Hospitality Excellence Under Pressure – Park Central Delivers with Grace I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 40 years, and let me tell you—it takes a lot to impress me. But Park Central Hotel not only impressed me, they truly earned my respect. I stayed here on business during a particularly challenging time for the hotel: they were transitioning their entire reservation system, which was unexpectedly down for three full days. This kind of disruption can be catastrophic for guest experience—but the staff handled it with the kind of grace, professionalism, and resilience that is becoming all too rare. Despite the circumstances, the front desk team remained calm and composed—even when facing entitled and at times, downright rude behavior from guests who refused to understand that technical issues were beyond the control of the agents. Frankly, I found myself wishing I could step in and remind people what patience and kindness look like. A special shoutout to Brian in Sales, who was an absolute rock—steady, proactive, and sincerely committed to making things right for everyone involved. The housekeeping staff kept everything spotless and cheerful. The bell staff was helpful, welcoming, and never let the chaos behind the scenes touch the guest experience. Everyone wore the stress well, without ever compromising the guest-first attitude that defines true hospitality. This team turned what could have been a disaster into a case study in poise and professionalism. My highest compliments to the entire staff for a job beautifully executed under extreme pressure. If you’re considering a stay at Park Central, rest assured: you’re in exceptional hands.

I paid for 2 double beds and they put me in a 1 King bed room. They said they had nothing else available and it was that or nothing and it was 11:00 at night so I had no other options. I asked for extra blankets and pillows because my daughter had to sleep on the floor. They had no extra blankets and only a sheet and a couple of pillows. If that wasn’t bad enough the shower didn’t work. You had to hold the button to make the shower head stay on. I first asked for a refund for the difference between the 2 bed and 1 bed room but they refused. After all of the other issues I asked for a full refund and that was also refused. The best they could do was refund me the $40 resort fee. I will never stay there again.

I’m beyond disappointed with my experience at Park Central. I prepaid for my stay in full back in March, totaling $1,742.60. Despite this, I was charged again after my stay—as if I never paid - an additional $1,390.94($1,742.60 - $351.66 credit for all of our room issues)—bringing my total to over $3,100. I was assuming a $351.66 REFUND for the issues (see below) and I never authorized these charges and have been trying to get a resolution for six days now. I’ve called and emailed repeatedly - every staff member I’ve spoken to has given me the runaround, claiming that only one person, Patricia in accounting can issue a refund—but I’ve never spoken to her, and she’s been completely unreachable. It’s absurd that an entire hotel can hinge a refund on one person who doesn’t respond to emails or calls. To make matters worse, the room wasn’t even what I booked. I paid for a two queen room and was given a two full-size room instead. The bathroom had a strong mold smell, and we had to wait an hour after check in time for “our room” that was not ready. I’ve provided extensive documentation of all my charges and communication, and yet no one has followed up with assurance or resolution. It feels like no one at this hotel cares once they’ve gotten your money. From my end, this looks like fraud. Do yourself a favor—stay far away from this place. You risk losing your money, your time, and your patience.

We spent over three hours in line just to check in. No apology, no explanation—just chaos. It’s obvious the hotel is severely understaffed, and it made what should’ve been a smooth arrival incredibly stressful. While a few staff members were genuinely helpful and kind, others seemed completely indifferent, which made things worse. To top it all off, the rooms are dated and in need of serious upgrades. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone who values their time and basic hospitality.

There was no fridge or coffee machine in the room and there was no food room service. We were there for four nights and the room was not cleaned once. We had to request towels each day. There was no handset for the phone and although we requested one it never came. The elevators were a big problem, each time we wanted to go downstairs there was a long wait. When we left we were informed there was a “resort fee” of $40 a night. The very nice people at the desk reduced it by half when we explained about the phone, towels etc. but I was very disappointed in the housekeeping. The rooms were quite clean when we arrived and the beds were comfortable The bathroom was fine. Nice shower. Location was good, very central with a Starbucks on the corner.
