⭐ ZERO STARS — Truly Horrible Experience at The Park Central I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but my stay at The Park Central was so awful that I feel obligated to warn others. Our room was extremely hot, and the air conditioning didn’t work. When we went to the front desk for help, they said maintenance would come “right up.” We waited over two hours, and no one ever showed. When we went down again to follow up, the woman at the desk didn’t even lift her head to acknowledge us — she just said “okay.” There were no towels or soap in the bathroom, and a giant hairball left in the trash. The heat made me physically ill, and our room phone didn’t even work to call the front desk. We ended up booking an earlier flight just to get out of the hotel. On checkout, one kind employee finally spoke to us and confirmed there was no record whatsoever of our complaint in the system. That was the final insult. I paid over $700 per night for this room and expected at least basic hospitality. Instead, it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had — disorganized, unhygienic, and completely unresponsive staff. Avoid this hotel at all costs. Zero stars if I could give them less.

The Park Central hotel is decent, but it has some drawbacks. The lobby is really nice, and there is a restaurant in the lobby. It is rather quiet all things considered, and it is located in a somewhat safe area. A Starbucks and a deli are within a minute walk, and they are really good! In addition, a subway station is a 2-3 minute walk away - servicing the NRWQ Yellow line. The rooms are pretty typical, but there is no mini fridge, microwave, or tea/coffee maker. There is ice and an exercise room available. The rooms have some damage, but housekeeping is a daily occurrence. Be aware that there is a $40 surcharge because of a stupid “destination fee,” along with your typical $300 surcharge for damages. Overall, if you think it is good for the money, it wouldn’t be a bad place to stay. If you are looking for something nicer, stay somewhere like the Plaza and not here.

During our stay in New York, we chose once again to stay at the Park Central Hotel – and that’s no coincidence. Two years ago, we stayed here as well, mainly because of the perfect location close to Central Park and the subway station. Everything is within walking distance, which makes it very convenient. What truly makes this hotel stand out, however, is the hospitality of the staff. Carolyn, who works at the front desk, welcomed us warmly once again. Two years ago, she already helped us greatly with an administrative issue (which was not her fault), and this time she immediately recognized us from back then. Her personal touch and friendly service made us feel right at home. We would also like to mention the lovely lady at the breakfast shop, who greeted us kindly every morning. Everything here is well organized, and the team really makes a difference. Before we even booked our trip back to New York, we already knew one thing for sure: we would stay at the Park Central Hotel again. And that’s largely thanks to Carolyn and the rest of the team. Highly recommended!

Wonderful overall experience in the perfect location! When I walked into this bustling hotel in the middle of NYC, I was immediately welcomed by the front desk employee named Carolyn. She was expecting me as my friend had already checked in. I was taken aback by her attentiveness and hospitality. The fact that she knew who I was and gave me her beautiful smile was so unexpected. She got us into our rooms quickly and referred us to the concierge to figure out what show we were going to go to. The concierge recommended an incredible show, and we felt he knew everything. It was fantastic to hear him explain what each show was about! Another thing that stood out was the cleaning staff. They work so hard and maintain such a friendly demeanor, always checking in and saying hello. They exuded such light and energy which goes such a long way even in the smallest interactions. At the end of the trip, we saw Carolyn again and she wanted to know everything we did and if we had a good time. I really want to say thank you to the Park Central Hotel, and especially Carolyn, for a personal experience.

The only great thing about the hotel is its location. But be mindful that it is extremely noisy in the room due to traffic, horns, and sirens. The hotel itself is filthy. The restaurant behind the front dask has stained furniture and floors. I had to ask to change the room because the original room was so stinky and filthy. In the bathroom you can find mold in the sink in the bathtub.
