Really enjoyed our time here! If you come, try to get Abel to check you in- he’s awesome! At breakfast at Mercado look for Sergio! He’s also amazing and Abner at the Mexican restaurant was great! The buffet food was really good and we liked the Mexican restaurant so much we went twice! . The service and people and this resort are the best!!!! If you want a tattoo you can go to Ek Balaam and ask for Arturo.. he was awesome and the price wasn’t too bad! Also it’s right on the resort!

Armando was very fun and helpful and really enjoyed hanging out with them! The vacation was great beautiful and clear ocean with a beautiful view! Lots of animals and the black swan by the buffet loved eating watermelon and will come right up to you!!! Very friendly and helpful staff! Very very nice vacation! 😀

Beautiful, huge hotel. So many things are excellent - especially some of the dining options (French and Japanese are stand out), and the pool area. However they need to make big improvements on their evening entertainment, especially with so many guests in a resort with no other options nearby. Especially for a family with teens, it was a real letdown. They also need to ease off the hard sell on 'The Club' from every concierge you speak to.

This is a 3 star resort in Canadian and American standards. The “edit”/response from the resort asking me to come to them with my concerns and perhaps most people do-hence the 4.8 star reviews.The food, drinks and mini bar were a disappointment ( I didn’t drink alcohol everyday nor did I want to eat like I was on holidays) but the grounds were beautiful and tropical. Lots of critters. The staff were generally very friendly. The rooms were a bit dated, stains on the night table lamp, damaged mini bar. The mini bar had 5 or 6 cans replenished daily-beer, soda and carbonated water. At least a 10 minute walk to most places but there are ample drivers with carts to take you to your destination.

Brought a HUGE (10+) family down for Thanksgiving. Grecia at Star Prestige member area was AMAZING working through our complexities and worked HARD to make the trip enjoyable. Grecia spent HOURS managing reservations and supporting the trip. Amazing and well done, can’t wait to come back and spend time on the beach and buffets.
