Upon first impression, the hotel presents itself well, but the experience does not justify the steep costs. It's exasperating to pay such high rates for rooms only to find out that parking incurs an additional, significant fee. No amenities are complimentary, which feels disproportionate to the room rates. The accommodations themselves left much to be desired. There was a notable absence of a closet space, diminishing the room's utility and comfort. The bedding appeared tired and the mattress was less than comfortable, contributing to a less restful night. Soundproofing is inadequate, as conversations from neighboring rooms were easily audible. Moreover, the bathroom was cramped and its door failed to shut completely. I advise against dining in the hotel—the food did not meet expectations. Positives include a helpful shuttle service to nearby attractions and a commendable staff. The pool area is spacious and remains open late, which is a plus. However, these few benefits do not offset the overall disappointing value.

Brilliant hotel and great location. If we were to holiday in Florida again we would definitely come back here. The staff were pleasant upon arrival. The room was lovely, clean and spacious. The pool area was brilliant, bar staff friendly and plenty of loungers. The free bus shuttle is great and very frequent. We ate several times in the hotel and the food was lovely.

The convenience of shuttles to and from the parks is fantastic. Having your room card hold money for use in both the hotel and parks is convenient and a great way to have family members have purchasing power without needing everyone to carry their wallets and purses. The Breakaway Cafe is not fancy, but provides exactly what hungry travelers need at the end of the day and I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza and made to order pasta. The pool was the perfect way to settle down after a hot day and even with so much to do, we still used the TV in our downtime to relax and could always find just the right show to watch.

We started our stay the week after the spring break, Sunday-Friday. Kim checking us in asked us questions that made our trip a bit more special. We took the suite option for a family of 4 and it was right on. As me and my sister are former housemaids the rooms met our standards. We prefer a hard floor over carpet. The bus pick up and drop off to the parks were welcoming. We did chose to have a car park at the hotel but if we came back we could get by well without one. The café staff were super friendly. Love the music played in the morning and the overall chilled surf vibe this place is channeling. Surfside all the way!

Loved the resort. Rooms were big (only 2 of us staying in the twin queen room), clean and comfortable. The mini fridge and coffee maker in the room was a bonus. Staff at reception were always polite and helpful. It was great having the shuttle buses to all the different Universal parks. They ran every 10 minutes so never long to wait. Could buy merch at the parks and it was delivered to the hotel by the next day. Only used the pool once as was out at the theme parks most of the time but the pool was heated and it was great that we could use their free towels. They do have a paid for shuttle bus to and from the airport but it is not well advertised and you have to phone to order it rather than book online but it is a good service and cost about the same as an Uber for a return trip. Overall, for a hotel at the cheaper end of Universal hotels, it was great, had everything we needed and would definitely stay again.
