Jose Hernandez and Juan Velazquez took excellent care of us. Their service, as well as the food was top shelf throughout the dinner. The hostess Paola, even remembered my allergies from the other night’s visit! I am in fine dining service and I know what creates an exceptional experience - this crew nailed it! I recommended this restaurant to another guest earlier in the day today - I bumped into him on his way out with his wife and he had been thrilled with his experience as well! Please keep up the great work! We look forward to coming back to this resort and this restaurant in the future for our next trip.

As our third vacation at Barceló Maya Riviera draws to a close I would like to post a second review. The servers in Mirimar Buffet always knock it out of the park! Yoandro always comes to say hello if we are in or near his section. The last few times Luis, Liliana and William have taken exemplary care of us ✨🌟 At La Dolce Vita David (I think that is his name, we were there for dinner 7:30 pm November 4, 2025 - our room #1751) provided service equal to or surpassing any five star dining experience I have had in Canada 🤩 As always the ladies in the Premium Lounge have gone above and beyond to fulfill our needs. Last night (November 10th) they released the baby turtles. We saw the information on the Facebook page but the lady (I do not recall her name) confirmed the time and location so we were able to get front row spots to experience the most incredible, once in a lifetime events! I salute Barceló for taking such outstanding conservation attempts. The staff ensured each one of the little baby turtles made it safely into the ocean. The time of day (dusk) provided a little extra insurance of their survival.

Beautiful place with great pools and beaches. Service is excellent. Great restaurants. And great diving. You also have access to the other 5 resorts. Only thing is that the guest rooms are quite musty smelling. They will come and clean the AC but smell persist. For someone with allergies it can be a problem.

This is overall my favorite resort. It is nice and I like the food/dining experiences and huge pool. I like their specialty cocktails, coffee drinks, and gym/spa as well. I have been to higher end resorts than this one as well as lower end ones, and I feel that this is just the right amount of luxury for me without being too pretentious. Additionally, the bowling and miniature golf are a nice perk. Some activities cost extra, but they are reasonable. The only thing that I can complain about is certain things that I felt are kind of tacky, the main one being that they charge you to use the scale to weigh your bag. Additionally, on the day of arrival they could accommodate getting you into a restaurant better on the first night vs making you go to the buffet. Normally, this wouldn’t bother me, however, the food here is so good that it is a bummer when I can’t get into a restaurant on the first night. They do not bother or harass me at all about timeshares which is a massive plus.

Barceló Maya Riviera was the perfect adults-only getaway. Beautiful modern rooms, stunning ocean views, and a massive infinity pool that never felt crowded. The food and drinks were excellent, with plenty of variety and great service everywhere we went. We loved alol the activities they had to offer like riding the banana boat, Pilates , and daily shows. It was also a pleasure having easy access to the other Barceló resorts for even more to do. We ended up having dinner reservations for all our nights there and had a great experience with Modesta Y Ingrid. Perfect spot for a relaxing and fun 4-day escape in the Riviera Maya!
