Not a terrible experience. The staff was wonderful and friendly. But wow did they ever take advantage of us for new years. It was a table sale for a “special show” with “Don parion” (only served Moet) as their selling point. We showed up at 8:30pm when it started, were given one drink from 8:30 to 11:40, and zero grapes (advertised with the false don perion) again, at an all inclusive so absolutely was a waste of money, went and talked to the front desk and they had no interest in refunding even one of the two tables we paid for. (Also showed up and were only given 1 table with an extra chair, then watched every table around us have them move chairs and cusions etc to make them more comfortable, (we didn’t get any of those things even though we were there first) our room flooded from the AC, they came and fixed ac but didn’t clean up the water or say sorry for our whole suitcase under the area that was soaked considering we were gone for 1 hour at breakfast and came back to a soaked room and suitcase with how much water came out. Our door lock is busted so it wouldn’t lock, the beach is 25 minutes walking unless you take trolly which is good and much quicker. The guys at the front are amazing and kind and helpful. Will not return because of the issues with the new years false advertising but did enjoy most of the property. There’s many properties near by with better options for food and à la carte. So wouldn’t recommend. Also, ATM was broken our whole stay, and the cotton candy machine in the lobby stayed broken besides a couple uses the whole time as well (7days)

The hotel provided a dehumidifier to solve this problem, but the noise is too loud and very inconvenient, and improvements are insufficient. 2. As expected, there are many bugs in the room. There are scary-looking ants and very small insects, which are scary and uncomfortable. It seems the resort has carried out disinfection, but they haven't done post-processing, so I'm worried about what harmful products were used. 3. The resort's dining facilities are only buffet and snacks. There is no choice. There are no snack bars, or there are limited options for snacks. 4. It was said that you could have three meals at seven restaurants in a week, but it is almost impossible to use. Even if I try the resort app for more than 2 hours, I cannot make a reservation. The system is slow and there are issues, so I can't make a reservation. 5. Although it was said to be all inclusive, the gym ends at 10 o'clock, there is a leak, and the smell of mold is still strong. Also, all services require a separate fee. 6. The travel agency said that other facilities within the resort could be shared, but almost all of them are paid. In the evening, the road to the accommodation, as well as the roads near the performance venues or swimming pools at other resorts, are blocked by security personnel, making passage impossible. Even during the day, sharing buffets or other facilities is inconvenient or unavailable. We will strongly demand compensation from a travel agency that claims to be able to share facilities within the resort. Because an acquaintance said their trip to Cancun last year was so fantastic, I chose the grand coba resort with a more expensive and longer journey. We expected a trip with very high-quality service, enjoyment, and everything else, free from worries about money and time, but these problems are ruining our worst vacations, limited to uncomfortable resorts, and our vacations that should be enjoyable. I complained at the resort, but even after waiting an hour, the manager had already left work, and their handling was not satisfactory. We never recommend grand coba.

Our stay in Principe Bahia Grand Coba turned out to be even more special than we expected — and a big part of that was the amazing kids’ programs, which really feel like a hidden gem of the resort. Both the Kids Club and the Teens Club are thoughtfully designed, creative, and full of energy, keeping children engaged and happy throughout the day. For us, the Teens Club was especially important. Our high-energy daughter usually isn’t easy to engage, but here she immediately felt understood and included. The leader, Gigi, has an incredible ability to connect with kids. The flexible, interest-based program with two daily sessions (10–5 and 8-11) was a perfect match for our daughter, who came back every day full of stories. It truly became the highlight of our trip. The Entertainment Team also deserves a mention. They work incredibly hard, bring so much positive energy, and offer fun and varied activities. I especially enjoyed the water therapy sessions — their enthusiasm makes you want to join in and participate. The hotel overall feels warm and welcoming. The staff are hardworking and very accommodating, and the food selection is good if you explore a little. One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is not on the first beach line. We were initially concerned, but the shuttles run often, and it turned out to be absolutely manageable — just something guests should know. Overall, we would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families. The kids’ programs — both Kids Club and Teens Club — make the resort truly special, and the Teens Club made our daughter’s holiday unforgettable.

They truly go above and beyond for you and your family—believe me when I say you will not regret choosing this resort. I traveled with my husband and our four children, and from the safety to the service, everything exceeded our expectations. Even with our halal dietary needs, the staff did everything possible to accommodate us and make our stay comfortable and stress-free. I honestly can’t put into words how amazing everyone was. We had a really nice family stay at Bahia Principe Grand Coba. For an all-inclusive, the food was honestly better than we expected. The buffet had plenty of variety, and the à-la-carte restaurants were a nice change. The resort itself is big but well organized, with lots of pools and space to relax. Our room was clean and comfortable, and housekeeping did a good job throughout our stay. The beach was easy to get to and great for kids. The kids club was a big plus. The staff were warm and energetic, and our boys loved the activities and making new friends. It gave us some guilt-free time to relax, which made the trip even better. Overall, it’s a solid, family-friendly resort we’d happily return to.
