The room is a decent size for the price you pay but the bed can be small for someone who is a bit taller. The location to the subway, bus stop, ferry, and surrounding area for food and events is great. The staff support when checking into the hotel was also helpful, unfortunately the self check-in did not work so I had to go to the front desk. Your mileage may vary on this. The biggest complaint I have with this hotel is the elevators as everyone else mentions. Of the 10~15 uses of the elevator only one time did it take less than 10 minutes to get on and that was at checkout time. Overall, I think it's a great hotel but I'm unsure how they could improve the elevator situation.

I’m a Hilton member and stayed in various Hilton hotels across the State. This one is the worst among all other hotels. It is really expensive and not worth the money. They are charging only for the location. The elevator situation is worse, most of the time we used stairs. If you get a room at 44th floor, good luck to you!! The check in and check out is the hardest part because of the luggage and the elevator is always full. Even at 12am when we were checking in we had to stand on a line for 10min to get into the elevator. The corridor is really narrow. Once it was blocked by the bedding storage. Room was below average. Worst as compared to other Hilton hotels. Lighting was poor. With this price I was expecting at least a mini refrigerator. Instead the coffee maker was defective and there was not even 2 bedside tables. The sensor light in the bathroom was dysfunctional and turns on when you don’t need it and turns off when you need it. Only good part was the staff who were nice and helpful. I would not go to this hotel again.

The hotel Associates were exceptionally welcoming to during the check in process. In fact, I think they were some of the nicest people that we talk to well in NYC. The bathrooms were clean. The room was clean. I didn’t encounter any noise from other guests etc. We enjoyed our stay, for the night.

We’ve stayed here twice in the last 10 years; Great location close to Wall Street, Joe’s Pizza, South ferry & Bowling Green subway lines; plenty of restaurants & coffee nearby; the staff were exceptionally helpful to us, even finding a piece of rope so that my brother could tie together all his various surfboard belongings. The Cityview rooms on upper floors have fantastic views, though slightly cramped; the elevators are kind of a nightmare with people, clicking both the up and down buttons on various floors, but that’s more the fault of the passengers than the hotel. Photo show views from the top floor 44th.

I loved this hotel, but I can't 5 star it because the elevators are completely inadequate for a building of this size. It isn't uncommon to wait 10 or more minutes to catch a lift to your room. It's still the best deal in downtown. Our room has a direct view of the World Trade Center. Beautiful.
