We really enjoyed our stay at Outrigger! I loved the grounds and the very spacious rooms along with the pool area and sun loungers with plenty of shade and umbrellas. The food was delicious as well! Special mention to Dinson at the Plantation Club who really goes out of his way for everyone! He is a true gem and an asset to the hotel. My only critique would be that there were much less Mauritians working at the hotel, especially at the bar and restaurants which takes away from our warm, local culture and friendliness. The new staff seemed a bit lost and it was sometimes difficult to converse with them... Otherwise we were very happy and would love to come back!

It was really nice experience, the beach was white with very fine sand. The service was truly amazing. Specially thanks to Azad Rajbhar…… the food was offering variety of good Indian meals prepared to perfection every single day…. Honestly we don’t like South Indian food. Otherwise all food drink was very good. Special thanks for perfect cleanliness! Rooms was cleaned daily, the staff is incredibly friendly & responsive. All over we relaxed in luxury resort with the opportunity to be active.

We stayed at this beautiful resort in Mauritius for five nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The location is stunning – truly one of the best parts of our stay. The views, the surroundings, and the overall atmosphere are just perfect for a relaxing vacation. For Indian guests, the vegetarian food options are excellent. A special mention to Mr. Azaad, the Indian chef, who was extremely cooperative, kind, and attentive. He made sure we were comfortable with the food and even went the extra mile to accommodate our preferences. We truly loved our stay and would highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Mauritius. It was a memorable experience for our family❤️

We had an incredible stay at Outrigger Resort – the rooms were exceptionally spacious and comfortable, giving us plenty of space to unwind. The swimming pool area is gorgeous and well-maintained, perfect for lazy afternoons. The entire staff is very polite and takes very good care. But the real standout was the food! The entire spread of dishes and drinks was fabulous, with something delicious for every meal. Special shoutout to Azad, who made sure we never missed the taste of India – his super tasty Indian cuisine was a highlight, bursting with authentic flavors. Topped off with stunning beach views right from our spot, this place is a dream. Highly recommend for a relaxing beach getaway!

I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I received even before arriving at the resort. I booked a room to celebrate my birthday and wanted to arrange reservations at your à la carte restaurants in advance to ensure everything would be perfectly organized for this special occasion. When I first called the hotel to reserve a table at Edge Water, the reception simply transferred my call. No one answered. I called back, explained my request again, and was transferred once more without the receptionist attempting to understand my needs, take a message, or assist in any way. Eventually, I reached a gentleman who was kind enough to book Edge Water for my birthday evening on the 6th. However, when I asked him to also reserve Le Voyageur for the following evening, he informed me that he could not make reservations for another restaurant. I then called again and was transferred to Le Voyageur. Once again, there was no answer. I called back yet another time, was transferred again, and after a very long wait, someone finally answered, only to speak in a rather rude tone and inform me that no bookings could be taken and that I would need to wait until check-in. I explained that Edge Water had already managed to secure a reservation for me and asked why the same could not be done for Le Voyageur. I also mentioned that I specifically prefer à la carte dining over buffet. The response I received was simply that it was “not possible.” I was told not to worry as they only had 14 reservations and the restaurant accommodates 20 guests, which did not address my request to secure a confirmed booking. As someone working in the hospitality industry, and particularly within a five-star environment, I find this level of service unacceptable. Being constantly transferred without anyone taking ownership of my request, the lack of follow-up, and the dismissive attitude I encountered do not reflect the standards expected from a luxury resort. Hospitality is about service, anticipation, and going the extra mile, especially when a guest is celebrating a special occasion. Instead of feeling excited and welcomed ahead of my birthday stay, I feel disappointed and undervalued. This is certainly not the experience I expected when choosing your resort for such an important celebration.
