Best stay ever! I celebrated a very special birthday here and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the staff made me feel truly valued, especially Jerome and Devraj, who went above and beyond to make everything perfect. The service was simply out of this world; I genuinely felt like royalty throughout my stay. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, and the room in the Nirvana section was exquisite beautifully designed, serene, and the perfect space to unwind in pure comfort. Every detail was thoughtfully considered. An unforgettable experience that I will treasure, I cannot wait to return!

We had a great stay at this hotel with good amenities and plenty of activities. There are tennis courts, archery, and various options at the boat house, which made it easy to stay active and entertained during the stay. The snow room was my favorite part of the spa. Gym is also fully equipped with everything you’ll need. The hotel staff were very helpful and handled everything professionally whenever we had questions or needed assistance. Our favorite area of the resort was the Nirvana area, which is absolutely lovely. However, this isn’t clearly explained in the Marriott app, so it’s worth asking about it directly. The butlers in this area were wonderful and truly took care of every need. The hotel also does a fantastic job with decorations and atmosphere for special occasions like Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year, which really added to the experience. A special thank you to Aziza in Guest Relations, who was incredible and so kind to us throughout our stay. Sushi at Jade was amazing and beautifully served by the lovely Nalini — definitely a highlight. We also had a private dinner at Waves on the 15th, which made the trip feel complete. Huge thanks to Nivis for arranging such a memorable evening. Overall, a very enjoyable stay, and we will definitely be back.

Celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary at the Le Meridien Hotel was a truly memorable experience. We sought and booked an evening meal venue for this milestone, and the hotel did not disappoint. From the moment we arrived, the attentive service—from the reception to the waiting staff—made us feel valued, which is what one would expect from a five-star establishment. The breathtaking view of the beach from the reception area was a stunning backdrop, and the tasteful decor, combined with the spacious layout, created an inviting atmosphere. The cleanliness was impressive, with not a single leaf out of place on the path leading to the beach. The culinary offerings were equally remarkable, featuring an extensive selection of seafood, as well as vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes that catered to every palate. Overall, we felt well cared for by the friendly and attentive staff, and we are already looking forward to returning for a weekend stay.

As a Marriott Member, I would like to share my experience at Le Méridien Ile Maurice, especially after witnessing an incident in the lobby today and reading a recent negative review that does not reflect what I personally experienced. First of all, my stay at this resort was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were consistently very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The entire staff was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional throughout my stay. I truly felt taken care of from arrival to departure. I also arrived before the official check-in time. As clearly stated during booking, check-in starts at 2:00 PM. Since my room was not ready yet (which is completely normal in hotels worldwide), the staff kindly offered me access to a shower room so I could freshen up and change. After that, I was able to relax, have a drink, and enjoy the beach and hotel facilities while waiting. I found this service thoughtful and very accommodating. Additionally, on my departure day, they generously allowed me a late check-out (three hours later) which truly helped me a lot and made my last day much more comfortable. I am sincerely very grateful for this kind gesture and would like to thank the team from the bottom of my heart. Today, before leaving, I witnessed the situation mentioned in a recent negative review. An indian woman was shouting very loudly in the lobby and behaving aggressively toward the manager, who remained calm and professional while trying to de-escalate the situation. Management handled it with patience and composure. The couple was then escorted to the lounge area. From what I observed, the staff did not behave aggressively at all (quite the opposite). They showed restraint and professionalism despite the guest’s very confrontational attitude. Early check-in requests can never be guaranteed, no matter how many messages are sent in advance. This depends on occupancy and room readiness. Expecting immediate access and reacting with hostility when it’s not possible is unfair to hotel staff who are doing their best. In contrast to that review, my experience was excellent. The service, kindness, and hospitality of the team truly made my stay memorable. I would gladly return and highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Mauritius.

A huge thank you to Joanna and the Zumba-certified instructor for going above and beyond. My wife had just missed the scheduled Let’s Dance class, and as she does not participate in sea activities, these classes were very important to her. Joanna and the Zumba-certified instructor kindly offered to run an additional session during their lunch break, which we truly appreciated. Their energy, professionalism, and genuine care shown truly made a difference to our experience at the hotel. As a small suggestion, a shaded venue or covered pavilion would make it even more comfortable. A special thank you as well to Jaya for her excellent, attentive customer service. The Fisherman buffet and the Mauritian buffet were excellent and thoroughly enjoyable. The Italian buffet, however, was slightly disappointing compared to the other dining experiences. The gym facilities were excellent and very well maintained. One concern was the presence of stray dogs around the hotel. We were reassured this would be addressed, and we hope this will be resolved for future guests.
