The room was quite big and spacious. The bed was comfortable. The hotel is close to a highway and the rooms are not soundproofed, you can hear a lot of traffic, especially at night. The included breakfast is not bad, I think it has little variety/choice. It works with a coupon with 2 drink options (coffee or orange juice) and 4 or 5 food options (pancakes, burritos, oatmeals, etc). There are other breakfast options, but they have to be paid separately. Most of the time the television signal didn't work properly.

If you are seeking a motel/ hostel experience in a great location, Avanti is the choice. The air is musty, our beds were unmade and room needed a good dose of cleaning. The door was jammed. We needed extra strength to unlock it. The window opened into a hallway. My building was next to the highway. The property needs to be grazed and rebuilt. The pool space is the greatest asset. Great place to hang out with family or friends. I opened the room, made a I turn and checked out. I had a reservation for 4 nights and requested cancellation of the entire reservation.

**Cleaners Stole Earrings** I would like to start this by saying the hotel location is absolutely brilliant, other than that, it’s really not great and I’d probably give it a miss. When we first arrived we were pretty impressed; lovely greeting at reception, nice pool area and newly renovated rooms, but unfortunately things weren’t as good as they initially seemed. The first issue we encountered was there are very limited staff that understand English. Other than the reception staff, there was a real language barrier causing quite a few misunderstandings during our visit. Our food orders were always incorrect and we struggled to communicate with the cleaners (if you want to call them that). In reality they didn’t do much cleaning at all. Clean towels were supplied every couple of days and I think the bed sheets were changed once during our 2 week visit, but the floors are filthy and as a matter of fact, they’re pretty useless as far as cleaners go. One of them set off the fire alarm which didn’t stop ringing for multiple hours, a bottle in cleaning solution was left on our bathroom, which proceeded to leak, but when confronted they just said they don’t understand English. Considering you must pay an extra resort fee on arrival ($236 for 14 nights, with a $100 deposit), you’d have thought the cleaning would’ve been a much higher standard. Most importantly, my earrings were stolen by the cleaners. We always leave our valuables in the safe provided, however on one occasion we forgot to do so, leaving the earrings on the bedside table. We came back to the pair of earrings missing after the cleaners visit. Completely unacceptable. Another issue we had was the location of our room. We were on the 1st floor (ground) at the very end of the corridor. There were constantly people gathering on the corner, playing loud music at all hours, screaming, shouting and smoking you know what! Once again, no one seemed to care or want to assist in any way. I would also like to point out the sparse number of umbrellas at the pool area, which is just not good enough. As “the sunshine state”, it can be a very hot state in the summer months and it is always recommended to take some time out of the sun at peak times. This is extremely difficult to do so, as all the umbrellas are attached to tables and I could count them on one hand. I would also like to point out that there is no life guard or supervision on duty. With the pool being extremely busy all day and the deep end of the pool being 6ft, you would think a lifeguard would be a sensible idea. We arrived back from the parks as late as 10pm some nights and the pool was still heaving. Just something to keep in mind if you plan on staying here with young children. The pool area is also supposedly a “smoke free zone”, but this is utter rubbish because once again, the staff don’t seem to care with everybody openly smoking all around the area. If you were needing somewhere to stay for a day or two I suppose it would be okay. Like I say the location is great but there’s really not much more going for it. Personally wouldn’t stay here for a long period of time again, but if you do just make sure you use the safe, bring some ear defenders and don’t wear white socks!!!

We had a 5 night stay planned because last year we enjoyed the property and location …especially the pool. We checked in last Monday and after just a few hours realized there were some issues going on that we were not made aware of at check in. First issue is the recent remodel of the sidewalks outside of rooms which produce a black substance that tracks back into the rooms. It looks as if it’s made with tar. It gets onto your shoes and when you are barefoot or with socks on your feet turn black. This was confirmed by management and housekeeping it is a known issue and other reviews say they have experienced the same thing. The second issue is the drains in shower and sink emit a raw sewage smell when the hot water is running. Also confirmed by housekeeping this is a known issue. We decided to take it up with reservations department and ended up canceling our stay and moving to another property location they owned called “ Floriday’s” . Much better. The communication with Avanti International especially “ Shane “ has been frustrating and phone calls and responses to my email have been ignored. They promised a refund of our first night only to back peddle on that. It seems they did a complete management overhaul and the new team is nothing like last year. Hope things get better at this place because it is a great location and the pool is awesome.

I've come to Avanti for years. And have always had great experiences. Staff is always friendly. They have been doing a lot of renovations over the years and it shows. There are some rooms that still need work so I see these low star reviews from the rooms that haven't been updated yet. This place is definitely worth it for it's location in the heart of Orlando and free shuttles to the parks.
