LUX Belle Mare* is a very, very kid-friendly hotel one of the best for families traveling with children. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff are both professional and incredibly friendly. The kids club is fantastic, with a wide range of fun activities that keep the little ones entertained and happy. The swimming pool is heated, which makes it perfect for all ages, and the beach is beautiful — clean, calm, and great for families. We also really enjoyed the lunch options, with good-quality food and a nice variety. Overall, this is a beautiful resort, and if you’re traveling with children, it’s a perfect place to stay. Highly recommended for a relaxing, family-friendly vacation.

We spent two wonderful weeks as a family in this breathtaking retreat on the east coast, set along an expansive, shallow beach, perfect for small children. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and professionalism. Scott greeted us with genuine hospitality and personally guided us through the resort, ensuring we felt at home right from the start. Throughout our stay, he remained an invaluable resource, always ready to assist. The resort’s amenities are outstanding. The pool is beautifully designed with various depths and zones, making it perfect for children while still offering relaxation for adults. The culinary offerings are nothing short of extraordinary—each restaurant delivers excellent quality, and the Michelin-starred Indian restaurant is an absolute highlight. Service here is on another level. The team makes every moment feel effortless and indulgent. Sanjay, Rohan, Mimi, and Jenny at Mondo consistently provided top-tier service with warmth and professionalism. Pooja crafted incredible dishes with finesse, delighting us with fresh, made-to-order specialties. A special thanks to Suren, who was incredibly helpful in answering all our questions about the villas, and to our wonderful maid, Deepa, whose meticulous care ensured our stay was flawless. This resort has set a new benchmark for luxury hospitality. It’s an experience we will cherish, and there is no doubt—we will return!

The last time I was in Mauritius was about 11 years ago! This holiday was split into two halves over the ten days. The first half was spent visiting family and the attractions of Mauritius, and the second half was spent by the pool and beach! We stayed in the junior room for the first five nights, and our experience was great but once we moved into the ocean vue villa our experience felt even more amazing! Added bonus was, we had a private pool and we had a dedicated area on the beach with sun loungers that we did not need to claim early on in the morning! The butlers were great and went above and beyond our needs! Ketan and Mahen were very approachable and professional in how the looked after us during our stay. Canapes and sweet treats every evening. The cuisine was amazing even though my 6 year old chose pasta every day! Thanks to Chef Pascal and his team! The gym was well equipped and Patrick was very helpful. And the staff across the site were all really friendly and welcoming. Where I did speak the local language, the staff were pleased to hear me speaking fluently and encouraging my kids to respond in creole too! Would I go again, yes without a doubt, and recommend anyone else looking for a family friendly hotel. This holiday experience helped tick all my boxes, for what I wanted from my Mauritian holiday experience. A heart felt thank you to everyone at Lux Belle Mare!!!

We stayed at LUX Belle Mare three weeks ago and really enjoyed our stay. The room was a good size and very clean, the room was cleaned every day around 2pm. The breakfast has a huge selection and very well organised. There are a number of other places to eat and we tried every one, we were not disappointed. The staff at the kids club were amazing and our 4yo loved every moment there with lots of activities. Overall very impressed with the resort, staff were all very friendly and approachable. We would certainly return to a LUX resort.
