We spent our honeymoon at the Intercontinental and overall had a wonderful stay with many highlights. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, and our room was beautifully decorated with champagne and a large cake—a thoughtful surprise. A special thanks goes to Hari from housekeeping, who prepared our room perfectly every day, paying attention to every detail and even providing extra water without us asking. We also loved the buffet at Senso, enjoyed the evening activities including a surprise cocktail event, and had a fantastic Spa experience with massage, sauna, and jacuzzi. However, for a 5-star hotel, some attention to detail could be improved. Many beach loungers were worn and dirty, and one day a dead rat was left on the beach for hours. Service at the pool and beach felt understaffed, with sunbeds and couches often not prepared, and no one ever asked if we wanted food or drinks. In our room, the main door was thin, and we could hear everything from outside, which affected our privacy and comfort. The biggest issue was water service in the room. Only two small bottles were provided daily, and it was impossible to get more through room service despite multiple calls and a visit to reception. Housekeeping solved it at last, but this should never happen in a 5-star hotel. Overall, the exceptional staff, beautiful room surprises, and great dining and Spa experiences made our honeymoon special, but some service, maintenance, and room comfort issues prevent it from being flawless.

This is truly a wow factor luxurious beach resort which strikes you as you enter the lobby with the most incredible views of sea and mountains in a tranquil setting. The service throughout our stay was exceptional, we had breakfast included and enjoyed a la carte meals in all of the restaurants where the food was of excellent quality and reasonably priced for a 5 star resort. The rooms are spacious with beautiful sea view balconies. The hotel was full but never felt crowded due to the clever design of the spaces and seating with plenty of cabanas and sun lounges. A special shout out to Aditi who gave us such a wonderful check out experience with recommendations for our next visit , she made us want to book the next visit on our way out! Highly recommend this resort hotel to couples , families or solo travellers looking for the perfect Mauritius experience!

We had a truly wonderful stay at InterContinental Balaclava on our first trip with our toddler. The resort is fabulous, with beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities, and food that was absolutely delicious. What stood out most, however, was the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. Every interaction was marked by genuine care and hospitality. A very special mention and heartfelt thanks to Jaywantee ji and Surya ji, who went above and beyond to ensure our little one was comfortable and well taken care of. They paid such thoughtful attention to her meals, preparing simple, wholesome food with so much patience and kindness. Their personal touch and willingness to accommodate even the smallest details made us feel completely at ease as parents. We also noticed how the rest of the team was always smiling, courteous, and eager to help, which made the entire atmosphere of the resort even more welcoming. It truly felt like a home away from home. Our daughter had the best time in the fully equipped play area, which was safe, fun, and perfectly designed for children her age. It gave us the chance to relax while knowing she was happy and engaged. Overall, this was an unforgettable experience for our family, and we are deeply grateful to the entire team at InterContinental Balaclava for making it so special. We will always remember this trip fondly and look forward to returning soon.

I had a wonderful experience at the International Resort Mauritius. The property is stunning and offers a warm, relaxing atmosphere that truly reflects Mauritian hospitality. However, we did notice a few minor negative points that we believe are worth mentioning so the management can take steps for improvement. In some restaurants, a few staff members seemed less attentive or were seen walking around without much engagement. Apart from that, at the Indian restaurant Veda,even with limited staff,the service remained excellent 👌, warm and well-managed. A special mention to SWAPNALI, who really stood out during our stay. I often saw her moving around the restaurant alone, covering most of the guests with great care and attention with genuine smile. Overall we had a memorable experience. With a bit more consistency across all outlets, it could easily reach perfection.

We travelled to Intercontinental Mauritius at the end of August this year and had the most amazing time. The staff couldn't do enough for you and were incredibly nice throughout the entire trip. Special mention to Abhay who was incredibly attentive and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful with one of the most impressive hotel lobby's we have ever seen. The rooms were fantastic. Spacious, luxurious and kept incredibly keen. The restaurants and food provided was varied and delicious and we loved that you could order to wherever you were on the beach. A second special mention to Rajesh from Summertimes (our rep) who helped to organise the most fantastic trips. He never pushed us but was super informative and really helped us make our holiday as amazing as it was. We would recommend this to any one and will certainly be returning in the future.
