  • A 3-course a la carte dinner at Kangan or Mystique Restaurant, Bar & Lounge (7pm to 10pm, a supplement applies for items not included in the all-inclusive programme)

While the Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa is a beautiful property with spacious, well-designed suites, our overall experience didn’t live up to expectations for our honeymoon. Check-in set the tone. The front desk attendant asked my wife to sign a form before reading it, and made it unnecessarily complicated when she realized she had mistakenly booked for one guest instead of two, something that shouldn’t have required a manager for resolution. The staff member who escorted us and our luggage also took us to the wrong room on the opposite side of the resort. Service throughout our stay was inconsistent. At breakfast, our coffee orders sometimes arrived only after we had already finished eating. My wife, a Marriott Gold Elite member, had requested late checkout days in advance, but the hotel refused to honor it, claiming the room was booked, even though the resort was only about 80% full. It was disappointing and confusing that her loyalty status wasn’t recognized, and another room couldn’t be arranged. Dining options were another shortfall. Nearly all restaurants shut down between 3 PM and 7 PM, leaving room service as the only option during that window. After 7 PM, choices were limited to room service, the buffet, or an expensive “immersive” dining experience. More consistent à la carte options would have been appreciated. Overall, while the resort’s physical beauty and setting are undeniable, the service and hospitality didn’t meet the standard we’ve come to expect from the Westin brand. When we moved on to the St. Regis Mauritius, the difference in service quality was immediately noticeable.

Beautiful hotel with great customer service. We visited from 31st Aug to 8th Sept. The staff was so welcoming and helpful with our luggage. Concierge assisted us in planning a few trips while we were out there. We enjoyed relaxing at the hotel and beach and went out to snorkel a few times which was included in our package. The food was great with some options to al carte restaurants on prem as well. They were kind enough to give us a room upgrade and we had a king and queen size beds in our room which were fantastic. My only comment would be the beach side of the restaurant could do with a fresh coat of paint just to give it a fresh look.

We recently stayed at the Westin Turtle Bay and had a mixed experience. The room itself was lovely—spacious, clean, and well-appointed with a very comfortable bed and quality bathroom amenities, which made for a relaxing stay. However, when it came to the dining experience, things were a bit underwhelming. The buffet food was average at best and didn’t quite meet the expectations we had for a five-star resort. Service was also quite slow; we often had to wait a long time just to get our drinks, which became frustrating over time. One of the more disappointing experiences was having a dinner at the Fusion restaurant canceled without clear communication. We also booked a private Ocean Vista dinner, which had potential, but unfortunately, the food arrived lukewarm. The risotto was the highlight of that meal, but the rest was forgettable, especially the dessert. There was also a repeated issue with missing cutlery—we had to ask for forks multiple times, and on one occasion, it took nearly half an hour to get one. On the plus side, we enjoyed the drinks at the Retreat Bar, which were well made. However, the resort lacked entertainment options both during the day and in the evenings, leaving the atmosphere a bit flat for guests looking to enjoy more than just the beach or pool. Overall, the Westin has a beautiful setting and comfortable rooms, but there is definitely room for improvement in service, food quality, and guest engagement activities.

Excellent from start to finish. Massive room, lovely staff and beautiful setting. Food in both the self service restaurant and the Indian restaurant were varied and delicious. We are both vegetarian and didn't struggle at all. Free glass bottom boat taking us out snorkeling was good.

Everything was great here but better for romantic couples and not for business. Breakfast was great probably my best meal of the day. Dinner reservations made it hard to commit to reservations not knowing when we would be back for dinner paired with a no show fee. Rooms and staff were great
