We loved the customer service the 9 days that we stayed with the whole family! The workers were very friendly and remembered our names! Especially Julio at the snack hut by the big pool! He made us laugh and had great conversations when we asked him for information! We preferred the snack hut for food, the pool and outstanding service! Besides great service the hotel has great pools, even with swim up bar, it has a swim cove with a private beach (great for kids) fun activities for everyone! The tropical setting and animals were also so amazing!! Plus, we booked our trip to Chichen Itza and Tulum (with centers) at the hotel and it was safe, convenient and high quality! We do wish they offered better quality food but all the friendly service made up for it!

Alberto, Samuel, Maximile, and Raguel at the Royal level restaurant were incredible. By day 2 they had already memorized our favorite drinks and food preferences. Our group of four felt so welcome and taken care of by these gentlemen. This was our 4th time here and the service at the Royal restaurant was exceptional every time. If I had to say anything negative it would have to be that the recent change to the dinner menu was not something any of us enjoyed. We loved the nightly themed menus from 2 years prior and the absolute best menu was in 2020 and 2021. Overall ALL the staff at this resort are very friendly and make your enjoyment their priority. Rooms are clean and well kept every day with a great turndown service by the ladies.

Roman is really cool. Great server. Gets to know you and has a great attitude. We found him at the snack bar which is much more than just a snack bar. The drinks were flowing and the food was great. Awesome first 30 minutes experience. I haven't even changed out of my canadian clothes yet... great so far.

It’s is our 4th time at Occidental as members with Barcelo and you all never disappoint us. The resort is amazing and beautiful. We absolutely love it here from the minute we get off the transport van , to check in , restaurants and waiters , pool and beach bartenders ,spa and room cleaning services. The waiters and all staff are absolutely amazing with so much kindness and always so attentive. Occidental please take care of your employees and maybe give them some bonuses or paid bonus day off because they work so hard and they are the ones that keep this resort running amazingly and they make us come back every time because it’s just such a great experience . Spa -Ruby and Noemi were exceptional. Waiters at the main buffet: Marbella, Gerardo, Alfredo, Floriano, Sugeyli, Efrain are our regulars, amazing and fell like family now. Keep up the good work and thank you for having us and let us create amazing memories.

We recently dined at the Oriental restaurant, the Asian-inspired à la carte restaurant at Occidental at Xcaret Destination in Riviera Maya, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our all-inclusive stay. Tucked into the lush, jungle-like grounds of the resort, the restaurant's elegant décor—with soft lantern lighting, bamboo accents, and a cozy, intimate ambiance—immediately transported us to an exotic corner of Asia. It's open for dinner from 6:00 PM to 9:45 PM, and reservations are a must (tip: book early via the resort's app or concierge to avoid the morning lines). Our server, Bellita Cen, was an absolute standout from the moment we were seated. Warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, she greeted us with genuine enthusiasm and quickly picked up on our group's dietary preferences (one vegetarian, one spice-averse kid). Bellita didn't just take orders—she curated the experience, suggesting pairings like a crisp Sauvignon Blanc for the sushi and explaining the nuances of each dish with a smile that felt personal, not scripted. When a minor mix-up occurred with our appetizer timing, she handled it seamlessly with an extra round of complimentary edamame and a heartfelt apology, turning a potential hiccup into a memorable touch. Servers like Bellita are the heart of what makes resort dining feel special, and she truly elevated our evening—shoutout to her for making us feel like VIPs!
