Staying at Heritage Le Telfair was an exceptional experience from start to finish. What truly sets this resort apart is the incredibly friendly and attentive service; every staff member we interacted with was genuinely eager to help, making us feel welcomed and well-cared for throughout our stay. The resort grounds are expansive and beautifully maintained with lush greenery and winding walking paths. Because of the clever layout, even when the resort is fully booked, you never feel crowded. There is always plenty of space to find a quiet, private spot to relax and enjoy the serene environment. The dining options were a highlight as well, with a great variety of nice restaurants to choose from. Between the high-quality food, the impressive range of on-site activities, and the stunning location in one of the most beautiful parts of Mauritius, it is the perfect getaway for anyone looking for both relaxation and engagement. Highly recommended!

A very beautiful welcome by Melvin who was always there for us and i also liked the fact that we could also communicate with him even if he is off. What an excellent service by Spicy who made Mauritius very Spicy for us. 🤣🤣🤣A beautiful lovely friendly ever smiling soul who was always there for us, always asking if we are really ok.She really made our stay memorable and we will never forget Mauritius. We really had fun as friends. I will strongly recommend anyone to come stay in this resort. I will definitely bring my family.

This was our second stay at Heritage Le Telfair over Christmas and New Year, and once again it was something very special. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by our Resident Host Melvin, who took exceptional care of us throughout the entire stay. He even surprised us with a massage voucher and a candlelight dinner. His dedication and availability – even beyond working hours – were truly outstanding. At Palmier we met Spicy, who was always friendly, attentive, and seemed to appear exactly where we were. She genuinely made our stay even more enjoyable. The festive Alive program was diverse and beautifully organized, with special themed evenings and a wonderful atmosphere across the resort. Among the restaurants, Annabella’s impressed us with beautifully arranged outdoor buffets. Palmier was consistently good, although food was occasionally not served hot enough. At Ginja, sushi quality was excellent, though service varied slightly. After sharing feedback with Melvin, the restaurant manager invited us for lunch, which was outstanding and very much appreciated. Château de Bel Ombre was exceptional – food, service, and ambiance were all at the highest level. A special thank you goes to Ze Paul and Solomon in the adults-only beach area. Even when it was busy, they had everything under control. Their friendliness, professionalism, and dedication were remarkable. On their days off, the difference was noticeable – which says a lot about their performance. One unforgettable highlight was a private dinner on the tee box at La Réserve Golf Course. The chefs and the service team, especially Danish and Michael, were world-class and made the evening truly special. We mainly came for golf, and both courses are outstanding. A big compliment also to the Caddymaster at Le Château (name sounded like “Smosh”), who did a fantastic job ensuring a smooth and enjoyable round. One small personal remark: we found the beds slightly firm, but this is of course subjective. Overall, despite a few minor points, Heritage Le Telfair remains a clear recommendation for us. The people, the atmosphere, and the golf experience make this resort truly special. We will return next christmas.

There were a few positive aspects of our stay. The spa massage experience was good, and we also enjoyed the heated pool, which was a nice addition and especially convenient for families. However, overall the experience did not match the expectations created by the very positive Google reviews. I stayed with my one-year-old child and chose the Half Board option. One challenge was that most of the included restaurants operated as à la carte instead of buffet style. In many cases, food preparation took a very long time, which became difficult when traveling with a young child. The restaurant service was one of the most disappointing parts of the stay due to the lack of professionalism from some staff members. Many waiters seemed distracted while taking orders and often gave the impression that they wanted to move guests along rather than provide attentive and professional service. One experience stood out in particular: we were given a 6:30 PM reservation for a buffet dinner. We arrived on time and started serving ourselves, but the chef came and took the plates away from us in front of other guests in an embarrassing and unnecessary manner, explaining that the food was not ready yet and that we were supposed to start with appetizers first. Situations like this made the dining experience feel poorly organized and uncomfortable. Another disappointment was the bed comfort. For a 5-star resort, the bed quality and sleeping experience did not feel at the expected standard. My brother and his family also stayed here and had a similar experience to the point that they were looking forward to leaving the resort because of the overall service and treatment. We have stayed at other resorts at a lower price point and received a noticeably better experience. Mauritius itself is beautiful and matched our expectations — unfortunately this resort did not. I hope management takes guest feedback seriously and works on improving service standards, because the resort has potential to offer a much better experience

What was meant to be a simple family getaway turned into one of the most memorable hotel experiences we’ve ever had. From the very moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine kindness. The entire team was attentive, caring, and always willing to go the extra mile to make our stay exceptional. The culinary experience was simply outstanding. The buffet offered a wonderful variety of delicious dishes, while Ginga restaurant truly stole the show — every meal there was an absolute delight. Having stayed in several hotels over the years, we can confidently say that this was by far our best experience yet. What made it even more special was how family and kid-friendly the hotel is. The children had an incredible time in the Kids corner, filled with fun and excitement, which made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for creating such beautiful memories for our family. We are already looking forward to coming back again very soon.
