I recently stayed at Hotel Edison and had an incredible experience! From the moment I arrived, the front desk staff made me feel welcome with their warm and attentive service. They went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed, offering great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. The hotel itself is beautiful, with elegant decor and a charming ambiance that really made it feel like a special getaway. Its location is unbeatable—just steps away from Times Square, so you’re right in the heart of all the action. Whether you’re visiting for business or pleasure, Hotel Edison is the perfect place to stay for both comfort and convenience. Highly recommend!

With the recent renovations, the rooms have been refreshed and modernized. Just make sure to get a Signature room, there are still a few not updated yet. The staff here is great, and location is central to everything, especially for first timers! Right off the high energy of Times Square. Friedman's restaurant is great for all day dining, and has great options for those needing Gluten Free meals. We loved the throwback to the 20's design and murals in the entrance and lobby as well.

Lovely hotel. It's very busy here. But it has a great Rum bar playing live music. And two restaurants that are also part of the hotel. One of which you can get your garb and go breakfast.
All the staff were super friendly.
Across the street is a roof top steak restaurant and bar. Also right on top of Times Square. Cheap and cheerful club on the same street too. Called Woo woo...I would definitely consider staying here again.
And yes there is a $40 service charge per day. (Everywhere does it. Seems you can't avoid it)

The Edison is the epitome of ok. The hotel is in a fantastic location, if you’re visiting for a show. But so are lots of other hotels. The art deco styling is minimal, but appreciated. Otherwise there is nothing that makes the Edison stand out.
The rooms are a good size and clean. The beds comfortable and the sheets just a little scratchy. They are also pretty characterless. And hot - everything is set to 75 degrees regardless of how you set your thermostat.
The lobby blasts upbeat music at you in a bid to make you feel like it’s…the past? The service charge certainly isn’t. The mandatory $45 for two bottles of water in the room and a “grab and go” croissant and coffee from a nearby eatery tests your patience, as do the scrolling ads for discounts mentioning the Edison in the elevators.
Look, it’s fine, ok? It’s not bad. It’s safe, clean and a place to sleep. Just don’t be falling for any “character”, and watch out for that additional fee.

My family and I stayed at hotel Edison two weeks ago and our experience was lovely . Room was clean most importantly . I thought the front desk staff was friendly . checking in /checking out was easy. They held our bags because we arrived early at 8am and didn’t want to pay early check in fee ( expected all hotels have early/late check out fees ) they have security monitoring who is going up the elevator to the rooms so you have to show your room key . Which is s good thing . Doorman were all friendly and accommodating .
