Denaly Trejo is an absolute gem at Barceló Maya. Denaly was our bartender, and she truly made our experience unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, friendly, and made us feel so genuinely taken care of. Her energy was contagious, her service was flawless, and she created such a welcoming atmosphere that we looked forward to seeing her every single day. She didn’t just make great drinks — she made us feel like friends. Denaly has that rare gift of making guests feel relaxed, valued, and completely at home. It’s people like her who elevate a vacation from great to exceptional. Barceló Maya is incredibly lucky to have Denaly Trejo. She is a standout and a huge reason we will be back. This is a review of the Barcy Colonial Kids Club. We recently returned from our stay and my 6 year old daughter loved the kids club. The staff were kind, enthusiastic, and well-prepared each day. The activities matched what was on the posted schedule and during our 10 days my daughter made numerous crafts, decorated cupcakes and cookies, played games and even had a makeover. She asked to go back everyday! Special thanks to Sara Martinez, Susana Ovando, and Zaira Huitzil for making it such a fun experience for Juniper!

Just returned from a wonderful vacation at the Barcelo. Food was plentiful and quite a variety. Depending on how many days you are there will depend on how many a la carte restaurants you can book. Had no trouble getting chairs for a day on the beach. Room was clean and in great proximity to the beach and pool. Grounds are well kept and staff is always walking the beach to pickup peoples cups that they leave lying around. I read a review about someone being reprimanded for taking food from the buffet. Never had an issue when we took a banana and croissant to take on an early morning excursion. Shows were great. Really enjoyed them. If you are looking for a fun, relatively quiet location, book here. We walked over to the Caribe. It is loud. So if you are looking for more of a party atmosphere, go there. Won't hesitate to book the Colonial again.

We loved our dining experience at the Marenostrum restaurant. We have made over twenty trips worldwide and our server Moises stands out as one of the best! He provided exceptional hospitality and service. Serving is a skill mastered by Moises and his warmth, attentiveness and intuitiveness make him stand out. It was all so natural to him that we think these skills have been perfected over many years. We trust that management will recognize him for his unique talents.

The Kyoto Restaurant was the best à la carte restaurant at the barcelo resort! The chef was very entertaining and mindful of everyone’s requests. Maricela Perez, Francisca Deara and Berenicia Aragon were our servers and they did an amazing job. Our glasses of wine were always full and they were attentive to all of our needs! I would love to come back again!
