First time here, the beach and water is amazing. The buffets so far are better than the restaurants you book. You really don't need to fight for a lounge chair unless you arrive after 10am. The staff are friendly and the grounds is kept well. The rooms are also beautiful just a little humid

Overall, Grand Bavaro Princess is a very good hotel. The property is well maintained, the staff is friendly, responsive, and always willing to help. The cuisine is tasty and leans toward European standards, which was a pleasant surprise. The only downside was the hotel’s policy regarding towel replacement — or rather, the lack of a clear one. Every morning used towels were taken away, but clean ones were not automatically provided. As a result, we had to call the reception almost every evening to ask for fresh towels, which became a bit frustrating over time. Initially, I planned to leave 4 stars, but I ultimately gave 5 stars thanks to Jose Luis R., who works as a bartender at the beach restaurant. His cocktails are truly exceptional — perfectly balanced, prepared with proper technique, and made with genuine passion and professionalism. After experiencing such dedication and love for his craft, I simply couldn’t rate the hotel lower. I would strongly encourage management to truly value this employee, as he is one of your hotel’s best ambassadors and someone who genuinely enhances your reputation. I highly recommend all guests to order cocktails and drinks specifically from Jose Luis R. at the beach restaurant near the children’s playground — you won’t be disappointed.

The hotel is located in a beautiful forest with lots of birds, animals, ponds and palm trees. The beach is truly amazing, with white sand, blue water, enough umbrellas and sunbeds for the guests. There are plenty of options for food and drinks with no queues. The staff is helpful, the rooms are spacious. The only drawback are the mosquitoes inside the room/bathroom, but repellents seemed to work.

We had a very nice stay at Bávaro Princess Resort. The family section was great for a family of four. Our room was spacious with a king bed, bunk beds, and a trundle bed if needed. The bathroom was a bit small, but not a major issue. A big plus was the kids’ waterpark and the family restaurant, which was much less crowded at breakfast. The resort grounds were beautiful and well maintained, and we loved that it feels like both a resort and a nature preserve. The kids enjoyed seeing the tropical birds around the property. The beach was excellent, white sand and turquoise water, especially on sunny/calm days. It truly lived up to the photos, which isn’t always the case. Food was typical for an all-inclusive. Breakfast was fine, lunch was decent (although the hamburgers were bad), and dinner was very good; especially the steakhouse and Italian restaurant. Alcohol quality was lower than I prefer and caused headaches, so something to keep in mind. Classico (name brand) The evening entertainment, ice cream, and trains around the resort were a hit with the kids. Their staff were semi polite to the guests, however our waitress Elena each morning at the family breakfast restaurant was lovely! Overall, while it wouldn’t be my first choice, if the price is right, we would consider staying here again!

Beautiful resort. Rooms are great, food is very good. Service staff is very friendly, just poorly trained and understaffed. The only problems with this resort can be traced directly to management and a desire of corporate to keep profits high at the expense of customer service. All and all still worthwhile, but they are starting to slip...
