My stay here was amazing this was my family first vacation and this hotel did not disappoint. From the restaurant s, the pool, Starbucks, shuttle buses to the park..... everything was amazing. I love that you can text when you need something. The staff was nice and friendly. I am also in the hotel industry and also a travel agent I will be recommending this hotel to my clients. I check out tomorrow, but I already started booking for next year...I give this place 10 stars

Pretty good. The hotel is nice and well taken care of. The pool is nice. It's good that they have bus service that goes back and forth. If you're willing to walk, you can get to some restaurants within a half a mile. There's a Starbucks in the lobby. Good for the morning. The restaurants here are the same prices and higher than in the park and the cups that you buy for the hotel do not work in the park. So therefore you need to buy a cup for the hotel and a cup for the park which is different than Disney where you only need to buy one. The location is great and very convenient to get to and from universal. We went to epic and Islands of adventure. That big is the new one and very clean and well put together. Not a lot of rides. everybody goes there so it gets crushed. The lines are super long

I would like to provide feedback regarding my recent stay. First, I was supposed to be notified when my room was ready, but I never received a call or text. Because I was waiting for that notification, I stayed longer at the park and became extremely exhausted while waiting to check in. I finally called around 6:00 PM and was told my room had been ready, but there were system issues. If the system was having problems, someone could have called me to let me know instead of leaving me waiting without any communication. Second, I requested a late checkout, but it appears that information was not properly communicated to housekeeping. A housekeeper came to my door shortly after 9:00 AM even though the normal checkout time was 11:00 AM and I had been approved for a late checkout. Later, I called the front desk and requested a luggage cart be sent up when I was preparing to leave. Instead, a housekeeper arrived with a different piece of equipment, and when I explained that I had requested a luggage cart, another employee told me I would have to go downstairs and get it myself, despite the front desk advising that one would be sent to my room. To make matters worse, another housekeeper knocked on my door around 11:20 AM while I was having a conversation with my daughter. Since I had been approved for a 12:00 PM checkout, it was very frustrating and disruptive to have multiple interruptions. There seemed to be a significant lack of communication between the front desk and housekeeping staff, which negatively impacted my privacy and peace during my stay. Finally, the café staff gave me a difficult time when I attempted to use my dining voucher for juice. We spent approximately 30 minutes discussing something that should have been simple to resolve, which was both frustrating and unnecessary. Overall, the recurring communication issues between departments created an unpleasant experience and significantly affected the quality of my stay. I hope these concerns are addressed so future guests do not encounter the same problems. I would not be back to this hotel at all

Surfside Inn & Suites was great for the price. Our only complaint was how much noise you can hear in the room. If the noise doesn't bother you, I recommend this hotel. It's the best price for having a suite. The hotel is clean and all of the staff is very friendly and helpful. We arrived at noon and our room was ready, plus they gave us a one hour later checkout. It is not within walking distance to the parks, but the bus is very convenient and we never had to wait long. It's only about 10 min to get to the universal/Islands of adventure parks and about 15 min to Epic Universe. We ordered room service pizza and it was very good and fresh when delivered. We had a one-bedroom suite which worked out great for us. I slept in the bed that was by the front door and could hear every noise in the hall way and room's surrounding us. I had ear plugs that I could put in to block it out so it wasn't a problem for me, but something to be aware of - sacrifice price for noise. Despite the noise, I would stay here again. I like the Surfside better than the Dockside because it is a little smaller, plus the bus between the hotel and City walk/Universal Orlando/Islands of Adventure stops at Surfside before Dockside.

Stayed here with my large family and it was perfect for big groups. The rooms accommodate up to 6 people and have a great set up to where you’re not on top of each other. The food is pretty good (definitely overpriced) but nice to have a quick meal. The front desk staff were absolutely amazing, so friendly and accommodating. This is one of the furthest resorts from Universal, but the buses come pretty often so you’re never waiting too long. Definitely worth staying here for the early park entry!
