we once again chose LUX Grand Baie* for a peaceful escape after a very busy end-of-year schedule, and once again, the experience exceeded all our expectations. From arrival to departure, everything was simply flawless. The atmosphere, service, and attention to detail made our stay truly memorable. Even as locals, this hotel always manages to make us feel like we are on a real holiday abroad. At this stage of our lives, this is exactly the kind of refined, calm, and relaxing hotel experience we look for. A special thank you to Mr. Vikram for the warm welcome—always professional, kind, and genuinely caring. Thank you to Jamie, a lady with a constant wonderful smile who brings so much positivity. Many thanks to Avishka and Brinda at the reception, always helpful, efficient, and attentive. A big thank you to Mr Dusoye from Beach Rouge Restaurant for always making sure we were well taken care of. I had a really lovely stay at LUX* Grand Baie. The service is top notch, dining is excellent, and views are amazing. Grand Baie is a great spot for those who love a lively holiday! LUX* Grand Baie has plenty of activities, and three amazing pools to lounge by, not to mention the most picturesque white sand beach. The Hydrothermal Bath Journey is also a must do whilst at the hotel.

Lunch at Lux Grand Baie was SO disappointing on many levels: 1) Service is mega slow and the servers don’t seem to have a clue about what they are supposed to do. 2) Food is meh & very basic for the price that they charge. 3) Most importantly, hygiene is seriously lacking in their main restaurant. I was SO grossed out by the napkin that was set on my table (see pics). The tables are also not well cleaned. Hygiene is not a priority in this place. I am not surprised to see the reviews about food poisoning after eating there. It makes me wonder about the state of the kitchen. For a 5 star hotel, this place is a major ripoff and such a big disappointment! Avoid at all costs as there are way better restaurants/hotels in Mauritius. What a shame!

LUX* Grand Baie has such a distinctive style — the design is modern, elegant, and beautifully executed. The food is excellent, and the service always feels warm and attentive. The spa is definitely worth a visit; the Turkish hammam is one of my favourite experiences there — so relaxing and well done. Club Rouge is also a great concept and adds a fun, vibrant touch to the hotel. I’ve been to all the LUX* resorts in Mauritius and each one has its own charm. They all bring something different to the table, which is what I love most about the LUX* brand.
