Our third visit. A fantastically situated resort, just a 45 minute boat transfer away from Malé airport. Rooms are great, restaurants provide lovely food and the service is superb. The staff are incredibly courteous and helpful. We had both a beach cottage and a beach villa, both great rooms (although the cottage bed was a tad firm!) We continue to visit as it’s a short journey from the UAE and, most importantly for us, the Dive Center offer of stay 3 nights or more and enjoy 2 complimentary dives per day. The dive centre staff are amazing. Professional, helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. The dive sites are varied, easily reached and provide an amazing look into the bountiful wildlife on the reef. Shaan has a great team in Luca, Sam, Moose, Eddie and the boat pilots. A big thanks to Mahlee, Selena and the front desk team for looking after us so well and to Renuka for taking care of us at the beach bar so perfectly. Look forward to another visit soon.

Overall a great experience. The entire resort was extremely clean and well maintained. Room service was frequent and responsive. This resort was reasonably priced compared to the other ones nearby. We were also really happy with the service of the maintenance and staff. In this aspect, I wanted to mention the name of Bala who provided us with excellent service during the dinner buffets. The buffets were also quite good as they had a wide selection of dishes from various countries of the world. We booked one of the overwater villas for our honeymoon and were deeply amazed at how beautiful the ocean views were from the villa. Would definitely visit again when we get a chance.

Wonderful stay with exceptional service We had an amazing stay at Holiday Inn Kandooma Maldives. The resort is beautiful, well maintained, and offers a perfect blend of relaxation and fun. The beaches are stunning, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the overall atmosphere is very peaceful. I would especially like to appreciate Bala for his outstanding service. He was extremely helpful, friendly, and always made sure we were comfortable. His positive attitude and willingness to help truly made our stay more memorable. Thank you to the entire team for such a great experience. I would definitely recommend this resort and would love to visit again!

We stayed at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma for 10 days for our honeymoon, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We had an amazing time from the very beginning. The beaches are absolutely beautiful and very well maintained – perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning surroundings. The entire island feels clean, peaceful, and like a little paradise. The food was excellent with a wide variety of options every day. There is something for everyone, and everything we tried was delicious. The service in the restaurants was outstanding. We would especially like to praise Bala, who was incredibly kind and attentive. He really made us feel welcome. But honestly, the entire staff was fantastic – always friendly, smiling, and helpful. The housekeeping team did a wonderful job as well. Our room was always perfectly clean and well prepared. The reception staff were also very professional and supportive whenever we had questions. Last but not least, the water sports team was amazing! They were very helpful and put so much effort into making our excursions exciting and special. A special thank you to Husain – he was the best and made our experiences even more memorable. Thank you to the whole team for making our honeymoon so special. We would definitely love to come back one day!

Well what can I say? We didn’t know what to expect when using our IHG reward points on a Holiday Inn resort in the Maldives, however this place was fantastic. From amazing rooms (79 - ocean view beach house), beautiful calm waters for snorkelling and brilliant staff who looked after us well. After 6 nights we truly didn’t want to leave and have started pricing up a visit for next January! Although all staff here ensured we had the perfect stay, we have to give some special mentions - Ibrahim who kept our room spotless each day, especially having to cope with the amount of diving / snorkelling gear we brought with us. Yoosuf who ensured we always had a table at breakfast or lunch in the buffet, with a cup of tea or wine at the ready 😊 Ravindra, Renuka, Ajay and Roshin who always ensured we stayed hydrated at the beach / pool bars 🍹Rabina who provided great service at lunchtimes at the pool bar and Bala for making the best cosmo cocktails in the Sunset bar, a perfect tipple before an evening meal. We paid 2 visits to The Kitchen restaurant during our stay (included on the AI package) and Donna was extremely attentive on both our visits. A final shout out goes to Maleeh who provided us a personalised welcome to the island and ensured we were fully looked after and happy during our stay. We have visited the Maldives 4 times now, each a different resort. We recommend Kandooma for those looking for water sports fun, good diving spots (lots of turtles, eagle rays and sharks), snorkelling, varied food options and a family fun atmosphere. My partner is the diver and said the team and dive locations were phenomenal. Dive prices were reasonable for the area, however if we had gone standard AI (not used IHG points) the diving would have been included. Something for dive fans to consider when looking at this resort. For info, Kandooma is close to other islands that can be seen (one local island is having construction work), however this didn’t impact our stay.
