We had a wonderful time here! Was a clean and beautiful resort! The only downsides was that the restaurants filled up quickly! We only had one night we were able to get a reservation. The other is that it was not a beach front. But they have shuttles that take you all around the resort. The staff is fun, kind and helpful. The buffet food was decent. For the price point, this was a very fun and successful vacation!

Eder, Hanna and Antonio with the entertainment crew were stellar, always welcome you with a warm greeting, are very energetic, and are genuinely interested in talking to you. Manuel and Marcela with the serving crew who served us buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner (we purposefully sat in their sections after the first time) were also top notch. Not only great serving but also very friendly and warm smiles. The other processes — housekeeping, checking in, getting towels, the room and what not was hassle free too. My only complaint, and the one thing I would change, is that when you do go to check out towels they ask you about interest in excursions, which kind of gets frustrating after the first couple times. The coffee machine located north-east when you enter the lobby is worth checking out as well. Can brew any time of warm drink you like (the hot choclate is very good) and is free. Def worth trying at least once! Overall, our experience was very good and the value was worth it.

I am currently staying at Bahía Príncipe Grand Coba, and unfortunately the experience has not met expectations, especially given the price point. The overall service has been disappointing. While we appreciate the staff’s efforts, the general level of hospitality has not felt warm or attentive. For a resort that is part of a Hyatt-affiliated portfolio, we expected a higher and more consistent standard of service. The food has been below average — repetitive, limited in variety, and at times not as fresh as anticipated. We have also been unable to secure reservations at the à la carte restaurants during our stay, which has been frustrating. Additionally, our reservation confirmation indicated that room service was included, yet upon arrival we were told it is not available to us. That inconsistency was particularly disappointing. Entertainment has been mediocre, with limited activities and not much happening in the evenings. We are still on property and genuinely hope management takes this feedback seriously. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with someone from guest services to address these concerns before our departure.

Areas for improvement: The journey from the airport Cancun to the hotel is too long! (4 hours total) better to land at Tulum airport, we paid US$24 eco-tax upon arrival + excursion eco-tax (cash only!!) on weekends: long wait for shuttles (fewer available?), only one beach bar, always a line, limited table service depending on the restaurant and where you're seated at the buffet, water shoes required on the beach (rocks and coral), the beach is crowded (all the hotels go there because it's the most beautiful spot), difficult to exchange money for 20 or 50 pesos, à la carte restaurants are all booked in advance (app), we were lucky that people cancelled if not, would not be possible to book. Our highlights: The food was amazing, especially à la carte (French and Italian), a huge selection at the buffet (including gluten-free options), very good coffee, automatic coffee machines available at all times in the lobby, the hotel - pools- lobby-toilets were very clean, quick and efficient repairs (safety and shower), the shuttles were more than necessary to get to the beach, the beach bar was appreciated despite the wait, it was possible to snorkel directly from the beach, the Akumal hotel pool was very pretty and accessible, the pools, the poolside buffet, and the atmosphere, friendly and happy staff, good room service, the weather ;0) we were lucky, entertainment.

Kids club has been amazing! The kids are so happy to go and enjoy all the activities. They have many options from 9-5! They are so sweet and kind with the kids. I love how they include the kids into the evening shows in the theatre. They are able to rehearse and then put on a show with them a few evenings a week. They also take your phone number and send you updates and photos through what's app. I highly recommend! The gym is wonderful with all the equipment you need, towels, water, fresh fruit and get service by Ronaldo.
