Stayed at Hilton DoubleTree for EDC Orlando. The hotel is a bit dated but the front desk staff were really helpful. They gave us cookies when we asked and they were warmed up, which was a nice touch. The room was clean with comfy beds, clean sheets and towels, and two free water bottles. The AC was broken though and stayed at 54 degrees no matter what we set it to, so it was freezing to sleep all four nights. They advertise a Starbucks on site but it’s been closed for a couple of months. There’s an ice cream parlor, a restaurant, and a café in the courtyard. Breakfast isn’t included and parking was $33 plus tax per night. The location is good, close to Universal and plenty of food options. For EDC, it was a quick walk to the Orange Shuttle stop.

My boyfriend and I truly enjoyed our stay here last weekend. Overall we recommend this place for those of you who are visiting island of adventure and epic Universal. Service: The breakfast buffet here has a wide variety of choices. I was pleasantly surprised that it offers cooked to order omelets. Samar, the lady who prepared our omelet and eggs was especially lovely and helpful. I would also recommend those of you who are celebrating special occasions to stay here. When we told the concierge that we are celebrating a birthday, we were given a “special gift” (they do check your ID so make sure that you are actually celebrating!!) Shout out to front desk Hakeem for making our stay extra memorable. Location: 15min very scenic walk to Island of adventure. This is such a relief to us after the park closed and there was a humongous line waiting for uber. We simply walked! Last but not least, don’t forget to pack swimsuits and flip flops to take advantage of their nice pools and jacuzzi. Don’t make the same mistake that we did!

If I could give a 0 I would. This hotel is ancient and it hasn't been kept up well at all. Dents in the wall, peeling wall paper, decorative glass pieces with 50% of them broken. The check-in took forever. Then I got to the room with the No Smoking sign and I can smell the room without the sign is smoking even though it's supposed to all be non smoking. It's late so I try and call the front desk and the phone doesn't seem to work. I get ready for bed and the toilet breaks and I have to shut the water off. I decide to wait till morning to deal with it given that I'm also not sure what's wrong with the phone. 6:30 I figure out the issue with the phone the line is fraying out of the connector so you have to hold it to hear anything. I call to see if someone can fix the toilet because people are going to need to use it when they're getting up we are told someone will be up in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later I call back and it's clear no one has anything and she asked to describe what the problem is. She then says she will call back. Of course no one called back. Call again and we're told maintenance doesn't come in until after 8am. Ok so take a shower and while it's all old and not that nice at least they have big bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash. They're only great if they have product in them which ours didn't. Also no hair dryer. Finally 8:30 maintenance comes and replaces the entire innerds of the toilet so at least that now works. The only thing about this hotel that wasn't broken was it's location to universal studios. No side walk from the hotel entrance to the ramp over the road last step planning fail. STAY AWARE ELSE!!

Checked in and asked a woman near the elevators where the South tower was. She said she worked for Universal and I should find someone who works there. I told her I must be in the right place because the sign is above her head near the table she set up to sell season passes. Could have been nicer. Got in the elevator and so strong with pot I pulled my shirt over my nose. Hotel itself was great. Good service and housekeeping was #1. Easy access to the park and had to wait till I was out front to call Lyft because they were so fast I would have been late if I called 5 minutes early. Staff was great everywhere we went. Would have liked a shower instead of a tub but it worked so who cares. Very pleased with my stay and would go back tomorrow in a flash.

This was a great hotel, especially for the price. It was a really quick 10-15 minute walk to Universal (obviously depends on your walk speed). I will definitely be staying here the next time I am in town. Everything was always clean, the breakfast buffet had a lot of options, and the little sweet shop in there was perfectly located to "get ya" on the way to the elevator haha. My only complaint is the height of the shower. I am not very tall, and it only hit me at chest height. I had to squat down to fully wash.
