Every one was very helpful and very friendly. The food was delicious The resort was spacious, nicely decorated .
The landscape was filled with luscious green palm trees. The pools was strategically placed . Their was something for adults and kids. The best thing for me was that I fell asleep without any discomfort. They had the best bed that I have ever slept in when I am away from home.It was so comfortable . The room had a view of the ocean and the courtyard. Seeing the sun rise was so beautiful. If anyone is looking to relax and have fun then that is the place to visit. I will visit that resort again for the bed and the location the ambiance food and most of all their staff.

Overall resort can be best described as mid.
Service - The staff were generally friendly. Knowing a little Spanish helps.
Food - One common issue is lack of flavor, but being a resort they do have to appeal to as many palettes as possible. One exception is Vivace the Italian restaurant. Certain places had one or two dishes or a dessert that was good. Breakfast did not have vast amount of options like other resorts, but the omelettes were great. Coffee spot at Roots had friendly staff but seems like they don’t have much experience.
Facilities - Our room was large and clean, toilet flushing takes time or multiple flushes. The resort is a bit older. Pools were clean. Wish the resort had a bit more activities or advertised the activities outside of the app.
General Tips: The road to the resort is terrible when it rains, would not recommend renting a car if you’re trying to get to this resort use a shuttle. Spas and certain other services may have some discounts when you get to the hotel, so wait to book.
Overall a decent hotel but you may find other resorts with better food and a beach (but maybe smaller rooms) for a lower price.

Hyatt Ziva has a lot they are doing right. The food is great. The facility is on point. The service is outstanding when they are available. The areas they could improve is staffing level and more umbrellas. I don't want to detract from the staff on this. Once you get to them they are pleasant and genuinely seem to want you to have a good time. Just not enough staff to meet the number of people.. The price i paid I honestly don't think was equal to the experience. I paid too little. They could charge far more, and with a small adjustment be on par with the Hyatt Ziva in the hotel zone. No, you won't get the beautiful beach that you get in Hyatt Ziva hotel zone, but the rest is close. Unfortunately, Hyatt Ziva in the hotel zone has gotten so expensive it no longer has the appeal it used to. The rest of my trip I'm spending at another resort. I'm not going to share unless someone asks, it does have a proper beach at half the price of Hyatt Ziva Cancun and the beach is awesome.

This is a beautiful resort. It is close to the airport and is well maintained. Food is very good, especially the French restaurant which, surprisingly was our favorite.
I can see why some of the comments from other reviewers are less than stellar, however, my experience is that once identified, the resort works with the guest to have them resolved. Thanks to Thomas, Jacqueline and Abraham for going above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay.
The staff were amazing, pleasant and friendly in our interactions.
This is a quiet resort, so if you are looking to party, another might be better suited.
Restaurants are open every other day, so be warned, but we never had issues finding something that was tasty and available. This is the low season.
The beach is under renovation, so closed, but even when reopened it will be limited. However, there are many beautiful pools which are well maintained, so it is never difficult to find somewhere to relax.
If you are looking for a quiet, relaxed stay, with good food, friendly people, and good amenities this might be the resort for you.

My experience at this resort was mixed.
Getting to the resort takes about 20 minutes from the main road, but be prepared – the road is filled with potholes that could seriously damage a small car, so I'd advise against renting one for this location.
On the bright side, the service and food were excellent. However, there’s no buffet option for lunch; everything is à la carte unless you opt for pizza or burgers at the pool bar. This setup means you could spend 1 to 1.5 hours on lunch, which cuts into time for enjoying the water and sun.
Another drawback was the lack of Spanish music anywhere in the resort. Staff explained that they can only play English music due to previous guest complaints, which felt like a missed cultural experience.
For families with young children, note that there’s no play area for kids under 2. You’re only allowed an hour from 9:30 to 10:30 am to use the play area before it’s reserved for older kids under staff supervision.
Beach lovers should also be aware that the beach itself has eroded from storms. While the resort did a great job of clearing seaweed from the shore, there’s still a lot floating in the water.
Overall, this resort has great service, but it’s a "one-and-done" experience for me. I’ll be exploring other options next time.
