This resort was magical! The whole experience from getting to the marina, to checking in, having your bags delivered to your room, as well as having your own virtual personal assistant via WhatsApp shows that the resort goes above and beyond for their customers. Both swimming pools are amazing, with very little (or even none) chlorine in them. I also loved how attentive every single staff member was that I came into interaction with. Me and my husband stayed for 2 nights and felt that the price of food and options were very reasonable. I am a vegetarian and generally find it quite difficult to have a range of options available to me. This was not the case with Santhiya as they had lots of different vegetarian/vegan breakfast, lunch and dinner options. You also have access to a beach whilst staying at this resort and the ocean around November time was very warm! Overall, our experience was amazing and we would definitely return to Santhiya in the future.

Wonderful place, this hotel is quite luxury. We went in guest mode to eat and spent afternoon. We took transfer from parking to swimming pool and what a spectacular view on lagoon and Phuket island from there, my eyes big open ! We eat delicious food and after we took bath in the swimming pool. Prices for eat are correct but we saw rooms quite expensive. BUT when you take all luxury service, it's justified ! I put 5 stars for this exceptional situation, for sure it stay fabulous memories 👍

Rocky start, smoother exit. Beautiful place but service is not really worth 5 stars. First, starting with a group check-in that they are unable to handle despite knowing exactly how many people arrive in their mandatory boat shuttle. It took forever to get someone to take care of us upon arrival to the island and get us our room. Second, they load you into the wooden truck and leave you alone - good luck finding your way. Luggage then took almost 2 hours to get into our room. Third, they seem advanced with their Whatsapp service but someone answers only every 30minutes and after many reminders so to get something done or an issue sorted, it took us on average 2 hours. Probably faster to take the wooden truck to the reception and back than waiting for their Whatsapp answer. Finally, all restaurants work as self ordering via QR code which may make it efficient but it also completely takes away any human interaction which makes it difficult if any issues with the food or drinks. On top, I personally find it very odd to only interact with a phone the whole time. On the positive note, they did change our room to a better view as originally they put as above restaurant with very ugly roof instead of jungle/sea view as advertised. The place is very nicely designed with many picturesque views and plenty of sunbeds on the beach. Our departure via speedboat to a different island was also very smooth so that left overall better impression.

We loved everything about this resort. We had a room in building 2, this building was within walking distance of the restaurant where breakfast is and we had a beautiful view of the ocean. The room was good, the bed was very nice and the view was amazing! At first I was worried about insects because of the wood, however, we had no problems at all with this. The shuttle that goes to the pool and beach comes regularly, we only had to wait an average of 5 minutes. The staff is incredibly friendly and the pools are beautiful. There were a bit few sunbeds, but during the time we were there we could always find one. We ate in the "village" every night, 10 minutes walk from the hotel (from the reception). Recommendations are Mama Seafood and Harris. We also rented scooters in the village for 200 tbh p.p. for 1 day. Furthermore, the hotel transfer from the airport was super arranged and at a good rate, especially since you get out directly to the hotel so this is definitely recommended. We can recommend this resort to everyone, it is a fantastically beautiful and quiet place with still plenty to do.

We’ve had the pleasure of staying at Santhiya Koh Yao Yai Resort & Spa twice, and both times were unforgettable. On our first visit, we stayed in a villa with a private pool, which was an absolute dream—complete privacy and luxury. This time, we opted for a room with a balcony featuring a bathtub, and the experience was just as delightful. The views from both accommodations were truly magnificent, overlooking the ocean and nearby islands, adding to the serene atmosphere. The location is unbeatable, offering peace, beauty, and a real escape from the world—definitely 5 stars. The service remains impeccable, with the staff always friendly and eager to help, which really elevates the entire experience. The only minor issue we encountered was the occasional cockroach in the room, which brings the room rating down to 4 stars. However, the overall stay was excellent, and we highly recommend it for anyone looking for a luxurious, tranquil retreat.

This is a 3-star hotel pretending to be 5-star. The only 5-star feature was the price, everything else was below expectation. The staff often failed to resolve problems (eg. I rang reception when room service hadn't been confirmed for more than 30 mins, and they hung up before giving any response). The worst part was the arrival/departure, which required us to wade through water with no warning or help. When we arrived, we waited in a long tail taxi boat for 30+ minutes whilst concierge staff favoured all other guests in smaller groups, and were not given any wading gear when we eventually got in the water. We were told to download the app for all services to make our stay more convenient, but the app had to be refreshed and logged into every time we used it before it worked, and there was a surcharge on all app-bought drinks/food despite this removing the need for bar service. The restaurant was extortionately expensive, and was full at dinner time on the day we arrived (with no other option other than to wait for a later time). Our room was never fully cleaned, with sand left on the floor and beach towels not changed. The air con was always set back to 25 degrees leaving the room boiling hot, and the bottled water was left out to heat up. There were no drinks or snacks in the mini bar, these had to be ordered separately. The hotel provided us a long tail taxi boat on our departure day, for which they gave us 2 separate and different instructions about when and where to meet. This boat was 30 minutes late, and risked us missing our following ferry. Regarding the positives: the rooms were spacious and modern, the pool had fantastic views out to sea, and the spa was a 10/10 experience (the lovers caress package was excellent value for money, it was a very relaxing and enjoyable 150 minutes). If I'd have lowered my expectations to a 3-star hotel, then I'd have been far less disappointed with this stay.

We visited many hotels during our trip in Thailand and this was absolutely our favorite! We will definitely come back again. The transfer from and to tonsai pier was well arranged. The resort is on a lovely part of the island, nice and quiet but there are still plenty of stores and restaurants within walking distance of the resort. The rooms are wonderful in every way, the bed was very comfortable, everything was incredibly clean and it smelled wonderful. We were also real fans of the lovely coconut-scented shower gel and body lotion. Breakfast was extensive and delicious and the restaurant has beautiful views of the sea. In addition, both pools were very clean and beautiful. We really could not find any negative points about this resort and can recommend everyone to book here!

What fun we had! We are a couple, celebrating our honeymoon, we arrived at the resort as part of a long trip and took a villa with a pool in front of a breathtaking view for 3 nights. The room is crazy, it is in the middle of the jungle, the pool is very large and in front of the sea, islands, spectacular cliffs - there are no words to describe the beauty. Since the room is really in the middle of the jungle, some animals like lizards easily enter the house, but once you accept that - you live in paradise. The breakfast with a rich and good buffet, the coffee is excellent, the service of the staff is excellent especially Nora who helped us with everything we needed and made us feel like special guests. We highly recommend for a dream vacation!

We had an amazing time at Phi Phi, and honestly speaking it would not be possible without Woody’s hospitality. He found out that it was our honeymoon and went out of the way to show hospitality to us as a couple. He gave us full recommendations on how to enjoy our time at the hotel. We went for scuba diving, a fancy dinner and the spa. We also got drinks on the beach, and spend time living in the beautiful resort with the best food I have had outside my home.

I really liked the Hotel. In my opinion the bath could be cleaner but the rest of the hotel room was very comfy, clean and pretty. The food is more expensive than on other islands but it’s worth it. We only didn’t liked the Pizza that much. The service and stuff were super friendly and fast with everything. You can rent bikes & Kajaks for free. The small village behind the hotel is very cute and local. I can recommend it and would come back. If you like it quiet and relaxing this is your hotel!

Everything is absolutely great in this resort. We've been there for three nights during our honeymoon in Thailand. The garden is beautiful, never seen such a various breakfast. All dishes fantastic. But what's also fantastic are the prices inside the resort. Dishes are about 4-6 times more expensive than 150m restaurants outside the resort. Also the massage is about 2000 Baht for 1 hour (outside 350 to 450). Cocktail prices are ok during Happy Hour (160 Baht each) - outside about 100-120 (non-happy-hour-prices). Both pools (hillside pool in the picture) are clean and have good temperatures. Also the beach was very clean). The stuff also was very friendly and helpful. A bit overpriced (3 nights about 900 €) but we'd book it again as a honeymoon ;)

We spent 18 nights at the resort and absolutely loved it. It has tasty breakfast, incredibly friendly staff, nice pools and a beautiful beach. Especially great for families with babies or small children. Outside of the resort you can find great local restaurants within walking distance.

The housekeeping staff at this hotel entered my room without permission, rummaged through my belongings, and stole Thai baht. They operate in pairs—one steals while the other keeps watch. This happened to me today, so I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place. The hotel staff claim they can access guest rooms at any time without consent. They seem to monitor when guests leave, such as when you call a driver, and use the opportunity to commit theft. When I reported the incident, the hotel shirked all responsibility and offered no apology. When I took the matter to the police, they threatened to charge me with defamation if no other fingerprints were found on my wallet. They also claimed it would take one to two weeks to conduct a fingerprint analysis. A quick online search reveals that such incidents are disturbingly common in Thailand, with little accountability. This experience was not only disappointing but also deeply unsettling.

Beautiful hotel with excellent and smiling customer service. Authentic thai excellence. Large, coxy main pool. Relaxing beach and short walk to the bigger beach with many restaurants, bars and fire shows. Rooms are like cabins, very nice. Comfortable beds and pillows. Breakfast was a somewhat noicy but great selection of food.

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I stayed here over Christmas for four nights and they were the best nights of our entire trip. The resort spared no expense for a fantastic Christmas party with live entertainment and fantastic food. I also booked a private candlelit dinner here and probably had the best three course meal I’ve ever had. The staff were exceptional, they cleaned our rooms every day, leaving little gifts for us which really showed the value of paying for this resort. I would recommend this resort to anybody visiting Thailand, I will certainly be heading back there as soon as I can!

Our villa, surrounded by lush greenery, felt like a private retreat in the heart of nature. This place is amazing! The staff is so welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed how peaceful and calm it was compared to the usual busy tourists areas. I had only wished we booked our stay longer! This is truly the best hotel on the island. The service here is like no other. Everyone is super nice and friendly, very knowledgeable and always happy to help. I forgot pretty much about every worry I had - from where my luggage was when we arrived, to where we should leave it after we checked out. It's truly remarkable and they make great efforts to make your stay pleasant. This is hands down the best hotel I've been to so far. Admittedly, I'm a foodie and the food here is above average, but not exceptional. The hotel is fortunate to be close to Phi Phi Village (2kms - 10 min beach walk + taxi) where you can find some local restaurants and try their food. Honestly it's a no brainier for booking this resort.

What an amazing place for a relaxing time. Slow life time here with a beautiful beach. The road to get there is an experience itself, a bit bumpy but nice jungle landscape and worth the effort. The Thaï food we had was very good and they organized some fire and buffet on the beach which were great too. There is a private pier and boats from the hotel. They propose activities and rent kayaks. The beachfront front with the pool is very comfy and nicely decorated. The staff is very kind. We've appreciated a lot our stay and wish we could have stayed more days.

Our honeymoon stay at this hotel was truly unforgettable! The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Everyone was very friendly and the service amazing. The accommodation itself was next level. We were delighted to receive an upgrade, and they made our honeymoon feel extra special with a "Happy Honeymoon" message beautifully arranged on the bed, along with a bottle of champagne and a fruit basket waiting for us. The dining experience was also a highlight, with a great variety of delicious food to choose from each day. We never lacked options, and each meal was a treat. The spa was a highlight of our stay as well. The treatments were fairly priced and provided a wonderfully relaxing and tranquil experience. The spa staff were well-trained and professional, ensuring that each session felt luxurious and rejuvenating. It was the perfect way to unwind during our honeymoon. All in all, we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Highly recommended!

Idyllic resort, the most relaxing place to stay. The weather is extremely hot at all times so you will be going from pool to ocean all day. The breakfast buffet was incredible. Views are spectacular. Lots of activities to participate in. All staff were helpful and kind. Room service, laundry service and turn down service was wonderful. They made my friend’s birthday dinner very special. Overall a truly wonderful stay.

Let me first say that if you are looking to be off the grid but still relatively close to civilization, Paradise Hotel is the perfect location for you! Before booking, ask yourself, do you truly want to be secluded or do you want to be close to amenities etc. They offer transportation to the small town which does have a 7/11 if need be, but again, there may be a cost associated with it. If you are truly looking for seclusion and a relaxing vacation, Paradise provides just that. They have the nicest, and friendliest staff. Also, there are tons of activities you can do!!! The activity centre as something for everyone. The breakfast is phenomenal, lots of options and was probably the best breakfast I had at any hotel. The atmosphere is amazing and I highly recommend staying here :)

The highlight of our Thailand trip! Amazing location, beautiful rooms. Food was incredible and super fresh. Island hopping tour was also amazing. Kayaking from the beach was a lot of fun and the yoga session was also brilliant. The only negative I had was that the guide was feeding the fish on the island hopping tour, this is something the staff should be trained not to do as it is not good for the environment.

We are currently spending 8 nights here and are absolutely thrilled! The location is simply unique: nestled in pure nature, surrounded by soothing sounds, especially when it rains, and the voices of the animals - a paradise for anyone who wants to switch off and relax. However, the best part is the staff: incredibly warm, courteous and always with a smile on their faces. You immediately feel welcome and well looked after - a service that is truly unrivalled. We read some of the negative reviews beforehand but cannot confirm them at all. There was no lack of facilities, comfort or hospitality. The price for an absolutely peaceful, harmonious place in nature is a certain seclusion. You should know this in advance and then appreciate it. Our stay so far has been flawless and absolutely marvellous! If there are faster (ultrasonic ;-) ) flights from Germany in the future, we will certainly become regular guests.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this resort. The food was exceptional and the staff were always keen to make sure we were happy and well looked after. The resort employs 75% of their staff from the local village. Many are learning English and about the hospitality industry. It's worth keeping this in mind when interacting with the staff and to be patient. Having said that, all staff were very friendly and keen to support and help guests wherever possible. No children in this resort as well, so.was great for adults wanting peace and tranquillity and to enjoy the natural surrounds.

I would love to give 5 stars, but I can’t. The place is absolutely stunning – the beach is beautiful and peaceful, and the treehouse villas are gorgeous, spacious, and well-cleaned. The breakfast was excellent. However, the service is not good (the staff, including the waiters, were very kind, always cheerful, and greeted us warmly – thank you for that. However, when looking at the bigger picture, the overall service was poor) First of all, the hotel-arranged taxi and boat transfers are expensive, but we chose them for the convenience. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the agreed meeting point at the airport, there was no one to greet us. After two phone calls and a 30-minute wait, the driver finally arrived, but we realized we could have saved time and money by simply taking a regular taxi from the airport and using the available boats at the pier. The hotel is located in the forest, so we expected bugs. However, we assumed the hotel would provide something like mosquito spray (as has always been the case in similar hotels we’ve stayed at), but none was available – not even for purchase. I was badly bitten by mosquitoes, which is not ideal given the significant risk of dengue fever. The next day, we had to take the hotel’s shared shuttle (about 800 baht) to go buy mosquito repellent from a store. The food at the hotel was expensive, which wouldn’t have been an issue if the quality matched the price, but sadly, they didn’t. On one occasion, we had to wait really long time just to place a drink order, and when the food finally arrived, it was the wrong dish. The next day, the food was partially undercooked. No one apologized or offered any compensation. Even a small gesture, like a complimentary fruit dessert, could have turned a bad experience into a positive one.. :) The seafood terrace restaurant at the neighboring hotel had better food in my opinion, although it was also expensive. If you enjoy having snacks or light meals in the evening, I recommend bringing your own, as the restaurants close at 10 PM, and no food is available until breakfast (and no stores anywhere near) Everything at the hotel is expensive, and there are extra charges at every turn. Yet the service is lacking – for example, the previous day’s trash was still lying on the beach chairs, and no service was available there if you wanted to order a drink. In our room, a light was broken, and we had to request it be fixed six times. To summarize, the location is breathtakingly beautiful, but the hotel seriously needs to improve its service. At this point, I’d say the location and breakfast deserve 5 stars, but everything else 3 stars

We cannot speak highly enough about our time at the Treehouse Villas. Transportation from our previous resort was seamless and we were welcomed so kindly by the resort staff. Nothing compares to the rooms here; stunning views and a unique setup with private pools. The on site restaurants were very fairly priced and food was amazing. Staff here are also incredible and catered to any request or concern with candor and a smile. Jack, who checked us in, took ample time to describe the resort and answer any questions we had. Highly recommend and hopefully have the chance to stay here again in the future!

The transfer from airport to the hotel was smooth, the staff was amazing (very kind, patient, polite and professional), the view can't be described in words, the food was delicious and the villa itself exceeded any expectations.
