Casablanca

Looking out over the Atlantic Ocean, Casablanca is an ideal destination for anyone seeking a luxury holiday that combines glorious beach days with enriching urban adventures. Morocco’s largest city boasts an array of cultural and architectural attractions, as well as cosmopolitan arts, dining and entertainment venues for visitors to explore. Despite being a destination building for the future, Casablanca’s French colonial heritage is in evidence all around, with traditional Moroccan style blending with touches of European art deco. The impressive Hassan II Mosque is well worth a visit, being one of the largest in the world and featuring a stunning interior made of marble, onyx and wood. For authentic souvenirs, the city’s old medina is the place to go, while the Habous district features a variety of bustling souks offering everything from copper ornaments and leather goods, to colourful clothing and tantalising cuisine. A more relaxing experience can be expected on the coast. Here you’ll find leisure complexes with private beaches, water parks and fitness centres. A variety of water sports are also on offer, along with a selection of cafes and restaurants. With so much to discover, Casablanca’s the perfect destination for your next luxury escape.

Casablanca Highlights

Possibly Morocco’s most famous city - mostly due to the film of the same name – Casablanca has plenty to offer in the way of sights, attractions and experiences to enjoy.

From beaches and culture, to sports and shopping, this intoxicating city has something for everyone.

Casablanca’s most famous attractions is the Hassan II Mosque. Standing next to the Atlantic Ocean, this stunning place of worship is not to be missed during your visit. The largest mosque in Africa, it features a towering 210-metre-tall minaret, while its mesmerising interior is a sight to behold, with exquisite décor made from stone, wood, marble and onyx. Non-Muslims can enjoy guided tours outside of prayer times, but visitors must dress accordingly.

While you’re visiting the Hassan II Mosque, you might as well drop in on La Corniche, nearby. Part of the Ain Diab Neighbourhood, it offers a host of restaurants and bars, as well as easy access to the beach.

If you’re craving a spot of shopping during your holiday in Casablanca, how about paying a visit to one of the many souks? Marche Central, in the heart of the city, is the most well-known, and is a great place to pick up a special souvenir or some local craftwork. It is also a superb spot for lunch.

Those who prefer sport to shopping, will be glad to know that there are a number of golf courses around Casablanca. A range of water sports can also be enjoyed off the coast, with surfing, wind surfing and jet skiing all on offer, while those looking for a more relaxing activity might choose to set sail on a fishing trip.
