I stayed here for a few days. The bartender, Leyla, was awesome! She has a great attitude and great customer service! She was very pleasant and makes good drinks. I will be back the next time I am in Orlando. The hotel is in a very convenient location on international drive with lots to do.

The previous reviews baffle me. The hotel is so cheap and worth the money. It’s not luxury but it’s not going to be for the price. I was so worried to stay after seeing the reviews. I was put in one of the newer rooms and I brought antibacterial wipes due to the reviews, but they were wasted as the room was clean! We had issues with our safe and maintenance came to help but they won’t enter your room unless you’re there for their own liability. So reviews saying that they don’t turn up isn’t true. They just won’t go in unless you are in there with them. Which I like. The staff were lovely and they have security walking round the whole hotel so felt safe. I’m from the uk and wonder if we just have different standards as previous reviews worried me beyond belief. Free shuttle to the parks however they weren’t that often in October so we got Ubers some days. The pool was huge and loved the hot tub after a long day at the parks. Overall I would recommend this hotel for someone who wants a safe but budget hotel close to restaurants and the parks. Thank you!

This was our first time staying at this hotel, although we have stayed in several other hotels along International Drive in the past. We stayed from December 27th to January 10th. When booking through our travel agent, we specifically requested Block 2 with a pool view; however, on arrival we were allocated Room 4308 in Block 4, which faced the car park and Embassy Suites. Due to its close proximity to the motorway, noise was an issue at times. Upgrading the external doors and windows would go a long way toward resolving this. The room itself was very basic but did include all the essentials: a fridge, coffee machine, TV, and hairdryer. I can’t comment on rooms in other blocks, but ours was extremely basic. The bathroom, in particular, is in need of a complete refurbishment. My son wanted to have a bath, but I had to go to Walgreens to buy cleaner and a scrubbing sponge to remove soap scum before it could be used. I also had to purchase a bathtub stopper as the one provided didn’t fit. There was hair on the bathroom floor and in the plughole, the bathroom door was starting to rot, the shower rail was cracked, and the vanity unit outside the bathroom was warped and also showing signs of rot. The floors were extremely dirty and clearly needed a deep clean—we ended up buying our own mop and bucket to clean them ourselves. The in-room safe was broken; the battery cover was missing and the batteries were being held in place with tape. Maintenance had to attend on four occasions to open the safe because the tape kept coming loose, and each time they simply added more tape instead of fixing the issue properly. The stairwells were also very dirty and would benefit from a thorough power wash. On a positive note, the pool area is great, with plenty of sunbeds and fresh towels (although these can run out quickly, they can be requested from the pool bar staff). There is a small gym with enough equipment to keep you ticking over. There’s also a games room, though many of the arcade games were broken, and a pool bar with a wide variety of drinks. The sanded beach volleyball area is a nice touch, although sand does get tracked around the pool and into the water. This didn’t bother us, but some guests did complain. Housekeeping was generally good aside from the issues already mentioned with the floors and bathroom. Towels were changed daily, beds were made each day, and our linen was changed three times during our two-week stay. The location is excellent, with both ICON Park and Pointe Orlando within walking distance, and I-Ride trolley stops close to the hotel. With some investment in modernization and refurbishment, this place could be really good. Overall, it’s not a bad place to stay—just don’t expect the Ritz.

This was my second time booking this hotel because I had a decent experience the first time. This time I was given a room with a busted door. The first time we arrived it was janky but we managed to get into our room. When we left and came back at 11p our door would not open. I called the front desk multiple times and no one answered. So after waiting 10mins we walked down to the front desk where multiple people were standing claiming they didn't hear the phone ringing....when I told them about the door they gave my key card to a security officer and said that he was going to find a maintenance man to help. By this time our dinner was cold and my feet were aching. After another 10 mins of waiting the lady at the desk said the maintenance man was on his way to our room. I asked for my key card back. I didn't understand why security had it in the first place... we head up to the room and the maintenance man asked us if we had just checked into the room or if we'd been in...we said we came here earlier and the door did give us problems but we were able to get in. After 30 mins and him changing the batteries out, the door still didn't work or open. I called back down to the office and told them what happened and if we could get another room. She agreed. The maintenance man called someone else and they opened the door manually for us to retrieve our stuff. It was a hassle repacking everything, our feet hurting, and our food now cold. The next day I called to speak to a manager to see if they would compensate us for the misfortune of what transpired. The manager was very rude and unempathetic. He said he would refund only 20$ of a service fee and that was all. I felt like that was unacceptable and on top of that I never received a 20$ refund. I only received my 50$ deposit back so he lied.

Rooms are sketchy and don't feel safe. Shallow walls and the room door leads outside. Would not recommend for solo traveler unless you are comfortable with such accomodations. It rubbed me and my friends the wrong way. There's an AC unit in the room w a sticker that says to not turn it off. Problem with that is it's super loud like a power generator and made it difficult to sleep. The water in the shower squealed as it came out, loudly. Like air leaving a balloon slowly. The bedding felt thin and poor quality and I was concerned about the cleanliness when I arrived. There is a sticker that said cleaning in rooms happens ever 4 days, it was on the mirror. Additional cleaning costed money. Fitness center door was broken and no one on staff knew how to open it so I couldn't use it. Barista/Starbucks didn't have their credit card processing working so no coffee in the morning. Really bad experience overall and feel like I was jipped out of almost 600 dollars. Won't ever stay at an Avanti place again. Would have rather paid more money for a place on the same street that delivered a good/safe feeling experience. Only upside was the pool area seemed well maintained and the staff was friendly, even though no one seemed to know how to help w these issues. I'd recommend investing more money on your vacation and staying somewhere that is safer and better maintained. I originally wasn't going to attend this trip w my friends and joined last minute. I'm glad I did bc my fiance was staying here and I absolutely wouldn't have felt comfortable knowing she was staying at a place like this.
