I’ve never in my whole life seen this type of hospitality before, I’ll start from beginning when front desks welcomed us upon arrival on 6th of February around 6pm. Everyone was welcoming us with a real genuine smile, open body gestures and highest level of kindness. With the lead of the Dutymanager Mr.Adarsh. Once he knew that I would sleep on the sofabed he immediately offered me that he will double the mattress for me and he did it in a blink of eye. Receptionists were amazing while checking in they didn’t let us queue at the reception, they asked me to have a seat at the coach and offered us welcome drinks. Next day I met and amazing guy working as a concierge his name Mr.Jason. He was suggesting and booking for me all the activities during my stay which lasted a week at the resort, he never showed any signs of botherness, he served and helped with his deepest point of heart. After that I met Miss. Tasleemah which who was booking me the different restaurants in the resort. Miss.Tasleemah, made us felt like we’re here Family literally, she was standing for us every time we’re entering or leaving the resort, because her office is just next the gate. If she was the only one that I was dealing with in my whole stay, that would be more than enough for us. And of course the one who was checking up on us every day was mr.Hisham in the guest relations. What is special about mr.Hisham that he is the one of the kindest and politest person I’ve ever met. I’ve never experienced anything in my stays during my vacations like what Mr. Hisham did. Finally the last day when I was checking out, I met most of the people I mentioned their names above, just to say a good bye and to give me an unforgettable stay experience. I’m so honored and pleased to meet all of them.

From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of comfort, care, and calm that made our time there incredibly special. The property itself is stunning, with a peaceful atmosphere that’s perfect for couples, and every space felt thoughtfully designed. What really made the experience stand out was the incredible team behind it all. The staff didn’t just do their jobs , they genuinely cared. Every smile, every check-in, and every small gesture made us feel welcome and at home. A heartfelt thank you to Teeven, Anderson, Ravi, Damien, Ashvin, Roupesh, Owen, Cliff, Sheila, Augustin, Louis, Ourila, Vikash, Kiran, Shahyad, Adarsh C, Adarsh M, Allan, Amal, Panchoo, Devraj, Sundeep, and not to forget Mr. Gungoa Arvin. And to anyone we may have unintentionally missed, we’re truly sorry, your efforts did not go unnoticed, and we are very grateful. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, attentive without being intrusive, warm without being forced. Whether it was helping us with small requests, making our honeymoon feel extra special, or simply ensuring everything ran smoothly, the team made all the difference. Le Méridien gave us more than just a beautiful stay, it gave us memories we’ll carry with us forever. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate such an important chapter of our lives, and we would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone, especially couples planning their honeymoon.

A huge thank you to Joanna and the Zumba-certified instructor for going above and beyond. My wife had just missed the scheduled Let’s Dance class, and as she does not participate in sea activities, these classes were very important to her. Joanna and the Zumba-certified instructor kindly offered to run an additional session during their lunch break, which we truly appreciated. Their energy, professionalism, and genuine care shown truly made a difference to our experience at the hotel. As a small suggestion, a shaded venue or covered pavilion would make it even more comfortable. A special thank you as well to Jaya for her excellent, attentive customer service. The Fisherman buffet and the Mauritian buffet were excellent and thoroughly enjoyable. The Italian buffet, however, was slightly disappointing compared to the other dining experiences. The gym facilities were excellent and very well maintained. One concern was the presence of stray dogs around the hotel. We were reassured this would be addressed, and we hope this will be resolved for future guests.

We’re only halfway through our stay and it’s been underwhelming. At check-in, the staff member didn’t know our package details and wrongly told us hot chocolate wasn’t included. Restaurant bookings were poorly handled. We were promised family-friendly options but told only 9pm slots or buffet were available. Our New Year’s Eve banquet booking was completely missed, and we were sent to the buffet instead. Staff admitted it was their error but the gesture was minimal. The room is spacious but needs a deep clean. Turndown happens far too late (9:30pm), and towel provision has been inconsistent despite us being a family of five. Food has been subpar, both buffet and à la carte, and poolside service is patchy. Staff regularly ask if everything is good but rarely act on the feedback. This does not feel like a five star experience, and service has been inconsistent throughout.

Our stay at Le Meridien Ile Maurice was extremely disappointing and far below what we expected from a hotel of this category. We experienced repeated cleanliness problems in our rooms, including insects found on the bed and an ongoing sewage smell coming from the bathroom. Because of these hygiene concerns, we requested room changes and were moved three times, yet the same issues continued in each room. The restaurant experience was also concerning. Food was left uncovered, and we personally observed insects in jam containers and on food. On our first night, dinner was served on the beach, and we observed dogs and cats walking near the buffet area without any visible action taken by staff to protect the food. When we requested compensation, the communication with management was inconsistent. The Arab guest relations officer initially informed us that compensation would be for only one night, which was the night we did not stay at the hotel due to early check-out. The hotel manager later changed his position several times regarding the number of nights to be compensated and eventually advised us to resolve the matter through Booking.com. Despite this, we were still asked to pay the full tourism tax for all nights, including a night we did not stay at the hotel. Throughout our stay, we were required to repeatedly pack our belongings and move between rooms, which caused significant stress and inconvenience. This review reflects our personal experience. Unfortunately, the level of cleanliness and the way the situation was handled did not meet acceptable hospitality standards.
