Avanti International Resort

Had a fantastic time at the Avanti international resort they were very accommodating with any questions or help we might require. One night the battery went flat on my key thob and they fixed it instantly. They are in partnership with Universal and provide a shuttle bus to the universal parks which was very efficient. The swimming pool, gym and jacuzzi were all kept well, the maintenance is excellent. They provide plenty of refreshments and food at the poolside bar. Though I didn’t really eat here. I would happily stay here again as it is also in good location to all the entertainment.

This property should not be called a resort. It is essentially a motel with a misleading name and description. First, the hotel lied about the free breakfast and then blamed Booking.com, telling us directly that “Booking.com lies to people to get more customers.” That alone says a lot about their honesty and professionalism. The Wi-Fi was public and unsecured, which made it unusable for work. The TVs are outdated — no screen mirroring, no working HDMI, and not functional for modern use. Cleanliness was poor. The room was not properly cleaned, and room service entered the room without knocking, which is unacceptable. The next day, no towels were provided, and we were told they had “run out.” The noise level was unbearable, with constant street noise and people passing by at all hours. This is not a resort atmosphere by any definition. Customer service was awful. When I tried calling the front desk multiple times to ask for 10 extra minutes for checkout, the staff member repeatedly hung up the phone as soon as I asked, clearly to avoid dealing with it. The most serious and dangerous incident happened on checkout day: My husband was stuck in the elevator for a full hour. • The emergency/call button did not work at all • No alarm, no way to call for help • He pressed every button and screamed until a cleaning employee finally heard him A handyman showed up 30 minutes later with just a screwdriver. No fire department was called. No emergency services were contacted. I had to call the fire department myself. The staff did not take this situation seriously, did not explain what was being done, and showed zero concern. When I spoke to the manager, I was told: “Accidents happen. It’s like when a plane falls and people die.” That comment was shocking, inappropriate, and unacceptable. This was a serious safety failure, not a minor inconvenience. I will be contacting a lawyer regarding what happened, because this level of negligence is not okay. I strongly do not recommend staying here. Misleading advertising, poor cleanliness, rude staff, and dangerous conditions.

Been at Avanti many times and going again in February, next week. Absolutely love this place. The vibe, the atmosphere, the rooms, the people. All of it. And it's more or less smack dab in the middle of I-Drive, so you can take a relaxing stroll left or right out of the resort and wander the fun in each direction. Avanti is phenomenal. They have 2 properties and both are wonderful, but the International Resort is my favorite.

Good hotel for the location. There are a few attractions nearby, and it’s close to all the Universal and Disney parks. The staff was okay, but check-in took a long time. The hallways and elevators were really dirty. The elevator in building two wasn’t working about half the time. We mentioned it to two staff members, but they didn’t seem bothered and were pretty nonchalant about it, like it was normal. The pool is heated, which is really nice during the winter. The bedroom was okay, but the bathroom was kind of small. The water pressure wasn’t great. The room was dirty when we arrived the trash wasn’t taken out and there was a used soap bar left in the shower. The restaurant is also really expensive. We didn't haveanyc cleaning room service for all our stay so 3 nights.

Rooms were clean but some rooms are close to I4 as you can hear trucks all night/morning and traffic. Didn't bother me as much due to I brought a air purifier (white noise) to drown out any noise. Pool was great and bar was fantastic!!!! Overall a great hotel for the price
