Loved everything about this place. The location is perfect.. not right on the busy strip, just close enough. Walk to Central Park, Time Square, there is subway close as well!! The beds are comfortable and the roof top lounge has the best view!! Really happy I booked here! I would recommend!

FABULOUS stay! This hotel is gorgeous, the room was spacious with an great view, especially at sunset, which you have to catch at the rooftop bar. The happy hour cocktails were also delicious. Great location too, we walked to the park easily and it's near a subway line. Being in the travel industry I can highly recommend this hotel as great value in New York with a great vibe, service and design.

We are just finishing a 3-night stay at the CIVILIAN and will definitely be back! The place has a good vibe. The staff bend over backwards to accommodate you, staying in frequent text communication during your entire stay. The location of the CIVILIAN is perfect! Far enough from Times Square to not be annoyed by it, but close enough to go if you want to. We walked to Hudson Yards, walked to Central Park, walked to the ballet at Lincoln Center. The neighborhood feels very safe.

We stayed at the Civilian at the end of April to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The hotel was perfect! Location was great, our room was clean (albeit small), we felt safe, and the water refill station on our floor was an added bonus! Would definitely recommend this hotel if you plan on seeing a show or are interested in walking to great restaurants and iconic NYC spots!
