DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld is a vibrant resort that feels like a mini‑vacation the moment you step through the lobby. The first thing that hits you is the warm, buttery cookie at check‑in – a sweet welcome that instantly lifts the mood. The hotel sits right on International Drive, just a five‑minute shuttle ride from SeaWorld, Aquatica and the Orange County Convention Center, so you’re always in the heart of the action. Guests rave about the *location*, noting that it’s “right next to SeaWorld and Aquatica” and “perfect for park hopping” .¹ The property boasts two sprawling outdoor pools, a heated lagoon and a poolside bar where you can sip a frozen cocktail while the Florida sun kisses your skin. Families love the miniature golf course and the dedicated kids’ splash area, which keep the little ones entertained for hours. The rooms are spacious, with comfy Sweet Dreams® beds, 55‑inch Hilton Connected TVs and a mini‑fridge stocked with complimentary water – a nice touch after a day at the parks. Many reviewers mention the “clean and spacious rooms” and the “pleasant scent of fresh linens” that make you want to linger .² The on‑site dining options are surprisingly diverse: Laguna Restaurant & Bar serves American fare, while the poolside snack bar offers quick bites and tropical drinks. A complimentary continental breakfast is served each morning, and guests often comment that it’s “a solid start to the day” . Service gets high marks too; the front‑desk staff are described as “professional, courteous and incredibly helpful,” with several guests highlighting a particular associate named Bailey who “explained everything clearly and kindly” . For business travelers, the 24‑hour business center, free high‑speed Wi‑Fi and ample meeting space make it easy to stay productive. Parking is available on‑site for a daily fee, but the convenient shuttle service to nearby attractions means you rarely need a car. While some guests point out dated furnishings in certain rooms, the overall consensus is that the property offers great value for the price, especially with Hilton Honors perks like a $200 credit for Aspire cardholders . In short, DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando at SeaWorld delivers a fun, family‑friendly atmosphere, top‑notch amenities and a prime location that makes every day of your Orlando adventure feel like a breeze. If you’re looking for a comfortable base that balances park proximity with resort‑style relaxation, this hotel is a solid choice.

I had a very nice stay at this hotel overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful from check-in to check-out. The location was convenient and close to many places we wanted to visit, so most of the time we were outside. The only bad thing was that the shower water was too hot most of the time and hard to adjust. Other than that, everything was great, and I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

I really wanted to like this resort, but at this point I feel guests deserve to know the issues I’ve experienced — and management needs to take them seriously. Before even getting settled, the fees were surprising: a $450 hold, a $25/day resort fee, and a $50 incidental hold. For what we received, the resort fee covers very little — a few arcade machines and a tiny mini-golf course. It’s December, so none of it was even usable. We booked a double room, but the first room we were given was a single on the opposite side of the resort. We carried our luggage all the way back to the lobby in the heat, got reassigned, walked across the resort again… and it was another single. Dragging four suitcases across cobblestone in 90° weather twice was extremely frustrating. Communication from the front desk has been consistently unhelpful. Any time we called with a concern, nobody had answers. Last night we simply asked where the shuttle picks up at Epcot — a reasonable question since the shuttle is part of the resort fee and a key selling point of this property. The woman on the phone actually said, “I don’t have time for this,” then put us on hold and transferred us to the manager. Thankfully, the manager was kind and helpful, but the attitude and lack of knowledge from the front desk was shocking. The next morning, I discovered a $500 unauthorized charge to my card. I never approved it. They said they “tried calling Tripster,” who I booked through, and since they didn’t get an answer, they charged me instead. They never contacted me, didn’t call the room, and didn’t knock on the door. Thankfully, Emily, the manager, was wonderful and refunded it immediately — but this should NEVER have happened. Transportation has been another ongoing issue. The third-party shuttles are extremely inconsistent: sometimes they don’t show up, sometimes they’re late or leave early. One driver even stopped in the middle of the road instead of pulling into the hotel and told us to get out. On our first day, the bus missed our stop entirely and the front desk kindly called an Uber — but after multiple issues, we would’ve been better off with a rental car. To be fair, the housekeeping team has been excellent, but our shower doesn’t drain, so the bathroom floods every time we use it. And yes — the resort advertises their “warm chocolate chip cookies” everywhere. We did, in fact, get our cookies, and they were good… but unfortunately, the cookies ended up being the most consistent part of our entire stay. Overall, this hotel has potential, but the lack of communication, training, consistency, and authorization safeguards is alarming. Between the incorrect rooms, unauthorized charges, transportation failures, and unhelpful front desk interactions, I cannot recommend this resort in its current state. I truly hope management addresses these issues for future guests.

Let me start by saying this property is business in the front, party in the back. If you are coming for business, you want to be in the tower (the front), make sure you book that. The rooms are slightly more expensive than the cabanas. The tower is like your standard hotel; the cabanas (the back) are more family style. They are very casual, a bit dated and have seen a lot of guests BUT if you're not spending time in the room, want to spend time at the pool and want to eat onsite, this is great. The food is good. The market makes great coffee and there is staff everywhere ready to help. I was struggling to be comfortable in the cabanas and the manager worked it out to make room for me in the tower. It changed my entire experience. Pro's - Amazing and helpful staff, good food onsite, great location, cost, safe, comfortable. Con's - Dated, high traffic resort, lack of parking due to volume of guests.

We stayed on the 17th floor which was nice and romantic. The rooms were clean and the shower was amazing. They provide full bottles of shampoo, conditioner, and a really nice shower body wash. There are plenty of restaurants and places to snack on premises. There are a lot of security gates to get in the parking area that are accessible with your room key card. Parking can be a challenge because there doesn't seem to be enough of it but it's free.
