Had a great week here over Xmas! The only thing keeping it from being a 5* is the beach and chair saving. We've stayed at several Hyatt all-inclusives in the last year and this one had the best food by far. Drinks were tasty with good liquor choices. What really made this place tho is the staff. I'm not one to usually name people in reviews but Carlos by the pool took care of us all week. A genuinely nice guy who kept our drinks full and anything we needed he delivered with a smile. Angel the F&B concierge was also great. We got cabanas a few days and he made sure we were taken care of. Those two really stood out ...but overall everyone we dealt with were great. Only issue we had was at check in. We had 4 rooms and things got a bit mixed up ....but it all worked out. For the price it's a great resort. Only drawback is the beach is basically un-swimmable. But we had 3 kids (9,10,13) and the water park more than made up for the beach in their eyes. They spent hours there most days. In some ways it was better as the adults didn't need to watch them the way we would have if they were swimming in the open ocean.

I’ve been staying at this hotel in Mexico for about four days now, and I wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, a few things have really stood out in a negative way. First of all, the behavior of some of the staff, especially the male staff working around the outdoor areas, bars, and the buffet restaurant, has been extremely rude and unpleasant. They’re often ill-mannered and even shout at guests if you ask for something. It’s really off-putting and makes you feel quite uncomfortable. I don’t know who manages this hotel, but they really need to address how the service staff treat their guests. Secondly, there’s a real lack of efficiency when it comes to the buffet. For example, at breakfast, you might wait 30 minutes just to get hot water for tea or coffee, and they bring it out in such small quantities that you have to wait ages if you need more than one cup. It feels like they have plenty of resources, but they’re just not making them available efficiently. Also, when they do something like a barbecue outside, there’s a huge line as if you’re waiting for a charity handout. It’s just not organized well at all. Another downside is the lack of space to walk around. The area you can stroll in is really small, maybe a 10-minute walk at most. And once it gets dark around 6 or 7 PM, raccoons come out all over the place, making it impossible to stay outside. You basically have to retreat to your room early. The rooms themselves are nothing special either. For example, our bathroom drain was clogged for the first two days, and the shower button was broken. It’s definitely not a luxurious experience. On the positive side, the location and the view are beautiful, and some of the food, especially the meats in the restaurants, is quite tasty. But overall, these positives don’t make up for the major inconveniences.

I would like to share a very detailed review of this hotel, starting with the beach. The hotel’s beach and sea are not suitable for swimming at all. If you are expecting the bright turquoise water and soft white sand that you typically see in pictures, you will not find that here. The water is muddy, the beach is not attractive, and the sea is simply not swimmable. So if you are choosing this hotel primarily for its beach, that option is completely off the table. Regarding the rooms, they are spacious and generally well-designed, but they have a strong damp smell. Housekeeping is poorly managed. When we checked into our room, the drawers and surfaces were covered with dust, which clearly showed that the housekeeping standards are not good. Another issue is the design of the hallways: the way the corridors are built amplifies noise significantly. You can hear people talking as they walk by, and even the sound of the toilet flushing in the neighboring room is very audible. The walls are thin, the rooms are noisy, and the entire hotel is loud. If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay, especially inside your room, this hotel will not provide that. As for the pool, the water was not very clean. I went into the pool wearing a white swimsuit, and when I came out it had turned noticeably yellow, which clearly indicates poor water quality and insufficient filtration. Overall, the hotel cannot be considered clean or luxurious by any reasonable standard. The best aspect of this hotel is the food quality. The food is clean and well prepared, and we experienced no food poisoning or digestive issues during our one-week stay. Even the alcoholic beverages were good and caused no problems. However, the breakfast buffet and the main buffet lack variety, and many items are not refilled once they run out, which is disappointing. On the positive side, restaurants such as Vivace (Italian) and Miyako (Japanese) were excellent, and the staff in those restaurants were very friendly. However, when you call staff to refill the minibar or request service in your room, it often takes a long time for someone to come. On one occasion, we asked for water during a minibar refill, and the staff member simply never returned. Overall, these are the key things I can share about this hotel based on my experience.

If you're looking for a beach, look elsewhere! There is no beach area here. Don't even think about going swimming in the filthy ocean next to this resort (brown water filled with moss). Long lines for every restaurant including the buffet and a very small buffet, about a third of the size of other Dreams resorts we have visited. Service is extremely slow and they are understaffed in restaurants and bar areas. When you finally get into a restaurant, half of the restaurant is empty because there are not enough servers. It took 40 minutes to get our food after we ordered dinner last night and they brought us items we didn't order and never brought us items we did order. The seafood restaurant, which is open for lunch only, serves shrimp in almost every dish which is basically inedible because it's soaked in so much lemon juice you can't taste the food. Junior suite pool view is advertised as direct access to the pool area out your door with pictures of first floor rooms. They gave us tropical view 4th floor and tried to charge us extra to get first floor rooms as advertised and paid for through Delta Vacations. We've stayed at numerous all-inclusive resorts in Cancun and Punta Cana and this resort is nowhere near a five star resort. I'd give it two at most.

We stayed here for 6 days. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. The room we stayed in was very nice and spacious. The bed was super comfy. Room was clean as well. The food was okay. Best restaurant would be the hibachi at the Asian restaurant. The breakfast buffet was good. Downside was there was no beach at all. The ocean was very dirty. If you’re looking for a resort to lay on the beach and swim in the ocean this isn’t the place. There wasn’t much to do during the day or in the evenings for adults other than drink. There were lots of little kids here so it was always noisy. If you’re looking for more of an adults only experience this wouldn’t be the resort for you.
