The staff were friendly and helpful, always greeting us with warm smiles and making sure we had everything we needed. Their hospitality truly made a difference and made us feel very welcome. The food selection was impressive, with a good variety catering to different ethnic tastes. No matter what you prefer, there is always something delicious to enjoy. One of the biggest highlights of this resort is the fishing experience. They offer both sunrise and sunset fishing trips, as well as private chartered boats. The absolute selling point is that the chef will cook one fish you catch for free, prepared beautifully and incredibly fresh — a truly unforgettable experience. Overall, Holiday Inn Kandooma is a fantastic choice for a Maldives getaway, especially for those who enjoy fishing, great food, and warm hospitality. Highly recommended! 🌴🎣

The resort is beautifully located and with excellent arranged transportation from the moment of arrival at the airport. Good selection of food and beverages. The beaches and swimming pool are stunning. Our main reason to visit was the scuba diving, and with two complementary dives per person for stays of three nights or longer this was for us the decisive factor. The diving school was of one of the highest standards we experienced diving abroad. The staff was excellent and made each dive accessible for different levels in experience and comfort. We brought our own equipement, but their equipment is in excellent condition and everything is super organised and taken care of. For us definitely a reason to come back!

Our holiday was fantastic, thanks to some standout team members. A huge thank you to Shain at the diving center for an excellent and patient lesson. As beginners, we felt completely safe and confident under his instruction. And a special mention for Selena for her incredible dedication and warmth. Her personal care was unforgettable. She even waved goodbye until we were out of sight! That is what makes this resort so special. Thank you both for making our experience so memorable.

A Memorable Family Retreat at Holiday Inn Kandooma Maldives Our stay at Holiday Inn Resort Kandooma Maldives was an exceptional experience that exceeded our expectations as a family-oriented getaway.​ Accommodation Excellence: The rooms at this resort were absolutely superb – impeccably clean with a wonderfully positive vibe throughout. What truly impressed us was their commitment to sustainability, evident in thoughtful touches like glass drinking water bottles and herbal shower gel. Whether we stayed in the garden villa or water villa, both accommodations were exceptionally well-oriented and maintained to the highest standards. The spacious layout and attention to detail made each room feel like a private sanctuary.​​ Exceptional Staff Members: I must give a special mention to Fathooh, an outstanding local staff member from the island who works in security. He is an absolute gem – his extensive knowledge of marine life is remarkable, and he captures stunning photographs that help preserve your vacation memories. Fathooh goes above and beyond to be helpful and genuinely makes every guest's stay memorable.​ A huge shout out to Ismail from Kandooma Cafe, who took extraordinary efforts to organize baby food for my toddler – his thoughtfulness and attention to our family's needs truly made a difference. I also want to recognize Nurjoom, Bhupati, and Santosh for their excellent service and warm hospitality throughout our stay.​ Dining Experience: The Kandooma Cafe, while offering decent survival food, unfortunately didn't quite cater to Indian taste buds as we had hoped. That said, the desserts were delightful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the Maldivian night platter, which showcased authentic local cuisine.​ However, I must mention that Chef Soby was very arrogant and severely lacks customer-facing skills. His attitude was disappointing and stands in stark contrast to the otherwise warm and welcoming staff at the resort. This is an area that management should address to maintain the resort's reputation for excellent hospitality.​ Overall Impression: Holiday Inn Kandooma Maldives is an excellent choice for families, with overwhelmingly helpful staff throughout the resort and impressive end-to-end connectivity. The resort successfully balances family-friendly amenities with the natural beauty of the Maldives, creating a welcoming environment where guests can relax and create lasting memories. Despite the dining challenges, we highly recommend this resort for families seeking a well-rounded island experience with genuine hospitality from most team members.​

We spent 4 nights as a family at the Holiday Inn Kandooma at the beginning of December and it was brilliant from start to finish. The pool was beautifully clean, ideally designed with gravitating depths to suit all abilities and well heated. The ‘kids eat free’ initiative was well received and suited us perfectly. The food was plentiful and there was something for everyone. As we requested, we had interconnecting rooms which were serviced daily and kept impeccably clean. However what stands out most about this hotel is the true hospitality of all staff members. Everyone was so welcoming, kind and helpful and the colleagues at breakfast in the mornings soon learnt our coffee order without us even having to ask. Whilst all staff were wonderful (too many to mention) the shout out star has to be Maleeh, the resorts guest experience champion. What a true gem, easily contactable, kind and genuinely wanting his guests to have a great stay. I can wholeheartedly recommend this resort as perfect with young kids and we can’t wait to return.
