I was at this resort from February 1-8th, 2026. Beautiful area, our room was always cleaned well. Overall, the staff are very friendly. We had very good service from Edith & Cristian at the Amaranto Buffet. Front desk we were greeted by Luiz, amazing personality and love that gorgeous smile. A massive selection of food compared to previous 2 resorts, unfortunately the negative was the food was rarely hot temperature wise. Xavier was also awesome, always smiling and pleasant to chat with. Cristina and Clara at the pool gave us amazing service and always very helpful on selection of beverages. Overall, great experience but far away as we would have loved to go shopping but we were too far and not brave enough to go out of the resort.

Just returned from our 7 night stay. About 50min from the airport which seemed to go quickly thankfully. The weather was so chilly unfortunately so we weren't able to swim! We found that beach and pool chairs were hard to come by pretty early on in the day. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, service was wonderful everywhere we went. Food was great, my favorite was probably the Mexican restaurant the salmon was excellent. Least favorite would have to be route 66, I had the reuban sandwich and it wasn't my favorite. We loved Mike's coffee (cold brew on tap!) and the juice bar by the beach. Weren't too keen on the mixed drink options due to the syrups they use. They had 0 alcohol beer though which was excellent. The resort is big on asking about food allergies we had a few allergies in our group and didn't have any issues. The reservation system was easy to use online. It was a bit strange that Sakura had to be booked in person. People started lining up very early to book that restaurant but we managed to get it one morning. Room service was good too! Wish you could order a bit more, there's a max based on room occupancy. The shuttle that runs up and down the resort was helpful for my mom and we often just walked to the beach and back. The resort was large but easy to navigate. Rooms were spacious and pretty decent, bed was comfortable! I marked it 4/5 stars just based on a bit of mold in the bathroom. There was also many flashing lights in the room at night (motion sensors, fan control panel). Lots of wildlife- monkeys, Coatis , racoons, agoutes, iguanas, cats, etc. the Coatis were EVERYWHERE begging for food all the time. The staff are constantly chasing them away. We travelled with a baby and the entertainment at night was quite late at 9pm so I can't comment on that much. We did watch fire fire show which was pretty cool. Resort is very family friendly, lots for kids to do. First time in mexico, first time at an ocean property and we were very happy with our stay!

This is a review of the dinner we ate at the Privilege Lounge, at Ocean Rivera Paradise. The food was delicious, and the service was delightful! We had the chateaubriand, and the surf and turf (filet mignon and shrimp). The meat was cooked to a perfect medium rare. Our waiter Alexis was very helpful and such a joy to speak with, he was very entertaining 😊. Everyone was really wonderful. Thank you so much Juan, Vania, Onesimo, David, and especially Alexis! Overall a great experience, lots to do and see. The only thing I would recommend is having a larger privilege section on beach and better management of the beach chairs. Some mornings we would go down at 7am and there were a lot of beach towels on chairs reserved but the owner wouldn't show up until 9-10am. The server's on the beach were amazing and always making sure we were well hydrated and fed. Hugo was our butler and he went above and beyond to make our trip the best it could be. We stayed at Ocean Edan last year in Jamaica but this Resort is much more organized and the staff were much more approachable and professional. We will hopefully be back soon.

You never really know what you’re going to get with a resort that you’ve never been to before but i can honestly say we had an amazing experience! The restaurants are decent, but the buffet was by far our favorite. The food was different every night and for the most party everything was delicious. Idalia has a coffee cart in the buffet where she makes you a boozy coffee - she is amazing! William is on the entertainment team and he is incredible, so fun and remembers everyone’s names. All the staff are so kind and treated us so well! We made friends with so many staff members and loved seeing them everyday. Also such a clean resort - the staff is constantly working hard at keeping things looking nice. I would 100% recommend this resort. Went as a family of 10, great for kids, great for adults - all around a great time!
