We had a wonderful stay at the Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana! The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and perfectly maintained - a great mix of comfort and fun for the whole family. The hospitality was top-notch from start to finish; every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. A special thank you to Josue for his outstanding service and all the helpful information he provided throughout our stay. He truly made the experience even better. Highly recommend this resort to anyone visiting Punta Cana - we can’t wait to come back!

My family (my husband, our two children, and I) recently stayed at the Nickelodeon Resort in Punta Cana. We chose this resort because of its great reviews and high reputation, but unfortunately, our experience did not meet our expectations. Room & Maintenance: The hotel rooms are in need of renovation. The paint on the walls was peeling, and our toilet wasn’t functioning properly. We called maintenance twice to fix it, but no one ever came, which was disappointing considering the cost of our stay. Food & Dining: The food was another major issue. The buffet offered breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but the quality was poor. Most of the food was seafood—which I don’t eat—and the non-seafood options were cold, dry, and didn’t taste fresh. Breakfast was the only meal I somewhat enjoyed because it had a bit more variety. Room service food was also below average. For the price of this resort, I expected much better food quality. Pool & Environment: There was also a big issue with bees around the pool areas. There were so many that it made it uncomfortable to relax or enjoy a drink outside. At one point, my husband was even stung by a bee. This really took away from what should have been a relaxing experience. Staff & Service: One of the highlights of our trip was the friendliness of the staff. I want to give a special thank you to Luis, Francisco, Danny, Johan, Leo, and Hangler. These gentlemen went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable despite the other issues we encountered. Their kindness truly made a difference during our stay. Activities & Entertainment: Our kids enjoyed seeing the characters and playing in the pool, which was one of the few enjoyable parts of our trip. The resort definitely caters well to children’s entertainment. Sales Presentation Experience: Another disappointing part of our stay was the so-called “presentation” we were encouraged to attend. We were told it would last 90 minutes and that we’d receive coupons and perks for attending. Instead, it lasted nearly two hours and felt like a high-pressure sales pitch for a membership. We were told that the deposit required for the membership would be refundable if we canceled within five days. However, when I canceled on day three due to financial reasons, I was informed that the deposit was actually non-refundable because it was considered an “administrative fee.” This was very misleading and upsetting. Overall Impression: Overall, while the staff we met were wonderful and my kids had fun, the resort itself did not live up to its reputation or price point. Between the outdated rooms, poor food quality, bee problem, and misleading sales presentation, I left feeling disappointed. I hope management takes feedback like this seriously because this resort has potential—but right now, it falls short of what guests are promised.

We came here from Miami to celebrate with our family of 14. The rooms were nice but the tv and elevators were not working- the latter was very disappointing as parents with strollers were forced to carry them up and down the stairs. Besides that as a mom with a child with multiple food allergies I was very pleased with the staff at the buffet who went above and beyond creating dishes that he could eat. Thank you to Joel, Lamuel and Amaury for making it a safe and enjoyable meal.

⭐️ 2 out of 5 — Declining Quality Since 2023 Stay This resort has definitely gone downhill since my last visit in 2023. I’ll start with the negatives — the biggest issue was finding a roach in the bathroom! When I reported it, the supervisor, Julio, completely dismissed my concern, saying “this used to be a jungle” and implying it wasn’t a big deal since the room wasn’t dirty. Totally unacceptable for a so-called 5-star property. Next, I had booked a package that included resort credits, which I planned to use for a room upgrade. When I arrived, I was told there were no credits on my account. I showed Francisco my confirmation from Karisma that clearly listed them, but he refused to honor it and said I’d have to wait until the next day to speak with a manager. The following day, the manager did confirm that I did have resort credits — exactly as I’d said. However, by that point, we had to move rooms midday and cancel the plans we had made, all because it wasn’t handled properly during check-in. This could have and should have been resolved right away. While the resort is family-friendly and a few staff members were genuinely great, the overall service, cleanliness, and attention to detail no longer reflect a true 5-star experience. For the price you pay here, you should expect far better quality and professionalism.

⭐️⭐️ 2 Stars — Disappointing Experience at Nickelodeon Punta Cana We stayed at Nickelodeon Resort Punta Cana for one week in October, and unfortunately, it was a big disappointment. The food was terrible — especially the buffet. The only restaurants we actually enjoyed were the Asian and Italian ones. Everything else was awful, and to make things worse, my husband, my 3-year-old, and I all ended up with food poisoning. It seemed like we went during their slow season because besides the water park, the nighttime character appearances, and some face painting, there wasn’t much else to do for young kids. Each night, only one restaurant was open, and after our experience, we didn’t trust the buffet anymore. We’ve been to many all-inclusive resorts, especially in Mexico, and the difference in hospitality and attention to detail was very noticeable. The staff at Nickelodeon seemed short-staffed and overworked, so I’m giving 2 stars mainly because of them — they were doing their best with what they had. Also, anything not included in the package was ridiculously expensive. Overall, we would not recommend this resort to anyone. Definitely not worth the price.
