We are on the way home from this resort and I am thoroughly impressed! This review is not sponsored or coerced in any way. We have stayed at Iberostar in Puerto Plata Dominican Republic and I was not impressed with the experience there. It made me very hesitant to book at one again because they were extremely pushy for buy ups and forced people to write positive reviews (they would literally take your phone out of your hands and do it for you). BUT I am so glad I gave them another shot at this resort. Everything was absolutely incredible! The beach was beautiful, the staff were so friendly/helpful, the food was amazing, and the resort was absolutely stunning! I was so impressed by everything! They did not push us too hard to go to the prestige meeting. We said no and they did not push again. The only complaint I had was that the bed was super firm and caused a bit of back pain but I’m used to a plush bed. Another word for the warning, be prepared to walk. We averaged around 7 miles of walking a day because the resort is that BIG! The best part was that the walk was stunning! The resort has mangroves intertwined within infrastructure which makes breathtaking views everywhere you go. We loved it here and will definitely be back.

Axel and coworkers were amazing! Made our family feel very welcome and included. We really enjoyed foam party and the movie quiz. Great energy and personality!

The staff was so sweet and incredibly friendly, they all seemed to truly love there job and make it a priority to make sure you are having a good time and have what you need. the Activities, specifically pool activities were so so fun. Gabriel and Antonio and all the staff were so fun and funny. there was always something going on and something to do. My only wish is that the app was more clear and the timing and location was right or more clear. overall great :)

Great experience 😀. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food was great and drinks too (shout out to Capitana at Buffet by the Beach, Mayra and Chef at buffet ). Entertainment staff were great. Viviana at Concierge was good. Yoan at Front Desk was helpful and easy to communicate. Pool was nice. Vegetation and animals were amazing.

This was my me and my fiancees first time at an Iberostar resort. I think that the resort is fabulous. I would have given it 5 stars but a few things kept me from giving that last star. First, the good. The facilities are great. The lobby, restaurants, walking paths, pools, beach, all great. I thought that the food was very good. They switched it up each night at the buffet and the other restaurants were also great. The staff was all friendly and attentive. We loved the outdoor seating and seeing all the wildlife. The pools were not ice cold. We loved that. A few things kept us from giving this resort 5 stars. First, the coffee options were not great. They only had some standard coffee machine that made ok coffee. If you are like me and love your caramel macchiato forget about it. No flavored latte here. You get some basic coffee options out of that machine and thats it. Its wasnt horrible, but not 5 stars. The rooms also kepts the rating down for us. Its not that they were horrible, just not 5 star. The bathrooms were nice. The shower was hot. But no bathtub. Thats a letdown. It didnt ruin our trip, but she loves to relax in a bath. No biggie, just not 5 star worthy. Also the outlets or should i say outlet in the room. There was 1. Yep. 1. Thankfully we always bring an extention cord with us, otherwise the phone charging and hair straightening and ironing would have had to have been planned better. So, other than a few very small factors, the resort is amazing. We would go back to an Iberostar again and we actually will go to the one on Cozumel island.
