This is a very centrally located hotel and was convenient to the sites and subway. However, that is about where it ends for the benefits of staying in this hotel. We stayed Dec 20-24, and reading the other reviews we had level set expectations. We also acknowledge that we paid a lot less for this hotel than others in the area over the same dates; so we knew going in it wasn’t going to be the best experience. At the end of the day, I would never stay at this hotel again and strongly consider others to think about doing so. I can look past the tattered window shades, etc… but what I think are basic items for a successful stay- the temperature of the room and hot water- are things that did not deliver on this stay. Our room seemed to be in a “heat only” mode- and our room was like a furnace! It was extremely uncomfortable and there was no way to cool the room down- we had the thermostat set at 65, and the heat was constantly on. Also, hot water is a scarcity in this hotel. The elevators are a HUGE issue- sometimes waiting over 30minutes to get on an elevator. Many times we chose to walk down or up to our room on the 18th floor. At the end of the day, it was a good thing that we were out most of the day enjoying the sites; but what is supposed to be a respite from exploring the busy streets, this is not that hotel.

If you are taking a trip to see the city, this is the perfect location! Centrally located to all th must sees. We walked most everywhere from the hotel. Ubers and taxis were also readily available and super easy to use. The rooms are small but perfectly comfortable. We honestly didn’t spend much time in them anyway. The elevators were fast enough. The staff were extremely helpful and kind. The restaurant wasn’t the best in my opinion. The area has tons of other options. Right down the street was a little Irish pub and it was delicious! Get the New York strip sandwich for sure! Thanks again Park Central for a great trip!!

To start: it is an older building. The lobby is really pretty and inviting and the lounge was nice and warm. The elevators were either working or not working throughout the duration of our trip, so do some back workouts to prep if you’re bringing g a stroller (the stairs are wide at least, so there’s a plus). The staff was really sweet and you can tell everyone is trying their best to make it a positive experience. We are a military family who have stayed in many TLF’s so we’ve seen some really crappy rooms, and these were not that. Was the door in the bathroom peeling from the bottom? Yes. Were there hairs in the bathroom that didn’t belong to us? Yes. Was it the end of the world? No. Ask for the extra towels because 2 is not enough, especially with a baby. The housekeeping staff was really sweet and accommodating, especially with a baby and poopy diapers. The room was spacious enough to fit the pack and play and stroller and not feel crowded. Overall the hotel was really nice and we enjoyed our stay here. I would recommend doing a once over with a Clorox wipe if you want to bathe the baby in the tub, but like I said, you can tell a lot of effort is going into making this a positive experience for people staying here, but it may not meet those with high standards. We didn’t have any bugs or any hideous experience, but it’s also not a 5-star resort, so keep that in mind as well. It was a nice hotel and the location was perfect for what we needed.

From the moment we checked in the hotel was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful with basic questions all the way to providing dinner recommendations. The night before checking out, we had spoken to a member of staff regarding a good spot within walking distance to pick up pizza after a long day of sightseeing and he gave us his personal go to place rather than one of the more popular well know spots nearby. And it was great. The room (double queen) was very spacious and clean. Our room package included a breakfast option - coffee/water/juice, choice of pastry and a choice of fruit. All of which tasted wonderful. The hotel is easily walking distance to both Central Park and Times Square, as well as tons of shopping and amazing restaurants. Parking is off-site at a garage recommended by the hotel, and is discounted after being validated by the front desk upon checking out.

Cannot beat the location. I found all the staff to be friendly and attentive and it was at a VERY busy time: 12/22-26/25. The room was nice and clean. My only suggestion is please add more light or lamps to the room. Only 1 light overhead when you enter and then only 2 single small table lights - one on nightstand, 1 on desk. Had to use my phone light to navigate room, look in my suitcase, etc. Otherwise no complaints, nice establishment.
