BLUF: You get what you pay for, a cheap option to stay near the Universal Parks For the price, this hotel served its purpose. The bed was relatively soft, but the pillows were 3 small squares. The room and property look outdated. The light switch in the bathroom was dripping water during a storm. Our room also had a weird quirk where you had to scan your room key to get the door to close from the outside. It is very close to all of the Universal parks, and rideshare to/from the parks was typically under $10. My main criticism lies in the shuttle service. In hindsight, I should’ve looked into this more, but a cursory search led me to believe we’d be safe booking this hotel and have transportation covered. Of the 6 trips to or from Universal, we were only able to use the shuttle once. Having stayed at a Universal Resort in the past, this shuttle service pales in comparison. It has fixed run times, some of which don’t appear to consider the park hours (Epic is open for an hour and a half after the last return shuttle). What was most frustrating was the lack of information by the staff regarding the shuttles. During our last evening, we were finally able to use the shuttle and arrived 10 minutes before the shuttle time in the pouring rain. I did not see the shuttle, so I called the hotel, and the clerk could not tell me the location of the shuttle pickup, only that they should be there on time and in the shuttle area. For future guests, pickup was behind the escalator down to the shuttle area (during our visit anyway), not with the other shuttles. This simple piece of information could have saved us an hour of frustration in a storm, contemplating paying 3x the usual rate for a rideshare.

I was very happy with this room, staff, location, price, etc! At other hotels this rating, you'd expect to see a missing bulb, a wall repair, a scratched piece of furniture or a missing amenity. Not the Rosen Inn. It checked off every box. Good cable, working fridge, plenty of clean towels, comfortable beds and pillows, convenient plugs for all electronics. Furniture was up to date. The pool was beautiful and the large property had many convenient vending machines not to mention the store in the lobby area that had everything! The property was gated and seemed safe to me. If I had one thing that got my attention was people outside talking late night, but it was a weekend and I was on the bottom with a parking area near my door. I could have asked for an upper floor but it was no big deal. One other thing. The toilet in 1355 flushes slowly. It's works. Just takes a few trys. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay again. It was a price too.

Stayed here really recently for my first ever America vacation and nothing could be better. I traveled alone and was a bit nervous upon arrival but I was greeted with friendly staff that made my stay so much better everyone is so helpful and kind , loads of facilities on the way to the room , amazing pool and a great gym . People say that the rooms are outdated but I disagree I really enjoyed the room and couldn’t have felt any more comfortable with it. Every morning when you come back from trips you have fresh sheets and new towels with washes set out so many thanks to the room service. My food was included and it was really overwhelming so much choice and tasted really good, I was greeted every morning by this lady who made me feel really happy (my full name is Joseph if your reading this hope you remember me you made my mornings so much better haha) and the whole stay at this hotel couldn’t of been any better , will be the only hotel I book when I come back to Florida. 10/10 everything

Front staff is good. Wilson seems depressed. Loveda has great energy along with karie (apology is i spell the names wrong, very beautiful names) Dining staff Mikki was good host and understood when I gave back feed back that Akiko the waitress ignored me 3- 4 times, because I was a single patron at the table and not looking like a big tip to her. She literally skipped around me and asked every other family if they were fine and if they need anything. Also even looked my way but looked away after. Once I finally got the attention of another assistant she brought me the incorrect drink, and I told her thank you for finally recognizing me. (Wasnt a busy morning)I had already gotten my food and basically was close to finishing before she even acknowledged me. I was really needing even water. They should leave a water station or drink station. If the job of these waitresses are to hold us hostage for liquids and have us need them just to carry a glass of refreshments, trade it for a dispensary. I just wanted to have my meal in peace and pay and not have to deal with akiko after the fact of ignoring me and feeling uncomfortable to keep asking me if I wanted a drink after the fact of already close to finishing my meal. Cant blame one bad apple, while others are doing their job well. The busses to universal are on time, and punctual which is nice and appreciated. One of the bus drivers was not in the best of moods but we move on with the day. Rooms were handled well, basic things nothing above or beyond. Beds are super comfy, at least the top floor where I stayed. Parking was efficient and there is plenty of parking. Overall, I would come back here for my next visit to the parks but visit somewhere else in the morning for a better breakfast or meal experience, especially if a gratuity of 18% is automatically placed on my bill for a bad server. No thank you, I can get a fast food place that can do the same with 0% tip and the option to at least water at hand. Thank you front desk.

We stayed here for 3weeks in September. The room was spacious and very clean. It was cleaned every day and fresh towels supplied. Big shout out to the cleaning staff! There is a bar and a shop in the reception area. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Great location for bars and restaurants. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. I would suggest upper floors.
