I am only giving 4 stars overall due to the hot tub not working & the only available parking is $38 per night, which is a bit pricey, but competitive for the area (SeaWorld). Excellent & friendly customer service. Quick check-in/check-out. Food was delicious. The cookies are the icing on the proverbial cake! Room was clean & good size. I'll definitely be staying again when I'm planning a stay cation.

I am extremely disappointed with this stay. I have genuinely never stayed at a more disgusting hotel. The moment you walk into the lobby, it is beautiful—but don’t be fooled. It’s all a scam. Once you get to the rooms, the reality is shocking. The villa rooms are incredibly outdated and old. The second you walk in, you can feel the overwhelming humidity and mold in the air. The bed and blankets were immediately moist and damp to the touch, which was beyond uncomfortable and unsanitary. We requested a room change to Building 9, and Vanessa—who was excellent and truly doing her best—moved us with no hesitation. Unfortunately, the second room was no better. While there was no carpet, the humidity remained just as bad. There was visible mold on the walls that had clearly been painted over. Rusted, corroding door hinges were also painted over, which says a lot about how issues are being “handled” here. The bathroom was especially alarming. Mold was growing on the ceiling, the tiles were visibly molded and slimy, and everything felt dirty—the complete opposite of clean. There were strange stains on the walls and doors throughout the room. To make matters worse—and this was genuinely dangerous—the toilet seat hinges were not properly secured. When we sat down, the entire toilet seat completely fell off and landed on the ground, and we almost fell into the toilet. This could have resulted in serious injury. This is not just unpleasant; it is a major safety hazard and completely unacceptable for any hotel, let alone one under the Hilton brand. Additionally, the hinge lock on the door was missing a screw, which made us feel extremely unsafe—especially considering the parking area already warns guests to park at their own risk. At checkout, we raised our concerns, and Julissa truly deserves a raise. She was incredible—kind, apologetic, and genuinely helpful, even though none of this was her fault. She handled the situation with professionalism and empathy and made checkout the only positive part of this experience. All in all, we will never return to this DoubleTree by Hilton. This property needs to be bulldozed and rebuilt from the ground up. It requires serious renovations, and at this rate, the hotel will lose far more money through complaints, refunds, and poor reviews than it would by properly rebuilding and fixing these issues. Avoid this location at all costs.

Overall, this resort was fabulous. The customer service was great and the food at the Laguna Lounge was delicious! The made-to-order omelets were the best! Our breakfast server, Pilar, was very attentive and prompt. She did a great job. Our lunch/dinner server, Manny, was amazing. He was very polite and funny. Our room was designed nicely, however the bathroom didn’t seem as fresh and clean as I’d prefer. And we did not get the resort view room like we were expecting. But, in the end, we’re already planning our next visit here.

I had a very nice stay at this hotel overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. The location was convenient and close to many places we wanted to visit, so most of the time we were outside. The only bad thing was that the shower water was too hot most of the time and hard to adjust. Other than that, everything was great, and I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

I booked this hotel because online it says four stars the room I got was anything but a four star room or experience. The parking fee is $38 a night to start which is absurd. The first night we checked in nearly at midnight on 12/13 and spent nearly an hour trying to find parking, their lot was beyond full. The worker who was driving the lot on a golf cart told a lady in front of us to park in the fire lane. Yet all signs in the lot say park at your own risk so if you get towed it’s your own fault. A place that charges so much for parking should be the ones held accountable if anything happens to your car. Once we finally parked a ways from the room we were supposed to get a ‘garden view’ yeah we got a parking lot view. Then once we arrived in the room there were huge spots of what I can only assume to be bleach spots all over the floor. The lamp shade was filthy, the chair has stains I don’t even wanna know what they are. The mini fridge looks like something’s been poured all over the front of it. Half drank drinks were left assuming from previous guest. The bathroom floor area looks like it hasn’t been cleaned properly. The bathroom door wasn’t cleaned, the shower tiles were broken and just filled in with caulking rather than replaced.The room gets insanely hot even with the ac on the lowest temp, part of the ac is hanging. The elevators are beyond filthy. Just overall not an experience I was expecting I paid WAY too much for 3 nights ($530) for how filthy things were. Overall just simply not happy with any of it it was not a good experience, it was incredibly expensive for such an awful experience.
