Our stay at the Impressive Premium Resort & Spa was truly memorable and made our honeymoon extra special! From the moment we arrived, the staff were friendly and eager to help — even those who spoke less English went out of their way to assist us with directions and anything we needed. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a beautiful beach-facing room. The variety of food options and daily activities was excellent, and the shows each night were definitely worth both the time and money. The drinks at the Premium Beach were fantastic, and the bartenders were amazing with a bit of swagger to their service which added personality. Special recognition to the kitchen, service, and housekeeping teams — you can tell they take real pride in their work. A very special thank-you to our butler, Jose Tema, who checked in with us daily to ensure we were enjoying our honeymoon and continuously offered ways to make it even better. Jose and the team went above and beyond by decorating our room and turning it into a truly special occasion. That kind of world-class service is something we’ll never forget. We’d also like to mention Luis Vega, our destination service representative, who clearly explained the transportation process to ensure we didn't miss our flight and gave us great advice to make the most of our trip. While the resort was undergoing some construction during our stay, it didn’t take away from the overall experience. It’s an amazing place to visit, and we loved all the different restaurant options that they had, enough for us to try a different style of restaurant each night. I’d highly recommend this resort to anyone — especially if you’re lucky enough to have Jose as your butler!. An amazingly friendly guy who was very humble to his core.

Our stay at Impressive Resort & Spa (10/1–10/4/25) was very disappointing. My husband surprised me with a short trip to Punta Cana, but from check-in things went downhill. Gio, assigned to “assist” us, tried to get us to attend a timeshare pitch instead of helping with dinner reservations. Our first room was plain, hot, and damp — tiles and sheets were wet, and the AC never worked despite multiple calls. After hours of waiting, we were moved to another building (no elevator) where the AC also didn’t work and towels were dirty. Guest services was unhelpful, blaming us for “calling the wrong number” even though we followed directions. We were told to check out at noon and back in at 3:00, wasting another day. The third room still had no AC, smelled moldy, and only had hot water — then no water for three hours due to plumbing issues. The pool was dirty and cracked. The only positive was the buffet food and the kindness of Altagracia, who made us great lattes. Otherwise, customer service was terrible, rooms uncomfortable, and management offered no real compensation. Not impressive at all — we don’t recommend this resort.

Upon entering the rooms, we were shocked and disappointed. They looked nothing like the pictures. The rooms were in desperate need of maintenance; everything was old and broken. We struggled to open the wardrobe and cabinet drawers, with some even falling apart when we tried to open them. The fridge door was broken as well. While the condition of the furniture was concerning, the real issue was the cleanliness of the rooms. The bed frame was dirty, and the mattress was disgustingly stained and covered only by a bed sheet that kept coming undone. Additionally, the resort does not use duvet covers; instead, they sandwich the duvet between two bed sheets. This arrangement caused the sheets to separate during the night, leaving us waking up to a filthy duvet. We requested a change, but the staff said there was nothing they could do. Another problem was the air conditioning unit, which ran continuously and was positioned to blow directly in our faces, ultimately making us ill with the flu. We asked for assistance again, but the handyman they sent did nothing, despite our insistence. Throughout our stay, the staff was rude and appeared frustrated. They often ignored us when we needed assistance, such as when we requested a table or water, and they were reluctant to speak English. Be cautious with the tours offered at the reception or on the resort's premises. If you're a first-time visitor, you might be deceived. Additionally, watch out for Gabriel, who claims to pay commissions to the “manager” which is not trustworthy either. He pressures guests to purchase from them, saying that they might not return if they opt for local excursion options. Gabriel also misrepresented an excursion we agreed upon, providing something different. We booked an excursion with locals and it was way better, with better attitude and prices. Unfortunately this holiday didn’t feel like a holiday, and even though we loved Dominican Republic our impressions have changed & we are not returning back anymore.

We were a little bit scared when we started reading the reviews but this is like every place, some people has really bad experiences and they always gonna try to people stop going there. The hotel is simple but really cute , the price is affordable for big groups, the food is good, the have a lot of options besides the buffet, the cocktails are good and good options too, the check in was the perfect time. Yes, the rooms need some improvement and remodeling for sure but they were cleaned all the time! The STAFF is the main reason for 5 star review , they make this hotel a 5 star; they are always happy to help, they are smiling, making jokes, making u feel in vacation. So if you see a bad reviews is because people is super rude with staff.

My main issue with this place is service and availability. They don’t let you take food back from any place and their room service took anywhere from 1-2 hours to deliver. Had to check food carefully as many items were undercooked. “All Inclusive” is daytime only. Unless they have an event at night by 10 most bars are closed, only 2 in the entire place are open. By 11 there is 1 bar open with one bartender for the entire resort. I would be ok with that if they gave us beer for our room, unfortunately they give you 2 pony beers in your fridge and they do not refill, you also can’t room service beer. Lastly the staff was not super friendly to Americans. They definitely preferred Spanish speakers.
