VERY BIG CLEANLINESS PROBLEM for a 5 star hotel, we took a family suite and it was dirty every day. Don't look under the bed you risk having an attack because it's so full of dust and dirt, we complained several times but nothing was seriously done to improve our stay so I did the cleaning myself . The staff is friendly and smiling, the restaurants are very good but we were a little disappointed with the Indian restaurant. We still appreciated the idyllic setting of the hotel

extremely in love with this hotel
the smell of the lemongrass in the room is very unique
the people in the reception are very professional and kind
the view at the lobby is heart taking the specially during sunset
breakfast and dinner buffet are over expectations, they provide my dad with a complementary dinner science we did the reservation for him very late
the water activities are very interesting, the man in the boat house offered us to have a dolphin watching trip and we told him we have a bad trip few days ago, he told us if you don’t see the dolphins don’t pay.
the water in the pool was warm and suitable for kids.
love the night vibes in the hotel
and we loved that most of the north activities are just few minutes away from the hotel

The good:
This is a great resort. It perhaps the prettiest I have been to. Lots of mature palm trees and vegetation and great lighting at night. The rooms are beautiful and well laid out. The beach and surf look good especially with the sharp jagged mountains in the background. The staff are friendly. The cleaning service was the best we have ever seen - thank you Corrina - the care a pride you put into your word is commendable! Breakfast was amazing - so tasty and almost infinite options! The staff manning each booth were super happy and friendly. The gym and spa were great too. The staff were super flexible and understanding. They have a card system for towels which was great. There were lots of chairs / loungers available too.
The bad:
We found it pricey.
The location would be tricky without a car…we had one.
You can swim in the lagoon but not the beach due to coral…I think this is the same for the whole island. The breach was beautiful mind you.
The food other than breakfast was pricey and so so in my opinion - we didn’t get all inclusive. It could be justified if delicious but…
The coffee service in AM was a bit hit and miss for timing to sync with eating.
There really wasn’t much activity- less a reflection of the vast programming they have available and more the clientele. Not many people doing sports etc.
Over-all I would come back!

We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights and it was absolutely incredible. The service and hospitality at the hotel by all the staff members is fantastic. We felt so welcome and we were taken care of from the moment we arrived. A special thanks to Kevin who honestly made our stay stress free. He helped us with all our questions from excursions, rooms, restaurant booking etc and we were not let down. We were celebrating a few occasions on this trip and we were spoilt by all the staff and they honestly made it that extra bit special.
The food options here are great and they cater so well for everyone. I would 100% recommend this hotel!
Thanks again Kevin and everyone at the Intercontinental for making us feel so welcome and taking care of us.

Absolutely loved our stay at Intercontinental hotel in one of their family rooms with a fantastic view of the ocean. This hotel really knows how to do luxury well. From the warm welcome at check in to efficient service at dinner times we really felt well catered for at Intercontinental. The staff were always so friendly and approachable going out of their way to help you - a shout out to Vishan who always had a smile! The beach bar during the day sometimes seemed understaffed.
The food options are diverse with plenty of tasty options every night and chefs who will happily cater to your needs. It’s rare to find such wonderful food options at a buffet every night. There is live entertainment in the evening too with different shows on every night.
The only downside to this hotel is their beachfront. The sea is rough making it difficult to partake in the water activities available at the boathouse. It’s not the best beach to swim in but other than that it is truly a memorable stay and I would fully recommend.
