Everything was perfect from the comfortable lounge zone in airport to whole staying.
The only one moment which one faced as a minus. On second night some bugs were bite me and my husband. We informed the reception and staff immediately reacted and send special service to the room to fix that issue.

Me and my family came to Medhufushi just last week and we were happy with our choice of resort. We arrived with the plane on the way to the resort and were immediately greeted with a drink, they then brought us to the rooms. We took the beach villas which had an incredible view alongside being immersed in trees and plants. The rooms are spacious however, some maintenance should be done, not only regarding the rooms but especially in the common areas. The wood paneling of the pool was something we noticed as being particularly worn which should be changed. The towels used sometimes were particularly worn (in some cases with holes). The main activity that we did during our time on the island was snorkeling which was worth it. During the snorkeling excursion, we saw dolphins and sharks and even managed to see some as we swam. Another truly impressive part of the resort was the care the staff had to meet every need we had. Having a person with gluten allergy we did not expect to be treated with such great care. The head chef Anukmar alongside all of his staff made the experience of breakfast and dinner great. They went out of their way to prepare gluten-free pancakes in the morning and even showed around the buffet every night to indicate the gluten-free foods. Although the staff for the rooms and other spaces was nothing short of kind and fast we had a few problems with the staff at the reception.
This is a simple resort which is ideal for those who want a quite vacation while appreciating nature.

From the moment we arrived, he made us feel welcomed, remembered our preferences, and always greeted us with a warm smile. Whether it was a morning coffee or a late dinner, he was consistently attentive and kind without ever being intrusive. He truly elevated our experience unforgettable. The experience was wonderful despite a few issues. The food, in relation to its cost, was not worth it, and there were very few good Indian options available. Additionally, the waitstaff seemed biased towards Foreigners. Another issue was that the bedsheets were not changed once during our 5-day stay, which was disappointing for a 4-star hotel, as basic cleaning should include this.
On the positive side, everything else was great. The location and cleanliness of the resort were top-notch. However, it’s important to note that it is quite far from Male Airport, and they only have two speedboats available each day.

What an amazing place! My husband and I just returned from our 10-night honeymoon and feel incredibly lucky to have experienced this paradise. This was my second visit to the island; I had been there 11 years ago, and to return now with my husband was a dream come true. The staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Special thanks go to Sajed, Liton, and Anukumar, who went above and beyond to make our trip so special. We can't thank them enough for providing us with the best experience we could have asked for. The food is out of this world, and the views and sea life surrounding us were breathtaking. We are already saving up in hopes of visiting again!

First holiday away from our four children absolutely beautiful, hotel is amazing. Beach is gorgeous. Sea is refreshing and full of marine wildlife that are easily found when snorkeling. Mama in the kitchen is ensuring the food is amazing and the belly’s are full. Jo at the beach bar provides an incredible service, all staff are extremely helpful. This play is paradise

This is no less than a paradise .Right after your exit from airport ,at the counter of the resort we are taken care of, till they drop us back at Airport. Once you reach the resort in a speed boat, you are welcomed there by assigned staff ,after the formalities ,taken to room in a buggy.
We had booked over water villa with full board for 3 days.It was such a wonderful experience, in the midst of turquoise blue water, almost 4 to 5 colour gradients, as you gaze further away until you see deep blue at the farthest end , that too like a line drawn between them ,so that we come to know ocean is deep where you see deep blue.
Without under water walking, you are lucky here to get that view ,as water is crystal clear, pristine , has coral reefs with beautiful fishes moving around. White sand is another attraction.
Rooms are spacious ,well maintained, neat, ample space in bath area, rain coats, life jackets placed there. Variety of tasty food, delicious choice of desserts, restaurants with meticulous arrangements. Poolside restaurant ,pleasing, welcoming ,helpful staff needs special mention. 3 days flew like hours, as you are staying in the property you get enough time to enjoy the nature ,sunset ,sunrise, fabulous, unbelievable reflections on water.
Of all the countries we have visited till now ,this was the best experience.The night before we left ,the details of timings about luggage pick up ,time of boat etc was kept in our mail box. Everything is well planned & executed -

Happy that we met HR Manager Mrs .Nishadee incidentally at Shark feeding area. So I could gift a painting done by myself during our stay & Books written by my husband for the library ,which was handed over to guest Manager from Vietnam.They were so kind enough to come over to see us off .

Amazing experience staying at this resort. Service is excellent. We could use APP to contact the housekeepers anytime. The staffs are all so welcoming and friendly, especially Nadia who guided us around and very helpful. We stayed at the sunset water villa, amazing view. Can’t never forget the beautiful sea and the sunset. Very sweet honeymoon benefit too. We also rented the snorkelling gear and just jumped into the sea anytime we want from our water villa.

What a place to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary & our first holiday without our 3 children.
Paradise is the only word to truly describe the resort.
From our meeting with Centara rep in Màle airport, the speedboat transfer, the meet & greet at Centara resort, the impeccable service from our villa attendant Shohel (who did an amazing design with rose petals on our bed wishing us happy anniversary, Jo the bar manager was incredible, such a devoted man to his job, & Naz our waiter that organised a special table for our last meal, it was so romantic.
We had the most amazing 8 days here, we travelled from Ireland, that took 2 flights with a total of 24 hours from our home to our over the water beach hut.
The resort itself was immaculate. The bars, restaurants, villas, beaches, toilets, everything was constantly being cleaned.
My husband did 5 dives with Gerry, we did an afternoon trip to Màle, we did a 30 minute trip on a submarine and to top it off we did parasailing over the resort.
If you are looking for a holiday of a life time then this is the place !!!!

This resort was a huge disappointment in terms of value for money, especially because of the terrible surroundings. Massive piles of rocks dumped in front of the bungalows to stop the waves look absolutely awful and completely ruin the beach vibe. The bungalows on the western side, where the sea is calmer, are so overgrown and neglected that you can’t even reach the beach — though to be fair, a few spots are slightly better.
The snorkeling conditions? An absolute disaster. The so-called snorkeling areas are full of dead, broken corals, and everywhere else it’s nothing but endless sea grass, with the occasional sea cucumber — that’s it. Whole bech was covered by this dead see grass washed up by the sea. If you’re hoping for a proper underwater experience, forget it.
As for the food — after a week, you’ll be sick of curry. Everything tastes overly sweet, and even the fish, which should be a highlight here, is usually bland and disappointing. Compared to our last trip to the Maldives, where every meal was beautifully prepared, this was a total letdown. It feels like a cheap, overcrowded canteen trying to feed as many people as possible with no real care for quality.
The restaurants are understaffed, and in the evenings when people flood in, the poor staff simply can’t cope, and no one steps in to help them. It’s chaos.
Honestly, this place feels like an overpriced Egypt — and at least in Egypt, you’ll actually see something underwater.

Had a great week at Canareef staying in a sunset beach villa. Overall it was a great escape, which started with a warm welcome greeting from our enthusiastic and fun host, Millie. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility which is a real benefit being located on the most southern atoll. However, after a very long journey to Male airport, we then had to take a 1.5 hour domestic flight and then travel by boat to reach our final destination. Nevetheless, the accommodation was comfortable and enabled us to get a well earned rest! The food was good too, especially once we made the staff aware of our dietary requirements (vegetarian). Bishnu and Leon from the dining team, made a real effort to ensure that we were well looked after. Their professionalism and care and attention was greatly appreciated and has left us with fond memories of our time in the Maldives.

I think for the price quality it's good. Service depends on the person's we have excellent service some of the people others terrible. Food is not the best thing in the resort. Rooms amazing but lacks quality on the rest of the resort. Location wise it's a little far from Male you have to take internal flight then boat.

Food was incredibly tasty & diverse: Aloysius & team are excellent (we stayed in early 2025)
After diving & snorkeling across many islands; can say that this was one of the cleanest beaches and the healthiest corals
Activities are probably too highly priced- would have done some more diving or tried fishing

Canareef was not our first choice location .we were informed 2 days before our holiday .it's a much bigger resort than we would choose and that reflected in the maintenance of the accommodation.we were put in room 713 which was right down the bottom of the island .A long way from the restaurant,so to get to and fro we had the free bikes.They were v uncomfortable and gears not working but just about ok .the shuttle service was v hit and miss .sometimes you would have to wait quite a while for one ,then 1 would turn up full up .
Why don't you have bus stops and a shuttle that picks up every 15 mins ?
Service was great .amazing choice of food every meal .Bars v good
The most cared for part was the accommodation up to numbers 550
After that the planting and road goes downhill.

We really enjoyed our stay. The entire dive center, the massage team and the bar are all very friendly and helpful. We had no problems and were able to enjoy a stress-free vacation. The rooms were always clean and the food was delicious and varied (remember it is a small island and there are not many options). We would like to thank everyone and would come back again.🌴
Addendum: I've been waiting two months for a medical report for my insurance because I had to go to the doctor at the hotel. After really asking several times, I keep being put off, which really annoys me. It's best to take a detailed report with you if you have to go to the doctor. An invoice is not enough for many insurance companies.

My wife and I have just completed our second stay at this fabulous resort - what a find and we were thrilled to return! This is in our view just how the Maldives should be, stripped back, a little rustic with all of the essentials perfectly in place. Rahaa like most of the Maldives enjoys a stunning location in the Indian Ocean, but where this resort differs and stands out is the manner in which the natural beauty and charm of the island has remained steadfastly in place; as a consequence the nature and wildlife habitats are as they have been for time immemorial. This does not have the glitz and glamour of other resorts and has remained true to its’ roots. The rooms are all air conditioned, spacious and delightful, the restaurant offerings are just perfect at this price point, again staying true with Maldivian cuisine together with themed offerings resulted in truly something for everybody and all absolutely delicious. The bar staff under the watchful eye of the ever helpful Islam are caring and attentive as it must be said are all of the team members who always stop whatever they are doing and meet you with heartfelt and genuine greetings which is a real pleasure. Special thanks to Islam for helping to organise my Anniversary surprise which was perfect! Ismael, the Rahaa General Manager was present throughout our stay and it is refreshing to hear his continuing future vision for the resort is to continue very much in the same vein and in doing so make The Maldives more accessible for both new and returning clients.
During our stay my wife unfortunately required some prompt medical treatment and the service she received throughout was absolutely second to none - my heartfelt thanks to Ismael and the resort Doctor for your professionalism and kindness.

Located in the middle of untouched nature on Lamu Atoll, not far from the equator. The resort is in a well-kept, very pristine condition and offers a lot of tranquillity and, above all, direct proximity to the indescribably beautiful nature of the Maldives.
It is a 4-star resort, which is particularly noticeable in the food. We had a great stay and I would recommend the hotel to anyone who just wants to take a deep breath, but I would definitely not recommend this place as a honeymoon destination.
Location & surroundings
From Male Airport it takes another 1 hour by domestic flight, from there it is about 45 minutes by speedboat to the resort. The surroundings are simply fantastic!
Rooms
The rooms are clean, functionally equipped and very spacious. We booked a Langoon villa and really enjoyed our stay.
Service
The service is great! Everyone at the hotel is in a positive mood and extremely courteous. Our special thanks go to our room service Surendra and the bar keeper Rana, who made our stay extra special with good humor and nice
conversations!5****!!!
Gastronomy
The choice of food is unfortunately very limited. Also, a lot of things tend to be repeated from day to day. I would generally describe the cuisine as rather local. We were always served enough and the food was fresh, but people who eat very selectively will not be happy here.
Sport & entertainment

The ocean view rooms are fantastic with outdoor bathroom and the Aircon in the bedroom is super chilled.. the cleaners are also very regular and efficient at cleaning the sand from the rooms. The whole experience was very relaxing with stunning scenery.. my only disappointment was no jet ski hire.. The canoes were great for a visit to small islands around it.. A huge thanks to Maafu who did me a Hugh favour whilst out on the turtle excursion..
In whole I did enjoy my stay here and would recommend them if you're looking for a relaxing break.. thanks very much all at Raaha Resort.

A good house reef with plenty of fish, but the current constantly changes. The staff is friendly and always ready to help solve any issue. The island feels wild, but it could use a bit more upkeep. Some areas need renovation (for example, the pathway to the villas – the lighting consists of completely different lamps, which doesn’t look great) and so on.

We loved it here! Celiac (gluten) and dairy allergies in our family, no problem. The chef told us what was safe to eat at almost every meal, and we had a lot of options! The included fishing trip was so much fun, and our kids still want to go fishing because of it. Not many kids on island, so ours were like celebrities and had the best time! We talk about this trip at least once a week, and it’s been nearly 3 months since we were there. Seriously amazing!

Resort has a wonderful house reef and we planned to have our first ever diving experience here. Best choice that we made! Two magical experiences -
First, Ramzan guided us through night fluo dive. His instructions were so helpful to make it thorougly enjoyable inspite of neither of us being great swimmers. Infact I was uneasy, to begin, with snorkeling gear and fins but he gave us so many tips that I was almost a fish by the end of evening! The night dive in itself was beyond words! Must have experience for anyone.
Next day Matja, the diving instructor, took us for deep diving. Again, she was so precise in her instructions, so thorough that we had not one single issue through the entire dive inspite of it being first dive of our life! Witnessed some miracles of underwater world...
Also must mention Reema and Wiwik - who gave us 90 min of pure bliss in spa room. Reema was so good that without any mention she recognized my back week areas and my aches vanished like they never existed!
We are vegetarian and the restaurant manager and chef made sure to cater to us and kept checking upon us to ensure we were enjoying our meals.
Jaish was our server in restaurant- at mere 19 yr he was the youngest of all staff and yet so professional and warm. He shared lovely personal stories and even photos he clicks - photography being his passion.
Shakir took care of keeping our villa clean and fully stocked up at all times. Again, always happy to go an extra mile to be of help.
Overall, an unforgettable holiday, thanks to wonderful location, facilities but most of all the staff.

I visited this place for the second time with my family to celebrate my daughter's birthday.
The resort is very beautiful, calm and the best place to relax.
Ocean Villa was awesome. My only suggestion would be that the toilet and bath area should have blinds as the doors are transparent.
Restaurants had a variety of options, but comparing it to our last visit, Sunset restaurant had limited options and the staff were not attentive.
We found a variety of options in the Banyan restaurant and the staff were very attentive.
We were attended to and taken care of by staff member Rahul. He was very helpful, professional and one message away. Kudos to him. He made us explore the resort and provided us 5 star service.
The room service team decorated our room and Rahul arranged a cake for my daughter's birthday. It was complimentary from the hotel.
We also enjoyed the sunset cruise. It was very peaceful.
Airport transfers and the staff were very helpful.

Our stay at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Ms Sandali at reception, whose kindness and professionalism truly set the tone for a perfect holiday. Her warm smile and genuine care made us feel right at home — she went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable.
A special shout out also goes to KK and the entire team at the main restaurant. Every meal was a delight — the variety, taste, and presentation of the dishes were absolutely top-notch. The chefs clearly put their hearts into every plate, and the service staff were always attentive, friendly, and efficient. Dining there was an experience in itself!
The entire resort is a paradise — beautifully maintained, peaceful, and filled with the friendliest staff who are always ready with a smile. Whether it was the housekeeping team, bar staff, or activity coordinators, everyone contributed to making our stay unforgettable.

My wife and I chose Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi for our latest trip to the Maldives—just the two of us, no kids—and honestly, it was perfect.
The whole island has this cool, surf-friendly vibe that’s super chill but still feels special. The staff were so kind from the moment we arrived. Everything is green and peaceful, like walking through a tropical garden.
Food? Amazing. So many good options, especially and surprisingly, for my celiac, gluten free wife. She says it was the best pizza of her entire celiac experience (past 5 years). The live acoustic music at night made it feel even more memorable. We loved the sunset cruise and the noontime snorkeling at the nearby reef.
Also—the outdoor shower in our villa? Both spacious and spotlessly clean, fantastic design. 10/10. We loved every moment and already want to come back.

Adaaran Select Hudhuran Fushi is an absolute gem! My partner and I had the best holiday experience, and a big part of that was thanks to the amazing staff. A special shoutout to Pradeep and kisha, who made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Their constant smiles and helpful nature made our stay even more enjoyable.
The resort itself is beautiful, with white sandy beaches and turquoise waters. We stayed in a beach villa, which was spacious and spotless. The food was delicious, with a variety of options to suit every palate.
One of the best things about the resort was how well-organized everything was. The front office staff, in particular, made everything so easy, from check-in to helping us book activities. Their warmth and professionalism really set the tone for a fantastic stay.
Thank you to the entire team for an unforgettable vacation. We can’t wait to return!

The resort is a 30 minute speed boat ride from the airport. The setting is quite nice and there are many choices of accommodation types. All meals and drinks are included and we didn’t have any issues being served drinks in a timely way.
The rooms are quite dated ( we had a beach room ) although they are well sized. Our bathroom was outside with the toilet which was unusual but quite nice. There is a stocked mini bar ( no charge ) with beer and soft drinks.
The beach is close and you can snorkel from straight off the beach at high tide.
There was plenty of choice in terms of food but only one coffee machine for several hundred people. There was invariably a queue in the morning waiting for that first coffee.
Personally I found the meal times too late - 7:30am for breakfast and 7:30pm for dinner although there is a grill bar and a pizza place if you don’t want to wait. The restaurant was so amazingly hot. It had small fans up so high that you couldn’t feel the breeze. It wouldn’t take much to fix it and make meal times bearable.
The service was mixed and we particularly found reception unhelpful. We wanted a late checkout and asked from the day we got there but had to wait until exactly 7:30am on our last day before anyone was able to make a decision. What should have been an easy decision when we arrived became more complicated by the time we left because of the closure of Heathrow Airport and the flow on.
We managed to finally get a late checkout and checked twice with reception that someone would get our bags. They kept nodding and smiling but when we got to the speedboat - no bags!
They eventually turned up but no explanation and no apology. It was a disappointing end.
All in all I’m not sure how the resort stacks up against others in the price range. We had a nice holiday but it wasn’t memorable. It’s not somewhere I would particularly recommend.

Beautiful island with an absolutely stunning house reef – perfect for snorkeling and diving. The scenery is breathtaking, and the Dive & Sail dive center is a true highlight with professional and passionate instructors.
However, there’s definitely room for improvement in other areas. The buffet gets repetitive quite quickly – it would be great to see more variety, especially for longer stays.
The service at the reception was unfortunately disappointing. We asked multiple times about our late departure, but our questions were just smiled away without any real answers. On the last day, we finally got the transfer time – far too early in the morning – and it was obvious that our concerns hadn’t been taken seriously. In the end, we just sat around on our departure day waiting for hours for the transfer to Malé. An absolute disaster.
Amazing dive center, beautiful location, but in terms of service (reception) and food, there’s still a lot of potential to improve. We sincerely hope this review is taken seriously.

Not the typical Maldives resort. The service is only so-so. The beaches are almost non-existent.
Our beach villa was fine, but too close to the pool and often noisy. No outdoor shower, although I see they left a drain for one.
Food is good, very good variety and of decent quality for the price. The restaurant could be overcrowded at times.
Their reef is great and is the only reason to come back to this place.
Some wildlife on the resort as lizards, flying foxes, different birds.
In general we enjoyed it but there's a lot of room for improvement.

Great hotel on the paradise. Stuff super excellent for skills and courtesy. We got the all included and beyond breakfast, lunch and dinner also unlimited open bar was available. The variety and the good level of food was very appreciated in both the restaurants as well the snacks at bar. Rooms large and very clean. Perfect for sweet vacation.

Fellow holiday makers, this is an absolutely awful place with most disgusting behaviour from staff. I saw them verbally abusing a customer for a mistake the staff made (in front of other customers). Perhaps they were afraid of getting in trouble so they tried to pass the buck.
Also this place takes in hoards of non resident customers for day trips which makes the island very busy. They were in spread out in front of peoples beach huts - the island holiday makers were visibly dismayed by this.
Food is mediocre. The worst being what appeared like microwave chicken nuggets for afternoon tea- I kid you not.
It is not a particularly attractive island either. Do better with your money, friends. I deeply regret coming here. The staff should be ashamed of themselves but from reviews I have read on other sites this is common behaviour.
The people who review this place favourably must be easily impressed with mediocre and favour microwave food. Coming to the Maldives is a lengthy journey and a costly one, don’t shortchange yourself for a place like this. There are far superior places you can spend the same at.

I went in November 2023 and it's the best holiday I have ever been, and will return as soon as I'm able.
The water bungalow was beautiful (note - there is coral/rocks under bungalow so you can't go straight from your deck to the water, but there are stairs into the sea directly at the start of the walkway so not an issue). Sohag looked after our room daily and kept it pristine. The snorkeling was absolutely fantastic and was the main way we spent our time. I did not go diving but did go on the guided night snorkel with the dive team, which I strongly recommend - the current was strong but we saw so much wildlife we would not have seen otherwise.
The resort is very environmentally conscious which is a huge draw, and aims to minimise plastic waste wherever possible. Also, the staff were fantastic - Osanda on the bar was so friendly and lovely to chat to while getting drinks, and Aisha took great care of us for our private beach dinner. Thanks also to Unaish and Igbal! Finally, the food was phenomenal. I'm vegetarian and there was always plenty of choice, and the chef would come round to check I was happy with the selections and offered to cook me something fresh if not. Absolutely zero complaints about any aspect of this trip.

What a beautiful island and the staff are so helpful friendly and hospitable. We have loved everything about this amazing trip. We stayed in a beach villa with a jacuzzi and spend every day in it. Walks on the beach, the sea water was so calm and blue and clear. Snorkeling paradise, we saw so many fish, even a baby shark along the shore. Buffet meals were amazing with a great selection of fish, lamb, pork, beef, chicken, turkey, prawns, mussels, curries, pasta, calamari just about anything and everything you could want or wish for.

We had 9 days at Meeru mid April 2025, We were allocated villas 651 & 652 as our "children" were over 21. These villas are slightly set back from the beach front, but still an ideal position & close to the Maalan Restaurant & Uthur Bar. As we were All Inc, we could take advantage of the dine around option & tried out the Reef Restaurant, Asian Wok for Teppyanki. Overall all the food was excellent. for the Pools we used the adult only Infinity pool, which was quiet & always had loungers available, snack & drinks form the Al Mar!!
Activities, two of us did the shark snorkling, wind surfing & paddle tennis, we all did the golf driving & 9 hole, The Manta snorkling trip was expensive but worth it, we saw the manta, Turtles, sharks & also dolphins.

“HEAVEN ON EARTH”
I spent 4 days and 3 nights at Meeru Maldives, and it was hands down one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had.
From the moment I arrived in Malé, everything was taken care of. A speedboat transfer picked me up at the airport and brought me straight to the resort, which already set the tone for a seamless and luxurious stay.
I stayed in their overwater villa, which was stunning. The room was spacious and beautifully designed, with a private jacuzzi and direct access to the ocean—I could literally step out of my room and go for a swim with tropical fishes, sharks and manta rays.
I chose the all-inclusive package, and it was absolutely worth it. It included breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, and unlimited alcoholic drinks. The food was excellent with tons of variety—you’ll never get bored with the options. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, and the dining areas were lovely.
Activities were a big highlight. I went snorkeling in the open sea and saw turtles and an incredible variety of colorful fish. I also took part in a dolphin-watching tour, which was unforgettable. The island itself offers so much—there’s a golf course, tennis court, bicycle rentals (which I used to explore the whole island), a spa, water sports, and more.
What really stood out to me was the service. Every staff member I interacted with was warm, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
Meeru is also great for those who want a mix of relaxation and activities. You can lounge by the beach, enjoy a cocktail, or go on an adventure—it’s all up to you.
Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a perfect island escape. I’m already thinking about when I can return!

We had a great time in this resort. Staffs of this resort are hospitable, very warm and welcoming and serve everyone with a smile on their face. It is definitely one of the best family resorts in Maldives. as we travelled with 5 yr old kid, availability of Indian food was a concern to me. I was happy to feed Indian dishes to my kid at this resort. We all liked this beautiful property.

The overall experience was very nice. Both myself and my wife had a great honeymoon experience. I would definitely recommend this to all. Could include more free excursions. Could include more vegetarian options.

Fantastic, What a beautiful island and welcome we received.
The front of house team were very welcoming and made sure the check in was quick and hassle free, all the staff made every effort to ensure our stay was as relaxing as possible. For the more energetic visitors Bibo and Money run a brilliant exercise and entertainment schedule and they even sang happy birthday to my wife whilst she was sat on the balcony 🥰. Our waiter Shareef was fantastic and ensured we had water and wine waiting for us when we reached our table each night. Shareef also arranged our romantic meal on the beach, and with the help and culinary skills from Sampoon, ensured all our dietary needs were met and made our evening extra special. Rooms were cleaned twice daily, afternoon and then around 8pm, ready for when you returned to your room after a few drinks.

My husband and I came to Cinnamon Dhonveli for our honeymoon. The place is really like paradise, the beach is breathtaking, and the resort is a piece of heaven.
The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and catered to our every need.
From the friendly check-in process to the thoughtful touches throughout our stay, it truly felt like a personalized experience. The food definitely exceeded our expectations! It is buffet and I imagined that the recipes would repeat but every day there is new things to try, fresh juices, and action stations where they prepare the personalized dishes for you. My husband is Sri Lankan and we discovered that some of the chefs and service staff were also Sri Lankan. They were extremely welcoming and made my husband feel at home. Chef Anbarasan prepared a special prawn curry just for us, which was an unforgettable culinary experience. Nimesh and the entire waitstaff at the Maakana restaurant were outstanding, always ensuring we felt taken care of with their exceptional service and warm hospitality.
We didn't get to do much activities though, there was plenty going on in the bars (live music, karaoke, jazz, a crab race 😅).
Overall, our stay at Cinnamon Dhonveli was we felt taken care of with their exceptional service and warm hospitality.
It's the perfect destination for those looking to unwind, experience luxury, and enjoy world-class service.

We came for our honeymoon, our first time in the Maldives. The entire staff is very friendly, and the rooms are very comfortable and clean. The experience is incredible; it's basically like being in paradise. Sattar gave us a flower necklace, Shiman was there for anything we needed, and Addianet and Damaso are incredible musicians, very friendly, and they liven up the evenings. I would like to thank Lasaan and Nahaaj for their kindness and friendliness.
It's really sad to have to say goodbye to all of them.
We would definitely repeat the experience at Cinnamon without a second thought.

Such a dream, this is one of the most beautiful places I have been in. The stay was amazing, and the staff were brilliant. The food selection on every meal was excellent. They even got us a gift on our birthday, a champagne (alcohol free) bottle. Few activities within the resort, mainly aquatic. Rooms were a very good size, and if you can, get the ones by the sea, just wow.

We have stayed in the most expensive house, yes ocean front, spa and pool, high ceilings with showers outside and all that, we paid $2850 for 2 nights booked a year in advance.
Overall it's very ordinary and there is nothing to do. Yes they have a gym but it's far from the beach, food is average and it's quite boring.
They don't allow you to fish, just a heads up.
There's no sign that it says but they get very aggressive if they see any fishing activity.
You can pay $300 and go out fishing and that's all.
We had a storm of sand flies today and heaps of mosquitoes.
Not recommended to my friends and my clients to stay the most expensive one. Maybe cheaper rooms you feel better than how I feel about it.

The water was amazing soooooo clear you did not have to venture far to see an array of fish. The rooms were lovely and well maintained. Marine staff so knowledgeable and helpful. My husband Paul had the time of his life with them on the skidoo.
The only thing I wish they had a battery operated cart for the porters carrying/pushing all the heavy luggage. It is hard work through the sand. Please see if you can do something for this hard working porters.

Malahini Kuda Bandos is absolutely beautiful!
What an incredible place – the beach is stunning, with crystal-clear blue water. We stayed at the Sunrise Beach Pool Villa, and it was amazing. I enjoyed the swimming pool so much, and we were really excited about the whole experience.
The breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all delicious – truly satisfying meals every time. The photographer was a bit expensive at $250 for 50 photos, but the quality was amazing, so it felt worth it.
A special thanks to my friend Akib Bhai from Malahini Kuda Bandos. He spoke Bengali and helped me a lot during my stay. I’m really grateful for him – thank you so much, Akib Bhai!

I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff who made our stay truly special. A particular thank you goes to Ms. Champhoo from Myanmar, who provided outstanding service at the Bluu Restaurant with her professionalism and warmth. Equally impressive was Ms. Kritika at the guest reception, whose kindness and efficiency added to our comfort throughout the stay.

From arrival on the island to departure, everything was wonderful. We were able to spend 14 nights in a Premium Beach Villa 131. All of the staff are really friendly and work very hard. On behalf of the staff in the restaurants, I would like to highlight Abu. He and his colleagues work very hard to make the vacation perfect. Jaanu (I hope I remembered that correctly) also brightened up the rainy days with her cheerful greetings. Although we have to eat gluten-free, it was no problem! Bread, pancakes and much more were specially prepared for us in the kitchen, but the labels on the buffet also showed the allergens. The only thing I could mention for improvement is that very spicy dishes could perhaps be labeled. Our housekeeper looked after us well and always cleaned very neatly and was able to fulfill almost all of our wishes promptly.
The house reef offers many interesting views for snorkeling. Unfortunately, not all of the corals are as colorful as they should be. In conclusion, a dream vacation

I will start with the Cons:
1. Reservation Issues: It took Emirates Holiday almost five days to check an overwater villa, but they couldn't reserve it. When I arrived, the resort offered the villa for an extra $615.
2. Unprofessional Reception: The reception lacked proper explanation about the resort's facilities and amenities.
3. Poor Room Service: Room service was uncoordinated, with poor communication with the reception. If you’re planning a special moment, don’t expect any surprises to go as planned.
4. Overpriced Food & Bars: Food and drinks are expensive. Full board or all-inclusive is necessary.
5. Expensive Activities: Resort activities and trips are overpriced.
Pros:
1. Beautiful Villas: The Premium Villa was superb with a sky jacuzzi. The Overwater Villa was elegant and offered good privacy pool
2. Clean Beaches: The beaches were clean and stunning.
3. Friendly Staff: Only Restaurant staff were kind and welcoming.
4. Location: only 15 mins form airport using the resort speed boat
Overall:
1. Unless you can deal with the above comments, I don’t recommend spend your money of this resort.
2. The resort has potential, but needs to improve its reservation system, reception, and room service to be truly 5-star.

Went here for 10 nights from 21st November to 1st December 2023! Went with a friend and stayed in a premium beach villa, which was excellent! Had the most amazing time here! The staff are so friendly and lovely and give impeccable service, especially Uttar and Jazlaan in the main restaurant who always welcomed us and were brilliant and Sanjay and Guru at the swim up bar at the pool who both gave excellent service. ( Sorry if I spelt their names wrong!) It was a holiday for my birthday and they did a wonderful table decoration and cake on our last night! The weather was great on the most hand. We had one morning of rain and one evening of rain, both lasting a couple of hours and the temperature was about 32 degrees celsius (day) 28 degrees celsius (night).
We were on the all-inclusive package, and the food was mostly really good. It is done buffet style and you can always find something you like! Obviously, there is a lot of fish, but they have theme nights too, eg, Mexican, Italian, Maldivian, etc. My only complaint is that you would think all cocktails and drinks would be included on the all-inclusive package, but it is only about 30- 40% of cocktails and house vodka, rum, whiskey and brandy. No liquers like Baileys, Amaretto, etc, are included.
We went on the sunset cruise to see dolphins in the wild, which was $80 each, and the experience was AMAZING!
The island works on a cashless basis, so everything is signed for, and you settle up on your last night, which made us feel safer not having to carry any money on us.
The island is a 10-minute boat ride from the Dock opposite the airport, and we were met in arrivals by staff from the island who were lovely and friendly and helped with our cases.
I highly recommend this resort and hope to go back sometime!! Thanks to everyone there who made my birthday so memorable!

Spent a week in Bandos in March. A solid 4* resort but not 5*.
Pros: easy to get to, decent level of maintenance of the resort, excellent spa massage, the vast majority of staff are friendly and helpful (special thanks to waiters Ranjun, Tanuj and Uttar), good level of cleanliness of the villas, enough choice of buffet menu and it's rather tasty. Maldivian natural beauty trumps it all and the underwater world is fascinating too.
Cons: there were a couple of service disasters caused by either lack of staff training or their poor English understanding. Some facilities like gym or hotel reception and main bar look dated. The transfer boat to the airport was an old and smelly fuel guzzler. The beds are hard as a rock.
We still had a great holiday there, good value for money, would recommend.

We recently stayed at Villa Park in the Maldives and had a lovely time overall, though there were some aspects that didn’t quite meet our expectations for a 5-star resort.
Positives:
Our Lagoon Beach Villa was beautiful – spacious, clean, and just steps away from the stunning ocean, which was, of course, the highlight as expected on the Maldives. The staff were extremely friendly and especially great with kids. The Kids Club was a real plus – modern, well-equipped, and run by a fantastic team who clearly love what they do. Our child absolutely loved it.
Areas for Improvement:
While the natural setting is unbeatable, the resort itself falls short of the 5-star standard it claims. The buffet food was good, but not exceptional – certainly not what you’d expect from a luxury resort.
Several parts of the hotel are in need of renovation, especially the pool areas. The baby pool in particular looked quite neglected. One of the beach bars also seemed quite run-down and didn’t invite you to stay. Another disappointment were the bikes available for rent – not only did they cost extra, but they were old and rusty, which really shouldn’t be the case in a premium resort.
In summary, we enjoyed our time thanks to the beautiful nature and the friendly staff, but the overall experience did not quite live up to the 5-star expectations. With some updates and more attention to detail, Villa Park could really live up to its potential.

From the moment we arrived at Villa Nautica, we were blown away. The staff are truly exceptional—hands down the best customer service I have ever experienced in all my years of traveling. Every single team member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect, and their warmth and professionalism made us feel like VIPs every step of the way.
The food was incredible—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Whether it was breakfast by the beach or a candlelit dinner, every meal was a treat for the senses.
The amenities were top-tier, offering everything you could possibly need for a luxurious and relaxing getaway. From the pristine pool to the tranquil spa and water activities, every detail was thoughtfully designed.
Our room was spotless, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, with all the touches of a five-star retreat. Housekeeping maintained the highest standards of cleanliness, and it truly felt like a home away from home.
If I could give more stars, I absolutely would. Villa Nautica is a slice of paradise, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Can’t wait to return!

The Buffet was very repetitive and the food wasn’t great , not enough variety. The whole concept of getting a bill to sign even when you’re all inclusive is extremely irritating as you often had to wait very long to be served and the constant asking of what you’re room number is prevents you from fully relaxing. The buggy service is poor- got told to sit in a buggy to wait multiple times for then to get off and wait in another one. The service for drinks is long we often had to chase waiters to take our orders. Some staff were lovely but this was the minority as majority were rude and abrupt. The transfer there was also very disorganised with having to wait 3 hours outside the airport with luggage in the heat for our flight to the hotel after travelling for 18 hours. Our waiter was also EXTREMELY rude at the Italian a la carte but he was very attentive to the influencer family next to us although we are the ones actually paying for this hotel. Very outdated decor overall- so much potential as the island is very pretty and the sea was lovely but wasted potential with the poor management. 80% of the hotel guests we encountered or saw in the restaurant were VERY NOISEY AND RUDE.Whilst this isn’t the hotels fault it certainly ruined aspects of our holiday with the constant dirty looks and glaring- with one guest even taking photos of us. Saw guests using their hands to pick up food at the budget, one leant over the food and smelled it putting their nose in it. Another guest would regularly cut in line for food. When we were on a buggy the people in front of us would fully turn around and stare at us. I have never ever seen such a bad crowd in a hotel before.
also be aware with how awful the bikes are - we paid around $40 to rent for two days but ended up not being able to ride it as the bikes were so old and rusty that it didn’t ride properly. Expected better service for how much we paid and a supposedly 5 star hotel. As someone who has been to countless 5 star resorts this hotel is closer to 3 stars.

I think one's enjoyment of this resort really depends on what you are looking for and how much you can afford. If you want to spend 10-12 thousand dollars/euros for a family of four and you like stinking hot weather and a nearly pristine beach with bath water seas, this is a good place. Based on the reviews I was expecting greatness, the reality is it is average. I think a lot of the superb reviews are based on people staying in the high-end rooms over the water or villas with private pools. Our room was dated, but clean, I saw other rooms that were quite new or renovated. If you were going during monsoon season and you had a lot of rain, I'm not sure how one could stay busy.
The website is misleading as a sunset beach villa sees no sunset(see photo), and even the deluxe sunset beach villas are view compromised with perhaps 10 of them actually in the direction of the setting sun. In fairness to the resort, they did offer a new room once I went round and round with them on this point, but after settling in with kids, who wants to spend another few hours packing. moving and unpacking? Not us. They finally comped a trip for us to the amount of $150.
The food was decent, especially if one likes Indian. If you are not a fan of Asian food and/or are a vegetarian you choices are going to become monotonous. Our kids ate the pasta everyday and liked it. The salad bar was fresh, but strangely the fish was simply AWFUL. It was not fresh by any stretch and no matter what sauce they tried to dress it up in, it was always overpoweringly fishy of flavor. The servers are slow and it was virtually impossible to get a COLD glass of water. The real problem are the drinks however.
if you don't get the all inclusive package (which adds more than $1K) you are going to pay hefty prices for everything except the buffet. The all inclusive package is considerably more money and it comes with all kinds of conditions based on how long you stay and in which room you have booked. Thus, the only drinks available with the standard full board package are water, tea and coffee. A soda is $6, tetra pak juice is $7, beer $7/8 (nonsense carlsberg), wine $15 for a small glass, mixed drinks start at $15 and a bottle of supermarket plonk which sells for €10 is $75. it was a blatant money grab and was highly disappointing. There are 5 restaurants in addition to the buffet, but the prices are absurd. An all inclusive package gets you one meal in one of these.
I like warm weather, but it is very, very hot and humid here and the one communal pool is truly bath water warm. The ocean isn't any better. I mention this because if I would have know there was no way to escape the heat other than the room, I might have chosen a different location. I want the water, whether pool, lake, ocean, river to be refreshing. Not even close here. The bug situation seemed to vary person to person, my body(see photo) and my son's was ravaged by mosquitos and no-see-ums (sand fleas). My wife, not so much. I used a lot of repellent. They seemed to spray quite often. The other problem was housekeeping --they come at night when you are at dinner and leave the doors open while cleaning. We had a steady parade of creatures in the rooms, until we figured out the schedule. (see photo)
All in all, I'd give the place 6/10, but because my wife likes the heat and my kid liked the pool and sea, I'll give it 7/10.
And frankly, the management can spare the platitudes that are most assuredly coming in the response. When, our individual host decided to explain away the sunset part of the accommodation with marketing gibberish and then tried to educate a scientist on the position of the sunset changes, I gave up trying to reason with an obvious company man in fear for his job.

We are currently staying here and unfortunately, the experience has been very disappointing. We waited over an hour for a basic iron and called the reception three times — nothing was done. The staff is rude and unfriendly, and it feels like they genuinely don’t want to work with people. If that’s the case, they shouldn’t be in hospitality, where they end up ruining guests’ vacations. We didn’t come here for a free stay — we paid expecting comfort and respectful service, not constant unpleasant attitudes and ignored requests. Would not recommend.

Well, it's the Maldives, so obviously beautiful. This was our second Maldivian holiday, and the Maldives are great; the sea, the colours, etc. are wonderful. But this island and resort had some aspects we didn't like. We paid a premium price for its eco credentials on a full board basis but discovered that the resort found ways to charge for every little thing. My husband was upset when they charged us for water at our first dinner. When he queried this, the server laughed at him. My husband asked what was funny, but we accepted that something was probably lost in translation. I enquired at reception the next day about this charge and was told all drinks were chargeable and all were priced in USD, so not cheap. I think it was over 6 USD for 2 glasses of water! All trips, snorkelling, food in other bars, etc. were also pricey unless you had also bought all inclusive premium at 100 USD per night per person extra! Having bought full board we, and I guess it's mine or my agent's misunderstanding, hadn't realised we would be incurring extra charges for the full package. Their pricing policy could be clearer. I personally found the island too big; there is a lot of walking. My mobility is not great, and some of the sand paths were challenging. My mobility was mentioned to the reception staff when checking in, but in the event we were placed on the polar opposite side of the island, not great. We were having to walk about 4 miles a day, in the heat, just to eat, visit a bar, or go to reception - personally, this was too much for me. We wanted to do snorkelling, so I enquired about joining the guided reef swim. We are not confident snorkellers and not young, so I thought this was the best option and told the centre guy this, including my mobility issue. However, when the guide arrived, this info was not passed on. The guide did not count the number of participants and set off at pace, at the front, chatting away to some obviously experienced snorkellers. After 5 minutes walking, we could no longer see the guide, and we asked another participant where we were actually going as the guide had not told us. By the time we reached the spot, the rest of the group were in the sea, and no assistance was available to us to get kitted up. I found getting flippers on in the sea a challenge. By the time we were ready, the party were already well out over the reef, and we didn't feel we could safely catch them up, so aborted the attempt for our own safety. I was particularly upset as I had been looking forward to what I thought was an escorted outing. We thought this attitude to safety was very poor. The guide had no idea of how many were in the party (is this safe?), and neither the dive centre nor the guide checked our ability or mentioned that it was solely for experienced snorkellers. No one followed this up for us, ie. asked if we'd enjoyed it or in the event even participated. My husband complained to no avail. This ruined our day. No care was shown to us at all. I was very upset about this. We also booked on the traditional dhoni boat sunset cruise. The info showed a picture of a beautiful traditional boat. However, in reality, this was not the case. It was an old boat, fibreglass, diesel, and very smelly. There was no gang plank and the gap from the jetty to alight the boat, was quite a jump, a challenge for me. Once underway, the doorways on both sides had no safety chains and were open to the sea, so I didn't dare move. Plus, the windows were high, so my viewing was restricted. The stairs to the top deck for better viewing were right at the back of the boat. Even my husband didn't fancy risking his safety because if you fell, you'd be directly over the prop as there was no safety rail. Very dangerous. All in all, we found the resort's duty of care to its residents and customers, very poor and individual staff members nonchalant when this was pointed out to them. As I said at the beginning of this review, it's the Maldives so beautiful, but we found this resort over commercialised and lacking in care. I wouldn't book here again.

Had an over water villa, fantastic views 511 great location.The fishes are so colourful and they love being fed bread, plus so many fruit bats. Food was best food I've ever had in any resort, staff r so friendly and polite, AI is fine, enough selection of drinks.
Only downfall is transfere getting off the island we opted to pay extra and get a sea plane otherwise u have to leave about 3am.
I don't think personally it is very good for children they would get bored safety is good though.

Really not clear what was covered by Premier All Inclusive and hotel didn't respond before we arrived. Some meals were on the "black list" rather than "blue" so we're an extra cost.

From the moment we arrived at Summer Island, we were swept into a tropical dream. The beauty of this place is beyond words—turquoise waters, powdery white sands, and lush greenery made every moment feel like a postcard come to life.

The food was another highlight—every meal was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We especially enjoyed the beachfront dinners under the stars, which were both romantic and delicious.
There were plenty of activities to choose from—snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs, sunset cruises, and peaceful spa treatments that left us feeling completely rejuvenated. But what we loved most was simply relaxing, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the peaceful, laid-back vibe of the island.
Our 7-day stay was nothing short of perfect. Summer Island is a hidden gem in the Maldives and we left with hearts full of joy and unforgettable memories. We can’t wait to return!

We stayed for three days on Summer Island and we thoroughly enjoyed our time. This resort prioritize your needs to an individual level. Their attention to detail was uncompromising with cleanliness, overall environment and amenities. There are so many options for foods and drinks, we are from around the world. The staff is respectful, friendly and always welcoming and ready to help with anything you need. I cannot recommend this place enough, it is locally owned and a female led business. We are super impressed! We will definitely return.

Great vacation resort with all you need for a memorable holiday, either with your partner, friends, or family. Villas are spacious and well designed for comfort, well hidden between the forest. Food at restaurants is very good and of wide variety. There are nice beaches and lagunas all around the island for great beach experiences. Joining them for their 10th anniversary was a really special experience! Greatly recommended for a great vacation!

We stayed in a premium bungalow and it was absolutely amazing! The staff were so lovely and extremely helpful. The beaches were stunning, rooms are modern and very comfortable. The two restaurants and bars were great, food was very high quality with lots of different options. The only bad thing about this place is leaving it. Would highly recommend for a dream holiday :)

I have spend 8 nights in the Paradise of Summer Island Maldives and everything was beyond my expectations. Food was delicious with a variety of cuisines: french, italian, mexican etc. My beach bungalow had a nice view of the ocean, really clean like the entire island. Stuff was really friendly, special thanks to those from Nevi Bar and also to the girl from the reception. There is a diving center where I tried turtle and manta ray snorkeling. It was really nice and special thanks to Ben.
The only think that needs improvement is the spa.. the massage I had wasn't the best and the girl that was at the spa reception is not that friendly with customers.
I will recommend the island to everyone that needs to spend few days in this paradise of Maldives.

Our stay at Oblu Xperience was delightful overall. The airport transfer was seamless with dedicated contact, and the all-inclusive package provided excellent value. Our small fridge and coffee bar were restocked daily with beer, coffee, and bottled water, which was a great touch. The spa services exceeded expectations—Anny, Acai, and Geri delivered a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. Using USD simplified transactions. My daughter, who never dived before, was able to participate thanks to her attentive and patient instructor, Kassim. Without his guidance, she likely wouldn’t have had the opportunity to enjoy diving with her dad.

We stayed in the over water villas and loved it. I recommend getting on the sunset side as the views are beautiful. The rooms are even better than the photos online. The only complaint is the wifi in the rooms - I posted a photo of the upload/download speeds for reference.
The staff there are so attentive. Hamit was taking care of our room and did an amazing job. Niya made beach volleyball a lot of fun and I learned a lot from him. Everyone throughout the resort worked so hard. They also seem to work a loooot (maybe management could help with that?)
It’s located far enough from Malé and the airport that it feels secluded and quiet but close enough that it’s only a 15 min boat ride. It felt like a true paradise getaway.

Lovely stay on the island, the beach bungalows are very modern with access to their own beach. An open air shower makes the room feel special. The only minor fault was the flooring in the bungalow where the joints between the flooring were frayed and were raised and need to be replaced. The staff were all friendly and attentive, the food was excellent, everything we ate from the extensive buffet was excellent.

The experience was fantastic. The staff were so great and helpful. The other guests were really friendly. It had a great vacation vibe. The island could be seen from the plane. They received us at the airport and took in our luggage. The speed boat journey was super fast and smooth. They welcomed us at the island with claps and drinks. They gave us a briefing about the island. We had buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner and drinks included in our package. We also had complimentary beverages in mini fridge in our room. We stayed there for one night in the water villa. The view of the blue lagoon and sea from the room is mesmerizing. Life jackets were given in the room. The water is very deep in front of the villa and underwater ground is filled with corals. So you must use life jackets because your feet wont touch the ground. You can snorkel anytime. If you are lucky you may get to see one or two fish and sting ray along with coral. You can ask for any specific villa on any side and if possible they will keep that request. You can also request for complimentary honeymoon bed decoration. The pool is open from 9am to 7pm. There is also foam show in the evening sometimes. There are dance parties in the pool too. There is live music at night by the pool. Breakfast time is 7am-10am, lunch time is 12pm-3pm and dinner time is 7pm-10pm. The whole island is really beautiful. There are buggy cars running from one end of the island to the other every 5 mins. You can get on them and go anywhere. The bridge to the other adjacent island is one of the most beautiful things in this island. You should book your departure speed boat slot as early as possible because if they get filled up, you won't be able to depart on time. They also helped us to cash out some money from our bank card. The only bad side was that their wifi was not good. We had to use mobile data.
Overall it was one of the best experiences in Maldives. Definitely recommended. The All inclusive (buffer lunch, buffet breakfast, buffet dinner, complimentary round trip transfer) water villa package costed 827 dollars when we booked it 2/3 weeks earlier. We went there on mid April 2025.

Amazing food! It was very hot in you but the room was always a haven and well air conditioned. The scenery is stunning but the food was the highlight. The underwater restaurant was amazing as well for the fish and we got to see several sharks there. Overall a great honeymoon, some kids around but not many, in the water villas were so peaceful.

Everything about this resort is a beautiful memory we cherish everyday, Our amazing stay at Hakura Huraa resort is truly one of the best stays we ever had in our traveling life.
Food in here should specially need a mention as it gets better on every meal. we have only spent one day at this resort and just for that one day we have collected so many beautiful memories.
Service - Main restaurant is located few minutes away from the water villas but the pathway leads to the restaurant was something that no one gets tired of passing by.
Staff- Staff was exceptionally nice as they greet on the spot everywhere we meet, special mention goes to service staff of the main restaurant for providing an above and beyond service eveytime. Fulu our waiter was really nice and always aware about our preferences even we stood for a such a short period. Also thanks goes to Nimesh as well for the smile and kind words he share with us on every meal.
Entertainment - Entertainment are varied as we only could enjoy quiet few, but as i see there are so many entertainment options available for the long staying people.
Rooms - Rooms are very nice even though it gets a bit warm at the noon but its understandable with the heat in Maldives.
Overall a great hotel would recommend to anyone who is planning to go for a vacation.

We love this hotel, is very beautiful and comfortable. The island is a paradise. The staff is so kind and solve to you any dude or requeriment. We have had an inforgetable holidays. Special mention to our waiter Shifaz, he made sure we were comfortable and well looked after. To sum up our honeymoon at the Adaaran prestige water villas we would say : OUTSTANDING , 1st class 5+* service , luxury indulgence. From the moment we got to Male airport we knew we were in for an amazing trip. And what a wonderful and memorable holiday it was!
Arriving at the airport in Male, the organisation of our transport to the island was excellent and we were really well looked after on the speedboat and domestic flight. It was such an awesome experience.
Our Butler Clovie (the only female butler) was incredible- she took care of everything for us , from getting us as many pina coladas whilst we relaxed by the amazing pool, to booking a sunset cruise to running me to the doctor to get some medication I needed. She was wonderful and gave us first class service. We wish her all the best in her endeavours - she will go far !!
The water villa restaurant was like a michelin fine dining experience every night - made even more special with the service given by Nihad- our amazing waiter. He was consistently professional yet warm and friendly cracking jokes too: we really hope Nihad and Clovie get the recognition they deserve and continue to do amazing things at Adaaran. A big thanks also to Moosa who kept our room spotless day and night.
We met many repeat guests- who have been going back to Adaaran for many years and I can see why. We are definitely going to return.

Fabulous experience! We absolutely loved everything from start to finish. Stunning island! Our butler Clovie was attentive and kept us informed about what was going on, on a daily basis. She took great care to ensure we didn’t miss a thing, before passing on to Addhu. Unais who looked after our villa room, also excellent, making sure our stay was even more special and comfortable than it already was. Water Villa food was delicious, service and attention to detail exceptional. Afternoon tea, canapés…yum!

Words hardly do justice to the breathtaking beauty of the beach and the crystal-clear waters surrounding the island—it was like stepping into a dream. We were thoroughly satisfied with our stay, and we’d especially like to thank Vernon for his genuine friendliness and attentive care.
This holiday was a wonderful escape for me and my sister, and the memories we made in the Maldives will stay with us forever.

We had the most amazing experience. Everything from the amazing buffet, breakfast had all the options you can imagine, healthy options too. The number of restaurants around the island meant you wouldn’t get bored of the menus which is great when you’re staying in one place for the whole holiday. We were able to snorkel off the beach from our room and we saw manta rays, star fish, turtles, an octopus and lots of big fish. The pool was also so nice, with a bar and our barman Naseer was excellent. He was so friendly and was great to see him whenever he was on shift.

This was our second holiday to Meedhupparu and it lived up to our return expectations in everyway that it could.
Everything on the island was clean and well maintained and all of the staff were immensely friendly, helpful and approachable in every way. The island experienced its first rain of 2025 over night whilst we were there during which 28cm fell. When we awoke some of the islands internal paths were underwater. The maintenance team were on it straight away and by 1000hrs had pumps running to clear the surface water. By that evening all the paths were cleared of water and back in use.
Throughout our stay we rotated around the islands restaurants but our favorite by far was the Sufura which specialised in Indian cuisine with a different theme each night reflecting a different province of India. The food was so good I am not sure I will ever be able to enjoy another curry in the UK again.
The below members of staff I would like to give a special mention to as they regularly went over and above to make out stay even more enjoyable. Adaaran Select take note……these staff members are a true credit to your brand and should be retained:
Apoorva (front of house at Sufura) - Always friendly and welcoming on every visit.
Soyonia (front of house at Jaafaiy) - Always greeted guests in professional and friendly manner.
Lexman (sous chef at Sufura) - Always friendly and more than happy to take time in explaining to guests what all of the specialality dishes were. He was also in charge of the chicken being cooked in the firepit which was mouth wateringly delicious every night of the week.
Abdulla (waiter Sufura) – Polite, friendly and attentive. Knew what we liked to drink and would bring it over without even being asked. The sand area of the restaurant which he was responsible for was always pristine.
Vernon (reception) – Really vigilant and immensely professional. Would always take time in the evening to find the guests whom he had had contact with and ask them how their day had been. Also an accomplished karaoke singer as he didn’t even need the auto cue.
Nirdosh (Watervillas Butler) – Although not our butler this year he always made a point of coming over to speak to us and ask how our stay was going whenever we passed one another on the island. Immensely professional and always impeccably turned out.
Ali Hameed (house keeping) – Maintained our room beautifully throughout our 2 week stay. There was never a grain of sand in the room after he had been and he also ensured that we received extra bottled water after I happened to mention that we both drank 2 litres per day.
Petkum, Chamara & N.Ssanka (Sunset Bar) – Despite the bar regularly being incredibly busy these boys ran a very professional and efficient operation. There was rarely much of a wait for our drinks to be brought over and amazingly they also had time to have a chat and joke with the customers. We both appreciated their taste in funky shirts too.

The location is better than in the photos. The nature is at it's home. It is the holiday of dreams. We have been in a boat trip and swimmed with the dolphins. We have saw the friendly type of sharks when doing scuba diving. It was fantastic.

Overall I would recommend coming here- it’s a good way to see a private island and the over-the-water huts. The food was nice enough and there was a good enough selection of drinks included.
A couple of things to be aware of that they could definitely improve on:
-apparently sometimes they don’t allow people onto the platform to see the over-water huts if they’re over 80% capacity (we had no issues)
- drinks can only be consumed at the bar (not on sun bed/beach) and all inclusive drinks finish at 4pm. Cocktails aren’t included
- mattresses for plastic sun beds are only provided to hotel guests

Best part is the location. It is just 20 minutes away from the airport, so not much time wasted in transit. There are reefs very close by that anyone can snorkel to and get a good view of marine life. Food is mostly continental with a bit of Indian mixed in. Staff are courteous and helpful. Would recommend to anyone, especially considering it's price relative to other resorts.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this incredible resort in the Maldives, and we can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was absolutely exceptional. Every staff member went above and beyond to ensure that all of our needs were met with warmth, attentiveness, and care. It was clear that guest satisfaction is their top priority.
We stayed in both a Lagoon Villa and a Sunset Beach Villa, and both were absolutely stunning. Our amazing cleaner, Oahab, made each room extra special with thoughtful towel and flower decorations, and gave us exceptional service.
The food was another highlight, the buffet everyday was incredible with different themes and dishes everyday. Mahbab’s omelettes in the morning were a perfect start to the day, and Bashir and Aakash in the kitchen prepared amazing dishes and service. Our waiters, Sayid and Adeel, were attentive and always ensured we had everything we needed.
The Beach Bar, with Abul and Anis behind the counter, offered a relaxed and vibrant atmosphere while delivering fantastic drinks.
We also had the pleasure of meeting Asim, who was painting in the shop.
Finally, Roji’s warm hospitality and attention to detail truly stood out, she is truly a star. Thank you everyone for making our visit so special. We can’t recommend this place enough and look forward to visiting again soon!

It’s been two weeks since our honeymoon in Coco palm dhuni kolhu and it still feels surreal. The nature and surroundings are simply breathtaking, such a wonderful break from the fast pace work routine in the hometown. Excellent resorts, excellent service. I recommend for families, couples or who loves the nature. We stayed at the Lagoon Villa for four nights with all inclusive, service was amazing, as a complementary they gave sunset cruise tour, diving and massage. Housekeeping cleaning is fabulous, they will clean your room two time per day. They provide both European and Asian cuisine at the main dinning cowrie restaurant with many live station and food are really delicious. All the staffs are polite, friendly and very helpful, especially hostess (Nepal lady from cowrie restaurant), Abul (Bangladesh waiter from sunset bar) and also all the waiters. Our stay was pleasant, for sure in the future we will return again.

We loved our stay here. The staff were brilliant and so friendly. The views and water were stunning, every picture we took was a postcard moment.
We stayed on a first floor villa on land at the end of the island, villa 24 which faced the calmer waters. The walk back to the center of everything was around a 1000 steps according to our watches. So if you don't want to walk that far you best get a villa a bit nearer everything. Do download the Riu app as it will tell you what's on. We did a check before we got there. There was lots going on daily, fitness classes, bingo, Live music and DJ themed nights as well as plenty of quiet relaxing beaches to go to. No where felt too crowded or too empty.
The WiFi was good all around and they used same 3 pin and electric sockets as UK. The connection to the hotel involved a 35min domestic flight and a 15min boat ride after the main flight to MALE airport.

We've had the best holiday here ever last week. Rooms are amazing, location is unmatched and the staff throughout the resort are absolutely fabulous. We can highly recommend this hotel – the rooms were truly beautiful. Our cleaning man was named ——, and he was really nice to talk to. Everything was spotless, and he did an excellent job.
The island is stunning and well-organized in a way that makes you feel like there aren’t too many people around. There were some nice activities available if you’re into that. Overall, the atmosphere was peaceful, which was really lovely.
What truly stands out about this resort is the absolutely fantastic service and staff. The service was top-notch – the moment you sat down, you were immediately offered something to drink, plates were cleared away instantly, and the staff were incredibly friendly, always bringing a smile to your face. Our stay was definitely enhanced by how cheerful and welcoming everyone was, from bartenders and waiters to receptionists, dive instructors, trainers, and more.
We especially want to highlight the dive instructor ---, who made us feel very safe and was highly skilled at his job.
Additionally, the yoga instructor ---, whom we actually saw many times around the hotel, was always smiling and in a great mood.
From the restaurant, we would particularly like to mention ----. They were all so friendly, kind, and easy to talk to, and they were truly excellent at their jobs.
If we had to suggest one improvement, it would be to make the hand sanitizer dispenser more visible at the entrance to the buffet. There was sanitizer available, but people just weren’t great at using it – though, of course, that’s not the hotel’s fault.
The buffet was absolutely delicious! Normally, we’re a bit skeptical about buffets, but here it was fantastic. Even after coming home, we’re still thinking about how amazing the food was. Everything was always clean and tidy around the food, and there were so many delicious dishes – something for every taste.
All in all, this is a hotel we highly recommend and would love to visit again.

We had wanted to visit the Maldives for some time. An above the water bungalow, pristine beaches, crystal clear water; truly an idyllic setting a world away from big city life. We did a lot of research, and there are many resorts scattered across the many islands of the Maldives, but Kuredu seemed to offer everything we were looking for.
Getting here takes time and several flights from nearly anywhere is the world. Additionally the price of the flights, and the all-inclusive nature of the resort, will cost you several thousand USD. But you are hoping for the experience to be worth it.
Our experience wasn't all bad, and there were good things worth noting. The staff were wonderful. They were knowledgable and friendly, and did their jobs very well. The property itself is picturesque, modern, and offers all the amenities you could want. We even enjoyed the food at every meal.
The issues we had were with the management. The staff did the best they could, but some issues are beyond their control. There is so much garbage around the island that when you check in you are given a bag to collect it yourself. YOU are given a garbage bag and asked to pick up the trash around the island (They try to make a game of it and tell you that there will be a prize for the guest who collects the most trash each day).
As expensive as it is to travel here, and stay here, they look to squeeze more out of you at every turn. We had brought sunscreen, but ran out after a few days. We went to buy more from the shop on the island only to find that they charge $50 USD for sunscreen. This may be the best example of how Kuredu looks to rob you every chance they get.
When your day comes to check out, you don't get to decide what time you are leaving as it is dependent on the seaplane schedule. The night before we received a letter telling us that we are to depart at 15:00 the following day, but our checkout is at noon. You want to stay in the one air conditioned place on the island? In your room past noon? You can pay $30 USD per/hour.
You pay so much to travel to, and stay at the resort, the fact that they overcharge you for every little thing once you arrive really soured our experience.
We would not stay at Kuredu again and would recommend anyone looking to visit the Maldives to stay elsewhere.

My family and I had the privilege of staying at Kuredu Island Resort in the Maldives over Christmas 2024 and it was truly an unforgettable experience.
From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome with their warm hospitality.
The resort itself is stunning, with pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush tropical surroundings.
We stayed in individual garden bungalows, each featuring an outdoor shower and excellent facilities. From the front deck, the views were simply breathtaking. The sound of the waves each morning and night added to the tranquility, helping us feel relaxed and at ease.
The dining options were exceptional, with a wide variety of delicious dishes across multiple on-site restaurants.
Whether enjoying the diverse selection at the buffet or indulging in more intimate fine dining experiences, every meal was a treat.
While all the staff were fantastic, I’d like to extend a special thank you to Karan, who took great care of our accommodation and always ensured our favorite beverages were stocked in the mini-bar, and to Resma, who made our meal times so special with her attentive service.
The all-inclusive package was well worth it for the convenience and variety, but be sure to check with your travel agent when booking, as Kuredu offers five different all-inclusive options.
There’s no shortage of activities, from relaxing spa treatments to snorkeling and diving in vibrant coral reefs, to kayaking and paddleboarding in the warm, tropical waters.
We also enjoyed daily walks around the island—it takes about 45 minutes to complete the loop—and numerous swims in the beautiful sea.
For those interested in fitness, there’s a gym, and for golf enthusiasts, a driving range and 6-hole course.
Whether you prefer to stay busy or simply relax, there’s something for everyone!
One highlight of our stay was a boat transfer to the nearby Hurawalhi Island Resort, where we dined at the incredible 5.8 Underwater Restaurant. (Note: pre-booking is essential, and this experience is not included in the all-inclusive package.)
We also took advantage of the complimentary sunset cruise offered to all-inclusive guests, which was a beautiful experience.
Another great feature was the free Kuredu app (available for both Android and iOS), which you can download before or upon arrival. It allows you to easily book activities and explore everything the resort has to offer.
The service throughout our stay was exceptional, with staff consistently eager to ensure we had a flawless experience. It was clear they were dedicated to making sure all guests had a great time.
If you’re looking for a paradise getaway where you can unwind, indulge, and explore, Kuredu Island Resort is a dream destination.

I booked a stay at this property because it was the only one that accepted IHG loyalty points and what an incredible decision it was to call this resort home for five unforgettable nights. Even before we arrived, I was in touch with Shaan and Luca at the Dive Team along with Sravani and Prahbath in the Reservations Team. Their email responses were quick, informative, and kind, a telling sign of what we would experience upon arrival.
Pickup information at the airport was communicated clearly and the boat transfer was easy. We were even allowed to check into our gorgeous room early and loved meeting more of the staff, including General Manager Mark and Reservations team superstar Selena, at a members only cocktails night on the Thursday evening of our stay there. Every staff member greeted us enthusiastically and made us feel right at home.
Scuba diving with the dive team was by far the highlight of my trip. The boat crew fully prepared our gear, reminded us regularly about our safety checks, and even shared photos and videos that they took while we were underwater. We were able to see sea turtles, sharks, eagle rays, and even a sleeping nurse shark--what an incredible destination! If you can visit before 31 December 2025, try your best to take advantage of the Dive Program that Mark has created for diving enthusiasts.
Every employee at this property should be commended for their legendary service, friendliness, and professionalism. While I don't often return to the same destination, this property is one for which I would certainly make an exception.
It was a dream come true to visit the Maldives and stay with Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma—paradise on earth!

Disappointing Experience Despite a Stunning Location
We were really looking forward to our stay, mainly because of the hotel’s beautiful location and the stunning beach – and that truly was the highlight. The surroundings are well maintained and generally clean, which gives a good first impression.
However, that’s unfortunately where the positives end. We had booked an all-inclusive package, but quickly realized that many things were not actually included. It was especially frustrating to find that à la carte dishes were still chargeable, and the minibar came with extra costs, even though it contained the same drinks available during the day as part of the all-inclusive offer.
The buffet was repetitive and lacked variety, with food quality that did not match the standards of a resort in this price range. What stood out the most in a negative way was the service: while the staff was polite, they were extremely slow. Drinks took ages to arrive, were often forgotten, and even when the restaurant wasn’t busy, we had to remind them multiple times of our orders. Tables were never cleared, and we always had to ask for a clean one ourselves.
To make things worse, the activities offered at the resort were extremely overpriced, especially when compared to other resorts in the Maldives. Even though we repeatedly pointed out these issues to the staff and management, nothing ever changed. The hotel seems to lack any kind of system, structure, or quality control.
Bottom line: This hotel relies entirely on its breathtaking location. Everything else – from service to food to transparency about the all-inclusive package – falls far short of expectations. Not recommended for travelers seeking more than just a beautiful beach.

The island is beautiful with amazing views, but overall, my experience at Holiday Inn Kandooma was disappointing.
I stayed in a beach villa with two bedrooms, which was spacious and comfortable. The room itself was great, with a beautiful view and plenty of space to relax. However, the rest of the experience didn’t live up to expectations.
When we arrived, we weren’t offered any welcome drink—not even water. We asked for some and were told “later,” which felt unwelcoming. Meanwhile, we saw a full setup with drinks prepared for other guests who hadn’t even arrived yet. It felt like we were rushed off to our room without any proper welcome.
One day, while eating next to the swimming pool, we were told we weren’t allowed to eat there. This was frustrating, especially since it was a place where many other guests were eating. I came to this resort to relax, but the staff made it difficult for me to do so.
I was on a half board plan, and the food was good—lots of variety and tasty. However, the overall customer service needs a lot of improvement. From being told we couldn’t eat where we were seated to the lack of hospitality at check-in, it felt like the staff didn’t prioritize guest comfort.
I don’t think I’ll be returning to this resort, as the service really affected my experience, even though the island itself is beautiful.

Im sorry I am giving 1 star only to this resort, but the reason why I’m doing this is to raise awareness on the fact that they still engage with sharks feeding which it has been banned and illegal from 2021! Unfortunately I wasn’t aware of this myself and I went to one of their organised tour. Of course, I would be lying if I said that this wasn’t an incredible experience, but I would have never ever done it if I knew the harm that this activity does to those beautiful creatures and the environment they live in. Stupid me for not thinking this properly. If you are a nature and wildness lover like me please do not engage in this activity!!! I regret so much doing it.
For the rest, all the stuff at the resort is very nice and sweet. Ishaan one of the security guide is such a nice soul. The resort is very well looked after and has an amazing PADI diving centre. The location itself is not the most amazing one as being part of the south male atoll means that you are very close to the airport, ‘industrial’ areas and so forth. The buffet has plenty of choices and I would say breakfast is probably the best meal. The bbq nights are the best in terms of food. We had a water villa which was nice but in need of restoration. It’s just very unfortunate that they still engage with an activity that is illegal and harmful to the ecosystem. All in all if I had to come back to Maldives I would choose another place.

I have been to so many five star hotels. I have experienced their services. But holiday inn Maldives that is four stars gave me the same experience like five stars. Their staffs are very friendly and respectful. They look so happy doing their jobs. Without expecting a tips. When service are been rendered to us. I enjoyed the food a lot of varieties to choose from. Mostly breakfast and dinner. I can’t thank them enough for arranging my wife’s birthday from house keeper that decorated our room and miss Lyn that arranged our birthday dinner. It was a wonderful experience. Many thanks for all the staffs at Maldives holiday inn. I can’t fault them. Area of improvement, during breakfast and dinner the staffs working at restaurants feels overwhelmed with clearing of the plates and arranging of new tables for guest to sit and eat.probably they are short staffed. They needed more hands during rush hours.
Also the house keepers to per attention to little details in cleaning the trim when getting the rooms cleaned for a new guest. Like hairs at the bed side table. Also deep cleaning at the body of WC will be necessary. Other than that they are very good.
I want to point out one thing that has nothing to do with the hotel and staffs. The guest at the hotel when we visited made us very uncomfortable by the way they look at us because of our colour. I will prefer if they have a life guard staff stationed at hr beach area

Angaga Island truly is a remote tropical paradise. I stayed in the water bungalow which was very cosy and the ocean view was amazing.
In the restaurant I was served by Moosa Yousef who was extremely friendly and welcoming right from the beginning and I quickly became friends with him and he made my stay that much better.
Everything from the sea plane to checking in was very smooth and effortless, I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a high quality tropical Maldives resort.

Overall I can highly recommend visiting Angaga. The island itself looks better in real life than on the pictures, it is a true paradise with turquoise water and perfect beaches. Even though during our stay the occupancy rate was 100%, we barely saw the other tourists and most of the time we could enjoy the beach for ourselves. The island is also well maintained, I cannot say anything negative about it. Same counts for our water bungalow, we were in the old "cheaper" ones and they are totally sufficient. It is amazing to enter the perfect water from your own bungalow. Why only 4 stars? I wasn't a big fan of the food, it is very plain and doesn't match the high standard of the resort. I wish they would serve more local food, rather than copies of European dishes. But this is very subjective, my girlfriend enjoyed it. However, we both agreed that the cocktails tasted terrible, the worst we ever had. No offense to the bartenders, they cannot taste their own creations. But that made the all inclusive package pretty much worthless for us.

This is the hotel we chose to go for our honeymoon. We got recommened to this hotel by chance as they said that this hotel was the best place for experiencing the real nature and sealife. They were absolutely correct. Even more than what we could imagine. The hotel itself had great hard-working staffs who were always standing by and accommodating. I can sense that they tried to keep as much natural and human-being as possible from having nothing but sea, beach, and trees. Apart from that, we got to bring it by ourselves. It may feel strange for the starter as we got too attached to technology and comfort from the city, then, you will get used to it later.
Second, as spoken by the name itself, this was really a safari of infinite amount of sea lives with widespread of species. We made a correct decision to spend some amount of money to buy the full day tour on the boat where we can do snorkelling in many unseen lagoons and enjoy living our lives again in the sea. We found sharks, Manta ray, Eagle ray, Sting ray, turtles, and a lot of fishes which we have not seen before in our lives with very close range to them. How often that this can happen in most of people's lives?
In order to manage all of this to happen, we would like to really thank to the 3 boat crews (S-9 Ship: Sarim, Imraan, Nabeen) who were absolutely the best in their work. We learned a lot from you!! You guys made our trip complete!!

Unfortunately, I can't recommend Safari Island. We had a bungalow in the immediate vicinity of the diving centre. Unfortunately, we couldn't use the terrace at low tide because of the stench of faeces. We were told at reception that the stench was caused by the low tide and the fact that the house reef was exposed. Unfortunately, the stench was only in the last four bungalows. You can also tell that nothing was done to the bungalows during Corona. What a pity. Worth seeing were the nurse sharks that gather under the restaurant. The food was typical for the Maldives in buffet form, as expected. It is difficult to walk around the island as some of the bungalows are close to the water and therefore there is hardly any beach to walk around. We recommend the one-day boat trip, which was included in the price when booking the island before Corona. Here you have to pay a lot of money...but still unforgettable moments. It takes a lot of imagination to say that the reef is recovering. In places you can find one or two corals that are doing well. But unfortunately it feels more like you're snorkelling over a coral graveyard. In my opinion, 80 per cent of the reef is broken .... unfortunately. This is certainly due to the climate, but also to the guests who simply trample over the reef. There are fish, and with a bit of luck you might even see an eagle ray, nurse sharks and reed sharks.

Tremendously beautiful resort. Situated in beautiful island which isolated from all the busy world will definitely take your all stress out. I was stayed there around 2 days and wish i can go back. But you have to pay additional for the sea plane, because sea plane is the only way to reach the resort.
Water villa's has breathtaking sea view totally worth every penny. Each villa has under glass sea view and rooms were very clean and tide, room service were amazing and fast.
Sea resturant was the main restaurant and menu is little different and lot of choices. Food was delicious. Staff were very friendly and discipline. I will defiantly come again

Villa Nautica is a beautiful resort. Most of the staff are friendly abd always greeting you when they see you I want to make a special mention about the spa. I had a massage done by Sinchoo it was really lovely. She is definitely an asset to Villa Nautica. I found the treatments a bit too pricey though. The photographer Firudos was really good. He did not just take pictures but helped us create memories. To the lovely Hostesses at the restaurant who so warmly welcomed us at every meal Thank you. Most of the restaurant staff where great . A special thank you to Anwar who made our room very comfortable and clean. Helping me when I locked myself out of the room lol. The entertainment was also fun .This was a really lovely relaxing time away . We will definitely be back.

My husband and I have stayed here for 4 days, and it was truly an exceptional experience from every perspective. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, the food was delicious, and the service remained flawless throughout our stay.
We stayed in the Beach Pool Villa for 2 nights and it was stunning, peaceful, beautifully designed, and perfectly maintained. The genuine hospitality, cleanliness, and kindness of every staff member we encountered made the experience more special.
A special mention goes to Mahdi, our island host, who assisted us with everything. He was very helpful and met all our needs and concerns.

I visited this place for 4 nights with my wife and a 1.5 year old kid. My experience was amazing. Resort is beautiful, views are amazing and staff was really helpful. Food was good as well. Best thing was in villa dining for infant food, which really eased feeding our baby and elevated our experience.
I would highly recommend this resort, especially if you are traveling with small kids.

The views are incredible the suite we stayed in was the best with direct views of corrals and number of fishes to look for great for that best for snorkeling
However, the service experience at the Lagoon Restaurant could use some improvement. service persons were noticeably less courteous and seemed disinterested, which stood out against the otherwise impeccable hospitality throughout the resort. That said, this was a minor hiccup in an otherwise outstanding experience.

I stayed at Villa Nautica for 5 Days and 4 Nights. My experience at this place was surreal and just amazing. Starting from Speed Boat Transfer from airport to Hotel was very Smooth and staff was really polite. The host given to us was Alsaba who helped her with our queries for all 5 days and what a splendid job she did and was a thorough professional. Also a special surprise of a Wine and room decoration was done for us being the Honeymoon Couple. The stay at the Villa with Sunset view with private pool was so spacious and amazing. Loved the stay there. The buffet had so many options during all three meals of the day. We did one trip to a local island which was really good as well. The stay for last 3 days at Water Villa was really good as well. I highly recommend this place for every age group.

I had the pleasure of staying at this incredible resort with my family, marking our second visit after many years. The outstanding experiences here are what keep bringing us back.
Below is my review based on our recent stay:
Check-in/Check-out Process
The entire process, from the airport to the sea-plane and boat transfers, was flawless. Right from the arrival boat transfer, the staff recognized and warmly welcomed our family.
When we reached the resort, Jully greeted us personally and even addressed us by name, which made us feel truly valued. She walked us through the resort and updated us on its latest features. As returning guests, we were delighted to receive a bottle of red wine as a special gesture.
The check-out process was equally seamless. Resort representatives were present at every transfer point to ensure everything went smoothly.
Villa
We stayed in a standalone beach villa facing the north. The villa was spotless, cozy, and well-maintained. Its excellent soundproofing ensured a peaceful stay, with only the faint sound of waves breaking the silence. The air conditioning was powerful enough to keep us comfortable during the hottest days, and the bed was incredibly comfortable.
While items like shavers, toothbrushes, and vanity kits are not provided by default, we were well-prepared, knowing this is a remote island resort without a mini-mart. However, they can probably be obtained from the housekeeper, too.
The villa’s location was perfect, with a snorkeling reef exit just a short walk away and a stunning beach right in front. The turquoise waters were mesmerizing, and the occasional sight of sea planes landing and taking off added a unique charm.
House Reef
Like many reefs worldwide, this one has experienced coral bleaching due to global warming, especially in the warmer shallow waters near the beach. In 2014, I remember vibrant corals and abundant marine life, including stingrays and blacktip reef sharks, closer to shore.
Now, the vibrant corals and diverse marine life are mostly found at the reef drop-off, where the water is cooler. During our snorkeling adventures, we encountered a variety of colorful reef fish, blacktip reef sharks, eagle rays, and even a sea turtle.
Food
We chose the full-board package and enjoyed all our meals at the Funama Restaurant. The food was outstanding, with a different international theme every day. We were spoiled for choice and particularly loved the curries and Maldivian-style dishes.

We visited the beautiful Vilamendhoo Island and spa sometime ago and we absolutely loved everything about it...
The only way to describe it is, it is very luxurious.
The sea plane was a lot of fun and a great start to the holiday.
We stayed on an all inclusive basis for 2 weeks.
The food was incredible from the morning till late. The food preparation was faultless and we could see a lot of skill went into this.
We stayed in a garden room villa, by the sea and enjoyed chatting to the guy who raked the sand early each morning, he often climbed the trees to fetch us a fresh coconut! We loved the open air bathroom where we felt connected to nature.
I was happy that there are no spiders or snakes on the Island!
We enjoyed the luxurious spa and the short walks to the Asian Wok restaurant.
The excursions were brilliant. We decided to take a boat trip to a local Island, this was so educating and gave so much insight into how the local Maldivian people live. We experienced the sunset cruise, very romantic! and we were taken to Robinson Crusoe Island, this was probably the best part of the holiday for us.
We visited in the last week of August, first week in September and the weather was hot. We did have one cloudy day with light rain but this was quite refreshing.
The two swimming pools were lovely, we especially liked the pool in the center of the Island as it was surrounded by palm trees and we had it to ourselves most of the time.
We enjoyed kayaking around the Island and seeing the marine life.
If you are considering visiting this Island, do it, it is faultless and a place you must experience.

The resort is just amazing, everything I espected and more: white sand, clear and warm water. It has a house reef with many colorful fishes, rays and sharks where you can swim every time you want. Even from the vilas you can always see fishes. They have also excursions (snorkeling or diving) to see the manta rays, the whale sharks and the turtles.
The food was every single day very good, I was quite surprised. All the staff treat the guests so kindly, that make you feel welcome and at home. Thank you to all the staff, specially to our waiter Thao.
It was an amazing experience and I definitely want to come back :)

We had a wonderful week on Vilamendhoo last week. We are a couple with a baby boy (1,5 yrs). We selected this island because of the house reef, hidroplane transfer and its detailed homepage.
We had a standalone beach villa on the north side with a great view.
The island is very nice when it comes to the vegetation and the number and sort of fishes in the water.
I had just one small disappointment with the turtle excursion starting time. It was at 14:00 in the printed materials but it started at 9:00 thus I did not have the chance to join.
Also it would be nice to have a kids corner with supervision to have some free time without the baby. Babysitting service possibility was not mentioned during the checking process.
The staff however made great job continuously. They did their best to make the vacation unforgettable. Special thanks to Ibrahim, Shiyaz, Suchulu and Phamila in the restaurant, Ayaaz who kept our room clean and also thanks to the barist in the Boashi bar.
It was a really great vacation!

This was our first trip to the Maldives and we loved everything about this resort. It's said to have one of the best house reefs in the Maldives and it definitely exceeded our expectations. The amount of sea life was beyond amazing - sea turtles, rays, sharks, eels, and thousands of colorful fish. We spent much of our time snorkeling and saw something new each time. Please use reef safe sunscreen and take care not to damage the coral in order to keep this reef in pristine condition. We stayed in a jacuzzi beach villa which was only steps from the water. The room had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Because of our room, we were able to eat in the adults only restaurant which is a buffet for all meals. We found the food to be exceptional and varied. We were very pleased. There are 2 a la carte restaurants. We did eat at Asian Wok for one meal and it was also amazing. We sat waterside and watched the fish as we ate. We chose to do all inclusive which for us was a great option. I'm already looking forward to returning.

I may be fashionably late with this review (October 2023 vibes), but Komandoo Island Resorts and Spa delivered one of the best vacations ever. From the moment you step off the plane (yes, that pricey 15-minute propeller ride at $200 a pop), the staff greets you with a full-blown, drum-beating song and dance—complete with a recording for posterity.
The island’s intimate size encourages a carefree, shoes-off atmosphere that my wife and I fully embraced. Every meal—from breakfast to dinner—was a culinary delight, and the daily activity schedule is packed with options (so check it beforehand!). Marine enthusiasts will revel in the abundant snorkeling opportunities, though don't forget to bring your gear. Heads up: this is an adult-only haven, so it’s tailor-made for a grown-up escape.
If there's one hiccup, it’s the lack of pre-arrival scheduling details, which meant missing out on a chance to swim with manta rays. Still, with top-notch service and an all-around vibrant vibe, Komandoo is a must-visit for anyone craving a truly spirited getaway.

We enjoyed our stay here. Staff members are super nice and caring. Buffet food was good and we were fed well. Views are nice and plenty of water sports to choose from. We saw a lot of fish without the need for snorkeling. A lot of privacy and quiet time here. Best vacation so far.

> Seaplane terminal was very nice, if you have a Priority Pass you can go to a different lounge to the one they assign you - 40 min journey to Komandoo.
> Wholesome welcome - they greet you with a lovely song and iced tea and ice cream and a cold towel. We stayed in a Water Villa which is on the opposite end of the island from the main venues, so get ready to get your steps in if staying in one.
> Bars to drink - excellent selection of all sorts of drinks on the plus package no need for gold package (unless you want named brands). The bartenders were more than accommodating with requests. There are 2 bars, the main one near the main restaurant and the one on the other side of the island near the Water Villas which we loved, and most of the time we had it to ourselves like our own private beach. You have an extensive list of cocktails, mocktails, soft drinks and hot drinks.
> Food - One main venue for all 3 meals which is buffet style... it had SO many options, the lunch and dinner themes changed every day making it very varied. There is a live cooking section for grilling fish and meat but also a live pasta station which sometimes changed depending on the cuisine (changed to noodles and rice on 2 separate days whilst we were there). There is also a fresh naan bread section outside made to order in a tandoor oven daily in the evenings! There is also Aqua restaurant once a week as per our package which really was a treat, the menu really was on the finer dining side and didn't disappoint.
> Don't bring shoes! I brought 2 pairs of heels and wore neither. The resort is made for barefeet, bring comfy flip flops if anything.
Activities - you won't get bored, there are activities put on for you everyday, such as: cooking class, crafts, fruit carving, sushi making, cocktail making and more!
> Snorkelling - bring your own snorkel or be ready to rent! The island is surrounded by coral, many types of fish and reef shark, you might even spot a turtle if lucky!
> Gym - We used it 4 times in the week we were there, it has all you need and is a decent gym for a hotel gym.
> Really pleasant team who were all super friendly, from the ground staff, to house keeping, to admin, to bar staff and the restaurant staff, thank you for a great stay.

> I will say my only regret was coming in August... the weather was mostly unpleasant, really loud storms during the night (and sometimes in the day too) making the villa, bed, tv and furniture shake. The staff are all very friendly, attentive and helpful. A huge thank you to our room attendant Mahmud who went above and beyond for our room and made our room picture perfect everyday!! The staff at our buffet were spectacular too specifically Delawar who was extremely nice and looked aftered us everyday! The staff really make a world of a difference. Just for this I am looking forward to coming back in the future!

My stay at this resort was awful. It’s a profit-driven operation with minimal regard for guest experience.
The layout is a mess—too many villas spread over three islands, but only the main one has proper facilities. The other two are nearly useless, and reaching anything requires long, crowded shuttle rides. Staff have free rein of transport while guests wait endlessly.
Worse, everything depends on a buggy, mandatory app. From booking meals to requesting service, you're stuck relying on a glitchy system that barely works.
Dining feels like a scam. Restaurants show as fully booked on the app but sit half-empty, reserving spots for all-inclusive guests. As a bed-and-breakfast guest, you’re treated like a second-class citizen, pushed toward bad, overpriced room service via the app.
Most staff seem indifferent or rude, pushing upsells with fake smiles unless you're complaining. Only one waiter stood out for decent service.
It’s clear management prioritizes squeezing money over providing value. The vibe is tense, the food is bad, and I’ll never return to this chain. Do yourself a favor—choose a resort that actually cares

San Siyam Oluveli is located in a truly stunning spot — surrounded by crystal clear blue waters and a pristine beach, it feels like a peaceful, far-off island escape. The natural beauty around the resort is breathtaking and adds so much to the overall experience.
During our stay, we spent some time at the Lagoon Bar and had a lovely experience there. The vibes were amazing, especially in the evening – very calm and peaceful, with great music that put us in a slow, relaxed mood. It gave off that perfect laid-back beach bar feel.
A special shoutout to Alisha from the staff, who took excellent care of us. She was warm, pleasant to talk to, and incredibly friendly with our toddler son – her kindness really stood out. Overall, we had a great time at the Lagoon Bar!

My husband and I just returned from a week holiday at Sun Siyam Olhuveil to celebrate my birthday. We had the most incredible holiday from start to finish. the resort is beautiful and has plenty of pools / beach access. Food and drink options are plentiful you have Thai, Italian, Indian cuisine plus may more options to choose from. We really enjoyed being able to sample all the restaurants at lunch / dinner, my husband and I dread going on an all-inclusive and being stuck with buffet options for breakfast, lunch and dinner but not at the Sun Siyam, we had an array of restaurants to choose from for both Lunch and Dinner options. The resort also offers plenty of activities from Paddle boarding to Kayaking. We were offered a complimentary Dolphin cruise & excursion to the main island. The Dolphin cruise was a wonderful experience! When we returned from the cruise, I had a
a gorgeous birthday cake and room decorations waiting for me it was really touching and emphasised how special this resort is.
The staff are all very attentive and helpful a very big thank you to Raail, who was our island host, he was very helpful at all times and ensured we had a wonderful time. A special thank you to Manisha VA the housekeeper, who does a fantastic job and would visit twice a day to ensure our room was always clean and tidy.
If I had to provide constructive criticism; the resort would benefit from a few more sun loungers this is partially due to people reserving them all day long. Which is no fault of the resorts but mere how people conduct themselves. I would like to emphasis however, when this occurred my husband and I would find any alternative pool / beach area as the resort has 3 islands you can pick from.
We had the greatest time, I shed a tear when the staff waved us goodbye at the end of our holiday. This place is truly wonderful, we are really looking forward to returning in the near future. A huge thank you Sun Siyam for allowing us to have a holiday of a lifetime.

Second time to Maldives and this resort is fantastic. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean comfortable and large. We are in over water villa with private pool and love it. All the food we have is spectacular and tasty. All inclusive and the under water scenery is mind blowing, so much sealife, even swam with a turtle 🐢

Great house reef for a resort that can be reached by speed boat ! Really enjoyed the snorkelling experience.
The speciality restaurant, the Grill, was really nice and staffed with good communicators.
The only negatives were few staffs in the buffet restaurant and the quality of the buffet. Most of the staffs at the buffet restaurant was nice and friendly, especially the guys in the kitchen, but some of the waiters on busy time were forgetful and not very polite. As for the quality of the food, you get what you pay for, but it does get a bit boring after a few nights.

Maldives are such a paradise! Everything was amazing, from the Indian ocean to the white sand, beach and unbelievable friendly staff which have made our stay unforgettable.
We stayed in a Lagoon Villa which was always clean and the housekeeping have shown us their best sides.

Unfortunately, the food was not really on a high quality level. From all the islands I have seen before in the Maldives, this was on lower level. Almost every day the same. The grill restaurant was amazing. So it’s a big difference if you eat à la cart or on the buffet. Valentine’s Day, the buffet was great.so the potential is here…
The other days the Buffet was notis not really satisfying.
Some parts of the island could be decorated with more love.

The hotel is new and offers a pleasant atmosphere. The housekeeping service was very good (at least twice per day), making our stay comfortable. We had a nice time with the complimentary paddle and kayaking, both of which were enjoyable, and snorkelling (70USD) added a fun element to our trip. The views from the hotel were quite lovely, enhancing our overall experience.
I also appreciated the food at the Thai and Italian restaurants, which provided enjoyable dining options. The spa services were relaxing, and I would recommend trying them out.
There was a downsides to our experience. I found that the communication app could be improved for better user-friendliness. With a few tweaks, the hotel could make the experience even better.

We had a pleasant stay as a family of eight at Centara Mirage Lagoon. From the moment we arrived and departed we were warmly welcomed by Khun Nutcha, whose kind and genuine smile made us feel immediately at home as she introduced us to the resort. Khun Geniga was also very hospitable and took the time to show us the shark area and resort tour which very delightful . Khun Rejina stood out with her friendly attitude and excellent service mindset. We were also very pleased with the overall hospitality provided by the front desk, bell staff, buggy service staff, Housekeeping staff (They are very friendly and always greet us as we walked pass and they always make sure to keep our rooms clean after we left the villas) and lifeguards (They are very friendly and always looking after us while we in the water) all of whom contributed positively to our experience. Khun. Nutcha, Khun.Geniga and Khun Rejina, They are the 3 shining gems of Centara Mirage Lagoon. Thank you very very much.
However, we believe the Food & Beverage service could benefit from further improvement.
At Suan Bua, the head chef demonstrated exceptional attention to detail and personally greeted us at the table. The Thai dishes he prepared were authentic and reminded us of home a true highlight of our stay. One of the Thai male service staff at Suan Bua was also very kind, attentive, and helpful. Unfortunately, the service provided by the two Thai female staff did not meet the same standard which quit disappointing . The senior Thai lady service staff did not even have any interaction with us but she goes to every table accept our table during the dinner for 2 days at Suan Bua. Their interaction was very minimal, and they did not offer the same level of warmth or even very basic courtesy such as saying thank you or a smile and have a hard tone of voice which was disappointing and inconsistent with the otherwise excellent service throughout the resort.
Regarding the layout, while the resort is marketed as walking-friendly, the hot daytime weather made walking difficult. We had booked four pool villas, but due to full occupancy, our group was separated two on the sunset side and two on the sunrise side ,which made coordination more challenging as we travel with our 70 years old Grandma. We relied heavily on the buggy service, but at times, we experienced long wait times exceeding 30 minutes, not including the additional delays while waiting for responses through the resort’s app.
We understand the high occupancy may have strained the buggy availability, but we would like to recommend that the resort consider providing bicycles for guests, especially those staying in overwater villas, as they are located quite far from the main facilities. This would significantly improve accessibility and guest satisfaction.
In summary, we truly appreciated the warmth and professionalism of many team members, especially the front office and culinary team, and we hope to see some improvements in F&B service and transportation logistics in the future.

Overall this is a decent hotel for families with kids with highlights and lowlights based on our experience below.
What we loved:
- Kid-Friendly Rooms: The room is fitted with bunk beds which is a huge plus for families with young kids
- Easy Access: The hotel is 45-minute boat ride from the airport, skipping the need for a seaplane.
- Fun for Kids: The kid activities and pool are a definite highlight
- Delicious Thai and Italian food at the respective restaurants (recommend to opt for a full board)
- Being a new hotel, everything is very clean and well-maintained.
- Amazing Wildlife: We were lucky enough to spot eagle rays, blue spotted ribbon tail rays, stingrays, crabs and sharks to name a few. We discovered thriving reefs with plenty of sea life just outside our villa (tips: swim and snorkle the area outside over water sunset pool villa!)
What could be improved are mainly services for the guests and food at buffet restaurant
- long wait for the boat: we waited for 1.5 hours at the airport for the boat to take us to the hotel.. which was a bit much
- Breakfast buffet could use more variety and better-tasting options. Also, the flies were a bit of a nuisance
- Buggy service wait time was a little long especially when staying in a pool villa. Walking in the heat wasn't ideal.

We had an amazing week, beyond words. The buffet is definitely a highlight: very high quality and diverse food, we looked forward to it every day. Especially the cake section, and the different cuisines!
The house reef is not great but I knew that before booking - the snorkeling excursions more than make up for it, on the nurse sharks and turtle ones we were taken to some amazing reef nearby. The ocean centre staff goes above and beyond to make sure they find you that sealife.
We also got to see plenty of marine life from our deck, sting rays, eagle rays, black tip sharks and jellyfish. We stayed in a sunset ocean villa and it was absolute perfection, it has a net where I spent many hours looking at the water. We tried the pool villas as well, but much preferred the original ones which involve less walking, feel closer to the water and just look gorgeous. Also loved the yoga pavilion, the gym and the massages.
Spent a lot of time researching resorts and I chose Veligandu mainly because it seemed to tick most of my boxes, and it did - small size to not feel crowded and walkable everywhere, amazing food, gorgeous beach area, a range of activities and excursions, beautiful ocean villas, and reasonable price for what you get.
Overall an amazing stay I will remember for the rest of my life, thank you for all the experiences!

It’s unfortunate that I have to give this rating, but based on the issues we experienced during our stay, I have no choice but to rate this resort one or two stars.
Regarding the buffet-style meals, the dining area was outdoors, and large flies were swarming over some of the dishes. When we picked items that flies were particularly attracted to, they followed us to the table and persistently hovered around us throughout the meal, which completely ruined our appetite. At this price point, I expected much higher standards of hygiene.
The seaplane transfer arranged by the resort from Malé to the resort was delayed by 40 minutes without any notice or explanation. There was no apology for the delay.
Similarly, on the return trip from the resort to Malé, the seaplane was delayed again. After checking out, we were told the flight would be delayed by 40 minutes, but we received no further updates or instructions during that time. In the end, the departure was delayed by 70 minutes, and we were genuinely worried that we wouldn’t make our international flight. Once again, no apology was offered.
While we were assigned a personal staff member after arrival to help with various matters, the only communication method available was WhatsApp. We don’t use WhatsApp and requested to communicate via email instead, but were told that wasn’t possible. In comparison, even taxi drivers in places like Bali are prepared to use multiple communication platforms like WhatsApp, WeChat, KakaoTalk, or LINE.
Email communication was also unprofessional. When we inquired about our seaplane departure time after making the booking, the reply didn’t include the departure time and instead was a long, unrelated message that left us frustrated.
While the facilities were clean, likely due to recent renovations, and there were some positive aspects, I find it hard to believe this resort receives so many five-star reviews given the poor service we experienced. Considering the high price, I would recommend looking into other options instead.

Our stay at Veligandu is absolutely amazing. The island is easily accessible by seaplane from Malé within a short flight and truly feels like a dream island. The three restaurants (one buffet, two à la carte) and the two bars offer top-quality food and drinks, complemented by exceptionally friendly staff.
There’s no shortage of leisure activities, including fitness, padel tennis, pickleball, excursions, table tennis, billiards, water sports, and spa treatments — ensuring plenty of variety and entertainment. Almost everything can be conveniently booked via the hotel’s user-friendly app.
Depending on the location of your villa, the walking distances might be a bit longer, but the hotel staff is always available to provide transportation via golf carts upon request. The newly renovated pool villas also stand out for their exceptional quality and comfort.
A special highlight is the personal guest host (in our case, Naaif), who is always reachable via WhatsApp and provides outstanding service. Need different gym opening hours? No problem — the next day, they were adjusted just for me. A different pillow? Medication for seasickness? Everything was handled promptly and with incredible efficiency. The room service (Ahmed) was also excellent, ensuring a perfect stay.
A great tip is to upgrade to the all-inclusive package, which covers many paid activities, drinks, and access to the à la carte restaurants at no extra cost.

What a beautiful trip it has been, our Maldivian paradise! We visited Mercure Koodoo and were mesmerized from the very first time we set our foot in the property, we forgot all about our hectic travel & all the tiredness was gone in a second! The staff, Kyle, Raushan , Madina & Kesnia were fantastic & their hospitality was absolutely commendable! From the warm welcome at the airport to a heart full of memories- goodbye, the service was impeccable! We were so impressed with the level of comfort and attention to detail the staff had. Great attitude. Helpful and always available, taking us around in a buggy, having conversations about the place & our stay in general! We solit our days between sunset beach villa with pool and sunset overwater villa with pool, the rooms were clean, spacious & the views?! Absolutely serene & mesmerising!
On arrival, we got to know that the resort had given us a complimentary photoshoot, we were so thrilled to get clicked & take back a memory from our trip, Amir clicked such beautiful pictures of us that instead of taking 1 picture from him, we ended up taking 10!!
An absolute special mention to Chef Selva, who ensured that we ate to our hearts content, he made special vegetarian dishes for us every single day, for every single meal! still dreaming about the pumpkin curry that he made. While he made the most delicious meals for us, the sweet smiles & kindness with which Ali and Mamun served us was truly remarkable! They made sure that we had absolutely wholesome meals everyday! One day we just asked if they had masala tea & they didn’t, the next day Ali & chef Selva ensured that we get masala tea every single day for breakfast!

Our honeymoon at the Mercure Resort on Kooddoo Island in the Maldives was the absolute pinnacle of romance and relaxation! We wanted a truly special and unforgettable experience, and this island paradise delivered beyond our wildest dreams.
The staff were so attentive and helpful throughout our stay and we felt very looked after. Our villa by the beach was a dream come true – the panoramic views of the Indian Ocean and the luxurious amenities created an atmosphere of pure bliss. It was the perfect sanctuary for our honeymoon.
The dining experiences were exceptional. We particularly loved learning how to Cook Maldivian and Sri Lankan curries with Selvakumar. The variety and quality of the cuisine were outstanding, and we appreciated the resort’s attention to detail.
We spent our days snorkelling in the vibrant coral reefs and relaxing on the pristine beaches. The marine life was breathtaking, and the crystal-clear water was perfect for exploring. The sunsets were simply magical, creating a romantic ambiance that we will never forget.

Everything at this wonderful resort was top notch! Everything starts with a dedicated and courteous staff, and they were all so nice and attentive - Selva, the Chef at the buffet, Aman, our housekeeper, Nicholas, the dive master, Christina at the dive shop. A few names I unfortunately can't recall, but the bartender, the DJ, the front desk staff - they are all wonderful!
The food was EXCELLENT, which was an unexpected surprise, as this is an all-inclusive resort. The variety, quality, taste and presentation of all the food was outstanding.
Our accommodation (water villa with pool) was superb and well maintained - very clean with comfortable bed and linens, and a large bathroom with soaking tub and separate shower. The sunset views from our pool were stunningly beautiful.
My wife went diving twice and the dive team is very profesionnal and make you feel safe. We also went on the Sand Bank excursion, which I recommend - snorkeling was like being in a huge aquarium with a variety beautifully colored fish - we even saw a leopard shark!
The main pool is expansive and lovely. This adults only resort is one of the best all-inclusive ones we've been to. We will most likely visit again, and we highly recommend it!

Reethi Beach Resort is set on a truly stunning island – lush greenery everywhere, soft sand you can walk barefoot on, and a gorgeous house reef full of marine life like reef sharks, hawksbill turtles, and even octopuses. Nature lovers will really enjoy the setting.
The staff were one of the highlights – everyone from waiters to bellboys and cleaning staff were polite, welcoming, and genuinely warm. The chefs were especially kind and happy to chat, and the food was fresh and high quality every day. Also great to have free access to gym, tennis, and badminton. For those looking to dive or enjoy water sports, there’s a well-equipped (but paid) diving and water sports center on site.
However, there were a few things that affected our experience. The rooms were very dimly lit, with barely any natural light, and unfortunately, the air conditioning unit smelled extremely bad (attaching a picture). It was working, but the odor made it very unpleasant.
Transportation was another issue – despite being the only guests traveling that day, we spent half a day just waiting due to poor organization. On our last day, although we were approved for late checkout, our sunbed was removed early in the morning, which felt a bit rushed.
Finally, there was no proper introduction to the island or its activities – you're left to discover things on your own, which can be frustrating for first-time visitors.
Overall, a beautiful island with amazing staff and nature, but a few service and facility issues stopped it from being a perfect 5-star experience.

We had the most incredible holiday at Reethi! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. We were fortunate to stay in a water villa, which was simply breathtaking. While the resort is due for a refurbishment at the end of this month and could use a bit of TLC in places, it honestly didn’t affect our experience at all. The rooms were spotless, the food was delicious, and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect.
If you’re looking to escape to a stunning, natural island, this is the place to be. The snorkelling on the house reef was out of this world—we’ve never seen such a vibrant array of marine life. We’ve visited other islands in the Maldives and always enjoyed ourselves, but Reethi has a unique charm that truly sets it apart.
The atmosphere is wonderfully tranquil and rustic, and the staff are some of the friendliest and happiest we’ve ever met. Huge thanks to Kokki, Uelly, Mohammed, Alex, and the entire Reethi team for making this such a memorable trip. We’ll definitely be returning!.

The resort boasts stunning natural features and exudes a barefoot vibe throughout. The coral reef is in exceptionally good condition, with a fascinating array of wildlife! The bars and restaurants are excellent as well, though the main restaurant is dominated by Indian flavors. An excellent choice for a quiet and peaceful retreat.

Exceptional Stay at Reeti Beach Resort – A Perfect 30th Anniversary Celebration
My wife and I arrived at Reeti Beach Resort on the morning of February 16th to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. From the moment we took the seamless seaplane transfer from Malé, everything was flawlessly arranged.
We stayed one night at the Beach Villa and two nights at the Water Villa. Both accommodations were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The turquoise waters just outside our villa were breathtaking, making the experience even more magical.
As strict Jain vegetarians, we were initially concerned about food options, but Chef Rajesh went above and beyond to curate delicious meals tailored to our dietary needs. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, and the flavors were simply outstanding. As a special gesture, the resort also arranged a complimentary anniversary dinner at a separate restaurant, which truly made our celebration even more memorable.
We opted for the dolphin cruise and sunset cruise, and luck was on our side—we had an incredible experience. Additionally, the resort offers a professional photoshoot service, and Mr. Mohammad Shiham from Studio 7 did a phenomenal job capturing our moments beautifully.
The entire property was impeccably clean, to the point where footwear felt unnecessary. Opting for the all-inclusive package was a great decision, as it allowed us to enjoy multiple bars without any hassle. Our departure was just as well-organized, ensuring a smooth experience right until the last moment.
Reeti Beach Resort exceeded our expectations in every way, making our anniversary celebration truly special. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an unforgettable and luxurious getaway.

A beautiful island hotel consisting of 3 small islands. Only one of the islands is inhabited. Lunch is served on Wednesdays on one of the other two islands. It has a beautiful sea and a lagoon. Be careful not to harm the stingrays while walking in the sea, this is also important for your own health! Please do not harm the corals! Sometimes you can also see harmless sharks. It is also a good spot for diving, you can swim with sharks. The hotel's rooms are well designed and comfortable. Swinging in a hammock is very relaxing in the evenings. Food was diverse and delicious. The staff were respectful and friendly. You can reach here by boat from Male in about 1 hour.

The resort staff picked us up from the airport, they were very friendly and everything went smoothly. During our stay we got hit by the sun and were ill for a few days. They took very good care of us and made sure we were comfortable and happy. Thanks to everyone in this regard. The food was great and healthy. There were many activities to do and many things to discover. We caught the full moon days and had the opportunity to watch the low tide which continued into the early hours of the morning. The room was always very clean and there were nice bed decorations several times during our stay. The island was clean and very well maintained. We could walk barefoot anywhere. The restaurant was beautiful and the staff very friendly. I would definitely recommend and stay there again.

I just got back from Maldives, and already miss everything about this resort. From Male Airport to the Resort it was well planned and smooth ride. Check in was efficient and all facilities were clearly explained. Villa was well clean including amenities and nicely decorated bed and room.
Even though I Do not know how to swim, I felt safe during Guided Snorkeling. Guide Ali gave lots of attention and supervision to make sure the experience was enjoyable.
Discover scuba was a extraordinary experience and instructor was patient and supportive on my first try.
Food options for Vegetarians and Vegans. Quality of fresh fruits was just delicious!

Had a wonderful experience for a week's stay. Did reef snorkeling and swimming with dolphin with the dive centre coaches who were very fun people. This island is very close to nature state, walking on sand everywhere and the trees provide the shades. Sunrise and sunset and moonrise can all be seen here. The villas were maintained the same state as it was built over 30 years ago, yet the in room facilities are up to date (large TV, air condition, mini bar, WiFi around the island). There are 2 virgin islands across to walk/kayak/paddle board over to enjoy more nature. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Beach is very clean. Last but most important, the food here is my greatest delight. I looked forward to every single meal time. Good buffet variety, delicious and cultural food, esp their very good pastries. Thank you, Rihiveli staff, for making this wonderful experience happen!

Rihiveli is a paradise! We spent here one week with a 2-year old and 11-month old and always felt safe and welcome. The entire team did a great job, always helping us when we were too busy with the kids. Special thanks to all the restaurant staff and dive center staff for taking such a great care. The island is unique, the setting is unique. We had a beach bungalow which was perfect for the whole family. The cleaning service was twice a day, the food was superb!! I do not know what more could someone expect from life when coming to this amazing place. Kudos to the team, you are great! And as for the previous french owners, well, we talked to a random staff, telling us they were not paid for months!! The island is in great hands, with the best team. Also talked about future renovation, which will not be affecting the facilities, only maintaining it. Coming back as soon as possible. Also to mention - the atmosphere on the island is special, because people coming here are mostly ones who return every year, as they know why. It s a place you cannot find easily anywhere!!
