This resort was beautiful. Shout out to Leo, Paco, Naomi, Johny and Augustine for being so friendly. The swimming lagoon was beautiful. Loved the wildlife. The breakfast at the restaurants were delicious. The dishes at lunch and dinner were not very good. The shows were on too late at night, need to be earlier. You need an indoor air conditioned space for activities for when it is raining or just too hot to be outside.

**Review of Occidental at Xcaret Destination**
Occidental at Xcaret Destination is a great choice if you're looking for a resort with plenty of pools, a good beachfront, and a large property to explore. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. One of the best aspects is the proximity to the parks—all within walking distance, which is super convenient.
However, there are a few downsides worth mentioning. The resort has two different sides, and if you book through Expedia, you might notice a difference in how you're treated. They do offer a vacation club, but thankfully, the sales pitch isn't too pushy. The food, though, was a big disappointment. It was mostly basic American dishes, and if you're expecting authentic Mexican cuisine, you'll be let down—they get an F in that category. If you're able to get a good discount, it's definitely worth a visit, but I’d recommend passing on the food options.

We stayed at the Royal Level again and let just say the staff makes it worth the trip. Alberto Cajun is amazing and such a pleasure to be around. The other staff and manager are great too. Daniel, Samuel, Maximilluno and Raquel thank you for a special trip. The dinner menu needs some work but the staff makes it all better thanks again. Also have to mention Javier the bar tender who we have come to know over the years and is very special

My family and I stayed at the Royal Level Suites. It had been an amazing experience overall, for both adults and children.
On our last night, my husband and I had one last meal at the Royal Restaurant. We had an amazing performance by Gilberto whom made a yummy Banana Flambé. He was funny and made the experience fun. The staff, including Pamela, Francisco, Ambrosio & others, were great and offered attentive service.
Thanks for helping to make our time here at the Royal Level memorable!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Occidental Resort in the Mayan Riviera, and I must commend the exceptional service provided by Carlos Marquez and Ricardo Be. From the moment we arrived, both Carlos and Ricardo went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Carlos's attentiveness and kindness were truly remarkable; he was always available to assist with any request and went out of his way to make us feel welcome. Ricardo was equally attentive and caring, and it was a pleasure to get to know him and the rest of his team.
Santiago’s service at the steakhouse also stood out; his attention to detail and the outstanding quality of the food made it a must-visit. Joana’s leadership skills and the attentiveness of her team were exceptional, all demonstrating a genuine passion for providing amazing service.
A heartfelt thanks to Carlos, Ricardo, Santiago, Joana, and the entire team for making our experience so special. Their dedication to guest satisfaction truly enhanced our stay at the Occidental Resort.
