Traveler beware!!! This is the first trip to Mexico where I was looking forward for the “vacation” to be over. Our youngest got swimmers ear the second day. I took him to the onsite pharmacy but they required a prescription and recommended we go to the medical clinic next door. Both of these are operated by the hotel. We waited 30 min in the empty clinic without seeing another person. I ended up taking a taxi into Playa and found another pharmacy who sold us the $10 medication over the counter. As he was running a fever I asked if we could take food from the buffet back to the room. They said this was a sanitation issue even though they serve burgers on the beach and tacos by the pool where you can carry this food anywhere on the resort. We ended up having to escalate to guest services who said they’d have breakfast brought to the room for him the next morning, bacon and eggs. That never arrived and when I called back down to the front desk they had no notes about the conversation I had the previous day. My seven year old ended up eating the granola bars my wife brought for his meals like a prisoner…I cannot believe this is the service provided at an “all-inclusive” resort. I’ll also point out that the hotel responds to negative reviews with a request to reach out to their team with no contact info posted by an anonymous “quality manager…” There are too many other amazing hotels nearby to waste your time, money and family vacation here.

We had a wonderful week of family time and relaxation. The food was awesome and service was top notch. We loved the variety of activities near the pools, as well as time spent in quiet relaxation away from all the activities. There are many golf carts available for shuttles to various activities or from your room to the lobby. The hotel staff were all very friendly and worked hard to meet our every request. Javier from the Club was a bright shining face every day and helped navigate us to activities we wanted to do. The entertainment team was friendly and fun providing fun gatherings each evening. We had daily visits from Carlos and Jesus (Star Prestige) during our stay to be sure our stay was going OK We’re sad to leave and already looking forward to our return trip.

Our stay at Iberostar Waves Paraíso Beach was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Everyone—from the front desk to the room attendants and restaurant staff—was friendly, helpful, and quick to accommodate any request. The resort itself is stunning, with beautifully maintained grounds and a clean, inviting beach. There are plenty of bars and food stands conveniently located, so you’re never far from a delicious drink or snack. We loved the jungle-like setting, and getting around was a breeze thanks to the frequent trams and carts. There was never a dull moment with the wide variety of entertainment offered. The nightly shows were fun and lively, gym classes kept us active, and we enjoyed meeting new people through the game groups. A massage at the spa is a must—so relaxing! And don’t miss the fire show—it was a definite highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and memorable vacation. We’ll definitely be back!

Very beautiful property with welcoming and friendly staff. The only critique would be that the food isn't super consistent across restaurants. We had some that was great at one place and others that was average at another. That said, the buffet is definitely the way to go for dinner as it offers a variety of options suitable for vegetarians, gluten free, meat eaters, and to a slightly lesser extent, vegans. I would definitely come back to this hotel and reccomend it to others.

Beautiful, well maintained property. The staff was plentiful and attentive. The room was pretty basic, but bed was comfortable enough and we heard no noise from other guests. The swim up pool and beach tacos were our highlights. All inclusive buffets were well stocked and offered a variety of options each day. It’s worth noting that you’ll be doing a lot of walking on the property - scenic juggle areas between rooms, pools, restaurants but this didn’t bother us as we were welcoming getting our daily steps in between meals! But if you have walking issues this wouldn’t be ideal. There is a golf cart shuttle that runs between properties but we never felt like timing our outings with this service.
