Occidental was one of the most beautiful resorts we have stayed at in Mexico! The grounds are full of wildlife and stunning views, along with Mayan ruins! Service was great! If you go to the main buffet, make sure to ask for Ricardo B! He was by far the best on the resort! We made sure to see him each night we were there. Make sure you ask for a map and times for shows and store hours. Navigation throughout the resort can be confusing at first.

The hotel was great and the shows were awesome. We had a wonderful server named Yesenia. Yesenia Solis was magnificent at anticipating our needs. She was working at the Oriental (a restaurant in the hotel) and she was just amazing. She explained things clearly and always made sure we were happy with the food and service! Definitely would come again!!!

Our server Jorge Leon was amazing. He was very attentive and gave us great service. Always ready to help and take out order. He was so nice and helpful. 10/10 service. Even when it’s busy and the humidity is getting the best of them he always has a smile and is so nice.

Tonight at the Oriental restaurant I would give Bellita a 100/10 stars for her service and kindness!! She is absolutely amazing!
As for the service for our “all inclusive” amenities and the service of the operator line, I would give them a 2/10. We were told on the start of our trip that we could call to get wine, beers, and water delivered to our room whenever. Tonight we called and were initially being given the run around about who to call for that and were told that those items were not included with the all inclusive. Then we were told to call a certain extension where we were told those items *including water* would be additional costs. When we called the operator again we were met with someone who was a bit rude to us and was not helpful in getting us water delivered. Up until that point we were decently satisfied with the service at this resort but this experience really has us questioning if we will ever come back.

Daniel and Victor at the La Hacienda were outstanding servers for our final dinner at Occidental Xcaret. They were very friendly and did everything possible to make our vacation great. I hope they get rewarded for their great attitude and dedication to exemplary cluster service!
Diego at the lagoon buffet and Javier at the first club bar were equally awesome. They too made this experience worth returning to this resort. They too deserve recognition for great hospitality.
Lastly, Moses always make us feel so special and his constant smile and cheerful personality is what we look forward to every time we come here. He is a perfect example of how all your employees should act. He too deserves recognition for his obvious pride in his work and the resort.
