I have traveled to Mauritius more than 20 times. I love the people and the community. In this hotel…… Service not great. Probably the poorest I have experienced in Mauritius. Kids club dismal. A lot of rocks in the swimming area in the sea which makes this an unfavourable experience compared to so many other areas in Mauritius. Food quality and service not 5 star quality at all. Should be a 3 star. Poor presentation of food. Staff working in the buffet are miserable and seem to be so unhappy. They are also currently renovating so I would definitely not recommend going now! Buffet horrible. Food in the smaller restaurants better but service still poor. There are some amazing and friendly staff but unfortunately most are inexperienced and not friendly. Not really what you would expect from a Mauritius hotel. We had a family room. The pull out couch bed was really bad. The mattress was very thin and terribly uncomfortable for the kids. I seriously would advise families to NOT go with a family room. It’s not great. Unfortunately I can not recommend this hotel.

The best hotel! Fantastic views, great rooms, friendly service, excellent spa and absolutely amazing food.. Lovely kids club and plenty of space to relax. We stayed with our 2 year old and it was perfect. The only downside is just the standard of cleaning, albeit they clearly work hard and most of the room is cleaned well I can't say the floors were ever really clean.. but as slippers were provided then not a huge issue!

Lovely hotel, views amazing and rooms are really nice. Food was mostly excellent, only let down were the pastries for breakfast which were very poor quality for a 5 star hotel. Gave the room 4 stars because when having a shower the water would leak into the rest of the bathroom which meant mopping up. Biggest irritation was the service at the breakfast buffet and pool side service. Having gone all inclusive and wanting to make most of it I'd say would take on average 40-60mins to get a drink by the pool. Would also say though that our room maid Lilah was friendly and went above and beyond her duties. Overall we had a great time there, however I'd say the hotel is closer to a 4 star hotel than a 5 star one.

Le Meridien Ile Maurice Sept 2024: Amazing team at an amazing hotel. Half the amazing experience is due to the top team and the other half due to the great hotel. Arrival process: excellent, smooth, efficient. Front desk and concierge: Very friendly and helpful front desk and concierge taking into account specific preferences for room. Sendilen, Shahyad, and many others. Restaurants: Nomad buffet was the best for us. Amazing team from the front to back. The best Indian food thanks to Kavi!!! The best fruit thanks to Nunkoo!!! Amazing freshly made hot waffles and crepes, eggs, ice cream. Thanks to all the chefs! Great service and cleaning from Romeo, Moorghen, Veeman, Yogesh, Debra’s, Drish and all the others I didn’t name! Amazing food and beverage. Thanks Praveen! Ala Carte Asian restaurant: great service and some good food options. Coastline: is amazing. Beach is amazing. Calm ocean. For swimming not all clear in so take protective water shoes for the coral. Lovely pier to take photos and see sunsets. You can also walk down the beach southwards where other hotels are. Sunsets: Amazing location for sunsets, stunning views from rooms, we had a 2nd floor. Rooms: large, great size and clean. Clean wooden floors. Amazing views. Amazing housekeeping staff to be commended. Engineering team also very quick to sort any issues out. Bathrooms: great bath, large bathroom, toilet, well laid out and spacious. Showers are leaky so use extra bath mats. Pools: 3 pools (1 adults only, 2 for all) which are great, water was cool in Sept should be better in warmer months. Hotel might have plans to heat the pools soon so keep a check on that. Grounds: lovely landscaping, an amazing hotel to walk around. Amazing greenery. Spa: good service. Clean. Jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, clean modern change rooms. Gym: amazing views over the ocean. Fully equipped. Great team. Live band in the lobby every night is tasteful. Well done.

Room service are to good.We used to clean the room as often as we went out . they all house keeper are too good. They all staff n all manager also very polite n responsible. i am definitely suggest my friend n family members also n we will come next time in Mauritius. I will stay la meridian.
