I gave one star on the site because of the caged dolphins. This is sad to see and should not be there anymore. 4 or 5 dolphins in a very small pool. That is animal exploitation for money profit pure and simple. When that disappears, i will be able to give an all 5 stars review on that hotel.

Angel at the lobby bar was one of the best Bartenders I have come across. exceptional attitude and service was first class. Definitely a keeper. Patricia from the coffee station next to the bar was also terrific. Please thank them both for making our vacation so much more enjoyable and memorable.

Agave restaurant the servers were Alex Ortega and Moises Polito. Excellent service Of a wonderful authentic Mexican dishes. I highly recommend a visit to this beautiful restaurant for a delicious dinner!
The servers Jose and Bertha were very pleasant and accommodating regarding our allergy concerns. The dinner was excellent. We highly recommend La Comedie French Restaurant.

We were upgraded to this section of the resort upon arrival at our initial location (the Tropical) and we loved it. We loved the layout of the hotel and the amenities. We really appreciated the upgrade and if we return, we will choose the Adults Only. The only 2 things that we think can be adjusted are the fact that men can only wear pants (dress pants or jeans) to the restaurants, they could wear nice shorts not beach shorts, and the entertainment on this section of the resort is not that great compared to the other sections. The beach is wonderful.

Overall, a very good experience. The hotel is modern and very clean. The food was good except for the Asian restaurant. There is an abundance of top shelf liquor, Mexican beer, and buffet food offerings. You can use the facilities of the five other adjoining resorts. My only complaints are the following: 1. Many areas around the resort claim to be 100% smoke free environments but yet contain ashtrays and people smoking. There is a large ashtray next to the door of the buffet. I watched a guy smoking a cigarette there and smoking wafting into the restaurant and employees saying nothing. In fact many of the smoking areas are directly up-wind of large public seating areas. 2. There are signs at the swim towel kiosk saying “no reserving sun loungers”, yet 99% of the sun loungers have been reserved by people leaving their towels on loungers starting very early in the morning. It is difficult to find a place to sit unless you play the same game. 3. We had to leave early in the morning and there was nobody at the front desk to check us out, so we decided to drive off. When we got to the gate the guard would not let us leave without a check out slip. We had to drive back to the front desk and holler for an attendant. This made us nervous about missing our flight.
The overall package was affordable and I would generally recommend the place.
