It’s a beautiful location—the grounds are stunning, the room was great, and the pools have incredible views.
Unfortunately there are children EVERYWHERE. Too many visiting parents are indifferent to parenting. Weirdly no shade to be found at either pool, despite both being quite large.
Guests were much less kind to staff compared to other resorts (some tourists don’t understand societal rules). The staff was much less skilled with service/language compared to Layana.
The food was fine and the cocktails are stuck in the early 2000s. I’d gladly stay at an adult-only resort with much less amenities.

Beautiful resort with amazing staff and facilities. Our villa was serviced twice a day, great buffet breakfast with a la carte options, many activities included (fitness classes, kayaking, massage classes etc.), multiple restaurants to choose from, beautiful infinity pool, free buggy service within the property - couldn’t fault anything with our stay.
Great value considering the quality of the resort and service provided. Our stay also included airport transfers to / from the resort (about 1.5-2.5hrs each way). Highly recommend spending at least 4 nights here to make the most of the resort and the surrounding island(s).
Everything can be requested / ordered within the Pimalai app (booking buggies, booking fitness classes, asking for extra toiletries etc.) and the staff were always responding immediately.
Really hope to be able to make it back again one day.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pimalai Hotel! The resort’s serene location in the quiet south of the island, adjacent to the Mu Ko Lanta National Park, provided an ideal setting for relaxation.
Our recently renovated room was elegant and comfortable, featuring a beautiful balcony with stunning sea views.
The attentive and genuinely friendly staff elevated our experience. Other highlights included tennis sessions with their skilled trainer, walks through the resort's lush, beautifully maintained grounds on the way to breakfast, stand-up paddleboarding, and enjoying sunset drinks.
Additionally, wonderful restaurants and massage spots can be found along the gorgeous beach, and there's a small village just a short walk or shuttle ride away, offering everything you might need.
Highly recommended for couples seeking a tranquil, luxurious getaway.

The best staff out of any place I have stayed. So attentive and thoughtful. When I’d walked up the stairs and was v hot one breakfast - one of the staff, Nancy, noticed and came up to our table with a lovely cold towel. Then when I’d said I loved a certain Thia curry the waiter made sure that I could have it the following night. This attention to detail is unlike anywhere I have stayed. The rooms are wonderful and the infinity pool was gorgeous. We went off season which was perfect as the hotel and local village were not too crowded. A seamlessly fantastic stay from start to finish. 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing hotel. We’re currently staying in room 401, the rooms clean and spacious & has a feel of luxury. We love the open roof shower (but still very clean and private) and the outside lounge area of our bungalow. Cleaning staff are great and even if you don’t want your room cleaned they leave you fresh towels and linen outside.
The pools and the views are stunning. Breakfast (which we got included) is great, cereals, cheese, meats, fresh eggs however you like them, fresh fruit, pancakes, Thai food! Such a big selection. We’ve also had an evening meal and everything was lovely.
It’s a big village but there’s buggies to take you anywhere you want.
We’re so glad we chose here as there has been some rainy days but we’ve loved it as it has a tropical paradise feel, we lounged on our terrace and they also offer room service for food & drinks and they have a mini bar which is free with drinks and snacks.
What really makes this great is the staff, so friendly, happy and couldn’t do more for you! If they see you walking somewhere they will stop and ask if you want a buggy ride, if they see you walking and it’s raining they will offer you their umbrella, if your on the sun lounger and it starts to rain staff rush to help you with your bags. Everyone also greets you including the cleaning staff & the gardeners.

The most amazing experience of a lifetime! This luxurious hotel has everything you need. From the wonderful service with smiles to the views that almost look like a fake background! A simple jungle walk back to your room on beautiful pathways makes you feel you are on an exotic adventure. Going down to the pool and restaurant area brings you right to the incredible beach. This hotel has so many amazing things to offer. While we were there, they began added more services as well. We cannot wait to go again! Must stay for all!

This resort is the perfect tropical escape, tucked between lush jungle and the ocean – a true hideout for anyone looking to unwind in nature without sacrificing comfort.
The villas are beautifully designed, immaculately clean, and offer a sense of luxury while blending harmoniously with the surrounding environment. The entire resort is aesthetically stunning, with a peaceful jungle vibe that instantly puts you in relaxation mode.
We loved the gorgeous infinity pool, the on-site bars and restaurants, and the ability to borrow kayaks to explore the area. Because the resort is quite expansive, a shuttle service is available throughout the property, taking you comfortably between your villa and the main facilities – a thoughtful and convenient touch.
The breakfast was absolutely outstanding – one of the best we've ever had! Every detail was perfect. We were also touched by the resort's warm hospitality – they surprised us with a birthday cake for my husband's special day, which made our stay even more memorable.
There’s also a shuttle to Laem Haad Beach, which is definitely worth a visit. While the resort itself is a world of its own and incredibly relaxing, it’s worth noting that there’s not much around outside – but honestly, you won’t want to leave anyway.
The only minor downside was the lack of a free shuttle from the pier, but once you arrive, the experience more than makes up for it. We had an amazing time and would return in a heartbeat!
Highly recommended for couples, nature lovers, and anyone seeking a luxurious, peaceful retreat.

Connection with Nature is the most amazing thing about this hotel. Rooms are great in terms of comfort and style. Both restaurants have great food. Staff is extremely friendly. Hotel has a free shuttle to a beautiful beach ( booking required). Spa is wonderful. If you don't like to be close to animals ( bugs, reptiles etc.. ) definitely not for you! I love it and would return next week if I could!

Wow, what a unique place!! Mid-jungle, such a special experience, amazing pools and a wonderful breakfast, and at such a good price! And with lovely service and staff!
We had the family cabin, which was AMAZING and huge, but do note it is quite far from the beach (a few short minutes walk within the hotel), but there are shuttles whenever you ask and the walk in the jungle is actually a delight so I didn’t mind at all.
If I am ever back to Yao Yai, there is no doubt I will come back to this lovely place!

This is our second time staying at this beautiful resort, and I hope it won't be the last. It's located on a lush and peaceful island with round-the-clock boat service to the mainland (about a 5 or 10 minute ride, depending on which dock is used). The villas are luxurious, with fantastic air conditioning and extremely comfortable beds, and we loved having our own private pool. Both of the main restaurants are great, but we primarily enjoyed the one serving Thai cuisine; everything was delicious and presented beautifully. We enjoyed many of the free activities offered by the resort including aqua gym, tennis, foosball, table tennis, darts, pool, water slides, fitness classes, and a walking tour of the island. Even if we hadn't left the island to do things on the mainland, we would have had an amazing vacation! I especially want to give a shout-out to the Coconut Island staff who made our stay truly special. At the beach bar, U-Nut, J-R, and Jack went above and beyond making sure that every member of our family was having a great week. At Kabang Restaurant, Kyle went out of his way to make sure that we got mango sticky rice on our final night. Every one of the servers, activities personnel, and reception staff greeted us with smiles and were happy to help with anything we needed. The setting of this resort is beautiful, but the people are what made staying here so magical.

You have a luxury arrival desk at the pier which take you over to the island. We arrived at night and were greeted with kind helpful staff. The arrival is magical!! ✨
We were treated with a free upgrade which was great!🙌
And they also added a child’s bedding our room which we did not even ask for. Attention to detail 👌

Lots of activities on offer, the beach is clean and the water is calm and blue. 🏖️

Such a beautiful stay on Coconut Island for our last stop on our honeymoon! The room suite was luxurious, spacious and clean. There were a few bugs coming in to the room, but what can you expect in a subtropical environment. The staff were all very welcoming, helpful and attentive. A nice variety of food and drinks were offered at the restaurants which faced out to the beautiful bay. There were also a lot of entertainment shows happening each night which was unexpected!
Would definitely recommend getting the all inclusive package because not much is nearby without having to get a taxi from the pier. Overall, such a beautiful stay!

Can’t recommend this place enough. Got the suite and it was beautiful and clean. The views are amazing. The beach and the pools are clean. The restaurants had some of the tastiest food I’ve had with reasonable pricing. The staff are friendly and hospitable and are always willing to help out and are honestly one of the highlights of the stay. The boat transfer to and fro the resort was comfy, punctual, and the staff were always willing to accommodate last minute changes in timing. Already considering coming back for another stay.

Santhiya Koh Yao Yai is truly breathtaking. The entire resort is beautifully crafted out of wood, giving it an authentic and luxurious feel.
Our room had a stunning view of both the ocean and the surrounding mountains — absolutely unforgettable. The villa was spacious, elegantly designed, and incredibly comfortable.
The staff were exceptional — attentive, warm, and always ready to make our stay perfect. The food was delicious, with a fantastic breakfast spread and great dining options. I ended up leaving on the second day, even though I had already paid in full for a non-refundable 6-day stay. If there had been any other option, I would have left the very first day, but the limited boat transfer schedule made it impossible! Absolutely terrible experience! The room was full of insects and ants, and I even found spiders in the bed. The sheets were dirty, and the buffet food had ants crawling on it. The service was awful—this hotel is nowhere near 5-star quality. If you’re planning a relaxing getaway, avoid this place at all costs. It’s overpriced, and the management is unhelpful and indifferent to complaints. There’s nothing to do nearby, so you’re forced into their overpriced services—even basic things like ice come with extra charges. The excuse of having trees and nature around does not justify poor hygiene and lack of cleanliness. The furniture is outdated, and the floors are cracked and need urgent repair. Truly a terrible experience!

Santhiya Koh Yao Yai is an absolute gem; peaceful, beautiful, and incredibly welcoming. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel right at home with their warm smiles and thoughtful service. The traditional Thai-style villas are stunning, with breathtaking ocean views and serene surroundings. Every detail, from the decor to the cleanliness, was perfect.
The hospitality here is truly exceptional; staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a wide variety of fresh options and attentive service.
Customer service was consistently excellent throughout our stay. It’s clear that the staff genuinely care about guest experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back to this beautiful island retreat.

I would highly recommend this resort and island. It’s a traditional Thai style resort - every building has hand carved wooden panelling and is incredibly decorated. So much attention to detail. The pools are incredible - an infinity pool with views over the ocean. Sunsets are spectacular. We also visited in July, meant to be rainy season but we had so many brilliant sunny days. Very good value.
The staff were also incredible - so helpful and attentive. Ellis who helped us check in and accompanied us on the speed boat was brilliant. Shared snacks - an all round legend.
Only thing I would say is the additional services and activities were a bit pricey - much pricier than the same thing in town. E.g don’t get your laundry done by the resort. You can get 1kg of clothes dry cleaned for 90 baht in town. Hiring the side car in town is also half the price.

Very good stay. Rooms were clean. Despite so much greenery, we were surprised there were almost no mosquitoes. Gym equipment looks a bit rusty but functional. Breakfast spread could be better for vegetarians- not much choice.

Great stay at the Centara Resort on Koh Chang island. Sunsets here are amazing.
The Centara is located about 250 meters off of the main road.....a good thing. This keeps most noise generated by the main road , at a minimum.
Check-in was seamless and easy. The front desk was welcoming and friendly..
Centara is set in a very tropical setting. Palms, orchids , and plumeria are all landscaped into a beautiful park like setting with small fish -populated canals running throughout the grounds.
The rooms, { I rented 3 different cabana types) were all comfortable but in need of some updating and refreshing . The AC, TV, and WiFi all worked well. Showers were great, too.
●●● BE aware...mosquitos can be an issue at all of the resorts on Koh Chang. Centara is no exception. ●●●
Breakfast was decent, and all breskfast staff was super friendly and helpful. . There were both Asian and Western breakfast foods available.
The pool was great. There are 2 pools on site, I only used the pool close to the beach.
There were plenty of sunbeds available.
The beach is just steps from the pool . Easy beach access at several points from the pool area. ●● Be aware that sandflies can be a real nuisance close to the beach on Koh Chang ●●
The atmosphere at Centara is a relaxed and chilled out vibe. Sunset gawking at its best here!

Do not stay here!! Worst service ever and definitely waste of money.
Location is okay but the private beach is not beautiful as in the advertisement.
The hotel is huge and we got the Premium Deluxe Cabana room which is pretty expensive but the room is very far from lobby or the parking. There is no transportation service either. You have to walk under the sun for 10 min. From the parking lot. There are not enough lights in the night and can’t see the side walk. You have to be extra careful not to slip or step in the paddle in rainy season.
Breakfasts tastes okay but not delicious and staffs likes to take dishes away even if you are still eating. I left the silverware as showing that I’m still eating but when I come back from getting some drinks then my dishes are gone and seat other customers. I had to get back in the long line again to get the meals again.
The worst part is the room and service. The room is big and bed is comfortable but AC is way too cold and cannot adjust the temp. with analog dial remote control. The door to the bathroom cannot be shut. It’s old and looks like they never maintain.
We are very shocked how they left the room after the cleaning. Glass and coffee cups are not changed or cleaned. They don’t clean the bathtub and floors. Bathrobe and towels as left on the floor as is. I called the front desk to get a new cups but they never answer the phone. Had to call 4 times.
You can stay more comfortable and get better services with less than quarter price in other hotels. Once again, do not expect what you pay for at this hotel. Absolutely never come back here again.

Superior and Deluxe rooms are VERY far away (300m) from the beach in the back of the hotel. The place is not family-friendly displaying LGBTQI flags aggressively on the main entrance. Will have been my last stay here – better value-for-money and no political indoctrination in many places nearby

Magnificent! We were so happy to discover this gem! All the staff were so friendly and professional and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. And it is clear that the manager is very involved and takes alot of care and pride. We stayed for 7 nights and sampled quite alot of the menu, and everything was perfectly cooked. Also the main restaurant was very fairly priced. Tge rooms were very well kept, and eventhough the villas are close together, there is excellent privacy with heavily tinted windows. The bay is beautiful and calm, with a nice long shallow shelf for snorkeling/swimming at high tide and an interesting place to explore at low tide. Thanks for a very memorable week in Paradise!

During our stay, I had unfortunately experienced an accident prior to arrival, which made it difficult for me to walk. Naturally, I hoped for a bit more attentiveness in service for guests with limited mobility. To be fair, the operational staff at the restaurant were attentive and welcoming. However, I noticed that the higher-level staff did not extend the same level of care or greeting, which created a sense of unequal treatment. Even if additional assistance could not be provided, the service standard should still be consistent and inclusive for all guests. I truly hope this can be improved, as it would greatly enhance the overall experience.

We stayed here for 8 nights in August. Our stay at Paradise KohYao exceeded our expectations. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Our room was upgraded to include a plunge pool, the room itself was spacious and the garden/sea views were stunning. We really enjoyed the food and drink options (recommend the mango sticky rice!). The resort itself is tucked away in its own bay which was what appealed to us. There are plenty of activities to do at the resort (kayak, paddle boarding, badminton, volleyball etc) however it’s also the most ideal place to relax and unwind. The resort included small touches such as the welcome drink on arrival, turn down service at night and live entertainment which impressed us. We also got engaged during our stay at Paradise KohYao so this place will always be memorable to us.

Absolutely great place to travel if you are coeliac/gluten free. The resort restaurant was very accommodating and were able to adjust most dishes for gluten free. Felt very safe eating there.
The resort itself is absolutely gorgeous and very helpful/friendly staff. A perfect romantic getaway, we stayed in the poolside villa and feel it was very much worth the cost.

We absolutely loved our stay here. All the hotel staff went above and beyond, the food at the restaurants on site was great and everything was extremely well kept and presented. The room itself was beautiful with a stunning view. You are really immersed amongst nature at this resort. The only challenging aspect was accessing the resort via a dirt road which got very muddy and slippery after rain, but it is possible to get wharf transfer for an extra cost.

From the very first moment, the reception was nothing short of exceptional — and the farewell was just as heartfelt. The staff’s warm smiles, accommodating nature, and genuine joy in serving guests made us feel more like visiting family than customers.
The personal touch was evident everywhere, from the family-style lounge area with billiards and games to the pools designed for both families and adults seeking tranquility. Breakfast was outstanding, offering a wide variety of fresh and delicious options. The dining selection overall was impressive, with plenty to choose from — including a charming little café perfect for a relaxed afternoon. And yes, we even met a cute gecko behind the restaurant’s fridge, which only added to the character of the place.
There are a couple of areas that could be improved. Recycling facilities would be a welcome addition, and relocating the smoking area to the edge of the property would make the outdoor spaces even more enjoyable for everyone.
All in all, this resort offers a rare combination of heartfelt hospitality, comfort, and atmosphere — the kind of place you’ll remember fondly long after you leave.

By far our favorite hotel during our 3 weeks and 6 hotels here in Thailand. The service is impeccable. It is truly like nothing I’ve ever experienced. They focus on “customer service” here and even have a customer relations team.
The food was great, the views are amazing, the rooms are comfortable, the hospitality is top notch and the island is so quiet and relaxing, but still has great bars and restaurants

Amazing experience at Cape Kudu Hotel & Spa ! The Deluxe room was beautiful and spacious, food was amazing, the swimming pool and the overall hotel has the best sea view. Beautiful resort in a fabulous location. The staff working here were absolutely incredible. We rented a villa for 4 nights which was beautiful and had a nice view. The room was clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was a large gap between the sliding glass doors to the patio, which we discovered was the perfect size for large insects to enter our room which was the only downside. The resort itself has steep roads which make it difficult to walk. However, staff provide very prompt shuttle services to help guests navigate the property.
Pool was clean and very large. This hotel appeared to have lots of families which wasn't as enjoyable for us as a couple, but that's okay. We loved the staff, and found our stay really nice!

The hotel was quite aging but in a good shape and well maintained. Room and facilities are cleaned and massive for me to enjoy just staying in a hotel the whole day. There is no beach and the sea is not for swimming with lots of huge rocks. Staffs here are nice as a typical Thai however they talk loudly, mingle all the times, which is disturbing my peaceful time. So, if asked, I would not come back here coz nothing is worth memorable.

This place was an amazing stay and is quite a gem - if you enjoy nature, it is a unique experience. The place is beautiful, clean and quiet.
I also would like to highlight the kindness and professionalism of the staff, they’re very efficient and lovely. Ms Nok and Mr Bomb at the reception were very helpful and even arranged our transfer to the next hotel and island directly with them, while also booking the tickets for us on the boat. Aeom in the restaurant was also very helpful and kind.
We booked the diving as well with them and Becca was great. My husband was really happy to see a leopard shark.
Overall we would definitely recommend this place and we would go back - but do make your own diligence before going, it is not a resort similar to the other ones around as it is really focused on nature and the beauty of the surroundings.

Great place, quality 5*, very friendly, great service, lovely gardens, great beach, feels like paradise, food is good quality, drinks are good value. Guests are mostly European/Brits couples/families/groups but no young groups - it's a quiet place. Possible downsides - no sunset (but we did have a blood moon rise), pool is in the garden without view of beach (but beach is calm shallow warm great swimming), the beachfront rooms could have a better aspect - but both the village rooms and garden rooms are great. Highly recommended.

After 19 days of getting to know an incredibly thoughtful and personable staff team.
The manager, Ek and Nico and Tik were always available and present throughout our stay spending much time chatting with us.
Wy wife has already mentioned some of te staff by name bt I really needed to mention some staff that warmed my heart with their genuine desire to be helpful.....Aom, Ome, Laila, Naya, Yuy and Golf.
A very special mentor for the trainees that moved on...Mameow, Idea, Earth and Ying...they were an asset to the Zeavola family and I missed them when They went.
I do not normally leave reviews but felt I had to this time as our holiday was made special from every member of staff...
Zeavola really is a magical resort. I can see why families keep returning year after year.

A Resort in Decline – False Promises and a Frustrating Stay
Returning to this hotel, we expected an improved experience based on assurances from management. Instead, we were met with the same old issues—broken promises, poor service, and an overall decline in standards.
The Beach Nightmare
The infamous tractor still rumbles up and down the "private beach" at least 30 times a day, shattering any hope of peace. This has been raised in countless reviews, and yet, despite assurances in 2024 that it would be resolved, it persists. If you’re not dodging diesel fumes, you’re weaving through crowds of guests from neighboring hotels cutting across the beach—often in groups of 50 or more. Security? Almost non-existent. We had to personally alert staff multiple times as non-guests took loungers and hovered near our belongings.
Fire Show Hell
If the tractor doesn't ruin your day, the ear-splitting fire shows from the next hotel will ruin your evening. These occur three to four times a week, just 100 meters away, and are impossible to escape—even from the furthest cabins. Lock yourself in? Doesn’t help. And again, we were told this was "being addressed." It wasn’t.
A Room So Filthy It Needed a Deep Clean
As if the rest of the experience wasn’t bad enough, our room was so dirty upon arrival that it required a full deep clean before it was even remotely acceptable. How this level of neglect is possible at a so-called luxury resort is beyond us.
Mosquito Spraying – But What Are They Spraying?
Daily pesticide fogging happens with little to no warning, and no transparency about what chemicals are being used. Given the relentless mosquito presence, whatever they’re using is clearly ineffective.
The Pool of Neglect
Walking barefoot around the pool? Risk second-degree burns. The deck is scalding hot, with broken elephants, shoddy workmanship, and poorly maintained—issues raised in 2024 with zero improvement. Once again, we were misled by the hotel’s empty reassurances.
A Stay That Feels Like Work
What should have been a relaxing escape turned into a two-week exercise in pointing out hygiene concerns in the restaurant, overworked staff on 12-hour shifts, and the resort's general decline. Anything beyond a short stay, and you’ll start noticing the cracks—literally and figuratively.
Bottom line? This hotel excels at one thing: telling guests what they want to hear to secure bookings. Shame on them.

The staff had made up our room with lots of little attentive gifts and every evening there was another mini-surprise...We had the best time! The setting was picturesque, the villa was so cute and the restaurant offered delicious food, both for bear fast and dinner. We organised a day trip on a private boat to Maya Bay, which definitely was memorable. It was a stay and an experience we won't quickly forget.

An unforgettable experience from the very first moment. My fiancé and I stayed here for two nights and we couldn’t have been happier. Found this resort with a beautiful villa steps away from the beach. It was a beautiful resort, quietly tucked away from the town. The staff were absolutely amazing and attentive to every need. Franke was superb and provided wonderful recommendations. The front desk was polite and Layla was an amazing host. The spa was fantastic. We will definitely return to Thailand and to this resort in the future!

I always feel great coming back here—it truly feels like a second home. Even though I usually stay only a few nights, it’s enough to recharge my energy. Last time we stay at Beach Villa which was beautifully decorated, luxurious, and most importantly, very comfortable for a relaxing stay. You can fully enjoy all the facilities inside and around the villa without even needing to go anywhere else. This time we stay at Deluxe Pavilion which was very comfortable too and not far from beach. You can enjoy garden view and nature with fresh air.
The staff take excellent care of all customer, making the whole experience even more special.
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Koh Lanta, I highly recommend not missing out on this gem.

Just enjoyed the most amazing two night stay in a beautiful secluded resort with private beach and spectacular backdrop. The treehouse villas really have a WOW factor and the limited number of guests on the premises really make it feel very exclusive and VIP. I particularly appreciated the convenience of the app which meant I could order room or beach service any time without getting up from my seat. Staff are extremely attentive and welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them. I would particularly like to express my gratitude to Mr Boy for his service and always remembering what I would like to order.
The pricing was reasonable too which means I will definitely return soon, but for longer next time. See you and thanks to all staff for such a memorable experience at your beautiful resort.

These rooms are absolutely beautiful! The facilities are great and the service is so friendly. All the food was delicious (including the Italian spot!) and the cocktails are amazing. The excursions we did were top notch.
The only con is the location, but that depends on what you’re looking for! It is far removed from anything else, so don’t expect to go to town a lot and the road is inaccessible, you can only get there through the hotels van.

Transfer to Saii via high speed boat:
To start off, the transfer to Phi Phi island was good. Before your departure, they provide anti motion sickness pills. If you follow instructions, you won’t get sick. We departed on time. The ride wasn’t smooth, but it was bearable, but nobody has control over that. We arrived at low tide and had to walk like 500ft to dry land.
Check in:
The check in was very smooth and easy. We just basically gave them our passports and we sat down and they gave us a non alcoholic drink and a mint cool towel to freshen up. Then they verified everything and got us on a buggy cart and drove us to our room with our luggage.

The stay was very comfortable and workers were very nice and welcoming. We booked a few activities and all of them were very good.

Buffet breakfast:
Lots of food to pick from . The food was a 8/10 most of the food was fresh and hot. Make sure you go early. I wish they had stronger coffee because the coffee wasn’t doing much with my migraines. The staff were nice at the buffet restaurant.
Checking out:
Checking out was a breeze. They have you look through your itemized receipt of your added purchases and for you to sign it off. Then once you pay for it, they get you on the boat ride back.
Departure:
The boat ride back was so choppy. If I did it again, I would extend our trip, if a monsoon storm happens again.
Overall:
It was a great trip and will come back again. This was the best trip I’ve done. Very unforgettable!

This place is absolutely paradise, I would almost say no other comments are necessary as it speaks for itself. I booked the hillside pool villa and it was even better than I imagined from the pictures. Great amenities and tons of options for food, drink, activities, not to mention the Chaba shop that has important travel items as well as great gifts. The phone application they instruct you to install is easy to use and serves as the primary information hub for the resort, it is used to make dinner reservations with the 3 restaurants as well as golf cart pickup requests and anything else you would need to know about their offerings. I did an excursion to bamboo island for snorkeling and would highly recommend that as well, it was my first time doing something like that and extremely easy to do as a beginner. Lastly, the service to and from the airport was seamless and went without incident, once you are picked up from the airport and arrive at marina they have a nice lounge with complimentary drinks and snacks and will give you the preliminary information associated with the app and subsequent boat to island. I would highly recommend visiting to others!

The first and most important thing for us was the location – the bay is breathtaking, with stunning mountain views and palm trees all around! The hotel is beautifully integrated into nature, with lush green surroundings. It really allows you to switch off your mind and truly relax!

I liked the hotel — I stayed here for 5 days in the summer, and I can say that it met my expectations. Compared to the hotel I stayed at in Bangkok, this one was much better. Everything was clean and tidy, and the staff politely answered the questions my family and I had. The breakfast was decent, and I felt full after eating. The beach, sea, and pool were all clean, and we were able to take beautiful photos. I especially want to highlight the massage — I think everyone should try it at least once. I had a 1.5-hour Thai massage, and for me, it was much better than the massages I’ve had in Europe. In my opinion, it was worth the money, and I was very satisfied

We stayed here for 6 nights for our honeymoon, and it was really wonderful.
Everyone at the hotel was so welcoming, helpful and made our stay lovely.
The location of the hotel is secluded and beautiful, access to a super sandy and clean beach (we saw the staff cleaning the beach every morning), and it's the perfect secluded spot for watching the sunset.
The facilities are great, we had a villa with a private pool, and there was also a shared pool in the middle of the hotel. The restaurant had a great view towards the ocean. really great range of foods and drinks available at breakfast.
Superb and romantic stay, and would love to return in the future!

We stayed here for 2 days as part of our honeymoon, and were blown away by how beautiful the place was. And the service from JoJo, Nonee, and AD in the restaurant was first class. Also helped by the fact the food was top notch. Lovely staff, and a good laugh to go with it. So friendly, and cannot do enough for you. We will 100% return, absolutely stunning. The views are to die for. The rooms are impeccable. We were recommended to stay here, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Simply amazing.

We have just returned from a 10 night stay and the whole experience was excellent.
Our accommodation was amazing (beach front villa) and exceeded expectations.
We ate at the restaurant most days (either breakfast and/or dinner) and the food was always very good and fresh with plenty of options.
The service at the hotel (from the staff in the restaurant to the ladies in the spa and the team at Reception) was outstanding. They made every effort to accommodate any requirements we had and couldn’t do enough to make our stay relaxing and memorable. Literally too many delightful people to name check but Andy the concierge and San in the restaurant were amazing.
Highly recommended if you are looking for a relaxing break in a fantastic location in Thailand.

I had a few issues with my room, and they were extremely quick to move me to another one — they even offered me a massage as a gesture.
The food was delicious, with great gluten-free options — and they were always happy to adjust something on the menu whenever needed.

From the moment we stepped off the pier we were greeted by Oh who drove us to the hotel on the back of his tractor which was such fun and started off the most incredible 3 day vacation of our time in Thailand. We were greeted by such friendly and hospitable staff in a beautiful reception area and then transported by golf cart all the way to the sunset pool room. Wow! What an exquisite room with a gorgeous view. The room was comfortable, clean, spacious and a few steps away from the Sunset bar and infinity pool. The various pools at the resort are all a must to see and swim. We loved the food, drinks and the location is perfect! Removed from the chaos of Ton Sai but close enough to get there if you want to experience it. We highly recommend!

We went there during rain season and were very lucky with the weather. It was very quiet and just a handful of people staying at the resort. The staff was very friendly, especially Sun, Lemon and O (Mario) were always helping with good tips and advice. We had an amazing vacation and were able to relax. The beach is perfect there and going to snorkel at the resorts beach offers a broad variation of corals and different fish.

Set in a remote corner of Phi Phi, this resort is a remarkable feat of construction and location. The jungle-fringed grounds are vast and atmospheric, with frogs serenading the paths by night and even the occasional python sighting to spice up your stroll. The beach is idyllic—peaceful, coral-rich, and home to the best snorkeling we encountered in southern Thailand. The infinity pool is beautifully positioned, just steps from the sea, and we spent two blissful days drifting between saltwater and poolside. The breakfast buffet has range and charm, and overall, the place exudes laid-back island life.
But it also feels, at times, like a budget hotel in disguise. Details are missed: mugs and kettles in the rooms, but no coffee sachets; bins left to overflow; poolside towels requiring a cross-campus trek and vanishing by morning. The astroturf around the infinity pool is worn and joyless, and the early towel return time is baffling. The breakfast area becomes gridlocked thanks to an underwhelming coffee setup—few machines, endless queues, and no real urgency to fix it. Room features like stiff curtains add to a sense that the place could be vastly improved by someone simply walking around each day with a critical eye and a checklist.
A stunning location that delivers on beauty and tranquility—but the experience could be transformed with better care, oversight, and coffee.

Context. We are in our 50s. A couple. We stayed a few days in one of the sunset villas with private pool. Mid March 2025. Wow! No complaints at all. We looked at other reviews and had a few concerns before arriving but, no, we have nothing but positive things to say about our stay here. It is a walk and a climb of a few flights of well maintained steps to the villa but we had no problem with that. We didn’t ring for golf carts and complain about the wait. We walked through the pleasant gardens and made our own way. The breakfast (included) in terms of quality and variety is exceptional. We have travelled a lot and stayed in many hotels and a breakfast choice like this is very hard to find. The rooms are clean and well maintained and turned down daily, without fail. There are bars, pools and restaurant options in the complex with shops for drinks, snacks and souvenirs but there are also other external restaurant options, close by.
The hotel organized all of our transport including long tail boats to Tonsai and bamboo island. Very professional and, again, no issues.
We simply do not have a bad word to say about Phi Phi Holiday Resort. For a relatively short stay, it was impeccable, hence our rating of 5.

Overall- the experience was amazing. This resort is away from the hustle of the mainland and is very quiet. It’s perfect for people who want to connect with nature, swim peacefully in the private beach, snorkel and soak in the peace of the surrounding areas.
We stayed for 4 days at the resort and it was lovely. We took the pool villa- the view was great and barring some old wear and tear room (walls pealing off due to humidity and slight cracks in the mirror), the room was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and spacious, beach bag was provided which was considerate and the bed was comfortable.
The cons / areas of improvement need to be considered since you are paying a fair bit for the experience-
The breakfast options were limited and remained the same for the entire duration. It got boring and the food was average for the price. The sausages were kept in boiling water and not grilled / shallow fried. The quality of the sausages weren’t great either especially considering the small restaurant next door served amazing grilled sausages. We ate at the hotel a few times but found it very underwhelming. The drinks / cocktails were average as well for the price.
Also- the resort does not provide shuttle services to Tonsai Pier (which is the mainland in Phi Phi where Ferry will stop and has lots of good options for food). You need to take a speed boat or long tail boat which is expensive. You pay 1000-1200 Bhat for a 30 min ride one way. The resort only had one option for shuttle which left at 7;45 am and left at 3:45 pm from tonsai which doesn’t make sense.
The good -
The staff was great and did their best to make our stay comfortable. Shout out to Sung/Song (so sorry for misspelling the name) who always greeted us with a smile and genuinely enquired about our day. We did the island tour from the hotel and got a good deal. We paid 2800 Bhat for the 4 island private tour which we felt was a steal. Overall, we had a good time, the beach was great with little to no people around (June 2025), and would come back again.

We had a private room with private bath and pool overlooking the water. It was truly magical and private.
My wife had broken her leg and was on crutches. As soon as we arrived they had a wheelchair on hand of which they lent us for the entirety of our stay. They have an elevator to access all of the private suites/room. (this was great since nowhere else in Koh Chang that we have visited offered this service or had elevators). The beach and main pool was stunning although we ordered room service and stayed mostly in our private pool as it was amazing !
Breakfast had everything you could want, coffee was good, food tasty. They had a free shuttles to 7 eleven if needed at certain hours.
For the price it was 100% worth it and would come back in a heart beat next time we are in Koh Chang.
Only thing ** We found the prices of the food a little expensive for Thailand BUT any hotel of this caliber will have those prices and we still got food and every dish was amazing.

Our stay at Santhiya Tree Koh Chang was unforgettable. The private pool in our villa felt like pure luxury – peaceful, clear, and perfect for a morning dip or evening unwind. The beach was stunning too, with soft sand and calm waves, and the sunsets from the beachfront restaurant were absolutely magical.
But what truly made the experience stand out was the service. Every single staff member we met was kind, smiling, and genuinely helpful. When our TV wasn’t working, it took less than ten minutes for an IT technician to arrive – and he actually installed a brand-new smart TV with Apple Play and screen mirroring. That level of care really impressed us.
If you’re looking for a serene escape with top-tier hospitality, this place is a gem.

This is such a beautiful resort! And the private beach is one of the most beautiful beaches on the island.
We stayed in an ocean view, private pool room and it was amazing! The pool and the rest of the amenities were 10/10. The food at breakfast and at the restaurants was delicious and had many vegetarian options. Overall a great stay and we will definitely be back again!

The Santhiya is a really lovely hotel. The staff are plentiful and ultra polite and helpful. Our room (hideaway villa) was really comfortable, with a lovely pool and patio area. The bathroom is also very nice with a lovely, high pressure and hot outdoor shower. I loved the shower! The bed and pillows are comfortable and the aircon works superbly. The only slight negative is that the hotel is just outside the nearest village. Ideal for getting away from it all, but you do want to visit the village for food and drinks, and as the previous boardwalk collapsed some time ago, you have to clamber over rocks to get to the next beach. Not a huge issue but could be relatively easily fixed. I would definitely stay here again, it has been a wonderful holiday

A magical and unique experience in Koh Phangan!
This hotel is truly special and unlike any other, located in a magical part of Koh Phangan.
At first, I was hesitant to book because the rooms are made almost entirely of wood — and that often means musty smells. But I was pleasantly surprised to find a beautifully designed room, with every corner thoughtfully crafted. And the best part? The room smelled amazing — like fresh lemongrass! The staff even comes in to light a lemongrass-scented oil that fills the space with the most relaxing and refreshing aroma.
The staff is the sweetest — every single person was kind, helpful, and genuinely caring. I honestly can’t say a single bad word.
The hotel itself is huge — it’s a joy to get “lost” among the tropical jungle paths, discovering pools, a lagoon, gym, lush greenery, and the hotel’s own thriving ecosystem.
And if you’re feeling lazy (no judgment!), they’ve got a 24/7 shuttle service that picks you up in minutes.
Just a 15-minute beach walk away is a charming little village — don’t miss it! We had the best massage in all of Thailand there (and we tried a lot), plus amazing food, cooking classes, nail salons, fun bars, and a convenient 7/11.
The only thing I didn’t love was the breakfast — quite basic and not very inviting. If I had the choice, I’d book without it.

The hotel is quite far from the center of Koh Phangan; a taxi from the pier costs 1500 Baht. There is also a service to reach the hotel via a speedboat from Koh Samui at a good price, which takes you directly to the hotel without having to go through the pier and take an expensive taxi need to book with the hotel directly.
We arrived at the hotel, and the check-in time was 3 PM, but we only received our room at 4 PM after waiting a whole hour for the check-in process.
The hotel itself is very authentic; if you are looking for a modern hotel, this is not the place. The hotel features large villas with pools, there is a central pool, and a private beach. The downside is that the sand is rocky, so you need shoes to enter the water.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed a lovely evening with a music performance and a good meal. The food at the pool is also decent and reasonably priced. However, the breakfast was not to my taste; there were almost no cheeses and the food was primarily Asian-based, which may not suit European preferences.
There is a very nice village with excellent restaurants just 5 minutes from the hotel, with affordable massages and everything you need at very low prices. I highly recommend visiting there, but the hotel charges nearly 1000 Baht for a round-trip taxi ride.
The hotel has stunning views, and the location is very beautiful. There are a lot of mosquitoes, so it’s essential to bring mosquito repellent.
For those who love a traditional Thai-style hotel, I highly recommend Santhyia Hotel.

This was the dreamiest place to stay during our honeymoon! We LOVED this resort. We got a room with our own little pool and bathtub on the patio. The pool was chilly and refreshing, the bathtub was amazing for a private soak. The design of the room was beautiful and traditional- it made us feel like we were in White Lotus! Little trucks are always available to drive you all over the property, which came in handy since we always wanted to go to the two AMAZING pools. The pools were so peaceful and felt like mermaid lagoons. Plenty of lounge chairs and space. Once the sun would leave the lower pool, we would go up to the higher pool for at least another hour of sun. The breakfast was included and delicious! The best part of this resort was that there is a secret little path that is very walkable- it takes you to the local beach town where you can get massages, sample local restaurants, eat banana ice cream, or just enjoy the sandy beach!
