Our room was in French area was superb very well appointed, modern and balcony had great view of the pool and beach. Lift worked all the time and as we were on fourth floor this was good news.
Our nearest restaurant was Schooners and was excellent for breakfast, lunch and dinner staff amazing.
The rest of the resort is great with good restaurants and food trucks so you never went hungry,
Staff were very pleasant and helpful, as this is quite a large resort getting lost is easy for the first couple of days.
Playmakers work hard to entertain but it is easy to escape to quiet areas if you wish.
Overall this is one of the best Sandals resorts we have stayed at the only down side being the very long journey from the airport but this is soon forgotten once you arrive.
We will certainly put this on our return to list.

My husband and I had a great time on our honeymoon. We loved everything about the food, rooms, and services that they had to offer. The staff were all very welcoming and incredibly friendly. The entertainment was amazing and the live music and singing was awesome with Francois being the main male vocalist. Other activities such as the water sports had great guides and Francois also led public volleyball games for extra entertainment. We will definitely be returning to Sandals in the future!

A great resort with everything you want contained within. A bit distant from other Jamaica attractions but if you want a quality chill with fine food and great service then this may be the place for you. The resort is very well kept and never feels crowded. Plenty of space, great beach and all sorts of facilities and your own spaces!

What a place. Antigua was amazing, but the people are what set it apart from everywhere else. It's just stunning.
We met a wonderful bartender named Joy. She was so attentive and made us feel at complete ease as soon as she spoke to us.
All the staff were happy to speak with you and offer advice on where they loved and places they loved to visit on the island.
The cleanliness of the rooms and hotel were second to none.

This was my third Sandals resort to visit and I absolutely loved it!
The drive from the airport is only about 15-20 minutes, which is a huge perk.
I stayed in the Mediterranean walkout club level room and really liked it. It was clean and in a great location. I do think the bed and pillows could be more comfortable.
Overall the staff was extremely nice! Other than the occasional not so friendly person, I thought they were really welcoming.
The diving was okay. The dive boat is on site, so that’s nice! And the dive team is really great!
I thought that the food was very good! There are several options for each meal. I didn’t have any problems getting reservations. There are 3 restaurants that require reservations and all of the others do not.
The beach is GORGEOUS! I would definitely come here again!

We just returned from a weeklong stay at the Sandals Antigua Grande and are happy to report that it was one of the best vacations that we ever had. We were lucky enough to have Kai, Karen and Neil as butlers, and have never been so cared for during a trip. We also LOVED Sophia and the Paris Cafe. Don’t sleep on the cafe! It is located in the courtyard section. Overall, everyone was so incredibly friendly and the resort is stunningly maintained. You feel like you are in a tropical paradise. The food was also the best we have had at a resort. Indian night at the buffet was our favorite. We can’t wait to return one day.

We visited this resort in Feb 2025
We generally had excellent weather with the occasional heavy downpour, which only lasted 10mins The overall presentation of the resort was very good but as with Barbados the room décor and furniture is in need of modernisation.
The location of the resort is good but the beach faces North West so if facing the sea the morning sun rises behind you.
Whilst all staff were very friendly and helpful the reservation system for restaurant does not work, with a number of guests left disappointed. If this is the process Sandals are sticking with they need an evening buffet to provide a n alternative option.
The Breakfast locations do not open until 7.30am which is late for early risers and having waited to be seated in the restaurant, only to be told the buffet will be open in a few minutes is completely unacceptable. If it opens at 7.30 everything should be ready for guests on opening.
The quality of food was generally good but as usual the steak house, OK Coral, is the one place that lets these resorts down. Eleanors offered quality food and generally good service but was very difficult to get an evening reservation.
The daytime service at the pool bar and daytime food providers was very good on each occasion visited. This could be improved with the addition of poolside servers.
Cafe-de-Paris provided a good service but would benefit from a greater variety throughout the stay.
Our second stay at a Sandals resort and our opinion remains that they appear to be living off their past reputation of being a high class resort rather than improving its brand.

My wife and I have returned from our third stay at a Sandals resort. This time, Grande Antigua! We had a wonderful week. The resort is indeed "Grande" in both structures and immaculately-kept grounds. The main pool is a stunner with tons of room to spread out and plenty of chairs/umbrellas. We spent more time at the beach, however and it is most excellent: wide with lots of room to spread out, fine light brown sand, gentle waves that are just right, and easy wading to your desired water depth. There are local vendors on this public beach, but they aren't too intrustive. There is drink service to your beach chairs, but it is somewhat hit-or-miss. There are a number of resort food options, and I would rate the quality as "good to very good"; the food quality does not rival great U.S. restaurants, but it is perfectly fine for an all-inclusive resort in the West Indies. The staff throughout the resort was well-trained, organized, and good-natured. Bartenders always worked hard to get drinks out with just a short wait.
Overall we loved SGA and can easily recommend it for a getaway with your sweetie.

We recently stayed at the Sandals Ochi Resort for our honeymoon, and it was fantastic! Whether it was the restaurants, the bars, the room service, or the housekeeping staff the service was fantastic.
Everybody there is incredibly friendly and helpful. They do whatever they can to make sure you have what you need and are taken care of.
Samantha in the concierge lounge was very helpful and attentive. She helped us reschedule and excursion. We had accidentally booked the wrong one, and gave us an amazing tour of the resort on our first day there.
Akeem At the beach club bar was amazing. Very helpful and friendly, making sure everybody had a good time. He was one of the highlights of our trip.

We recently stayed at Sandals Ochi for a wedding and while the resort grounds are absolutely beautiful, our overall experience fell well short of expectations, especially considering the cost.
What wasn’t made clear at booking is that the resort is divided into two entirely separate properties: one by the beach and the other across the street. You can’t walk between them, you have to take a shuttle each time. Since all wedding events were on the beach side, this setup significantly impacted our experience. We requested to switch sides multiple times, told "no" twice, and the third time promised a follow-up that never came. It felt more like we were being dismissed than helped.
Our butlers were kind and helpful, but outside of that, the service was disappointing. Many staff members were short or unfriendly, and nearly every dinner we had featured a limited menu with many items unavailable. Also, for those in our group with dietary restrictions, their options were extremely narrow despite confirming with Sandals they can accommodate.
This was our first butler-level room, and we regret using the upgrade on this particular property. We’ve had great experiences at other Sandals resorts like Negril and Curacao and would recommend those over Ochi, the difference is like night and day! Unfortunately, this stay has made us hesitant to book with Sandals again. For the price, especially at an all-inclusive, we expected more in terms of food availability, communication, service, and overall guest care.

My group of 12 recently returned from an incredible 8-day/7-night stay at the Sandals Ochi Butler Villas, and we're still raving about it! From the moment we arrived, the experience was nothing short of phenomenal, largely thanks to our incredible team of butlers: Sean, Josie, Roberto, and Moria.
Their dedication truly elevated our vacation. With such a large group, organizing meals could have been a logistical nightmare, but our butlers handled it all seamlessly, arranging multiple fantastic dining experiences for us throughout the week. They were genuinely at our beck and call, anticipating our needs and going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and enjoyment.
Whether it was bringing us refreshing drinks by the pool, retrieving forgotten items from our rooms, or chauffeuring us effortlessly across the expansive Sandals properties, they were always there, ready to assist with a smile. Their proactive approach and genuine desire to make our stay perfect allowed us to truly relax and soak in the beauty of Jamaica.
Sean, Josie, Roberto, and Moria didn't just provide excellent service; they created an atmosphere of pure indulgence and relaxation. Their attentiveness and personalized care truly made our vacation memorable and stress-free. My experience at Sandals Ochi was absolutely great! We stayed from March 27 to March 30, and I honestly didn't want to leave.
First off, the customer service was top-notch. Everyone we interacted with—from the lobby staff and butlers to waitresses and housekeeping, hop/shuttle drivers—was amicable and incredibly helpful. The property and rooms were kept meticulously clean.
I loved that each quarter had its own shared pool, so we didn’t always have to trek to the main pool area. Speaking of which, the hillside resort is HUGE! Be prepared to get your steps in; my spouse and I were definitely burning some calories walking from our room to the hop or lobby instead of requesting a ride.
In terms of entertainment, I felt there could have been a bit more variety. The most we experienced was some pool volleyball and a “guess the movie/series/cartoon” game during our stay. They do have a nightly show/concert at the seaside resort, which added some fun, but you have to take the hop to get there.
The food was also fantastic at the restaurants we dined at, including Tapas, Dinos, The Great House Café, Jerk Shack, Southern Table, The Reef Terrace, and Vista Sky. I did find the portions to be a bit smaller compared to other resorts I've visited with buffet options, but that didn't take away from how great the food was. The staff was always attentive, checking in on us throughout our meals, which made us feel well cared for.
Overall, it was an absolute pleasure staying at Sandals Ochi. I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for a wonderful getaway!

This was our first time at a Sandals and we had an amazing time! Our butlers Dwight and Nardia were fantastic! They went above and beyond for any requests we had. I’m a huge mt dew drinker so our butler Dwight went off property to get me some, he also scheduled us tattoos at his artist, this is tradition for us anywhere we go on vacation. Nardia always checked in on us to make sure our stay was going perfectly. Our room was always very clean, the resort is beautiful, food was amazing. We are both gluten free and always had options for us. This resort is separated and you have to take the hop to go between the 2 but it comes very quickly so you don’t wait long. Drinks down by the pools can take longer when it gets busy, they need to add more bartenders there. Also bathrooms by the pools need to be closer. Those were our only complaints. The entertainment was fantastic! If you want a more upbeat resort than this is the one for you. We booked another trip for next year with Sandals already. Thank you for making our 15yr anniversary amazing!

Our honeymoon at Sandals Negril was nothing short of magical—every detail exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed and cared for by the incredible staff.
One of the first gestures that impressed us was when a thoughtful team member handed us his umbrella so we wouldn’t get wet while exploring in the rain. This small act of kindness set the tone for what would become an exceptional experience.
A special mention goes to Jodi-Ann at the gift shop, whose warmth and guidance made a lasting impression. She not only helped us find our way but introduced us to a manager who arranged a specially prepared oxtail dinner by one of the chefs—a surprise that made us feel incredibly valued. To add to the magic, they even set up a romantic candlelight dinner for us, making our evening truly special.
Another standout was Jeffery, the talented photographer who captured beautiful moments of our honeymoon, including our candlelight dinner. His attention to detail ensured that we have memories to cherish forever.

Spend a week with them here at Sandals Negril. Had butler service, which was great. This resort is great if you want to walk 7 mile beach and not party. Very quiet and relaxing resort. The security always has you check in and out with them when leaving the resort, which is great for your protection. Two security members, Andrea and Dave Wiggins, we're funny and always made a point to see how our day was going and talked with us both. Had a lot of laughs with them. The rooms are nice. They are updating some rooms with new furniture. If you get a chance, book building 7. It's amazing. Got a chance to meet the property manager's. They always walk around and talk to guest. Which was nice to see and meet them.

Wow! What an amazing property! Spotless clean,lush landscaping, plenty of lounge chairs and beach towels and nightly entertainment. The property,tho large never felt crowded.The swim up bar pool was the happening spot. We preferred a quieter pool ourselves . What I noticed immediately was how FANTASTIC the staff was!!! Especially the ladies at Perla. So friendly and accommodating. Each and every employee went out of their way to make your visit the best it could be. We are definitely sold on Sandals for our next vacation.
If you go I recommend downloading the Sandals app and finding the location you will be staying at to familiarize yourself with what is offered. There was no info in the rooms or at check in about the restaurants, entertainment,what was included such as the glass bottom boat trip etc. There is an excursion concierge.The culinary concierge was available to make your dinner reservations and show you menus. It would've been nice to have info in the room to look at. We took about 20 minutes of her time which I felt bad doing, but that was the only way we knew what restaurant had what. We just made a reservation for each restaurant each night so we were able to enjoy all the they had to offer.
If I could give this a 10 stars I would. Plenty to do so do it all.

We just returned from a relaxing stay at Sandals Negril in May 2025, and I can confidently say it was our best visit yet!
Having previously stayed in February 2024, I immediately noticed the positive impact of new General Manager Melissa Clark and her team. The resort felt noticeably cleaner, the staff more attentive and genuinely friendly, and even the food had improved across the board. These changes didn’t go unnoticed and truly enhanced our experience.
This resort continues to be the perfect choice for a romantic and stress-free getaway. From breathtaking sunsets to the soft, white sand beach just steps from your room, the location is unbeatable. You’re literally on the beach—it’s hard to find another resort with this kind of proximity to the ocean.
One of the highlights of our stay was the exceptional butler service, which made our vacation feel completely effortless. Huge thanks to our incredible butlers, Felix and Damien, who went above and beyond to make everything perfect. We were treated to breakfast on our patio, daily treats like fresh fruit and champagne, romantic touches like a sunset soak in our tub, and seamless dinner reservations each night.
While no place is truly perfect, this trip came very close. Sandals Negril earns a solid 4.5 stars from us—5 stars for rooms, service, and location. If you're considering a relaxing beachfront escape where you're truly cared for, I highly recommend Sandals Negril (especially with butler service!).

We stayed at Sandals Negril for 7 nights to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary — a trip we had been looking forward to for years. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, and our room exceeded expectations. The butler service was outstanding — attentive, thoughtful, and truly top-tier. In that regard, the resort and staff deserve a 5-star rating.
Unfortunately, our overall experience was devastatingly disappointing due to a severe illness that struck both of us the second day of our stay. We spent the majority of our vacation — nearly 80% of the time — extremely ill and confined to our room, unable to enjoy the amenities, beach, restaurants, or even our anniversary day itself.
We sought care from the on-site doctor and were told lab results would be available within 7–10 days. It has now been nearly four weeks, and we still haven’t received any results, despite following up. Multiple staff members asked us what we had eaten, suggesting the illness may have been related to the food — which is deeply concerning, especially at an all-inclusive resort known for its culinary offerings.
This was the most expensive vacation we’ve ever taken, and it was meant to be a celebration of a major milestone in our lives. Instead, it was overshadowed by a health crisis and a lack of post-care follow-through.
We’re heartbroken that such a beautiful place with such excellent service ended up being the backdrop for such a disappointing and distressing experience. We hope that no other guests have to go through the same.

Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality really elevated our stay.
We stayed in one of the two-story villa suites, which was perfect for a honeymoon. The villa was quiet, private, and beautifully set up—with a spacious layout, stunning ocean views, and our own plunge pool. It felt like our own little retreat within the resort.
Sandals La Toc is a beautiful property with lots to offer, but the personalized service from the butler team truly made it special. It’s a great choice for couples looking for a relaxing and well-cared-for Caribbean escape.

I didn’t know what my expectations were until they weren’t met.
Second time at Sandals in Jamaica. We booked a butler suite to enjoy the full “Sandals” experience.
On our first day our butler sent us on a hunt for food after we arrived (we observed others butlers bring them food from the same locations) and we couldn’t find our butler at dinner or any time after. On the second day we asked to be set up by the pool after lunch and our butler said she would be returning to take our lunch and tell us where we were seated at the pool. She never returned and when we called a few hours later she was gone.
Our second butler was much better and booked us dinner, helped us get drinks, was much more attentive. Our second butler picked a great spot by the pool for us. Truly shined in comparison to our first butler.
We noticed that the entire resort seemed to shut down for a wedding on Sunday night even room service stopped answering the phone when we called at 8:00. No one ever communicated if the hours were different that day than what they originally told us.
Twice we had to ask for our hand towels and face cloths to be replenished as they turned down the room and took our used towels but never replaced them.

We spent 9 days here and it was the most wonderful place we have ever been! The staff was so friendly from top to bottom. We got married there and everything went perfectly! The wedding planning staff, photographers, the pastor, the location, everything was perfect. Our butlers Andre (Jack) and Shana made our stay the best it could be. They anticipated everything we needed and facilitated everything we wanted. The resort is beautiful, our room was exactly as it was supposed to be. Super clean resort, the most exquisite foods, etc. I can not say enough about how great it was. The private island is only reachable from he royal resort, but there are short bus rides to and from Montego Bay resort and royal resort so you can try all the restaurants!!!!! We love Jamaica Maannn

We've visited several Sandals and Beaches resorts, but Royal Caribbean continues to hold a special place in our hearts—it's been our favorite experience by far! The stunning crescent-shaped beach has everything you could want just steps away, from over-the-water hammocks and swings to a private island accessible by a quick boat ride. Our butler Ian was incredible—packing our cooler daily, bringing our favorite snacks, and even drawing our bath. The staff was consistently friendly and attentive; our drinks were always full, and our food was always fresh. Once, after we left our pizza to take a swim, they replaced it with a fresh one as soon as we returned—now that’s exceptional service! We’re already counting down the days until we return this summer!

Was a great trip, Minto is by far a Jerk Chicken Guru so please visit him first things first. All staff checking us in were great, too many names to list. Really enjoyed the island as well, Javier, Deandre Soobrena and Stacey were all great. Would definitely return!! Room was great just make sure u get out in morning early so they can get u each day. Indian food was amazing, French place was solid but wasn’t as good as reviews made it to be, Italian was amazing, cricketers was cool small place. Thai food on island was pretty good as well and great service again on island. Breakfast is great at Bombay, spices was pretty good buffet too. Pools were good and honestly I didn’t really have any complaints about the resort. The guys in the kayaks selling stuff is a bit much sometimes but understand the situation - just a heads up for future guests. Last thing is this resort is AMAZING for live performances, all singers were so pure, I am surprised they are not famous!!🙏🏼 sunset views were beautiful each night, sit by Bombay and you’re set

Once we arrive, the concierge was pleasant and helpful. When we made our dinner reservations (Camille) was very helpful. When they took us to our room, the room was an oceanfront room, but the trees blocked the view of the ocean. Our room was clean but it needs to be refreshed.
Now, the not so good parts of our experience.
Our experience eating at several restaurants was not good. The food (main entree) took an hour to get to our table and the food was just warm. This happened during breakfast and dinner. Then on Thurday night, the water was off - No water until later that evening without warnings.
When you pay for a Sandals Resort experience, you expect the best service.
I felt like you paid for a Great Experience, but you only got a mediocre results. Many people here are saying the same about the experience here. The only reason I came back to experience Sandals because of the Great Experience we had in St. Lucia (Halcyon Beach). The staff, food and service was amazing.

I can't even begin to describe my experience at Sandals Royal and Sandals Barbados. The entire crew at both resorts are absolutely incredible! I have never experienced such amazing service. Every single person we ran into was so accommodating and helpful. No one ever let you stand around wondering where you were going, someone was always there to lead the way and accommodate you every step of the way. The bartenders, waitstaff, concierge staff, photo staff always went out of their way to help and put a smile on your face. Also, every single person was so incredibly friendly! The Piano Bar bartenders and piano player were hands down my favorite people ever! AMAZING SERVICE!! The hotel manager even reached out directly in the Gina app! Love love love this place and will be back! Well done to every single person who works at these resorts!!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL resort. The concierge team was outstanding. Any questions or concerns were addressed immediately. Nakeem in the Piano Bar is a great bartender and a blast to watch him sing and dance. The loyalty team (Adrian is who we worked with) answered all of our questions and helped us book the right resort for our next trip. We decided on Barbados again. Can’t wait to return.

The service was excellent! Everyone was very friendly and helpful.The grounds were beautiful and well cared for. The beach was nice but the ocean was rough. So no water sports. All the bartenders went out of their way to make sure I had my drink, absolute vanilla vodka with tonic water. We had couples massage outside and it was amazing! The only negative for us was getting reservations to the restaurants that required it. Also, kimonos was a big disappointment. Our food was awful. Not sure if it was the chef or what but it’s not what we expected as we have been to Kimonos at other Sandals. All the other restaurants were very good. Loved lunch at Neptune’s. All in all, it was a great vacation!

My wife and I celebrated our honeymoon in Sandals Royals Barbados. We had great service, and enjoyed our walk our pool and the staff was amazing. Christopher a chef at Kimonos was great, cooked very good food and was interactive the whole time. Super happy and enjoyed the night. Oshin was our server at a candlelight dinner server. She was on top of everything, getting our food and stinks quick and efficient. Dwayne and another photographer went over and beyond getting us great photos of our trip. Definitely can’t wait for our next visit.

My husband and I had a wonderful time at Sandals Halcyon Beach. The resort is a beautiful and intimate garden style with stunning tropical flowers throughout. The staff were all very kind and accommodating. The only two issues we faced were the distance from the airport (long and curvy, mountainous drive) and the roaming beach solicitors. Besides these two inconveniences it was a very pleasant stay.

Our honeymoon at Sandals Halcyon Beach was absolutely amazing! The service was beyond exceptional—everyone went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was always spotless, the fridge was fully stocked, and the dinners were delicious every night. We especially loved the convenience of room service and not having to worry about anything with the all-inclusive setup.
We enjoyed a relaxing couples massage, sailed on the Hobie Cats, and even did a catamaran snorkeling excursion that the staff scheduled for us—it was a blast! Every staff member we met was warm, friendly, and genuinely interested in getting to know us. It made the whole experience feel personal and unforgettable. We’re already looking forward to coming back!

My wife and I spent 8 days here in a swim up butler suite. The resort is a nice small and quiet resort making it easy to move around the resort. Our butlers Gibson, Crystal A, and Crystal C. made the trip very relaxing making sure we had a place at the pool or beach anytime we wanted. They also took great care getting us reservations to all our dinners. This is our 3rd time stay at a Sandals and have never been disappointed. We are both certified divers so we enjoy the easy of diving at Sandals resorts. The diving was about. 10-15 minute drive from the resort and about a 30 min to 1 hour boat ride to the dive sites. There was a lot of different sea life we were able to see including turtles, sea horses, and cuttlefish to name a few. The dive boat was always command the dive staff took good care that everyone had an enjoyable experience. I would definitely go back in the future.

My husband and I recently stayed at the halcyon st Lucia for our honeymoon and had very high expectations. Unfortunately they were dramatically not met. Not once did I feel special for being there. The honeymoon package that they offer is pretty pathetic, which when we opened our door for the first time, wasn’t even displayed at all! Took 5 days and 3x of asking for the decorated bed, champagne and breakfast in bed. The first night arriving we lost power for 2.5 hours at night and no one was walking around letting us guests know what was happening. It rained the whole time and didn’t offer much activities to do for rainy days. The staff was not friendly. Panhandling happens for the first 3 days which is annoying. I sprained my ankle waiting in the lobby for a shuttle and nurse staff was not friendly or helpful. The worst vacation I’ve ever been on. Super disappointed for wasting our time and money to spend our honeymoon here.

Only negatives...Our room was small and plain over at the crystal Lagoon.
Staff were friendly but not engaging and many looked sad. My advice to management...send someone over to the Dominican Republic (Punta Cana) to see how staff can be engaging and fun with guests. No sad faces on the workers over there. You'd be amazed! Patrick however one of the managers was very interactive and always seemed happy!

This was our first Sandals visit and was a terribly disappointing experience. Our check-in process was horrible, specifically Kristin did not seem to know what he was doing and directed us wrong on multiple occasions. This started our trip to a bad start. The room was nice and I have no complaints regarding it. All of the bars were covered in flies, including the indoor bars. I had a drink come out with a bug in it and given dirty looks when I asked for a new one. The piano bar was sanded and re-stained during our stay, luckily we saw this happening when we walked through during the day, because at night the bartenders were unaware and multiple people had stains on their nice shirts from the bar. The tables surrounding the bar were also covered in dust from the sanding and it took me cleaning it for them to clean it themselves. ALL of the food was mediocre at best, nothing tasted high quality. Only 9 or 9:30pm reservations were available when we arrived at the resort which was difficult to get to enjoy any of the nighttime entertainment. We got a 9PM reservation for the steakhouse, our table wasn't ready and then they forgot about us when we checked back in and then had a non-waiter wait on us who knew nothing about the menu. We ordered room service for breakfast that never came. All in all a terrible experience and we won't be back. The only redeeming thing about this resort was the Dive shop guides, all wonderful and we had a great experience with them.

This is our seventh trip to sandals and once again, it did not disappoint. The brand is top-tier and is highlighted by its level of hospitality and unique locations.
Our favorite memory is the crystal blue water and ease of ability to move across the smaller resort. We enjoyed several meals at Butches and Gordon’s… breakfast at La Plume is the best! Each room of the resort is intentionally decorated and feels like a higher end resort compared to other brands we have visited in the past.
Among a select other Sandals locations, we would absolutely revisit Royal Bahamian.

We thoroughly loved our experience at this resort. It was beautiful. I felt so relaxed and so happy! We had excellent food, good service, enjoyed engaging with the friendly staff, loved the evening shows by the pool, and we enjoyed the variety of activity you could choose from in reference to the 3 pools. Feedback for improvement would be to add more lounge chairs with the igloo type covers to be available on the beach as well as more wait staff on the beach for all guests not just those with butler service. with that feedback added- our trip was perfect! We loved our guide who taught is how to “sail” -

After reading some of the reviews before our vacation, I was a little nervous due to the multiple complaints about the service, staff, and overall quality of the resort. However, this turned out to be one of the most fantastic resorts my husband and I have ever visited.
Our room was well maintained (sometimes cleaned later in the evening, but we were out most of the day anyway), the fridge was stocked, and everything was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, the beaches and pools were beautiful and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable.
We weren’t able to get reservations at the restaurants that required them, which was a bit disappointing, but there were still plenty of dining options that we enjoyed. It was sometimes challenging to find chairs near the pool or beach that weren’t already reserved for guests with butlers, but we made do and still had a wonderful time enjoying the sand and ocean.
The private island had plenty of space and was a lovely bonus. We also took advantage of the free photo session (photos are $20 each or available in bundles), and we absolutely loved the dolphin encounter and the glass-bottom boat tour—both were incredibly fun!
The resort’s nightlife was a delightful surprise. Each evening offered a variety of entertainment options, from lively beach parties with fire dancers to themed nights featuring live music and performances. We particularly enjoyed the piano bar, where guests could sing along or enjoy karaoke sessions, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere.
Overall, we had a fantastic trip and are already looking forward to visiting another Sandals location in the future.

The front desk staff was exceptional welcoming, efficient, and genuinely eager to make our stay perfect. They answered every question with a smile and ensured our check-in was seamless and stress-free. It was clear that they take pride in delivering world-class service from the very first interaction.
One of the absolute highlights of our trip was spending time at the West Pool, where we were lucky enough to meet the bartender (I wish I remembered their name, they deserve all the praise!). This person was the heart and soul of the pool area crafting the most refreshing drinks, remembering guests’ favorites, and keeping the energy upbeat and friendly all day long. Their mixology skills were matched only by their charisma and attentiveness. It truly felt like we were being served by someone who loved what they do and who genuinely cared about every guest's experience.
The resort itself is stunning immaculate grounds, beautiful beachfront, incredible dining but it’s the people who made it feel like home. Huge thanks to the front desk and the West Pool bartender for making this trip not just a getaway, but a lasting memory. We’ll absolutely be back!

Firstly apologies for taking so long to write a review as we stayed in September 2024, I am sure I wrote one but can not find it, so here goes.
This was not just a holiday for us. We actually got married at the resort, just the two of us for an intimate wedding.
We had a few concerns before arriving as our experience of the Sandals UK call centre was not the greatest. However, these were taken care of before arriving following the intervention of Omar from the hotel, who assured us that it would be perfect for us.
Everything was just amazing. We were looked after by everyone at the hotel and our wedding day was just perfect.
The hotel is beautiful, and the location with its two cosy beaches gave us a sense of being in an Agatha Christie novel, small enough to feel like you are an invited guest to a private resort.
Whilst we ventured out to the other resorts nearby, we were always so glad to return to our hotel where the food and services were so much better.
Our perfect days were a swim in the sea before breakfast. We ate a relaxed breakfast in the outside area overlooking the sea, followed by a on the beach, with drinks being served non-stop at our beds, a bit of paddle boarding, and just chilling.
For us, the peaceful surroundings, no loud music, and well behaved fellow guests made the experience one to remember.
We have just booked to come back again (September 2025) for our 1st anniversary and look forward to seeing Omar and his crew again.

were on top of their game arranging everything from our in town shopping excursion, dinners and spa treatment and whatever else we needed from drinks by the pool to daily in room snacks. Housekeeping was also on top of it as well. The restaurant staff impeccable and remembered what drinks we enjoyed. Our room was as lovely as the view. We were welcomed when we arrived at the front entrance and when we departed they said goodbye and were happy that we enjoyed our stay. Food was good. Old world Ambience and the atmosphere is welcoming. And the staff was top notch. We will return!❤️

We absolutely loved our stay at Royal Plantation. The resort offers a very specialized service with an intimate, relaxed, luxurious feel. Everyone was wonderful and attentive to our every need. We especially loved the spa services from Camille and Marva. Trevardo was such an attentive beach butler. Bebeado was an incredible butler who anticipated our needs, always included something special in the room for us, and would find a special way to make the day special. In addition, the housekeeping staff kept the entire grounds impeccably clean. We were so impressed with all of the staff! Thank you for an incredible vacation! We will be back, for sure!

The absolute best Caribbean vacation ever! Everything was perfection! I’m not even that big on so inclusive resorts but Sandals Plantations is like no other All inclusive. The location is gorgeous! The service is impeccable. The food was delicious. The rooms were tastefully done. Our butlers Jeovan and Andre were super attentive without ever being intrusive. The GM; Omar was amazing. Overall I cannot find a single thing that I didn’t absolutely love! I cannot wait to come back !

This was our first Sandals experience and it didn’t disappoint. We visited two nearby sister properties but didn’t return, for us Royal Plantation was far superior. One of its charms is its size with only 75 rooms, creating a friendly personal environment. The butler service from Richard and Dwainey was just right, attentive without being intrusive. The manager provided great leadership, was visible amongst guests and addressed them all by name. The food was a high standard, although for a 2 week stay a bit more variety on the menus would have been welcome.
The two beaches were immaculate and service was readily available when required.
The only thing that slightly marred the experience was the issue of tipping. It clearly states on promotional material that tips and service charge are included in the price paid. We were therefore surprised on arrival to learn that we could now tip butlers. This does create an expectation on both parties. Our issue was what was a reasonable gratuity without being too low, causing offence, or too excessive. This is maybe a cultural issue but the position is definitely confusing
However we had a super time and would definitely consider returning to Royal Plantation

Our first Sandals experience and first time in Montego Bay. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously.From the moment we arrived everything went smoothly.We had the butler elite suite overlooking the ocean, the room was very clean and comfortable. Our butlers were so gracious and accommodating, they helped make our time spent efficiently. Our special occasion was acknowledged and celebrated. the beach and water was clean and not crowded. The grounds are sprawling and immaculately maintained. The cuisine, music and culture so fantastic, enjoyed every meal especially the Jamaican cuisine. A special thank-you to the management team; Mr. Elliott, Latoya, Kelsey, and the individual (my apologies for missing her name) in the concierge lobby, (5/31 morning) who made the checkout process successful. They were not only visible and accessible throughout the resort, but also genuinely committed to guest satisfaction. When we had a small request it was handled immediately; proof of how seriously they take their commitment to excellence.
The dining options were equally impressive. From the gourmet cuisine at Butch’s Steak & Seafood (Mitch gave us the best dining experience on our last night) to the casual beachside vibe at Mariner Seaside Grill, every meal was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented.
Sandals Montego Bay exceeded our expectations in every way. It’s not just the location or the amenities that make it special—it’s the people who go above and beyond to make every guest feel valued and cared for. We already booked our next visit with the Sandals family and can’t recommend it enough for couples or friends looking for a truly unforgettable getaway.

This place is amazing! There is so much to do; you must hire a butler to help you with all your meals, travel arrangements, excursions, and so forth. They use WhatsApp and you can text them with anything you need including meal orders and restaurant reservations. Choose a private pool so you can have more privacy. Some excursions are kind of sketchy, so do your research. The only annoying thing about going there is the amount of tips you have to give. Everyone wants a tip and you may end up tipping away another vacation. There more excursions you book, the more you tip. The resort needs a little TLC but overall is pretty good. What makes it better is the butler service, food and atmosphere. Some of the restaurants, you must make reservations to be able to join. A great place to go on your honeymoon. Take advantage of the gentleman that takes pictures. He charges a fee but it was worth it.

If you’re dreaming of serenity, peace and quiet on a beach, with great food, you’re at the wrong place.
Our room, which was the 2nd most expensive, had a huge pink blob in the middle of the floor. Feel like taking a nap during the day? Nope. Someone was double construction work on the floor above us with a jackhammer in the middle of the day.
Feel like having a quiet time on the beach? Nope. There were at least 4 different resort people who asked us if we wanted our photos taken, then about 2 more who wanted to pamper us, for a pretty penny of course.
Feel like having a nice steak dinner? Nope. Still chewing on my steak for the past month.
How about a peaceful breakfast? Nope. We, together with the other 20 folk waiting to be served, were caught in a yelling match between the servers and cooks.
Overall, I would go anywhere else. The resort is rundown, it’s a constant battle to avoid the sales pitches all day long, the food was horrible, you will pray you were at an ihop. Customer service is very bad, they will literally ignore you.
Take your hard earned money anywhere else.

We found the resort to be very gay-friendly, so would encourage any members of the LGBTQ+ community to visit.
We had such a wonderful stay and have to give a huge thank you to our Butlers - Latoya, Nadia and Shameka - for making our stay extra special. They sorted all our dinner reservations for us, walked us to the restaurants at night, reserved our favourite spot by the pool, brought us over surprise drinks throughout the day and delivered lunch to our sun loungers. They would often leave little surprises for us to go back to the room to - such as a cheese plate and a drawn bath with champagne on ice.
The resort is huge and the number of food options is incredible - every meal we had was delicious, but I would particular shout out to Bombay (the Indian restaurant) and Chi (the pan-Asian restaurant). The spa was lovely too and we had very relaxing massages and facials.
The rooms were spotless and the layout was great because the bathroom felt private (unlike other hotels we’ve stayed at that can feel too exposed). Our room had a tranquility soak tub on the balcony too, which was the epitome of luxury!
Next time we will pay extra for private transfers because we didn’t like the mini-buses that shuttled people to and from the airport.
The only part I wouldn’t recommend is doing the Rum Historical Tour through “Island Routes” - it was boring and far too much time was spent in the car. We felt like it was a waste of money.
We have already booked to come again next year at their on-site Travel and Loyalty section where you can bag yourself a really good deal!

We went to Royal Barbados for our Honeymoon and we had the most amazing time! It was out first time staying at a Sandals, and they did not disappoint! The staff was incredibly kind and would do everything they could to make sure you had an excellent time! We're definitely going to more Sandal locations, and plan on going back to Royal Sandals for future anniversaries!

very beautiful resort. Our room was oceanfront and was nice and spacious. The food was amazing at all the restaurants Service was a bit slow though. we had a few problems with our stay such as a telephone not working in a toilet not working at first. We spoke to Dexter the manager and he was very helpful taking care of the issue promptly. I highly recommend this resort if you'd like all inclusive stays as the food was phenomenal and the staff are also very kind.

As with all my reviews I compare them against my expectations as set by the price and what the place promises before I arrive. In this case for Sandals they pitch as an ultra all inclusive and pricing is considerably more than an average all inclusive so I expected just that.
This review is pretty lengthy so here's a summary for those that don't have the time. If you have already booked this resort you are still going to have a good time. There are a few niggles and if you have been to other Sandals resorts, i'm not sure this one is quite up to the same quality of the others, but all in all the staff are friendly, the food was mostly great and we still enjoyed it. Many of the niggles I had will not apply to Butler Level guests.
For those with more time here are some of the facts from our experience:
Arrival
As Club Level guests (not Butler), we received a warm group welcome in the lounge. Our room wasn’t ready as we arrived early, but the concierge kindly took us to lunch at the Jerk Shack. We were disappointed by the lack of Sandals Loyalty recognition—no welcome pack, no invitation to the loyalty dinner, and we only learned on the last day that member discounts applied to photos and shop purchases. Be sure to mention your membership upfront when spending ANY money on resort.
Room
Our room in building 11 was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated with a good-sized bathroom. Housekeeping was mostly fine, but sheets weren’t changed for the first 4–5 days until we asked, and replenishment of coffee, towels, etc., was inconsistent. Cleaning seemed to happen late each day. Turndown service was offered just four times in our 12-night stay. Minor issues included a phone mislinked to another room and a bathroom door that wouldn’t stay shut—nothing major but not expected for luxury all inclusive.
Food / Restaurants
Food was generally good. Butch’s, Dino’s Pizza, and Kimono’s were highlights. Portion sizes have shrunk to reduce waste, but you only realise this when meals arrive—sometimes mains were smaller than starters, though staff were happy to offer extras. Restaurant bookings were frustrating; the earliest we could book was nearly a week in, which would be tough on shorter stays.
Service at the British pub was great under one staff member, but it declined once he left, with long waits and missed orders. Staff were friendly throughout, though interactions felt scripted. We waited daily at non-bookable restaurants—often up to an hour—despite empty tables not being cleared in time. It felt like the resort was over capacity for its facilities. On the bright side, Azisa at the doughnut and coffee shop was fantastic—friendly and remembered our orders.
Pools
The pools were clean and well-kept, with attentive staff and decent drinks. Loungers were padded and comfy—but hard to find. On three mornings we couldn’t get a shaded spot, even by 8:10 a.m. Sandals really needs more loungers and umbrellas to match guest numbers. Pool floats were almost nonexistent—just three total—mostly monopolised by swim-up guests.
Poolside drink service was poor until our final days, when a standout staff member, Shermano, provided excellent service at the quiet pool. He was friendly and made a great Bob Marley cocktail—others could take note.
Entertainment
Entertainment was enjoyable with fun daytime activities at the main pool. However, it was repetitive—expect the same shows and games in week two as in week one.
Beach
The beach had soft white sand and plenty of available loungers. Unfortunately, the sea was red-flagged most days. The breakwaters made things worse by trapping seaweed and creating choppy conditions. Swimming wasn’t pleasant, and the water wasn't clear. For a better beach, Carlisle Bay was beautiful and worth a visit.
Overall I felt there were not enough staff / facilities to meet the number of guests at the resort.
I don't think this is a bad resort I just don't think it had the Luxury level that i expected and have had at other Sandals resorts. Frustratingly a lot of this is fixable if Sandals invest just a small amount!

We visited this resort in Feb 2024
We had excellent weather and the overall presentation of the resort was very good however the room décor and furniture is somewhat dated even in the newer Sandals Royal section.
Whilst all staff were very friendly and helpful. The service in restaurants was barely acceptable. We were kept waiting (10mins) at the greeting point on multiple occasions and the lack of even acknowledgment comes across as rude. On a number of occasions there was long periods of no attention either for drinks or clearing tables between courses. The quality of food was hit or miss. We had excellent meals at Portofino, La Parisian, Butch's only for these to be let down by the service level.
Kimonos was just about acceptable on both counts.
The daytime service at the beech bar, Dinos and Mariner along with Neptunes was excellent on each occasion visited.
Spices breakfast was barely acceptable for both quality of food or service. A line of 20 guests at the greeting station is unacceptable for a buffet restaurant. The maître-d should not have to take each guest to their table and keep the remainder of the line waiting. They should pass this duty to other staff. Pastries throughout the resort did not seem like they were fresh that morning.
American Tavern was barely acceptable for quality of food or service. Steaks on two occasions were poor quality cuts and poorly prepared.
Cafe-de-Paris is very poorly staffed and needs attention. It is not acceptable for the server taking the orders to make coffees, provide pastries and make crepes. this is bound to create delays.
All restaurants need more staff. They were rarely full yet getting a reservation or good service was always a problem.
Room service needs to be extended to a least midnight to offer an alternative for guests arriving late or who have had a poor dining experience.
Sandals has a reputation of being a high class resort. It appears to be living off this past reputation rather than improving its brand.

This resort for our honeymoon was great and I would recommend it to others. The staff created a welcoming and exciting environment. We especially enjoyed meeting Peter at the pool bar. The Peter special is to die for and he himself is extremely down to earth and wants to take care of all guests. Peter stood out as he went above and beyond to ensure all guests were taken care of. One complaint would be the restaurants service, specifically the Italian. We waited for our food for over an hour after ordering. The service here could use some work to make this experience more enjoyable. The rooms were cleaned and housekeeping was always great. We really enjoyed our stay and will miss it!

Amazing trip!! My wife and I celebrated our ten year anniversary and it was the most relaxed I’ve been in those 10 years!!! Beautiful spots on the beach, great snorkeling, and Soy and Kimonos were top notch. Our butlers, Bailey, Giselle and Kenwin, made it so easy and wonderful. They were spot on with the restaurant schedule and guiding us from spot to spot. What a beautiful resort!!!

My husband and I came to St. Lucia and stayed at the Grande for our honeymoon last year. We were blown away by the beautiful views and wonderful staff. When we got back home I immediately booked to go back for our one year anniversary trip and St. Lucia did not disappoint!! The resort itself overs a wide variety of food options and multiple bars. It is a perfect place to relax and enjoy time together. The best part about Sandals Grande is the staff. We made friends with one of the best bartenders, Jelani, who we will always remember. He not only took care of us but made us feel like family. Our photographer, Jayda, encouraged us to step out of our comfort zone and she produced gorgeous pictures of us. (Not to mention she was very patient when I almost passed out last year during our photo session.) Other honorable mentions include Denson who was another fantastic bartender, Gania who made us laugh and kept us entertained, and Gina who helped us book our next Sandals vacation. Overall, the resort deserves 5 stars and we will continue to come back!

The views and location of this resort were out of this world! Beautiful beach, mountain views, and plenty of space to sit and relax. The food was tasty, but my favorite was the sushi....I couldn't get enough of it, for sure. If you go, you have to stop by and see Remy at the outside bar by the pool. He'll brighten your day and will make you a delicious drink at the same time.
My only "gripe" would be that I traveled quite a distance and there were some of the staff members that treated me like I was a bother to them. MOST of the staff were great, but there were a few that could use some hospitality training.
Overall, the trip was great and I would consider going back.

Beautiful resort, amazing employees and picture perfect location. Honestly everything about this trip was a 10/10. Beach was gorgeous, water was pristine and the result was well kept and clean. We loved the restaurants, Gordon's, Barefoot by the Sea and Toscanini's in particular. The pool bar, manned by Peter and Francis was top notch, and you've got to try all 3 of Peter's special drinks. He's been there 20+ years and for good reason. He offered outstanding customer service and consistently excellent drinks.
Fav was our server when we ordered pool side service and she was excellent as was the food. The conch fritters and jerk chicken lollipops were worth coming back for.
Housekeeping and overall hospitality were 5 star offerings and were constant reminders that you get what you pay for.
Can't recommend this resort highly enough. It was our second trip and well definitely be making a 3rd.

My little family, which consist of my two boys and myself, just got back from this wonderful place. As soon as we got there, we were greeted by Michael. He was so wonderful to us and took our bags to our room. Every staff member there were just simply the best. The food was amazing and the resort it self was clean and beautiful. Entertainment was exciting and every night we looked forward to seeing something new. Every time my kids walked out of the room on their own, I knew they would be safe. The only thing I would have liked to seen more of, was diversity in music. I get that most of the visitors there are white. But there was a handful of us Latinos and African Americans. I look forward going back to Beaches Negril.

We were treated like royality. The service was amazing! The entire concierge staff along with the beach staff were excellent! I feel like I have gained new sons and daughters...
Things for you to consider for a more comfortable stay:
-More seating in the guest rooms.
-A door at the bathroom entrance.
-Higher chairs on the beach and for lounging.
-Control over the random birds and cats in the dining areas.
-More handicap accessibility.
I have a disability. Walking is a challenge for me. Sitting on low chairs is also an issue.

We was there first week of June 25. The resort is amazing especially when traveling with kids. It is a smaller resort so no waiting for anything. All watersports on property are inclusive and such fun for young and old.the food was good. The rooms are good. The staff 10/10. Everyone was very attentive and always ask what they can help with or if we need anything. The entertainment staff was amazing and gave a great show every day. We loved it so much we booked for next your again.

We recently completed a 12 night stay of Beaches Negril, our second trip to this resort. What brought us back wasn’t just the resort, but the staff. We always feel like we are more than just a customer. The staff are almost always pleasant and more than willing to help out with a reasonable request. We were met almost immediately by Paulette once we arrived to inform us our room was undergoing some maintenance, and would be ready for us the next day. We were looked after and she was able to make it right for us. We spent a good deal of time speaking with Yanike at the welcome home dinner and she was a wealth of information for the Sandals Foundation as well as the kids club. Everyone at the kids club is amazing and made our kids feel like they were with their best friends. Our kids were disappointed when we didn’t take them. From the beach to the pools to the many amazing restaurants (thank you Chef Lemar for taking the time to indulge our questions), the loyalty office, the concierge, I can’t thank everyone enough who made our trip amazing. One tip, make sure you get your weekly schedule when you check in, they have amazing events through the week and you don’t want to miss out. We have already booked for 2027 and can’t wait to come back.

The resort is first class. Food is great and easy to find. Staff are helpful and attentive. Attractions are fun. Resort was being updated while we were here - it appears all well kept. Rooms are a little dated but comfy enough.
The beach is of course the highlight. White sand and crazy blue colored water.

There were 11 of my family members to visit your beautiful resort for our vacation. They all mentioned how it was the most perfect water and they snorkeled every day. All the different food choices was so very nice and looked forward to every meal. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. I had a fabulous massage my first day there. Beaches Resort at Turks and Caicos was truly a vacation at the top of our memories.

Beaches Turks & Caicos was a great family trip. Our grandkids loved all of the amenities & the ability to eat & drink "virgin" drinks from the bar whenever they liked!
The rooms were acceptable, they were clean & comfortable, but they could have used some updating. We stayed in the French village.
The resort was amazing; there was so much to do. The white sand beach & the beautiful clear blue water were fantastic!
The only real negative of this trip was the food. It was below par. The specialty restaurants offerings were better than the buffet, but it was very difficult to get a reservation!
Most of the staff throughout the resort were friendly however you did encounter some that were not.
Overall, our family had a fantastic time at Beaches. We made a lifetime of memories!

The food was consistently delicious, with something to please everyone. The ocean was stunning and the water activities kept all of us entertained for hours. This was my first time visiting Turks and Caicos, and I chose to stay at Beaches because of the wide range of amenities on the resort and, of course, the all-inclusive aspect—which is always a major plus.
When my party and I arrived, the grounds were absolutely beautiful, and the first staff members we encountered were great. However, we did have to wait between 30 to 40 minutes before getting into our room, even though we checked in at 3 PM—the standard check-in time.
Once we got to our room, we immediately noticed a musty smell. It wasn’t pleasant and set the tone for what we observed next. The room clearly needed updates and felt very run-down. We've stayed at places around the world that cost significantly less but were much more modern and better maintained. We were told we’d have queen-size beds, but they were actually full-size. The decor wasn't bad, but for the amount we paid, everything should have been updated. One of the bedposts was broken and noticeably crooked.
There were very few outlets—just two near the beds: one on the side of a bed and one behind the other. This was frustrating, especially since each person in our group paid slightly over $4,000. We stayed in the French Village, and there was no balcony. I spoke with another guest who stayed in the Caribbean Village, and they said their room also badly needed updates.
One of the positive aspects of the resort was the number of dining options. Some of the food was amazing, while other meals were just okay. The inconsistency was noticeable. What really disappointed me was the overall service. About 80% of the staff seemed like they didn’t want to be there—they were unfriendly, and many had attitudes that negatively affected our experience. It really dampened the vacation for me and my party. Honestly, if you don’t enjoy your job, at least try to fake it—especially when guests are spending so much money to be there. On the bright side, the 20% of staff who were friendly and engaging were truly amazing, and I want to thank them for their kindness and professionalism.
A helpful feature of the resort was the golf cart transportation with drivers who could take you around the property. The resort is quite large, and this was very helpful for me and another member of my party who have back issues.
However, there were other inconveniences. For example, we repeatedly had to ask for more toilet paper because they only stocked one roll at a time, which is not enough for a room with four people. Oddly, there was no pen or paper in the room—a first for us. We actually had to go to the check-in lobby to get a pen and a sheet of computer paper so we could jot things down.
There was also no room service unless you stayed in specific upgraded villages with Butler service. In my experience, even lower-priced resorts around the world have offered some form of room service. While our room did have a coffee maker and microwave, there were no utensils—no spoons, forks, or knives—so we had to go elsewhere on the resort to find basic items like stirrers and silverware. There was no guide for the TV and very limited channels, which made downtime in the room less enjoyable.
It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into maintaining the grounds of the resort, but that same attention hasn’t been given to the rooms. For the price, that’s disappointing.
That said, the beach and the water were absolutely amazing, and the pools were great too. Those were the standout highlights of our stay.
In conclusion, while Turks and Caicos itself was beautiful, I can confidently say that if we return, we will not be staying at Beaches again. We’ll be looking for a different resort.
