Salt of Palmar provided a wonderful resort experience in a tropical paradise setting which can be described as heavenly. We stayed in a 'Bang on the Beach' room with a stunning view of the ocean and mind-blowing sunrises from the east. Our room felt quaint and intimate. There is minimal bathing privacy in the bathroom space, which is perfect if you're comfortable showering in front of your partner. It feels intentional, with the goal of bringing couples closer together. We did have to request a mini-fridge multiple times before one was eventually brought to our room. This is a minor complaint, as the issue was rectified. I appreciate the overall attentive and pleasant service from all members of the staff. Most of the employees were wonderful to interact with. I wish I could remember more of the standout characters who were repeatedly welcoming with smiles and positive attitudes. The cuisine at Salt was top tier quality. I highly recommend the 'Tek Tek' interactive multi-course meal experience with Chef Ravi. His chef coat was embroidered with the words "Sous Chef" but I can confirm he is a master of his craft who prepares food with extreme creativity at the highest level. I would love to return to Salt when I visit the gorgeous green island of Mauritius in the future.

We had an unforgettable stay at the Salt of Palmar Hotel in Mauritius. From start to finish, absolutely everything was perfect. The food was simply 10 out of 10 – varied, fresh, flavorful, and every meal was a real highlight. Truly top, top, top! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We would especially like to mention Dev who supported us in so many ways. He gave us great tips, was always willing to help, and was exceptionally kind. Thanks to him, we discovered wonderful experiences that made our holiday even more special. The hotel itself is beautiful: peaceful, well maintained, and with a lovely atmosphere. The beach is absolutely stunning – clean, calm, and perfect for relaxing. We also loved that we could use the kayaks for free. The snorkeling was fantastic as well – a definite highlight! We highly recommend the Salt of Palmar Hotel. It was a dream vacation, and we would come back again anytime!

We spent 10 days at Salt of Palmar and were very satisfied and happy. The room was fantastic with a sea view, and the rooms were always spotlessly clean and tidy. The hotel is also great. It has everything you need and is right on the beach. It also has a gym and offers various activities. The food is also excellent. Perhaps it would be good to vary the menu a little, as at some point we didn't know what to eat anymore... but the food was always excellent and of great quality. The staff are also very friendly. Occasionally, a few mistakes were made by the waiters, but it wasn't a big deal. The hotel complex is also great. Rishi was very friendly and courteous and always helped us book various excursions or when we needed a taxi. Thank you again. A big thank you also to the waiters Dev and Rish. They were always very helpful and friendly and we always received excellent service when eating. We would definitely come back if we were to return to Mauritius. Thank you all for a wonderful time!

We’re so glad we chose to stay at this hotel! It has a stylish design and beautiful rooms that are Instagram perfect. I loved the fresh scent in the room, the shampoo and shower gel smelled amazing too, really good quality products. The food was tasty and healthy, and I really liked that it was à la carte instead of a buffet. I’d definitely recommend choosing the half-board option because the food is excellent! The hotel also offers lots of fun activities, I especially enjoyed the art paintings and the glass boat trip. Just a friendly warning — the birds might try to steal your food right in front of you! 😄

Salt of Palmar exceeded every expectation and made our week long stay truly unforgettable. The Food: We had the breakfast menu included and chose to dine a la carte most evenings. Every meal was outstanding. The food quality is excellent and there are plenty of thoughtful options for vegans and vegetarians. Each morning we woke up to the scent of fresh pastries from the bakery downstairs which was such a lovely way to start the day. The Spa: We visited the spa twice and it was a highlight of our trip. Our first visit was a 60 minute custom massage and the second was the 90 minute signature massage. Both began with a relaxing salt bath and scrub for the feet and calves before moving upstairs for the treatment. We had the same therapists for both visits which made the second massage even better since they already knew where we held tension. The signature massage finished with a peaceful 15 minutes in the salt room. I even fell asleep during it which has never happened to me before. We highly recommend the spa services. Our stay also coincided with my birthday and the staff went above and beyond. They decorated the room with thoughtful touches and surprised us with a birthday cake to enjoy together. It made the day feel very special. What truly sets Salt apart is the staff. The level of care and service is exceptional. We felt genuinely looked after from the moment we arrived. At breakfast we were greeted warmly and asked how we slept and what our plans were for the day. By the pool and beach there were even sunglass cleaning services which was such a nice detail. A special thank you to Rishi who took incredible care of us. He helped with golf course recommendations, arranged discounted tee times at some of the island’s most prestigious courses and provided great insights and recommendations for day trips around the island. His warmth and attentiveness made a big difference to our stay. Salt of Palmar is a place we will remember fondly and we cannot wait to return.
