This was the second time we've stayed at the hotel. The first time was fabulous, the second ... well wasn't without faults. We booked (and paid a hefty Tui charge) for an ocean view room. Unless we had our own gardener to cut down the extensive greenery between us and the sea, as well as having a pair of strong binoculars ... well there'd be no chance of seeing the sea. The first room we had we found a plug socket dangerously hanging off the wall and the air con just didn't work. And so we spoke with reception ... and they couldn't have been nicer. They agreed the room choice was poor on their behalf .. they said the room will be now out of service until they've rectified the faults we raised. And the hotel then moved us to a fabulous room. Smack bang in front of the sea. The hotel took what could have been a real negative and turned around into a real positive. Another point to share, I had issue getting onto the hotel wifi. The reception staff and their IT manager tried for an hour and wouldn't give up till they'd cracked this and got me the access I needed. I would recommend this hotel .. without hesitation.

Beautiful location….lush tropical landscaping throughout resort. The beach is beautiful to walk on but would not swim in the water as it is cloudy due to river but thoroughly enjoyed the pool. The entertainment staff was amazing and so energetic. Loved the water aerobics everyday with Luis A and rest of team. The rooms could use some upgrading with bathroom doors and exterior doors but they were prompt to address concerns. Our last night was met with a big smile from a wonderful young man named Nathaniel…such a pleasure! Overall I would return if you are looking for a place not over crowded and place to relax, this is it!

All in all, it is a nice hotel. Service: everyone is so nice and kind, they seem to enjoy their work. The atmosphere is really nice, especially thanks to the animators. Activities: Theres lots of programme at this Resort, so you won't be left bored! from beach parties over bingo and aerobics to shows in the theater almost every night. Amazing activities for kids too. It can get loud if you're near thw lobby. You can also book a snorkeling/diving tour to catalina (highly recommended although its a bit pricey!! clearest water I've seen) which brings me to the next point. Beach: white sands, comfortable sunbeds with umbrellas.. but the water isn't clear. Its infact very dirty. We visited December and got stung by jellyfish multiple times. Thankfully the doc at the pool had vinegar water ready. Food: the buffet is fresh and plenty. Theres a buffet in the lobby, a smaller one at the beach and "restaurants" yiu can book a few times during your trip for free. The food is usually very good with themes every dinner, but the restaurants.. i cant recommend, especially the italian. Staff is amazing but the food just wasn't. Rooms: people weren't lying when they said they need to be renovated. Although there rooms are spacious and beds are comfortable, esp. the bathrooms need to be renovated. For some reason noone gets a toilet brush?? The paint comes off the tub and glass door doesn't stay, showerhead doesn't stay in place. Mirror looks broken at the edges. Room service was great, alwqys stocked up the minibar, fresh towels, clean beds. I just don't think the floor gets cleaned well, since our feet were always black. AC switch was broken so it stayef on the ENTIRE STAY. it also sometimes didnt cool, and leaked water. There was multiple power outages during our stay. some short, some quite long. Bars: amazing personell. great drinks. Sanitary. cute cats roaming the resort. Area: REMOTE. You can't really get nowhere besides the cave near the resort (check that out). Instead of booking expensive tours, get uber to sights and cities. Dont roam around alone as a tourist tho. Safety: we felt safe during our stay. other: note that you can buy postcards and stamps but theres nowhere to send anything off.... (the stqff said this)

We recently stayed at this resort for one week which was very relaxing. We enjoyed every minute in our stay, on the beach and every where we go . All the staff were very friendly throughout the the entire resort. The food was amazing with variety to choose from. The room was very clean. The entertainment was good and engaging. We had a lovely time. Highly recommended.
