Ocean Maya Royale is the best resort we’ve stayed at in the Quintana Roo area.
All staff is welcoming and accommodating. You arrive to a fresh drink and an easy check in process. The bellhop’s take your bags to your rooms and show you the way. The experience team is amazing that they do, especially Alberto! He remembers everyone’s names and has a keen eye for who would be willing to participate in games/activities. They are great at getting the party started, and keeping it going. The nightly entertainment is great, as well as the daytime at the “party pool”. Already panning our next trip back!

Alberto from the experience team is what made my entire trip! He's so funny, inviting, and down to earth. He does everything to make sure you have an amazing time and even updates you on any upcoming events so you don't miss a thing. He got me up and dancing as well as almost getting me on the mechanical bull. Safe to say my husband and I will be back as soon as possible. Thank you so much for bringing me out of my shell Alberto!! Also, Humberto at the lobby bar is a fantastic bartender. Please make sure to connect with him for an awesome conversation!

We spent a great 2 weeks at this resort (July 24) and had a lot of fun which was headed up by the fantastic entertainment team, Gracia, Alberto, Victor, Moses, Cheeky baby and DJ Rafa. The resort is kept immaculately clean by the staff and the food choices are plentiful. We used the massage tent on the beach this year and it was surprisingly tranquil with the sound of the sea in the background.
The only area I feel lets the resort down is the onsite shop. Whilst they have a decent selection of goods it is heavily overpriced. There is no real alternative within walking distance to get essential items if you forget to bring them. I believe a return taxi trip to Playa Del Carmen is around $50US.

I just booked my stay at Ocean Maya Royale starting August 7th, and I couldn’t be more excited! The prices are incredibly reasonable for the level of luxury and amenities offered. From the stunning beachfront location to the variety of dining options and activities, this resort promises an unforgettable experience.
Please note, this 5-star rating is temporary and solely based on the price and offered amenities for now. Hopefully, it stays like that after my experience!

This was one of the best vacations I've been on in my life, and I've traveled all around the world. I would do it again if I could, and when I can again I will. We had such a great experience at the Ocean Maya Royale resort. Eventhough they were going through changes and upgrade at the resort to make it more accommodating for more guests, it was more than adequate for me, my wife and our friends. The staff was great the beaches were nice not the greatest, but they were nice. 10 out of 10 would visit again. The food at the resort was really good for an all inclusive resort. I met some really great people while there as well as really good staff. It was so nice to have bartenders that remembered you, your drink, and your name. If you tip well these things will happen, but it's not a necessity that you do so. The rooms were really nice as well. Well kept as well as well stocked. If you haven't had the chance to visiting this resort please do. You will not be disappointed.
