An absolute amazing resort less than 10 minutes from the airport.
Really welcoming and caring staff that go above and beyond to make sure they can help you with everything.
Breakfast,Room Service food, Dinner and bar was amazing.
Stayed at the beach deluxe ocean view first floor.
Every single part of the hotel is spot on details, just the ones that can’t be chased at all times which is completely fine. ( little nature animals, nothing to be afraid of ).
Gym facilities and spa available on site. Very organized as from my visit.
In general a great stay and would highly recommend it.
Some pictures are also from the 4 bedroom villa that can sleep up to 10 or 12 people ( when more beds added). Really spacious and with connection to the reception with easy access, private pool. For more info about the villa contact the resort. This is more than service you’d expect to get in Mauritius.

We visited your wonderful restaurant Sea.Fire.Salt and placed an order. We waited for one hour and twenty-five minutes but still did not receive our ordered dishes. Meanwhile, other customers who arrived after us and ordered the same dishes were served. Why did this happen? And believe me, I am very restrained in my comments right now.

My brief sojourn at the Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort offered a multifaceted experience that intertwined culinary delights, luxurious accommodations, and the subtle nuances of service.
The culinary experience surpassed expectations. Breakfast at the resort was a gastronomic revelation, featuring a diverse array of dishes not commonly encountered. The inclusion of Shakshouka, among other international delicacies, offered a savory testament to the global palate catered to by the resort.
Accommodations at the resort were a reflection of modern luxury and spacious comfort. The impeccable cleanliness and contemporary design, underscored the recent construction of the hotel. In addition, the complimentary access to the jacuzzi at the spa emerged as an unexpected delight!
The service, while commendable, occasionally faltered, particularly noted during lunchtime where the distraction of staff in personal conversations detracted from the overall dining experience.
The resort’s infrastructure, though commendable for its intimacy and proximity to the beach, was characterized by a notably small pool area. This, coupled with the occasional overhead passage of airplanes, introduced a unique dynamic to the resort's otherwise serene ambiance.
In summary, my experience at the Anantara Iko Mauritius Resort was memorable and largely positive, meriting its distinction as a five-star establishment. Despite the occasional service lapse, which suggests a potential area for staff training enhancement, the resort stands as a commendable choice for travelers seeking luxury, culinary excellence, and a strategic location close to the beach. The fusion of modernity with luxury, alongside its gastronomic offerings, positions it as a worthy destination for discerning guests.

We had a great stay at Anantara.
We love that the hotel has an 100m set back from the beach, making it very natural and enhancing the wild aspect of the South Coast.
The pool overlooking the big waves and the dark rocks is just amazing. The second pool (heated) is a great added value, it's kid friendly, not windy and has a good vibe with it's in the water bar and kids areas all around.
The cocktails are DELICIOUS (try the signature cocktails). The cardamom mule at Sea Fire Salt restaurant was my favorite but they are all very good. The mocktails are a little too sweet though.
The food is good and I would advise to eat at the à la carte restaurants and not at the buffet. The pastries at the breakfast are delicious and the desert also surprisingly good compare to other 5 stars.
The staff is friendly and you see that the hotel management is looking at the client's experience.
We loved it and we will be back. This hotel is really different that the other resorts on the Island and you should visit it during your stay.
We had live music on Friday and Saturday. Only girls live bands, well-done!
We will be back, thank you Anantara team.

Staying at the Anantara Iko in Mauritius was, unfortunately, a far cry from the expectations one might have for a 5-star resort. Despite its promising name and potential, the reality felt more akin to a 3-star experience, largely due to significant lapses in service and amenities.
The most striking issue encountered was the housekeeping service—or, more accurately, the lack of it. Getting the room cleaned felt like an unnecessary challenge, with requests seemingly lost or ignored. This basic expectation of hotel service was not met with the promptness or efficiency one would hope for in such an establishment.
Even more frustrating was the ordeal of obtaining fresh towels. The rare occasions when new towels were provided, they arrived in a sorry state, with threads unraveling, suggesting a lack of proper laundering. This raised concerns not only about the hotel’s attention to cleanliness but also about their overall commitment to guest comfort and satisfaction.
The dining experience did little to compensate for these shortcomings. The food was described as below average, lacking the quality one might expect from a hotel that markets itself with a 5-star rating. This, combined with service that often fell below par, significantly detracted from the overall experience of staying at Anantara
Given these experiences, it's hard to justify the resort as a 5-star destination. Visitors might find themselves paying premium prices for what ultimately feels like a premium 3-star service at best. For those seeking the luxury and seamless comfort promised by a 5-star rating, it may be advisable to look elsewhere.
