Impressive Premium Punta Cana

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights in August. Sadly we had to leave due to the hotel not having hot water. There was little communication from the hotel about the issue, resulting in us requesting a transfer. Beautiful grounds-palm trees, beautiful plants and luscious green plants. People are friendly-limited English, but you find your way. Our room was large and really lovely. The shower was huge! Good entertainment, lots of energy and something for everybody. Food was OK, limited buffet, but everyone will find something they like. Pizza was top notch. Cons Some areas in need of restoration. Better communication when things are not right-such as no hot water across the resort. Buffet restaurant can be a tad stressful with people trying to get to food, also so hot in there. We were premium and preferred to eat in the premium area for breakfast, fewer people and a little cooler. Booking restaurants was a mission-even our butler couldn't manage it! We ate in the Mexican, was not great. Hot in there and food not good. We enjoyed eating at the grill for breakfast, mainly as you could see the sea. Lobby bar at night-good fun, full of energy, but extremely busy. Overall I had a lovely time at Impressive. Would I return? No sadly. We were moved to a hotel that was better in terms of service and food, and so it highlighted what Impressive was lacking. That said I can tell Impressive want to up their game and hope things will improve year on year.

Really nice complex,but does need some maintenance. For example the pools are need of a re paint. Lovely restaurants,but limited choice in some of the menus. I'm addition other than the buffets,you need to book meals in advance. Premier customers are allocated a ' butler ', however,ours, unfortunately put minimal effort in and did not book restaurants as requested. Staff on the whole are really friendly and helpful. Nice bars,but again limited and in busy times, minimal bar staff. Rooms are spacious and thanks to the amazing cleaning team are kept spotless.

DO NOT COME HERE. As a Canadian who has been to many other resorts in DR I would not recommend this resort to my loved ones even for free and it’s for the following reasons. 1. There is no AC anywhere we had two rooms at this resort and both of our AC units were not working we called down to service it and they “fixed” it, however it still was not working keep in mind 27+ degrees c. In addition there is NO AC IN THE BUFFET meaning all the food sitting in the buffet was sitting in boiling hot weather condition and not cooled properly. One of my loved ones actually got sick from the food there the last night and was vomiting. 2. The resort is simply dirty as you can see in the photos dust collecting everywhere in the room, the pools were not cleaned, two nights out of our 5 our room was not clean as they forgot. 3. The staff is simply rude to English speaking people. I noticed quickly that it would take 10+ minutes to get a drink as the bartender was focused on only Spanish speaking people, this behaviour continued at the buffet where staff was not happy that we did not speak Spanish even when we tried to communicate with the Spanish we knew. 4. They were not able to accommodate to ANY of our needs. Which included a central building as my grandma is elderly and cannot walk long distances and connecting rooms. They instead put us in the furtherest building possible. 5. Lastly, our water completely shut up for an entire day. We had no water to shower with or use the toilet this issue has happened to other guest during different stays as well. Overall, we still managed to make the most of our trip and enjoy our vacation as a family. However, I would never come back!!!!

Just checked into impressive Punta Cana Ocean View room. What part of the ocean do you see? We paid extra for this! Pablo at the front desk really came through! Check out the view from our new room! We now have an awesome ocean view! The tropical grounds are gorgeous with flowers and well maintained. But that isn't the best part. Robinson in the main buffet took us under his care and made us feel very special. He was not only our waiter but became our friend. That encapsulated the attitude of just about every one of the workers, including Andreia, and Henry. They were very friendly and always there offering assistance when needed. We even had one of the activities people explain sea grapes to us and picked a few for us to sample. All in all, if you are questioning whether you should come here, hesitate no longer! If you want to be treated special or like family, this is the place book. Impressive is certainly a 5/5 in not only beauty, but hospitality with a smile! Come, let's play!

Hello We have been coming to this resort for 6 times and planning to go for a seventh in December. We like that it is not too big. Everything is easy access. Buffet very good. Restaurants are good. The Italian and the Grill are our favourites. We are beach people so we hardly use the pools even if they are nice. At the beach there are ALWAYS lounge chairs compared to other resorts. Rooms are nice. We always take pool view. We are always happy to see Esperanza & Karen at the buffet. We also had Francisco at the buffet and the Grill.Funny guy and hard worker. And I cannot forget our sommelier Alexander who always recommends a good wine. We are happy with the service overall. When a problem occurs they have been very good in addressing it. We come back for the resort and the people we have made friends with. Yves & Nicole
