We stayed in Veligandu for a week and it was the best holiday we've ever had. Everything was thought out to the smallest detail. It has an incredible atmosphere and smiling staff. Especially Julia helped us a lot in every way. I also wanted to thank her from here. The food was perfect, the chefs were great and I have a sensitive stomach and it didn't bother me at all. The diving team was also perfect. It was a great experience. I definitely recommend it. We stayed in the ocean villa, the view was beautiful and the cleaning was very good. Thank you very much to the whole team for this great experience. And also many greetings to my friend Shujau.

I have to rate this stay 4 out of 5. We did a last minute booking and ended up on a boat transfer from MLE to the veligandu resort. My wife is pregnant and it was a really bumpy ride to the resort and we were never offered a seaplane which is hard to understand when there’s only 20usd price difference. I would say it’s a lack of attention from the hotel staff not offering the option especially with a pregnant lady. We stayed in the overwater ocean pool villa and apparently the AC shuts off when the door to the balcony isn’t locked. We were both so tired after the long flight(s) that we ended up asking the butler to come and check the AC and fell asleep, but there was no response until the next day and basically we felt suffocated because of the heat and had a horrible nights sleep for the first night. Next day we fixed the problem ourselves as we realised the door was just closed and not locked but it would have been great with some assistance from the hotel staff. Last complaint is from the flies on our room! We asked for pest control 3 days in a row due to the amount of flies in the new villas! Imaging paying so much money for these fancy villas and having to deal with flies everyday. It’s beyond my understanding that we were never offered any other room available at the resort, it’s just unacceptable if you ask me for the money you are paying. Also the hotel staff never apologised for the inconvenience. The resort is beautiful, newly renovated, food is amazing, house reef is nice too. We saw sharks, manta rays, turtles etc Gym is also great and has good staff

It was perfect vacation in my life ever before. The manage team was well organized and they feedback all the things very quickly. And all the staffs are so kind that we do not have any annoying things. The room was so clean and neat. Beach is right below our room, so we can snoculing by ourselves easily. Even though we don't have own equipment, ocean center has borrow it. It was really great experience with my honey, and I'll revisit later.

We had an amazing week, beyond words. The buffet is definitely a highlight: very high quality and diverse food, we looked forward to it every day. Especially the cake section, and the different cuisines! The house reef is not great but I knew that before booking - the snorkeling excursions more than make up for it, on the nurse sharks and turtle ones we were taken to some amazing reef nearby. The ocean centre staff goes above and beyond to make sure they find you that sealife. We also got to see plenty of marine life from our deck, sting rays, eagle rays, black tip sharks and jellyfish. We stayed in a sunset ocean villa and it was absolute perfection, it has a net where I spent many hours looking at the water. We tried the pool villas as well, but much preferred the original ones which involve less walking, feel closer to the water and just look gorgeous. Also loved the yoga pavilion, the gym and the massages. Spent a lot of time researching resorts and I chose Veligandu mainly because it seemed to tick most of my boxes, and it did - small size to not feel crowded and walkable everywhere, amazing food, gorgeous beach area, a range of activities and excursions, beautiful ocean villas, and reasonable price for what you get. Overall an amazing stay I will remember for the rest of my life, thank you for all the experiences!

Amazing place! Really loved this resort. Not too big, not too small - just right. Beautiful rooms, stayed in Sunset Pool Water Villa - spectacular is the word. Large, superbly designed interior and large sun deck with large pool. Food on the island was also a high point, especially the Raalhu restaurant that delivers an amazing experience from atmosphere to food to service! Also had a unique experience literally swimming with both Manta and Whale Shark - on the same excursion!
