth of the experience. The stay didn’t quite meet 5-star standards: the rooms were not very clean, and some equipment was faulty, suggesting the place is overdue for renovation.
There was a lack of activities, and while the food was okay, the presence of many flies—possibly due to the beach proximity—was a downside. On the positive side, the scenic setting and landscaped surroundings were truly excellent. The gym, sports facilities, and pool areas were good, though the main pool’s filtration system seemed weak.
Despite the shortcomings, the natural beauty and peaceful setting still made the stay enjoyable.

Dear reader,
I type this with mixed reviews.
This was our first of four hotel stays in Mauritius. As we wanted to have different locations during our stay to see and experience the island.
Anantara - overall feelings, some good, some not so good.
Beach: The beach is quite narrow and steep to the water. If swimming, please be careful. The steep slope continues into the water so you get deep quite quickly. I’m not sure if it was the time of year (end of April) but the waves were quite big. And after talking with some locals, only swim near the hotel. These are quite dangerous in parts. So, careful.
Pools: Two cool pools, easy going. No need to place towels on the beds just before breakfast, there’s plenty of space. If you move to another spot, then most folks took their items with them, so not to “hog” an empty space which would never be used.
Pool bars: one you can swim up to, and one which is mainly seated. Both are great, food is typical pool side affair, and a huge shout out to Kevin the bar tender. He makes a great “Kevin” cocktail!
Rooms: all it seems are similar in concept, just depends on the view you want. Pretty much easy to get around, and there are elevators if one needs this.
People: the people are awesome, they are a huge asset to the hotel. Apart from one senior person at the seated pool bar, who was chastising a junior person for not stepping up, all was good.
Spa: the ladies and the treatments were fantastic. The attentiveness just goes beyond the normal. This is a must if you want to chill down and relax.
Food: this was the hugest disappointment.
Breakfast was typical buffet style, and was ok. The restaurants were disappointing. I was told the fish was fresh, it was not. The specialty was Indian style food in one restaurant, and was hugely off, and the lighting terrible. Take your phone for extra lighting when reading the menu.
Strangely enough the best item on the menu was the Madras Pizza. I’d never tried one, but it was surprisingly good.
Overall, good location and great service.

This hotel is beautiful. Stunning pools, pristine beach and the food! Best hotel I have been to my entire life. Air-conditioned rooms. The staff are so polite and respectful, always greeting us at every turn. I'm definitely coming back!

Overall, the hotel is very good considering the price of the rooms. The rooms are spacious, have great views, and are in excellent condition. The hotel’s beach is also very nice — there are sunbeds available and the service is excellent.
The butler service can feel a bit too intense at times, but that might just be my personal impression. Physically, the hotel isn’t the most beautiful and it does show signs of age, but it’s still in good condition overall.
There are only two restaurants — the buffet and another one by the beach. In my opinion, it would be great to have a couple more dining options, like in other hotels I’ve stayed at on the island. Still, everything else was very good.
Highly recommend the whale watching excursion to Tamarin that the hotel organizes — it was a fantastic experience!

Staff friendly and will go above to please. Hotel /rooms/ yard very well looked after including the beach.
Only let down is the entertainment which is below average for a 5 star hotel.
Plus side is the food - buffet style was above expectation with various cuisine different days. Stephane and his team do very well with communicating and assisting the clients. Special mention to Sanjay who apart from cooking some delicious dishes does very well accommodating and spending time with the clients.

My stay at The Residence Hotel Mauritius was nothing short of exceptional.
From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with genuine warmth and kindness. The staff are incredibly friendly, attentive, and hardworking — their hospitality truly goes above and beyond. This hotel delivers a service that deserves more than five stars.
Every detail is taken care of to ensure guests feel comfortable, relaxed, and valued. The environment is peaceful, the facilities are elegant, and the overall atmosphere is filled with positive energy and care. It’s clear that the team here puts their heart into everything they do.

During my stay at The Residence Mauritius, I was deeply impressed by the hotel manager’s professionalism and kindness. He is not only a very helpful and attentive person, but also a true example of leadership. It was amazing to see him multitask with such grace — assisting in the kitchen, helping in the restaurant, even serving food alongside the staff. His presence was always positive, and he truly cares about the guests and the team.
When I asked to change my room, he immediately arranged a beautiful, luxurious room for me, complete with a spacious bedroom and a separate living room. It was more than I could have expected — I really felt valued and respected as a guest.
The staff as a whole were also incredible. Everyone was extremely kind, welcoming, and hardworking. They put so much effort into making guests feel comfortable and happy. I would especially like to mention Josephine, the lovely cleaning lady for my room. She cleaned my room twice a day, always with great attention to detail and a warm smile. Her kindness and dedication were truly touching.
The entire experience felt personal and heartfelt. The people at The Residence Mauritius make this place more than just a hotel — they make it feel like a second home.
If you’re looking for a memorable, heartfelt experience in Mauritius, I cannot recommend The Residence enough!!!

Review for The Residence, Mauritius – April 2025
Beautiful hotel, stunning location — but bring a pen (and your own wine)
We stayed for 10 days in April 2025. Overall, a beautiful hotel in a stunning location — about an hour’s easy drive from the airport. The building is impressive: airy, elegant, spotless, and well designed. First impressions were very good.
The breakfast buffet was fresh and varied. Dinner (we were half-board) also had a good selection, with the puddings getting a special thumbs-up.
However… a few things definitely need attention.
Drinks are extortionate. A double gin and tonic was 75 dirhams (around £15), and a bottle of fairly average wine would set you back £40–£60. I’m no stranger to over priced drinks in the Middle East, but this felt like the hotel stretching it. Having visited other hotels in the area I know the average rate for drinks is somewhat less than The Residence.
Staff were polite but service was often slow and distant. I enjoy a friendly chat but it was hard work to get any engagement. Most of the time, staff seemed busier clearing tables than interacting with guests. I honestly got the feeling that most of the staff would rather be somewhere else.
The Plantation restaurant was the exception — staff there were excellent.
One standout frustration: the relentless signature-hunting. Every drink, every snack, came with a receipt to sign. Even when they knew us by name and room number, it was sign, sign, sign — six or seven times a day. Surely there’s a better way.
I also had two massages — both very good — but the pricing was bizarre: a 90-minute massage cost less than a 75-minute one. No explanation, no extra bells and whistles — just another example of strange pricing that didn’t feel very guest-friendly.
Despite these quirks, I would still recommend The Residence. It offers good value overall (if you sidestep the drinks menu). If they worked a little harder on staff engagement — and a little less on paperwork — this could be a truly exceptional place.
Overall 4/5 but has everything but the staff to be 5/5

Wow, we had a wonderful 7 nights All Inclusive at the Westin Turtle Bay. We were waited on attentively throughout.
One of the main reasons for choosing this hotel was the activities. And there was lots to do; from snorkelling, sailing, paddle boarding, canoeing, aqua fit and a well equipped gym and wellness centre!
That being said it’s a wonderful place to sit and do nothing, which we did a lot of too!
We only left the resort once to go deep sea fishing. A lot of sea excursions can be booked from the boat house.
There’s a vast array of delicious food and drinks, we ate a lot at the Beach Grill. But all the restaurants serve lovely food and various theme nights.
In the early evening at Mistique bar there was some great music to watch the sunsets.
Our room led right out on to the pool, which was serviced at least twice a day with new towels, mini bar and anything else you needed!
It was a truly magical week.
The staff play such a huge part in it, unfortunately I can’t remember all of them but be sure to meet;
Nemeh: very friendly water fitness instructor who got us involved in a lot of activities
Aartee: serving us at Mistique and making sure our wine of choice was chilled to perfection
Aayisha, Renoo and team: at the Beach Grill making sure we were wined and dined every day at the idyllic location.
Would highly recommend and thank you to all the team for a wonderful stay.

The staff at Westin Mauritius were wonderful—very warm and welcoming. Special thanks to Mr. Anas, who went above and beyond with his kindness and professionalism.
Unfortunately, my stay was affected by multiple maintenance issues in the room. The bathtub hose was leaking, the telephone wasn’t working (I was stuck in the room for 2 hours), and the A/C made loud noises and didn’t regulate properly, which disrupted my sleep and led to me catching a cold and fever. I also had issues with the bathroom soap dispenser falling off and plumbing noises every morning around 6–7am.
Despite raising these issues and requesting a room change from the manager, Mr. Ravi, there was no follow-up. I also asked for basic medication and received no help. Management could really benefit from hospitality training and better responsiveness.
Lastly, I was disappointed by the lack of Mauritian food options. As a local, I hoped to experience more cultural authenticity. I had to rely on family to bring me food from outside.
Great staff, but the experience didn’t meet the standard expected from a Westin.

This hotel is well and truly wonderful. I don’t think I’ve ever had a welcome like it in any hotel.
Rooms are lovely, so spacious!! Lots to do, games, watersports, music, choice of beach or either pool. Buffet is included with half board but so was Mystique and kankgen which were both so so good, easy to reserve a table and the staff in both were incredible too, food was delicious. Long trousers are needed for evening meals for the men (shorts fine for breakfast) but this wasn’t an issue!
Yoan - what a welcome!! Nicest welcome from any hotel I’ve had. Was an easy, relaxing experience and huge thanks to Vijesh who showed us around the hotel complex and all the points we needed to know, and dragged our bags up 3 flights of stairs!!
The pools are wonderful, food good and restaurant staff amazing (we had toushita and soonita mostly and both were fantastic as were all the rest), boathouse staff helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The music in the evenings on the beach and in the retreat bar was always so nice and we loved just sitting and listening. Staff really couldn’t do any more to help, so lovely and polite!

We recently spent our holiday at a beautiful hotel in Mauritius and overall had a lovely time, but I would like to share a few observations that might help both the hotel and future guests—especially families with young children.
Kids Club
The kids club has great potential, but it definitely needs improvement in terms of toys and activities. That said, the staff is absolutely fantastic—warm, friendly, and truly dedicated. A special mention goes to Virginia, who went above and beyond to care for and engage with the children. Her kindness and professionalism made a real difference in our stay.
Restaurant Service
There were a few standout staff members in the restaurant area as well. Slim, a tall gentleman who often worked morning shifts, provided excellent customer service and always went the extra mile to make sure we were happy and comfortable. People like him made our experience feel truly special. On the flip side, some of the staff could benefit from additional training to reach the same level of service.
Food & Beverage
While the food was generally good, I believe there’s room for improvement in terms of variety. One thing that really stood out was the lack of fresh juices near the pool. Being in such a tropical paradise with an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables, it was surprising not to see this option readily available.
Excursion Experience
Unfortunately, our last day ended on a sour note. We booked a dolphin and scuba diving trip through the boathouse—a service recommended by the hotel. We were told the weather was safe and suitable for kids, and that we would get the chance to swim with dolphins. Sadly, none of these promises lived up to expectations.
The boat provided was a speedboat, which I feel was completely inappropriate for a family with young children (our youngest is four). There were over ten boats chasing a small group of dolphins, and it felt chaotic and unsafe. The driver on the return trip was speeding, despite our concerns, and although he blamed it on the wind, it was clear he was simply in a rush. My kids were terrified, and we had to cut the trip short. We did receive a partial refund (75%), but the experience left a bad taste.
I strongly advise families with small children to double-check all details when booking trips through the hotel and consider requesting a larger, more family-friendly boat with experienced staff.
Final Thoughts
The island and hotel have so much potential, and we met some incredible staff who made our holiday special. With a few improvements—especially in kids’ facilities, food options, and excursion safety—it could easily be a 5-star experience for families.

we had a wonderful holiday at this hotel. very large, quiet rooms with a large balcony where you can relax. we chose this hotel because it seemed very family friendly and in fact it has a wonderful kids club, both like a nursery, the closed part and the covered and uncovered outside with its own children's pool. the kids club staff was wonderful, sweet, thoughtful and professional. we booked the babysitting service for a few hours so we could go on excursions outside the hotel. the restaurants are very well looked after and offer a truly impeccable food offer. we suggest booking the restaurant "the wave" facing the beach for an unforgettable romantic experience. the only flaw I could see is the distance from the airport and the most beautiful beaches on the island located to the south and west, but with the rented car we were independent to move. highly recommended because we had a great time!!

My family and I have just come back from visiting family in Mauritius. For part of our stay, we stayed at this beautiful, luxurious, elegant and friendly hotel. Words cannot describe the feeling of staying at this hotel, from the moment you arrive. You are welcomed and made to feel like you are the most important person there with full attention and want to fulfil every need you have. There was no hesitation for anything that we needed. We were upgraded to the most beautiful room the Beach Bliss, Junior Suite, 1 King, Beachfront which was truly magnificent.
The manager Yannick and his entertainment team were exceptional to their attention to detail, they were approachable, welcoming, friendly and easy to talk to. They made sure everything was ok, we were impressed by the commitment to going the extra mile and overall efforts were outstanding. The evening entertainment, activities and creativity was excellent for the time we spent there.
The service the hotel staff provided was marked by efficiency and punctuality. Furthermore, we were highly satisfied with the tasty food options and the outcome of our stay.
Lastly, we believe due to Yannick, his team and the hotel staff, my family and I had a truly unforgettable stay, where we made some incredible memories that will be cherished forever and always be grateful for.

Outstanding was the breakfast, it is absolutely amazing in selection, presentation and quality. TOP! The chefs and service staff friendly with a smile, everyone made us feel special and at home.
The Management team is excellent and there are good vibes in this hotel with lots of positive energy.
The hotel yard is huge with three swimming pools and quit relaxing areas, wonderful beach and sunset. Great sport facilities and entertainment.
Dinner in the main restaurant excellent as everything, we hope to have the chance of dining at the Japanese restaurant next time.

We stayed here in Apr 2025. Great resort with a lot of activities to do. They have a full week schedule of water sports, activities in the resort! Kids club is awesome for children. Full schedule of things for kids to do across the week and they are well taken care of. The resort has 2 pools and both are great.
The best part is the sunset views - The sunset everyday is simply amazing. Great clear visibility.
The boat and water activities are fun and plenty to keep you occupied for a week surely. Besides that they have beach volleyball, archery and what not.
We had breakfast in the resort which was fantastic with its spread. The Kumin restaurant (Indian cuisine) has some delicious items on menu. There are a few places in the village nearby for food but be aware that almost all eateries around close by 7pm.

Special thanks to the duty manager - (can’t recollect his name and Luvraj, the F&B Manager at Kumin restaurant. His personal touch and hospitality set the tone for our entire experience.
What stood out even more was how the entire team went the extra mile to make us feel at home — they spoke to us in Hindi for a more personalized experience, which instantly made us feel comfortable and connected.
The property itself is stunning, with beautiful ocean views, spacious and well-maintained rooms, and excellent facilities. The food at Kumin and other restaurants was delicious, and every meal felt special thanks to the care and attention of the staff.
Overall, it was a perfect mix of luxury, warmth, and thoughtful service. Highly recommend Le Méridien for anyone looking for a memorable and personalized holiday experience!

Wow what an outstanding stay! We started our vacation at a LUX resort, which was amazing, but the JW Marriott was next level. The staff were great and very friendly, they all couldn’t do enough to make our stay unforgettable. The breakfast was really good, very tasty and many dishes cooked to order. We tried every restaurant on the property and we were impressed with every meal we ate. The room was spacious and very clean/well maintained. We were lucky enough to have a smaller pool situated between our room and the beach which was great for our 4yo daughter. The main pool is huge and relaxing. One night during our stay the resort put on a traditional ceremony with fire and lots of dancing which was very entertaining and our daughter was able to join in the dancing. We made use of the gaming room and cinema a number of times such great spaces with super friendly staff. If we return to Mauritius we will certainly return to JW Marriott. It is such a picturesque part of the island and the beach is just stunning.

Great location with a beautiful beach and surf spot nearby, but overall disappointing experience. Rooms are outdated – at one point, the window blind even fell down – and food quality far below expectations (mostly cold or overcooked). Service was very slow; we often waited up to 45 minutes just for a starter, which is especially difficult with a toddler. The Japanese restaurant, which came with an extra charge despite Full Board, was mediocre at best. On arrival, our stroller was misplaced and we were initially told it had never arrived – it was only found much later. The much-promoted butler service was ineffective; requests were ignored or never followed up. Staff generally seemed reserved or unfriendly. Strict check-out policy with no flexibility, even for families. We wouldn’t return.
One big highlight, however, was the dolphin tour (booked through the hotel but run by an independent team) – absolutely amazing. We swam with dolphins, and the crew did everything to make it special. Super friendly and highly recommended.

The management has clearly invested a lot in its people, the facility, the animations. They very well deserve to be taken to the next stage of becoming a St Regis Hotel again.
The facilities architecture and location are truly amazing. And the beach front is absolutely fantastic.

Everything was perfect thanks to the Resort Manager Benoit George. We had an issue while checking in with Hena, she was rude unhelpful and told us if we didn’t like it we can leave. But thanks to Beniot he fixed everything and made our stay spectacular.
Service was great everyone was great and welcoming other than hena.
Sharma recommended the Indian resturant and it’s 1000/10, the best indian food i have ever eaten thanks to chef malik he is the best.
The massage was even greater. Just ask for ASHA or ANDREA they r the best.
Overall: Definitely I’m going again.

We booked the half board option, and the quality and variety of the breakfast and dinner buffet truly exceeded our expectations. From international cuisine to local Mauritian specialties — all beautifully presented and absolutely delicious.
Another highlight for us was the Kids Club. The staff were fantastic — kind, attentive, and full of energy. Our daughter had the best time participating in the fun, well-organized activities, which gave us a chance to relax knowing she was in great hands.
The overall atmosphere made this trip incredibly special. It’s the perfect resort for families looking to unwind and enjoy top-quality hospitality. We’d love to come back again

We spent 2 nights at the resort. Customer service was top notch. Food was good and special mention for Joanna from Guest Relations, Chitra and Chef Saira from La Citronnelle Restaurant and Sylvana from room service who went all the way to make our stay memorable. This hotel is simply the best. The staff is very very friendly, polite and welcoming. They are always here to help you. Food was so delicious and so much variety of food everyday even for breakfast. You almost don't have to line up for anything as there are multiple staff at each stations. Special thanks to "egg man" for taking good care of us. Housekeeping service is also top notch. They keep the rooms clean at all times and provide fresh towels and replenish the toiletries couple times a day.
We booked the triple adult rooms and the rooms were spacious with big closet space. There was a balcony with sofa set where you can relax as well. The rooms also had a shower and a tub.
We had such an amazing time here. Loved it so much. Will definitely come again. Highly recommended!!!

SugarBeach resort is perfect. The pools are big and quiet with lots of sunbeds. The beach is beautiful and seems to go on forever and never gets busy. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. It’s a beautiful property with excellent staff, facilities and views. From the reception to housekeeping the staff are super friendly and helpful. It’s extremely child friendly, if you have an infant or a toddler I highly recommend this place because they do all they can to make your stay comfortable. Had the most amazing honeymoon at the LUX Grand Gaube. From arriving quite late, we were welcomed with a fresh drink and a cold towel. Everything was explained to us and we booked all our restaurants for dinner for the week there and then.
We had a room upgrade to a wellness room which had a huge bathroom and comfy bed. Room was cleaned everyday which was great.
We spent most days at the Banyan / adult area of the resort and have to say a huge thanks to the team (Kumar, Ansh and Saif) who looked after us with towels, drinks and food everyday. This was a great area away from the much busier main beach and pool area, which still looked amazing but we preferred the quieter option.
Restaurant selection is great and all the food is super tasty. From the buffet for breakfast and dinner to the other more specific restaurants for dinner there are lots of options. We loved BB’s for a casual lunch at the beach.
Overall, we’d definitely recommend the LUX GG for anyone considering it for their honeymoon 👍🏽

We loved the rooms, we loved the service and we were just blown away by the free water activities provided by the resort.
But this review is specifically about Sashi(Restaurant Staff) and Beach Rouge(Restaurant). Sashi along with Veemal(Manager), Taran(Fellow Staff) and Kalash(Fellow Staff) made our dinner feel like an absolute dream. The service was exemplary, the food amazing and the care shown, very warming. We were also served with complimentary deserts which served as an additional bonus to an already amazing experience.
Thanks a ton Sashi! We will never forget this.

Disappointing Experience at One&Only Saint Géran – Not Worth the Hype
We stayed at One&Only Saint Géran from 27th to 29th March and, frankly, the experience was far from what one would expect from a so-called luxury resort. While the property itself is undeniably beautiful, the service quality and attention to guest needs were utterly substandard.
To begin with, the resort is not kid-friendly. Despite repeatedly informing the staff that we were traveling with an infant, there was absolutely no preparedness or willingness to accommodate basic baby food requirements. We requested khichdi and oats porridge for our child — simple requests — but both were ignored. Only after persistent follow-up, and far too late, did they offer plain milk and oats as compensation. Due to this gross negligence, our baby remained hungry for the entire 6-hour return flight.
Furthermore, vegetarian food options were shockingly limited for a resort of this stature. As eggitarians, we had asked for omelette bagels during checkout for our travel — instead, they packed ham bagels without informing us. This lack of attention to dietary preferences is unacceptable and displays a clear lack of training and professionalism.
In summary, while the aesthetics of the property might attract you, don’t be fooled. The service is poor, staff coordination is abysmal, and if you’re vegetarian or traveling with children, you’re likely to be severely disappointed. For the price point, this level of carelessness is inexcusable.

High price poor service. My wife was in the gym and one of the personal trainers ask her to step down to allow the machine to be use by his trainee. I have not seen this in my whole life of luxury hotels travelling.. Paying so much for such a poor service. Previously I was in Prince Maurice a Constance Hotel really good service for a much better price. Now I understand why the score of Price Maurice is higher than One and Only.

The hotel offers a variety of additional activities such as rum tastings, cocktail-making, cooking classes, water aerobics, archery, and more. There are plenty of sunbeds in various locations, so it’s always possible to find a spot you like. The hotel has four separate swimming pools within the premises.

First of all - amazing food! Halfway through our vacation we stopped leaving the resort for lunch as nothing we got outside compared.
Second of all - very nice staff.
Third - the whole place is beautiful and designed for a couple. Very elegant and romantic.
The only issues were maybe that the drinks were a bit watery so remember to ask for them strong. Also frequently we ran out of water so they could make it more accessible. But overall a lovely place worth the high price.

Since we only take holidays once a year, we were hoping for a perfect getaway—and this hotel delivered in every way! The main restaurant was impeccable, with a spotless environment, no insects, and a buffet that changed with every meal, keeping things exciting and delicious. The other restaurants were just as impressive, offering an amazing culinary experience.
Every detail, from the hospitality to the cleanliness and ambiance, was top-notch. This hotel truly knows how to provide a luxurious and memorable stay. We were so impressed that next time, we’ll be staying for three days instead of one! Keep up the great work!

The last time I was in Mauritius was about 11 years ago! This holiday was split into two halves over the ten days. The first half was spent visiting family and the attractions of Mauritius, and the second half was spent by the pool and beach!
We stayed in the junior room for the first five nights, and our experience was great but once we moved into the ocean vue villa our experience felt even more amazing! Added bonus was, we had a private pool and we had a dedicated area on the beach with sun loungers that we did not need to claim early on in the morning!
The butlers were great and went above and beyond our needs! Ketan and Mahen were very approachable and professional in how the looked after us during our stay. Canapes and sweet treats every evening.
The cuisine was amazing even though my 6 year old chose pasta every day! Thanks to Chef Pascal and his team!
The gym was well equipped and Patrick was very helpful.
And the staff across the site were all really friendly and welcoming.
Where I did speak the local language, the staff were pleased to hear me speaking fluently and encouraging my kids to respond in creole too!
Would I go again, yes without a doubt, and recommend anyone else looking for a family friendly hotel. This holiday experience helped tick all my boxes, for what I wanted from my Mauritian holiday experience.

We stayed at LUX Belle Mare three weeks ago and really enjoyed our stay. The room was a good size and very clean, the room was cleaned every day around 2pm. The breakfast has a huge selection and very well organised. There are a number of other places to eat and we tried every one, we were not disappointed. The staff at the kids club were amazing and our 4yo loved every moment there with lots of activities. Overall very impressed with the resort, staff were all very friendly and approachable. We would certainly return to a LUX resort.

We had a disappointing meal on the 2nd night and as a response the front of house team (Elvis, Neelesh and Annielle) went out of their way to make amends for this by moving us rooms and comping some drinks making us feel really valued. A beautiful place; perfect for families I imagine. The more expensive suites are much better suited for a honeymoon experience if you are considering booking as a couple. Its a top class resort without a doubt, although there are some small points to improve:
1- add heating system to the villa pool
2-design out door coverage to be like other villas(attached)
3-Cassine & Grill breach restaurants will serve cola early while the food will take 15/20 min to be served, by that time ice is melted.
4-Dress code requirement to be removed, also Cassine menu half of is chargeable.
5- Adding open buffets to cover all cultures foods.

Just wow! This place is INCREDIBLE! I'm not usually one to write many reviews but Maradiva deserves it as I want everyone to experience how special it is. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning villas—spacious, luxurious, and thoughtfully designed to make you feel at home. Every detail was perfect.
The location of the resort itself couldn’t have been better; tranquil area with breathtaking views of the ocean and having a private pool was an extra nice touch, especially when travelling with a 10month old. What we also loved is that at times we felt like we were the only guests, the resort is so spacious you feel like you have your own private island!
What truly made this stay exceptional, however, was the incredible staff. They went above and beyond in every aspect, always with a smile on their faces. I wish I could name every person we interacted with as everyone was great however we have to say Veen and Kay made our trip very special. They took the time to play with my 10-month-old, showing such genuine warmth and care. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and their attention to detail made the experience feel personal and special. Veen even made a flower bed for our son which was so beautiful! Thank you guys, you made our day everyday! I also must mention Avi, he was on hand to help at any moment from sorting out reservations like boat trips, to getting food for my 10month who ate like a prince!
The food at the resort was DELICIOUS! We looked forward to every meal, offering a perfect balance of local flavors and international cuisine. The breakfast staff were amazing and our dinners as cilantro, haiku, beach bar were all amazing the culinary team certainly knows how to impress, Dhirun was extremely kind and attentive.
All in all, this resort villa and spa in Mauritius offers an exceptional blend of luxury, relaxation, and top-tier service. It’s a place I’ll definitely return to, and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a truly special getaway.

We stayed on half-board and thoroughly enjoyed every single breakfast and dinner. The cuisine was rich in variety and quality—the hotel buffet stands out as one of the best we’ve ever experienced.
The hotels beach was simply beautiful. Just like a scene from a travel magazine, and even more magical in real life. We also appreciated the wide range of activities, from yoga and themed dinners to a private dolphin trip, which was a truly special experience.
Thank you all for making our stay so remarkable. We left with full hearts and beautiful memories that will stay with us for a long time.

We stayed at LUX* Le Morne in April, with high expectations based on the brand’s reputation. While the location is beautiful and some team members were genuinely kind, the overall experience fell short of basic service standards in many areas:
• Slow and inconsistent service across restaurants and housekeeping.
• Repetitive breakfast buffet with no daily rotation — unlike global 5-star benchmarks.
• Miscommunication at the Japanese restaurant, despite informing multiple staff we don’t eat seafood. The menu was limited to raw fish only, and no alternative was offered.
• A staff member knocked persistently on our door, even though the room was clearly dark from the terrace. No apology was made — a serious privacy and coordination issue.
• The diving center was closed without prior notice, although it was the main purpose of our trip. We only found out after receiving emails from another center.
• Hygiene concerns at the pool bar, where one staff sneezed and handled glasses without proper sanitation.
• Mini bar was not refilled unless we asked, and the loofah we requested repeatedly was only provided after multiple reminders.
• No entertainment or atmosphere in the evenings, and the resort felt dull after sunset.
• Post-stay guest engagement was disappointing — no response to our detailed feedback, which raises concerns about the brand’s service recovery culture.
On a positive note, we deeply appreciated how the Front Office team and senior managers responded during the stay. Special thanks to the kind sales team member and to Elodie Dardane, the Guest Relations Manager, who personally met us on our last day and shared upcoming improvement plans.
We’d also like to recognize Vyshee, Guest Relation Officer, for her outstanding initiative and sincere hospitality.
We share this feedback with the hope of seeing better alignment between the resort’s service delivery and its brand promise. There’s potential — but consistent follow-through is needed.

What a wonderful place!
LUX Le Morne is an idyllic Resort , in a wonderful location, with the dramatic Le Morne mountain in the background and the most beautiful beach.The decor was great, a mix of chic & modern, with a touch of traditional Mauritian elements. It is a perfect place to unwind. There are avenues of palm trees lining the beach to offer shade, as you rest.We stayed in the junior ocean suite room types were great. The junior ocean had a veranda and no upstairs/downstairs neighbours giving a feeling of a private paradise.
The food was delicious as for resort standards, we took the all in option (great value for money!) and usually enjoyed our lunches and dinners at the Beach restaurant.
I am vegetarian , so I was given special food menu prepared by the chef , so match my taste buds . - too kind of chef to prepare food , according to my wish.
What made our stay even more special were the wonderful people - the staff is incredibly friendly, polite and smiling (which allowed them to sometimes get away with slow service - island vibes :-) ). This extremely friendly atmosphere made us enjoy this wonderful place even more.
Overall - fully recommended for a relaxing holiday.

The food is great — fresh and flavorful. There was always something to enjoy, including a nice choice of wine.
During our stay, a cyclone hit the island, but the team handled everything with calm and care. They quickly adapted, bringing meals to our room and making sure we were comfortable at all times.

The Senior Room was amazing—spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly quiet. The bed was extremely comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind. The hotel overall has a peaceful, boutique atmosphere that’s perfect for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle.
The highlight of the property is the stunning infinity pool facing the sea. It's the perfect spot to soak in the view and enjoy a peaceful swim.
The only downside was the dinner buffet. For a five-star hotel, the variety of options was quite limited and didn’t quite match the high standards set by the rest of the experience.
Still, I highly recommend Sea Diamond Boutique Hotel for a relaxing, luxurious getaway. I would definitely stay here again!

An amazing experience. Before going there, we had no idea what kind of hotel this was. But after staying there for one night, we were fully satisfied and would highly recommend it. We chose the room with the bathtub, a very spacious and comfortable room with plenty of amenities.
We enjoyed an amazing massage at the spa, food was delicious and the drinks are the bar were well prepared. Very friendly and professional staff.

Rama was an amazing host and Krishna had been the best cook we have met on all the holidays we have been on.
Vanisha and Sandy were amazing in the spa - with a full body scrub, massage and facial - was one of the best I had.

The food was another highlight, with a great variety of delicious dishes that catered to all tastes. Every meal was a delight, and the dining experience was enhanced by the attentive staff.

We booked on the fly as we were driven out of our previous hotel by noise. This place is excellent. Checking in was a pleasure and our junior suite was light, airy and spacious. The layout of the hotel was extremely attractive and the staff efficient, courteous and attentive.

The Bar/Restaurant and lounge areas were very good indeed and the food was of a good standard.
We are regular visitors to the Island and would not hesitate to return to this delightful hotel.

If you want an exclusive peaceful experience just come here. The rooms are enormous and it's set up for snoozing away your time on a comfy pool/ beach lounger but also popping out for a snorkel or kayaking round the bay. Staff was nice , but not helpful . At dinner I asked about the Uni that needed to be refilled and they kept saying let me find out and never did . During the day it was hard to find staff at the beach side and they packed away all the beach furniture early . Our room had a private pool and it was so hot at 35/36 Celsius , it’s suppose to be around 28 . We asked the staff to take off the heater cause during the day it’s really hot plus the pool heated to 35 degrees was unbearable staff came to check the pool
Temperature with a monitor and said the heat was turned off but it stayed 35 Celsius . The beach is not very swimmable very rocky , It’s more a beach for those who prefer to lay out and go in the pool. The hotel says 24/7 room service but it ends at 11pm . The beach restaurant had good bar snacks . Also no elevators only one at the reception to go to the restaurant it was very inconvenient with a baby .

Picturesque setting with mountains all around, the temperature drops in the evenings making it very pleasant. Morning yoga was amazing and we really enjoyed the relaxing spa, masseuses were very well trained.
You can 🤿 snorkel at the hotel beach as there is great amount of coral to spot. Water is really shallow & clear. They have many pools with temperature controlled water.
Our complain is a bit with the food they really need to improve on the food part. Menu is limited and their Indian chef has to improve his cooking.
But Shanti Maurice is definitely value for money.

A very beautiful and stylish resort. The rooms are spacious and well-designed — we especially loved the ground floor suites with direct beach access. Waking up to that ocean view right from the bed was unforgettable!
The spa area is top-notch, the kids club is fun and well-organized, and the food throughout our stay was delicious. The staff were always friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome.
Compared to other 5-star hotels we’ve visited, Shanti Maurice stands out for its perfect balance of quality and price — amazing value for what you get.
Minor downside: the beach isn’t ideal for swimming, with a small designated area and rocks exposed at low tide. But the scenery is still absolutely gorgeous, especially for photos.

Our stay in constance le Prince was magnificent. It really is paradise. The resort is beautiful and tranquil, well looked after and in harmony with nature. The biggest strength of resort is it’s staff. Super friendly, welcoming, always there to help. They are all very nice to have a conversation with and there is a good mix of older and younger generation.
5/5 Star experience.
Two things however, we did not like.
First, minor. The shades in the suites look cool but are not user friendly. The first day you will spend a good 30 minutes trying to find out how it works. Lot’s of people don’t really close it or manage to close it, so in the evenings you can see inside their rooms, sometimes with u pleasant suprises..
Secondly, the breakfast was not good at all. It is way too small. There are not enough choices. We were really surprised about this. Everything in the hotel is so great b it the breakfast for us is a 4 star hotel in an average city in the UK. Why the UK? Well it is definitely directed to them because if you are happy with a english breakfast and fried food everyday you’ll be happy. For all others used to a more rich cuisine you will be left disappointed. The patisserie particularly is very poor. Only 6 choices, with two of them being a croissant and pain au chocolat. But they are of such quality i would not even buy them in my local bakery. There are always huge waiting lines for omelet and pancakes that after the first day i never went for them again. Also we had to wait 3 days because there were no seats available. Breakfast is open untill 10:30 and the days we arrived after 9:30 there were lots of food bot available and the restocking went rather slow.
Overall this resort is so close to perfection, probably one of the best in the world! However the breakfast really needs fixing. We noticed most of the guests were British, they are not hard to make happy with breakfast. But we are a Mediterranean couple and this was really a letdown. Just last month we were in 5 star Sofitel in Rabat. Their breakfast is 3x the size of the breakfast in this resort. Also variety is pore important than size, but is it lacking so much variety! We will definitely come back, hopefully the breakfast will be better by then. We love Le Prince Maurice

My wife and I spent an exclusive 5-day holiday at this incredible oceanfront hotel in Mauritius, and it was nothing short of perfect.
Our room was stunning—spacious, beautifully designed with ultra-modern fittings, and offered a breathtaking view of the sea that we never got tired of. Waking up to the sound of waves and the sight of the turquoise ocean was pure bliss.
The staff were exceptional—extremely friendly, supportive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Their warm hospitality truly enhanced our experience.
The hotel itself is immaculately clean, and the outdoor spaces are beautifully arranged with plenty of room to relax, unwind, or enjoy the view. We loved the variety of water-related activities available—it added so much fun and excitement to our stay.
The property is truly spectacular—spacious, serene, and set right beside the ocean, offering peace and beauty in every corner.
And the breakfast—absolutely mind-blowing. With a wide variety of delicious choices, both local and international, it was easily one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had in a hotel.
Overall, this was a dream getaway for both of us. We left with unforgettable memories and already can’t wait to come back!

I have mixed feelings about my stay here and was a little underwhelmed given it is a 5 star resort.
The rooms are amazing. Beds very comfortable, shower and bath felt like a spa. We booked a junior ocean suite and overall very very happy with my room. The lobby is gorgeous and the beach very pretty to look at. Breakfast was delicious and have a great buffet along with menu options.
Service was a bit of a mixed bag. Some of the staff were absolutely amazing and very helpful. Our valet went out of his way when we popped a tire (driving is very difficult generally in the area) and was so insanely helpful it was amazing. But other staff members seemed dismissive or rude at times. We went here for our honeymoon and booked the honeymoon package. When we showed up and I asked about it (package included special spa time, breakfast, cocktail class etc.) the front desk told us the celebration staff would meet with me tomorrow to talk about it. The next morning I went to check in and was told I would need my marriage certificate. I showed them several pictures of the certificate and the wedding. They said they needed the original physical copy not a picture or duplicate. I explained that in our state we only had 30 days to mail it in and if we had waited until after our honeymoon to do that we would not be legally married so there is no way we could have brought it. After significant discussion I asked to speak directly with the celebration team. I was told they would call me shortly. Several hours later I check again and was told I could wait if I wanted to talk to them. Eventually someone came down. I explained the situation and they said I had enough proof of the wedding so that was not the issue but I had never booked the package and it had to be booked in advanced so they could not help me. I showed them the confirmation with my original booking which clearly showed the package. The lady looked annoyed and said she needed to make another phone call. She left and finally a new person showed up to congratulate us and reviewed the package. No one ever apologized for the situation. At dinner and lunch the service staff were either very nice or very short and annoyed with any request. The food outside of breakfast was also very underwhelming and we ended up trying to eat outside of the hotel which was better quality and price.
Overall it is a very pretty resort but personally do not think it is worth the price and would not return again.

It had amazing views and cool water sports included with the booking. Like glass boat, water skiing, kayaking and scuba diving! Near the beach is also another beach in walking distance that had sting rays! The pools are great and not too deep. 1.2 M to be exact. Very disappointing experience. This hotel is far from a true resort. The beach is small, the decor is dark and gloomy, with an overwhelming and unpleasant red theme. Staff were unfriendly — quite the opposite of the famously warm and welcoming Mauritian people. We faced an issue during our stay and received no proper support or satisfactory resolution. We ended up checking out early, even though we had days left in our reservation. Definitely do not recommend this hotel.

A private and exclusive resort - villas are each a separate buildings.
Food was EXCELLENT, we stayed in multiple 5* resorts in Mauritius and the food here was a level above. The evening meal in the Japanese restaurant was a quality that id be impressed with in London.
A little hard to get around with kids because it’s so spread out, bikes don’t carry 2.5year old kids.. but there are golf carts on request.
We were given early checkin and late checkout - which made our experience very relaxing despite a lot of international travel directly after our stay with a late flight. Thank you!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Heritage The Villas in Mauritius from March 30th to April 4th, 2025, and I can confidently say it was one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. Nestled in the pristine beauty of Bel Ombre on the island’s unspoiled southern coast, this luxurious retreat exceeded every expectation I had, blending the privacy of a villa with the top-tier amenities of a five-star resort.
From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality set the tone for our stay. The villa itself was a masterpiece—spacious, impeccably designed, and equipped with everything we needed, including a stunning private infinity pool that overlooked the lush tropical gardens and distant views of the Indian Ocean. The interiors were modern yet cozy, offering the perfect balance of luxury and comfort, while the outdoor area, complete with a gazebo and BBQ space, made it feel like a true home away from home.
What truly elevated our stay, however, was the exceptional service, particularly from Adarsh and, Pritesh. Their attentiveness, positivity, and genuine care made all the difference. Whether they were arranging a seamless golf cart ride to the C Beach Club, ensuring our villa was spotless, or checking in to see if we needed anything, Adarsh and Pritesh went above and beyond with a smiles that were infectious. Their dedication to making our stay perfect was evident in every interaction, and he truly embodied the spirit of Mauritian hospitality.
The access to the nearby Heritage Golf Course and the two five-star resorts—Heritage Awali and Le Telfair—was a fantastic bonus. We enjoyed delicious meals at the C Beach Club, lounged by the ocean, and even indulged in a spa day that left us completely rejuvenated. The natural surroundings, from the Frederica Nature Reserve to the serene beaches, added a layer of tranquility to the experience that’s hard to put into words.
Every detail of our stay at Heritage The Villas was flawless, but it was Adarsh’s outstanding service and hospitality that made it truly memorable. My family and I are already dreaming of our next visit, and I’d recommend this paradise to anyone seeking a luxurious, peaceful escape in Mauritius. Five stars aren’t enough—thank you, Adarsh, Pritesh, and the entire team, for an incredible week!

Booked a villa for a week for our honeymoon. Honestly could not fault anything, everything was incredible.
The villa was beautiful and spotless clean. 2 bedrooms, en suites, pool with poolside BBQ grill and loungers and sofas and tables with chairs, outside showers. Fully equipped kitchen and utility room with washing machine and drier. Each villa gets their own golf buggy to drive around the resort and golf courses (this was great).
The resort: had half board options at 2 restaurants but we tried most of the other 12 or 13 on the resort. The beach was beautiful and huge, lots of sun beds/restaurants/palm trees. The spa was brilliant and had lots of offers.
Food: As mentioned, excellent restaurants everywhere. Most importantly they catered for my allergies perfectly; every menu at every restaurant was clearly labelled with allergy info on each dish. All food was also halal according to the resort (apart from the pork products of course)
Staff: We could not have wished for more helpful and kind staff at the resort. They were on hand 24/7 to answer any queries + helped a great deal giving advice regarding things to do in Mauritius.
Overall: 10/10. Big thanks to all the staff at Heritage the Villas, as well as at Heritage Awali and Telfair. Big thank you in particular to Adarsh who was the main staff member assisting us.

The Guest relation team was very helpful- Adarsh and Pritesh.
A nice villa with a stunning sea view.
The villa was fully equipped.
Bath amenities and kitchen amenities were provided upon arrival.
All facilities were available at the villa.
We have enjoyed driving the club car from the villa to the outlets and other facilities on the Domaine.
The Shuttle van to the C beach restaurant was a nice ride specially at night.
The Driver was very courteous-Naweed.
Housekeeping services is provided during the stay.

I am pleased to say that my stay at Heritage the Villas Hotel has been excellent and has surpassed all my expectations. The staff was very wonderful and catered to my every need. The room was impeccably clean, and all the facilities were in perfect working order.

Great welcoming staff, Variety of facility/activities to do:
Cycling, tennis, golf, snorkeling, kit surf, quad, hiking,…
Issues:
1- The best Dinner restaurants were fully booked!! Which is disappointing really as didn’t have the chance to try them.
2- No diving center their
3- we didn’t like C beach club restaurant morning staff
4- No Arabic Shower
5- we don’t like Savana restaurant (we went their because it was the only one available for dinner)
