We have had the most amazing experience here ! The manager Ana has been so great with accommodating my gluten allergy! Franklin has been amazing with my two young boys who are a bit rambunctious! Feel like we are connecting with family when we head there for our lunch! Always greeted with smiles and warm welcomes. Remembering our drinks and my order for lunch! We were here 6 months ago and Ana remembers us the second we came in.

We've stayed at multiple Barcelo locations in Mexico and this one surprisingly was the worst. The room was pretty and had an ok view. But we needed to get room service to bring up sheets and blankets for the two day beds. The rooms were organized and stocked daily. The service on the other hand was disappointing. We've never had this bad of a service from start to finish. Staff are not friendly. It seams like they avoid you. I can count on my hand how many staff were genuine and attentive. And that was the staff at the premium check in and 2 staff at the buffet. At the other Barcelo locations we usually get a gift the first day of being at the hotel. We did not get it this time. When asked about it, it felt like we had to push it to get it. In the end on the last day there we got a plate with 2 chocolate covered roses and a travel size bottle of champagne. Keep in mind we were supposed to get a basket of fruit. They don't come ask if you want a drink at the pool. You have to go to them. And when you do they are annoyed. When you want to check on extra activities and transportation for the activities, the staff there is rude and annoyed of you just for asking basic questions. The hotel is kid friendly but it felt more like a party spot for young adults. And maybe that's why the staff are the way they are at this location. We won't be coming back to this specific location. And not everything is included in this all inclusive resort. They have a bowling alley, water park and a few other activities you need to pay for.

This was my third time to this beautiful resort. This time we brought some friends of ours to experience it with us. Every morning and most lunches we dined at the Caribe buffet. Our server Darinel Gomez greeted us every morning with a table big enough for our large party of 8. He was always quick with refills and clearing plates. He is honestly one of the main reasons why we have returned and will continue to return and recommend to all all of our friends and family. Thank you Darinel for being so amazing year after year.

The service at the Caribe buffet was very good. All of the servers were very friendly and helpful. However, there is not a lot of food for people that are vegan and gluten free. I suggest having more vegan options.

The staff at Restaurant Buffet Caribe are delightful and attentive… many trying to even learn names of guests always kind and helpful! The food is good, with diverse options for various diets, but too often comes in pre-packaged containers (especially breakfast) adding to the plastic issue. It’s hard to believe such a grand hotel doesn’t have water-refill stations for drinking water throughout the property… still uses plastic bottles. A huge upgrade is needed. Also would be nice to have vegan milks and yogurts available… alternatives at coffee station and ice cream station.
