I do not normally write reviews, but using reviews as a major decision factor to where we stay this place deserves a review. Usually when something is too good to be true, it is. This resort is the exception. The Hotel was very clean, very accommodating, and overall blew us away! Every restaurant was phenomenal and even the buffet was next level. They have 5 different pools to choose from, 10 different restaurants all of which were included (Some of which you do need to wait, and do not accept reservations), room service, plenty of bars, and a show every night, casino and Huge rooms with good working AC and a ceiling fan (nice added touch!) we were exceptionally surprised and plan on coming back! I will say the ONLY downside, and not even a downside is that it IS NOT in the hotel district and would need to taxi anywhere off the resort, but with how much was to offer we didn’t even need to leave the resort!

There were definitely pros and cons to this resort. We booked through my friends travel agent and she was told this was an adults only resort. They conveniently failed to mention that 90% of the resort is kid friendly and there is a “section” of the resort that is for adults only with a separate pool for adults. They also failed to mention that the one and only adults only pool was going to be completely closed and under construction. The casino was very small with old slots and a couple tables. It was very depressing. The buffet food was mediocre and several restaurants we went to were just not good at all. The food was extremely bland and literally had zero flavor and always came out cold. The rooms were ok and clean enough but the bed was extremely hard, uncomfortable and the only thing over that old, nasty mattress was a thin sheet. Pillows also sucked. The beaches were pretty nice and the only thing that blew me away was how amazing the staff was. They were on top of everything and any request they were more than happy to oblige. Over all I would not recommend this resort to anyone looking and would not go back. I believe there are better resorts in the area for this price point.

A must go for Mexico, a fantastic hotel with multiple cuisines to try, we had a great 10 days there last year and would 100% go back to this hotel.
Food and service were excellent with extremely friendly staff, only issue was having to ask for the water in the room to be topped up (it’s very warm)
Plenty of pools, shops and other activities to get involved in.
Very short drive from the airport, beach has a sea weed problem but the staff are excellent and up early doors to get it cleared.
Only downside in terms of food was the Caribbean restaurant which was disappointing, the portions were very small and the vegetarian options a bit limited. The buffet though was varied and offered pretty much whatever you wanted!

This is not a 5 star resort, even though that's what they claim. We recently stayed here for 5 days and when I was reading the reviews before leaving, I was regretting my choice and wanted to change resorts. And because I know people look at Google reviews when booking, here is my honest review:
Pros:
- The food at the à la carte restaurants was excellent. We ate at the Indian, Sushi and Steakhouse restaurants and they were delicious. Diamond club was 100% worth it for the ability to make reservations.
- The service at the restaurants, from our room butler, from the pool butlers, the pool waiters and the beach butlers was excellent. They take care of you.
- Also great service from housekeeping
- Minimal seaweed on beach
Cons:
- Beach chairs and cabanas: is it really a vacation if someone has to wake up at 5AM to reserve a beach chair? We've been to resorts before, and okay, 7am to drop towels on chairs is fine, but 5am seems excessive. It's essentially anarchy around the pool. And if you're gone for more than 1 hour, they'll give your chair/spot away. Definitely not enough chairs for the amount of people they pack in the resort.
- Water: no cold water bottles anywhere. No cold water at dinner either. It's not Cuba, so I'm not sure what the deal is with this.
- Drinks: watered down and not cold. Also, Mexican coffee. I remember it being better.
- Rooms: dated and yes, there's a smell of some kind.
- Beach: dirty water - no beautiful blue water here
Next time I will listen to Google and my gut - we won't stay here again. Pay the same price and go to a real 5 star.

We have just returned 22.04.24. Initially on arrival we were feeling a bit disappointed. The check in was slightly chaotic. We were not given any information or directions to our room. (All relevant information is found on the tv in the room). On entering the room the first thing we noticed was a smell that we thought was coming from the plumbing. The second thing was the 'view' of a wall with a tatty broken green fence on top and bags of laundry below the window. The table was broken and the doors to the balcony wouldn't lock. We went to reception to report the door and our unhappiness with the room. The response was less than helpful although someone came immediately to fix the door.
The next day we barely noticed the smell and decided the lack of a view was not so important as we were rarely in the room.
The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The double shower was good and the spa bath a touch of luxury. The provision of a hand held steamer instead of an iron divided opinion. The fridge was fully stocked with complimentary drinks and snacks and replenished daily. There was a daily maid service and pool towels freely available all around the pools. The staff were friendly and very helpful and polite.
The buffet offers a huge range of good quality food as well as the several restaurants. I would have liked more vegetarian options in the restaurants.
My one complaint about the buffet is the lack of spoons! I had to ask for one every single time. Same with tea..simply not readily available. When requested I was given one tea bag followed shortly after by a pot of hot water...I had to then ask and wait for some milk. The tea and spoon situation felt quite bizarre.
Overall we had a wonderful time and loved our stay but I don't think the 5 star rating is quite accurate as there is a lack of general maintenance especially around the pool areas.The frustrating lack of spoons and difficulty in acquiring a cup of tea may seem petty but it's pretty basic stuff and shouldn't be an issue.
