The food is a hit and miss. The first 3 days was subpar but the 4th day was average. Think Olive Garden. Drinks are close to water which was expected because Im sure they dont want drunk belligerent guests. Rooms are ok, no different than the Holiday Inn. The rooms had tea bags and coffee but no coffee pot for hot water. The beds are not great but okay. The first night sleeping in the bed was horrible but I got use to it by night 3. This is my first experience in an All Inclusive and if I go off of this experience alone, I will NEVER stay at another one. I would rather pay to stay at a decent hotel like Holiday Inn and choose my own restaurants to visit. I don't know how they managed to fuc# up breakfast but they did. A butter knife was not able to cut the sausage. The better buffet is the one on White Sands. They have fewer options than the hacienda, but seemingly better food. We decided to cut our stay short by 2 days to visit Hotel Xcaret Arte, will update this post to let you all know how that All Inclusive is. We were taking our luggage to our rental car around 11 pm the night before so we would have less to do in the morning. While walking with our luggage, we were stopped twice by different employees telling us that we were not allowed to take our luggage to our car and that we needed to go to the front desk ASAP. We went and was told that we needed to take our luggage back to our room and come to the desk in the morning to check out and the bell hop will put our luggage in the car at that point. After speaking with the front desk, I still put our luggage in our rental car. I was made to feel like a prisoner. It made me really uncomfortable like they thought I was going to run off with their precious coffee maker that they didn't have lol. Or maybe the hair dryer? The only thing that I wanted was the 1 painting on the wall and that can't fit my luggage. I gave a 3 🌟 for the room because it's similar to the Holiday Inn which is ok with me. 3 🌟 for service because there was only 1 golf cart driver that offered to pick us up when we were walking. The rest just drove by. I wish I had seen him before we left because I wanted to give him a great tip. He was a young man with braces but I didn't get his name 😞. The overall environment is beautiful, I love the landscape. This review may be harsh but I would rather stay at an AirBNB or regular hotel and visit places in the community. I travel to experience the native culture, not to spend all my time at the resort.

Great service! Everyone is super nice and always on top of what you may need. Food is super delicious. Drinks are great and the staff really knows their stuff. Had diner at the la adelita our server was Jaime he was super sweet and very helpful! 10/10 would come back! We also had breakfast at the grand Azul and the food was amazing had a lot of different opinions to chose from. Dorotea and angle and Arturo and Juan pablo were all super friendly and very helpful. Great people and always willing to share there knowledge of the areas.

We stayed there for 9 days. Positive: rooms are big, well air conditioned, when it works. Service is superb. Nice and very well clean. Place is huge, subdivided into three resorts. Each and one of them you can visit and dine at. A lot of wild life to visit you, so do not leave food around. When tired of walking, jump on EV - golf cart zipping around. They will bring you any where on resort. Room service was good. Food was very good. There are plenty of locations to take photos. I would recommend visiting Sands Resort closer to sunset. Resort is far from nearest city, you can speak to your agent to arrange free transfer but it usually involves “ other “ activities like visiting silver factory. I was in Tulum couple of times. There is nothing much to see. There are plenty of things to do. Negative. Buffet had not enough cooks, some of them were spread in-between two stations, some times you finished your meal before server brought you glass of beer. Some of the servers did not speak even blink of English. Coffee machines were routinely running out of milk, and not replenished in timely manner, forcing you to bother waiter for a cup of coffee lathe. All together I had most positive and relaxing experience there.

We just ate at El Dorado Restaurant and we loved it!!! The food was outstanding and the service was just as good. My little girl ordered the mac and cheese from the kids menu but tried the salmon my son ordered and loved it. Jose Pat was our waiter and he happily ordered another salmon for my daughter. My wife and I both had the Filet Mignon which was perfectly cooked and delicious! Jose Pat could not do enough to help us and we are already looking forward to returning! Absolutley fantastic!! 😊

Food was good. Could have been better. Got the 3 taco appetizer which was good. My gf got the cochinita pibil that she enjoyed. It was quite a bit of meat however, that was the only thing on the plate. I got the lamb which was tasty but small. The churros were good, however, they were a little hard as they weren't fresh pressed at the time of order. Our server Juan was pleasant. We would eat here again. Sumptuori was a wonderful night. While we weren't able to get a teppanyaki table (these fill up fast and need to be booked well in advance) we were close by and still able to enjoy the show from afar. Hector was attentive and helpful. The food was a delicious and interesting mexican take on japanese cuisine.
