The first thing i noticed was 5 mins after being in the room with my shoes off, my feet were black. I could feel how filthy the floor was, that kind if made me feel weird from the start. We arrived at around 5pm and were told we need to make reservations for the restaurants through the qr code. All the restaurants were booked out for the first 3 days of our trip which meant we had to eat at the buffet; breakfast lunch and dinner for that time. The food was terrible at the buffet. The first 2 restaurants we tried were quite average/ not very good (mexican and tapas) However the italian was amazing, had some very good options. The last restaurant we went to was ‘on the grill’ my partner ordered medium and i ordered medium rare and both steaks were rare. Good flavour tho. The alcohol was alright, they always put a lot of alcohol in the drinks, however the alcohol was bad quality. The tequila, vodka and gin all tasted the same. If you can get a good deal and you dont care about good food, i would recommend. The activities they had were so much fun, The rooms are nice, the beach is beautiful the workers are so nice. DONT BUY EXCURSIONS ONLINE: They have many people in reception that work for these different excursion companies and you can get a much cheaper price through them especially if you buy 2 or 3 from the same person.

Overall, Impressive Punta Cana is a good hotel. The rooms were clean, the organization around the resort was nice, and the beach was amazing — definitely one of the best parts of the stay. The hotel grounds are well maintained, and the staff was generally friendly and polite. Plus the activities are very good! The biggest negative point was transportation, especially to and from the airport. The hotel does not offer a shuttle service and provides no real assistance for arrival or departure. Transportation was chaotic when we arrived at the airport, and we almost got left behind. You really have to figure everything out on your own. If you’re stuck at the airport or trying to leave, the hotel does not help — you’re basically on your own. Another serious issue was the excursion sellers inside the hotel. Prices appeared to vary depending on the guest, and in some cases were significantly inflated. There was a lot of pressure to pay immediately, including rushing guests to the ATM, which was extremely uncomfortable. In my case, the seller stood next to me at the ATM, attempted to handle my bank card, and tried to select a savings withdrawal himself. He withdrew 12,000 Dominican pesos, saying he would return with change, but never did, even after we asked for it. While this kind of behavior might unfortunately be expected outside the resort, it is completely unacceptable from people operating inside the hotel. This experience seriously affected our sense of safety and trust.

Our stay at the Impressive Premium Resort & Spa was truly memorable and made our honeymoon extra special! From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and eager to help — even those who spoke less English went out of their way to assist us with directions and anything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a beautiful beach-facing room. The variety of food options and daily activities was excellent, and the shows each night were definitely worth both the time and money. The drinks at the Premium Beach were fantastic, and the bartenders were amazing with a bit of swagger to their service which added personality. Special recognition to the kitchen, service, and housekeeping teams — you can tell they take real pride in their work. A very special thank-you to our butler, Jose Tema, who checked in with us daily to ensure we were enjoying our honeymoon and continuously offered ways to make it even better. Jose and the team went above and beyond by decorating our room and turning it into a truly special occasion. That kind of world-class service is something we’ll never forget. We’d also like to mention Luis Vega, our destination service representative, who clearly explained the transportation process to ensure we didn't miss our flight and gave us great advice to make the most of our trip. While the resort was undergoing some construction during our stay, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. It’s an amazing place to visit, and we loved all the different restaurant options that they had, enough for us to try a different style of restaurant each night. I’d highly recommend this resort to anyone — especially if you’re lucky enough to have Jose as your butler!. An amazingly friendly guy who was very humble to his core.

We arrived from London on an evening flight. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a huge queue at check-in and had to wait around 35–50 minutes. When it was finally our turn the staff barely spoke English and during check-in they tried to pressure us into upgrading to a “premium” service for $500 claiming our room would be very far from everything. We refused — and rightly so — as without the upgrade everything was only about a 2minute walk away including the beach and restaurants. When we entered the room there was a strong damp moldy smell. We found a bug inside the wardrobe and the ceiling showed clear signs of water damage. In the bathroom after showering water flooded the entire floor reaching ankle level. We reported this but were told that this is “normal” here. Above the toilet there was a plastic ventilation cover from which water dripped every single day from the room above which was extremely unpleasant especially when using the toilet. The bed linen smelled very bad every day even though it was changed regularly — the only positive thing was that the bed itself was comfortable. The balcony and the view were fine. To go to the beach you had to exchange towels but on some days there were no towels available and we had to wait until other guests returned theirs. The beach itself was fairly maintained but extremely overcrowded with people lying almost on top of each other. The sea water was very dirty making it difficult to enjoy swimming. In the restaurants the food quality was generally acceptable but far from appetizing, as many dishes were covered with flies. The Dominican Republic is beautiful and we really enjoyed the country but if we ever return we will definitely not stay at this hotel again.

What a lovely resort, we have been here for 4 days so far and I’m from the UK so might differ my opinion compared to other American reviews. The pools are great, warm and they have activities in the pool to keep you entertained during the day. Though the floor is very crumbly and paint chipped everywhere but doesn’t ruin the overall experience of the pool. The beach is stunning that the hotel owns, like a little paradise there’s a bar on the beach as well just before you go onto it. All the drinks are exceptional for an all inclusive hotel (I’ve stayed in all inclusive and they’ve always been really crappy) but these ones are nice, they do slushy pina coladas and daiquiris and whole menu of inclusive cocktails, rums, tequilas, gin and tonic and so on. There’s reps everywhere selling excursions and you can get them cheaper to what you’ve found on GetYourGuide. The food is delicious that they have here, breakfast was my favourite there are so many options for food plenty of fresh fruits and different food every night and they also do freshly stone baked pizza every day. The rooms are okay, the thing is the rooms are decent nothing amazing but beds are comfy you get a little balcony but the bedroom smells musty especially when you turn on the air con. Also if you miss dinner there’s a snack bar open till 2am near the pool! This was very handy for us as we arrived at midnight and was really hungry it was a saviour!!
