I'm giving this place the absolute lowest rating possible. My recent stay at Anantara was a disaster from beginning to end, and I'm not exaggerating. It wasn't just a few minor issues; there were serious safety concerns and a complete lack of care from the staff. It started with a 15 minute wait at the airport for the driver – already not a great start. When I finally got to my room, it was dirty. Like actually dirty. But the worst part was the safety. A DOG BIT MY FRIEND (and another guest!). The resort's solution? Basically, "oh well, we'll add more security now." Seriously? We were freaked out, and the police even got involved, but it felt like no one cared. And to top it all off, I had jewelry stolen. The resort's response? They basically shrugged and said it "happens all the time." The general manager Daniel even told some story about how people "find" their stuff later. I mean, what?! Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone.

From arrival to departure, every detail reflected top-tier hospitality, personalized care, and the kind of warmth that transforms a vacation into a lasting memory. The service was exceptional throughout—genuine, seamless, and always delivered with a smile. Special thanks to Mr. Nicolas L’Espérance for his outstanding coordination and meticulous attention to detail, and to Ms. Shivi Seeratun for her gracious and attentive guest services. Their professionalism and warmth set the tone for an experience that exceeded expectations. We were celebrating a 50th birthday, a 10th birthday, and a 52nd wedding anniversary. The resort helped make each occasion truly special. The culinary team—including Chefs Sanjay, Vij, Vincent, and their colleagues—went above and beyond. Every meal was beautifully presented, rich in flavor, and thoughtfully tailored to our dietary needs. From young children to grandparents, each member of our group was delighted by the creativity and quality. A highlight of our trip was the private catamaran excursion arranged by the resort. While the vessel was an older model, it was clean, comfortable, and fully functional. The crew made the experience exceptional. Mr. Kishan and Ms. Melissa ensured smooth transfers to the marinas; Mr. Mike managed our speedboat transfers with care and efficiency; and the catamaran team—Logistics Coordinator Mr. Daniel, Skipper Mr. Kersley, Crewman Mr. Gino, and the ever-cheerful Mrs. Julie—delivered a fun, safe, and relaxing day on the water. The thoughtful touches made all the difference. Catering for our excursions was perfectly prepared, celebrations were beautifully arranged, and the staff often anticipated our needs before we even expressed them. Though we cannot name everyone here, we extend our deepest gratitude to all. Special recognition goes to Mr. Daniel Méndez, the General Manager, who oversaw everything with excellence. The setting is tranquil, the property impeccably maintained, and it is the energy of the team that truly sets this resort apart. With each passing day, we found ourselves wishing for more time in this idyllic retreat. We wholeheartedly recommend Anantara Iko Mauritius to anyone seeking authentic luxury, personalized service, and unforgettable experiences. It stands out as one of the finest resorts in the Indian Ocean.

The complete resort is wonderful with amazing amenities and their beach is so clean and peaceful. Their rooms as well as the washrooms are super clean and you gonna feel fresh all the time there. Mainly, the Indian food there is so amazing, you will food same as the India with all spices and everything, all this because of their Indian chef Mr. Pradeep Singh and their restaurant Zafraan, he is a wonderful man by his work as well as by heart. His food didn’t made us miss our authentic home food, especially his Masala Chai, it was wooonnnderrr-fuuuullll. I have never eaten so delicious Dum Aloo than the one made by him. The staff of their restaurant Zafraan is so kind and humble, especially their head staff Mrs. Vineeta Ji. If you are an Indian, I highly recommend to stay in Anantara Iko Mauritius, and visit their restaurant ZAFRAAN and have food by their best Chef Pradeep Singh.

From the moment we checked into our villa till we left, the service from the team ( Prashant, Vicky and Ashraf) was top notch and professional. They went above and beyond with the service. I believe that they represented the brand really well. The beach was fun, the kids loved the waves. We went to all the restaurants and they were nice. Our villa had the pool which is why we didn't use the hotel pool. Personally I would like to thank Daniel the manager for looking after us, he went beyond his duties to assist us. I recommend going on the island hopping trip it's worth visiting. The team can arrange it. Our first visit in Mauritius was really good. Thanks to all the team and their support.

I had an amazing time at Anantara resort. Beautiful Hotel, amazing staff. Nicolas professionally guided us through the resort and we immediately felt at ease. I personally enjoyed the Rhum tasting and the Spa along with the secret alley to the beach. Lunch was exquisite. I will definitely come back.
