To add: just found out today... Hotel charges 1 parking price, and when you leave, the parking lot charges you another?!?!?!?!??! INSANE! Where to begin… Unfortunately, the blankets in our room were not clean. We had been in the parks all day and discovered this upon returning, but at that point we simply dealt with it as we were completely exhausted On Friday night, after a long day, we attempted to dine at the hotel restaurant. We were seated and informed staff where we were sitting, but no one acknowledged us for 15 minutes. When someone finally did bring menus, they said they would return—yet another 10 minutes passed without any service. The restaurant was not busy, so we ultimately left to eat elsewhere. On Saturday morning, we visited the hotel café. The two employees working were noticeably unfriendly, unapproachable, and unhelpful. It made us uncomfortable to even ask simple questions. On Saturday night, we had to walk from Universal back to the hotel because the last shuttle from CityWalk leaves at 8:40 p.m., despite the park staying open until 10 p.m. Expecting guests to walk that distance late at night feels unsafe, unfair, and frankly surprising for a hotel of this caliber. The parking charge of $33 per day is extremely high. We were already paying to stay at what is considered a higher-end hotel, and then to be charged such a steep additional fee feels unreasonable. We stayed for two nights, yet our final bill reflected $108 in parking charges. Even accounting for tax, the math does not make sense. DoubleTree is a reputable brand and not an inexpensive place to stay, so the level of service we experienced was disappointing. I truly hope the hotel can do better moving forward.

My boyfriend and I truly enjoyed our stay here last weekend. Overall we recommend this place for those of you who are visiting island of adventure and epic Universal. Service: The breakfast buffet here has a wide variety of choices. I was pleasantly surprised that it offers cooked to order omelets. Samar, the lady who prepared our omelet and eggs was especially lovely and helpful. I would also recommend those of you who are celebrating special occasions to stay here. When we told the concierge that we are celebrating a birthday, we were given a “special gift” (they do check your ID so make sure that you are actually celebrating!!) Shout out to front desk Hakeem for making our stay extra memorable. Location: 15min very scenic walk to Island of adventure. This is such a relief to us after the park closed and there was a humongous line waiting for uber. We simply walked! Last but not least, don’t forget to pack swimsuits and flip flops to take advantage of their nice pools and jacuzzi. Don’t make the same mistake that we did!

Stayed at Hilton DoubleTree for EDC Orlando. The hotel is a bit dated but the front desk staff were really helpful. They gave us cookies when we asked and they were warmed up, which was a nice touch. The room was clean with comfy beds, clean sheets and towels, and two free water bottles. The AC was broken though and stayed at 54 degrees no matter what we set it to, so it was freezing to sleep all four nights. They advertise a Starbucks on site but it’s been closed for a couple of months. There’s an ice cream parlor, a restaurant, and a café in the courtyard. Breakfast isn’t included and parking was $33 plus tax per night. The location is good, close to Universal and plenty of food options. For EDC, it was a quick walk to the Orange Shuttle stop.

Outstanding location – literally a 10-15 min walk to Universal Studios. Parked once, paid only the hotel’s nightly parking and forgot about the car for 3 days. Saved a fortune vs Universal’s daily rates. Warm cookie at check-in & check-out with friendly staff, clean and comfy rooms with good AC, fridge, and free Wi-Fi. Beds are solid, room is not 5 star – fine for a theme-park hotel, not luxury. Nice onsite amenities. If your priority is being steps from the parks without resort prices, this place is a no-brainer. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

We often stay at this property due to the clean spacious rooms, and convenient location, and I never have had a bad stay. This past stay was absolutely above and beyond, and I just have to mention how kind, bubbly and over the top Diamond at the front desk was. We arrived early after chaos with our flights, she was able to check us in early which we were SO grateful for, but on top of that she made great conversation and was so sweet and friendly every time we past her in the lobby. Loved seeing her each morning, and cannot say enough great things about this property!
