First time here for a wedding and it was a nice hotel to have one here. The rooms and resort are fairly new so that’s a plus. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. The food is just okay. Most of the buffet food in the morning wasn’t that hot unless you got a made to order scrambled egg. The only restaurant for dinner I was able to try was the hibachi place. They had decent food, kinda salty and the portions were just enough for 2 to share. The mixed drinks at the bars are a little watered down to me so either drink it straight or just drink beer or wine.

ALL AROUND 5 STARS!!! Unico is the definition of luxury. We went here for our honeymoon and the ONLY thing I would change, was staying longer. The room service food was SO GOOD!!! It was just as good of quality as the actual restaurants on the resort. You had a tablet in your room you could order from with pictures of the food. The restaurants were AMAZING, I’m super picky about the quality of food I eat and I have 0 complaints. Our concierge Mendoza was FANTASTIC. He checked in us every day and helped us book our excursions. The house keeping and all of the bartenders and wait staff are SO NICE and my husband made friends with all the bartenders on our trip. He misses Jonathan and Mr Anderson from the pool bar. The spa was very clean and professional. We had a couples massage, facials, and used their saunas/pools. It was very relaxing and very clean. The pool was amazing, they have a pool party daily where they play great music. The swim up bar was our favorite spot. They also have bathrooms by the pool and they were very clean. It says a lot when the bathrooms by the pool are kept so clean, the entire resort is so awesome. I would live there if I could and we are already talking about going back. If you are looking for an adult only LUXURY resort with top quality food, this is your place!!! Just be aware, when you go home it’s depressing to leave!!! THIS WAS PARADISE!!!

Amazing food, the Italian restaurant was the best. We really enjoyed our stay there, there were lots of food offerings that were delicious and many activities to do. We got the ocean front hotel room and it was worth it. We asked to be on the fourth floor and that made our trip even better by seeing the ocean. There will be high pressure sales and they will try to use a credit system between massages, spa treatments, outings, golf, whatever they can get you to sit through an hour and a half long presentation. It’s an extremely high pressure sales event where they have several closers. We opted to not do this because we were on vacation, but other people were able to get up to $2200 worth of credits if they sat through the presentation remember this is high-pressure so they know and they have all answers to every single objection you might have Other than that. It was a really good vacation. We spent a lot of time at the pool in the quiet side, but then also joined some of their fun activities at the center pools. I would recommend.

My husband and I went to Unico for our honeymoon and it was our first all inclusive resort experience. We had the most incredible time and have so many amazing things to say. The rooms are perfect with views of the ocean or pools. We returned everyday to fresh towels and made bed and then at night, when we returned from dinner, they turned down our room before bed. The service is incredible (front desk staff, waiters, pool attendants etc.) Everyone was willing to help and extremely friendly. The food is amazing. We had heard that most all inclusive resorts have mediocre food but that was not the case here. Every single restaurant was 5 star and we cannot stop talking about the food. We made reservations ahead of our arrival however our host was helpful and was willing to help with reservations if needed. (Room service was also delicious). We also enjoyed the options that you could order pool side. I, myself, am gluten free and many of the restaurants had gluten free options and our host, Axel, actually had an allergen card made up for me to present to each restaurant. They were very diligent about the allergy, letting me know what had cross contamination and what did not. This resort is perfect for people who want a chill vibe. There are 4 different pools that all have different vibes however even the pool with music and activities was very relaxed. We appreciated that it was adult only however it was not a resort with a lot of singles; lots of couples. The pools are lovely with several swim up bars and we never had an issue getting a pool chair and umbrella (there were plenty). Although there were a good number of people at the resort, it did not feel crowded at all. Our only 2 complaints are very minor. The first being that if you want a beach vacation this spot may not be the best choice. The beach was covered in seaweed and smelled which the staff said has become a more prominent issue. The seaweed was so bad that there were dump trucks removing it from the beach each day. The second thing to be aware of is that they will try to get you to become a resort member. We were offered the opportunity to sit through the member meeting which we accepted however outside of that meeting, they will not bother you. You can decline the meeting and just enjoy your vacation or attend to learn more. We felt good about it that once we said no, it was not brought up again. The staff really respects your space and ability to just relax. Overall, we highly recommend Unico and will definitely be checking out some of their other locations.

The food was amazing. The staff was great and although it takes a bit to get there from the airport, the concierge will gladly arrange transportation. I stayed a week there with my close friend, and I am planning to come back again soon. I have to give kudos to Hugo for his constant communication prior to our arrival. Every aspect of our trip was nicely planned and I couldn’t have asked for better service.
