At Travcorp Holdings Ltd, we are committed to giving back to our local community and helping good causes nationally. Over the past few years, both our businesses (Destination2 and Holiday Gems), along with our incredibly generous staff, have taken part in a wide variety of collections, donations and sponsored events. We have helped various organisations, with our main focus being to raise funds for our chosen charity Reuben’s Retreat. We are immensely proud of the kindness and dedication shown across the whole of the business, and look forward to contributing even more to aid causes both in the North West and nationally. Beneficiaries of our efforts include the Stroke Association, The Salvation Army, Breast Cancer Now, Macmillan Cancer Support, Leeds Juniors Football Team, Business Fives, The UK Sepsis Trust and West Cheshire Foodbank. Pink on parade in effort to help fight against breast cancer...
A team of kindhearted Destination2 staff took fundraising efforts to new heights in the quest to help Reuben’s Retreat.
The group of 12 took on the challenge of conquering Mount Snowdon, with the exhausting hike up the highest peak in Wales raising a phenomenal £1,368 for the charity.
Spurred on by the thought of celebrating in a beer garden on their return, and helped by good weather, the team followed the Llanberis Path to successfully reach the top of the 1,085 metre (3,560ft) peak.
Along the way they got to enjoy stunning views of Snowdonia, Anglesey, Pembrokeshire and Ireland. However, the best sight of all was that of the pub at the end of the day.
Reuben’s Retreat is a cause well worth celebrating.
So, when the time comes for the charity’s annual REUBall, Destination2 is more than happy to get behind this glittering event.
Taking place in The Premier Suite, at The Bolton Stadium Hotel, in Bolton, the fundraising extravaganza draws the crowds for a dazzling night of dinner, dancing, drinks, fun, laughter and much more besides.
Destination2 staff jump at the chance of landing the hottest ticket in town, eager to join in the occasion, dress to impress and support a fabulous cause.
Last year’s event took on a 1920s theme, with guests donning glamorous gowns and tuxedos, and helping to raise an impressive £30,000.
This year’s bash promises to be bigger and better and you can find out more here.
Pink was the colour as the team at Destination2 showed up in force to support the battle against breast cancer.
Taking part in Wear It Pink Day for the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now, staff members not only helped to brighten up the office, but also raised much-needed funds to help fight the disease.
The organisation is on a mission to ensure that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives and is supported to live well.
As well as donning an assortment of shades and styles, our fundraisers also shared a smorgasbord of pink sweets, cakes, crisps, biscuits and other treats as a reward for their efforts.
From football competitions and food collections to barbecue feasts and race finish lines, the team at Travcorp Holdings Ltd have really gone the distance to help others. Whether running, climbing, baking or just making a donation to dine with colleagues and friends, our fundraisers have shown great kindness and commitment in their efforts. While some charity challenges may have been a lot tougher than others, everyone has taken to the task with a smile on their face and represented the business with immense pride. Keep up the amazing work!
Reuben passed away on August 21, 2012, due to an aggressive brain tumor while the family was on holiday in Devon. His mother made a heartfelt promise that his life would not be in vain, vowing to create a legacy in his honor. Every life, no matter how short, has the potential to touch the world in meaningful ways. The family was dedicated to donating Reuben's organs to help save others, but when that was not possible, his mother channeled her grief into something extraordinary. Just two days after his passing, ‘Reuben’s Retreat’ was established. This retreat became a sanctuary, a haven for families with children facing medical challenges, offering comfort, peace, and a place to create joyful memories amidst their struggles.
