Taco Bar I had the pleasure of being served by Felipe Solis/Cristian during dinner, and his service was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, he was professional, welcoming, and attentive without ever being overbearing. He made me feel genuinely taken care of throughout the entire meal. He was knowledgeable about the menu, offered thoughtful recommendations, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Even during the busier moments of the evening, he remained composed, friendly, and focused—an absolute professional. Thanks to Felipe Solis/Cristian my dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. He clearly takes great pride in what he does, and it shows. I’ll definitely be returning, and I hope to be served by him again.

I had an amazing experience at Buffete Miramar! The variety of food options was impressive—from fresh seafood to authentic regional dishes, everything was flavorful and beautifully prepared. Whether you’re craving ceviche, grilled fish, or traditional sides, there’s truly something for everyone. A special shoutout to Fernando Daul, our waiter, who provided outstanding service throughout our visit. He was attentive, kind, and made excellent recommendations. Also want to acknowledge Martin Cituk, who made sure everything ran smoothly. The team here really goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome.

Me and my boyfriend had a great time at the Agave! Jose Lima and Norma Lopez gave great service to us during our visit. Our food came out in time between each other and tasted amazing. Their steak was super tender and melts in your mouth, the octopus was also very flavourful and soft. Their desserts were great and we tried the one with a cooked grasshopper! Thank you Jose and Norma for your excellent service :)

Barcelo Maya Riviera 4 Night Stay First impression: Everything was so grand and modern. Check In was simple and we upgraded to premium level for 30/person/night so 60 a night and stayed in our Junior Level Suite. I may recommend not to upgrade to premium level unless you want a 40% discount on spa services, and free room service. The upgrade probably was not needed to be completely honest, but we decided to splurge anyways. The premium level rooms may be very far from the restaurants as well. Overall, the service was exceptional and everyone was nice and welcoming. There could have been improvements in cleanliness especially with the pool and hot tub. Although, we could definitely tell that Maya Riviera was the most modern looking and had luxurious vibes. It was easy getting around to the other resorts when we had reservations elsewhere. An easy thing to remember for the Barcelo resort is from Riviera to Palace, in between is in alphabetical order. Food quality and drinks were decent. Only complaint for drinks was the lack of selection of common alcohol brand names. Other than that, they were able to make anything we asked besides having coconut, passion fruit or ginger beer. Miramar Buffet - To be fair, it was the end of the day, but everything was pretty inedible. I wish we didn’t have to go to other resorts to get lunch other days. 2/10 Sapporo - They have lychee martinis upon request here. Hibachi style took a long time, just go a la carte to get the same thing, but better. 7/10 Captain Morgan - Great buffet style with grilled meats and hamburgers. 8/10 Rodizio - Brazilian steakhouse where we ordered main dishes and also asked for skewers to be brought to us. Bread was not fully baked. 7/10 La Hacienda Buffet - a lot of options here, but mostly ate at the taco station 8/10 La Comedie - French Cuisine - Girlfriend ate 3 bowls of French onion soup. Bread was undone here and meat was raw for Beef Wellington. 7/10 Caribe/Beach Buffet - Some things were the same as Miramar, but the sandwich station and the fruit station saved the day. 6/10 Agave Taco Station - I recommend the taco bar here if you want to have a feast. Amazing drink service and servers told us tacos are unlimited. Al pastor/steak days recommended. One of our servers ran to Sapporo to get us a lychee Martini. 10/10

Booked a last minute trip here as the rate for the hotel was reasonable. It’s a one hour drive from Cancun airport and check in process was a little slow. But once we checked in the oceanfront king room was spectacular. Beaches are beautiful and the pools are clean and huuuuuge! There are 4 different restaurants and while you would think the Mexican restaurant would be the best, interestingly enough our best dinner was at La Comedie and our servers Jose and Benjamin were excellent. Overall great value here and the resort is very clean, new and worth the trip.
