SO Mauritius hotel exceeded all my expectations! The staff's warmth, professionalism, and genuine care made our stay unforgettable. Always greeted with smiles, they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Special thanks to Mr. Raj for his constant help and care. From immaculate rooms to exquisite dining, every detail was impeccable. I highly recommend SO Mauritius for a luxurious, welcoming retreat.

We spent a lovely week at this paradise. Equipped with bungalows and villas with seaview one have the feeling of staying in the jungle while surrounded by luxury and great service. A la carte food in the restaurant offers Michelin - like experience. Amazing beach views where one can always hear the roar of the waves bumping into the reef deep in the ocean. Overall it exceeded our expectations.

Trip in June 2019, seaside villa with a private pool. The staff was very pleasant, and the rooms were clean. Some outdoor facilities could be renovated. Not 100% perfect for a Sofitel.
High-quality spa and massage services, the management provided me with excellent hospitality, private tour of the gardens, champagne, cocktails, highly recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at SO Mauritius. The suites are nicely arranged in the beautiful natural environment. We felt very comfortable in our suite. We enjoyed every meal and the choice of cocktails were excellent. The best part of our stay was very friendly and cooperative staffs namely Ashish, Manisha, Vishnee, Vanesha, Sharon and not to forget Divya.

The hotel is very nice, and the rooms would be very nice if they were in mint condition, but they show their age - could use some serious renovations. Because of that it looks like it's not 100% clean, but the actual cleanliness is good.
Staff is excellent and so very welcoming, if anything I had to make good use of the DND sign often as the staff were frequently inquiring about any help I might need (at least twice a day, morning with cleaning and evening with additional checks and water refills). Everyone is extremely kind and helpful.
Restaurant and bar prices are very high, even for hotel standards, and there are no shops or locations to eat nearby, so take that into account.
Location is gorgeous, and this is a good home base for sightseeing excursions for the south of the island, provided you get a car or have a guide/driver (there is taxi service at the hotel, I have not tested it though).
Also, no ATM on the grounds - you can pay for everything with a card though.
