We had an amazing stay at Sofitel L’Imperial. The property offers breathtaking views and a very relaxing atmosphere throughout the resort. Our room was beautifully designed, aesthetic, and extremely comfortable, making the stay even more memorable. A special highlight was the hospitality and attention given to our dietary requirements. The team went above and beyond to customise the food for us, which made us feel truly cared for during our stay. Special thanks to Devina, Ishvari, and Chef Yoni for their warmth, exceptional service, and personal attention. They genuinely made our experience extra special. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and memorable stay in Mauritius!

We truly appreciated the courtesy and friendliness of most of the staff, especially Manisha, who was welcoming and professional throughout our stay. However, the restaurant experience did not meet expectations for a hotel like Sofitel. It appeared understaffed, which impacted service quality. During our 10-night stay, we only enjoyed dinner on about three occasions (particularly Indian, French, and Mauritian cuisine) due to limited variety. In hindsight, it may have been better to skip the half-board option and dine at nearby restaurants in Flic en Flac, where we found more satisfying options. Additionally, two waiters in the main restaurant made us feel unwelcome, which was disappointing. The water policy also raised hygiene concerns, as the outdoor dispenser was exposed to environmental elements. Breakfast was generally good, though not always consistent. I highly recommend the croissant and the fruit! They have a very good bakery station. Overall, while the staff were kind and helpful, better staffing levels and operational management would significantly enhance the guest experience.

Our stay at Sofitel Mauritius L'Impérial Resort & Spa was quite disappointing overall, and unfortunately I would rate it 2 stars. While the property location and beach views are beautiful, the actual experience did not match the standards expected from a luxury resort. The service felt slow and unorganized most of the time, and staff responsiveness was inconsistent. Simple requests took far too long, which became frustrating during the stay. The rooms looked decent initially, but cleanliness and maintenance could definitely be improved. Housekeeping was not attentive, and the overall hospitality lacked warmth and professionalism. Food was another major disappointment. The taste and quality were average at best, with limited good options, especially for vegetarians. Considering the pricing and brand reputation, the dining experience did not feel worth it at all. The resort has a nice location and potential, but management seriously needs to improve service quality. sadly, this stay did not feel luxurious or memorable in a positive way.

I stayed at Sofitel for 5 days. Check‑in was smooth and we were greeted warmly, receiving a beautiful room. Unfortunately, the positive experience ended there. At the beach, we wanted to order drinks and snacks but were told only drinks were available. Buffet dinner was average, and breakfast over several days was unpleasant most staff (around 80–90%) were unfriendly toward us. As Asian travelers, we felt treated differently, which was very disappointing. At the same time, they thought we are from China which we are NOT! The pool staff were friendly, but when I tried to charge items to my room, I was told it was under “no post,” meaning no deposit had been given. This was incorrect, as I had already paid a deposit of 25,000 at check‑in. Having worked in hotels myself, I know deposits are always required unless it’s a one‑night stay. I also visited the gym and asked spa staff about the menu, but again encountered unfriendliness. Overall, the staff seemed unwelcoming and non professional, which left me with a negative impression. For single or non‑couple travelers, I would not recommend Sofitel, as the atmosphere felt unwelcoming and seemed to favor only certain guests. The main reason I chose this resort was to try something new, but compared to my previous stay at Hilton, where staff were extremely friendly and I never felt any discrimination… this was a disappointing experience.

This is a great location for the Island if you want to stay in one place and travel north and south. The service was amazing and the staff go out of their way to make you feal welcome. The rooms are modern, big and clean. The beach is beautiful and you get to see some amazing sunsets
