The Pyramid Cancun is an all-inclusive luxury resort with adult-only exclusive areas. There is great diversity of all-inclusive culinary options: gourmet restaurants, Mexican, Italian, Japanese, international, seafood, sushi, and snacks.

The programme generally consists of breakfast, lunch and dinner, served in a variety of restaurants. During meals soft drinks, beer, water and wine are usually offered. Locally produced alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks like water, wine, soft drinks, beer and spirits are usually served throughout the day (except during meal times).

I would not recommend wasting your time or money here. This resort and the staff could care less about their customers. There are hundreds of better “all inclusive” resorts. I wouldn’t even consider this really all inclusive considering half the stuff we asked for they didn’t have. Ex: Mojitos, smoothies for kids, blended drinks, the list goes on. Pros: 1. The outdoors area is beautiful throughout the resort and there is lots of pools. 2. It is not overpacked and plenty of room for all.however after staying there I see why and not necessarily a good thing. 3. If you have kids, the kids area is great and the lack of customers make it kid friendly throughout the various pools. Kids have space to be kids! Cons: 1. Rooms are extremely outdated and half the crap in the room doesn’t work. Very small room, bathroom, and balcony. The tub/shower was so inconvenient. 2. Service- 90% of the staff are rude and very unwelcoming. Coffee shops girls were the only kind and customer friendly employees. 3. They barely have anything to offer as far as drinks. So limited on what you can get and even then half the time if the bartender wasn’t up to making it they would just tell you they don’t have it. 4. The food is nothing to rave about. I wouldn’t waste your time with reservations at the various restaurants. You’ll leave disappointed and end up at the buffet anyways so might as well just start there, it’s the best thing they got for food. Learn from us 😊

My husband and I checked into The Pyramid at Grand Oasis Cancun on 6/1 for our honeymoon and were met with an incredibly disappointing experience from the start. Our original room was filthy, it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned after the last guests —there were small bugs, spiders, and ants all over, the balcony door wouldn’t close properly, and the entire room smelled like mildew. When we brought it to management’s attention, they treated us like we were an inconvenience rather than paying guests. It took way too much effort to finally be moved to another room on a different floor. The food at the resort was also disappointing. The only two places that served somewhat decent meals were the Tatish buffet and the Italian restaurant. Despite paying for the VIP all-inclusive package, we ended up leaving the resort every night for dinner just to have something enjoyable to eat. To make matters worse, after returning home today, my husband discovered bed bug bites all over his back and chest. We are beyond grossed out and honestly just heartbroken that this was the experience we had for such a special occasion. I would not recommend this resort—definitely not worth the price or the frustration.

I've been to this resort 3 times now. The one main thing I would say is to upgrade to the pyramid or higher if possible. The restaurants are great. I am gluten free and a vegetarian and they are very accommodating and delicious. Sakura and the Black Sens were incredible experiences. As with every resort in an incredibly hot and humid climate, the rooms are very moist and damp. They are cleaned well and the staff are all very lovely.

Mixed Experience – Beautiful Resort with Serious Drawbacks There’s a lot to appreciate about this resort, starting with how animal-friendly it is. It’s refreshing and rare to find a place that not only allows animals but seems to genuinely care for them. That alone deserves recognition. We fell in love Ramon and the multiple peacocks. We have more respect for a resort that brings in animals as a staff member and shares a shelter for them. The atmosphere was fun and lively. The resort hosts a wide range of activities that kept the energy up and provided entertainment throughout the day. Also, the sheer size of the property was impressive, it felt like a destination in itself. That said, there were some clear shortcomings that impacted the overall experience. First, the room had a strong moldy odor. The HVAC system seemed to circulate air without removing moisture, which is a serious issue in a high-humidity environment. There was no air-intake pulling the moisture from air. It made it uncomfortable and raised concerns about air quality. One pillow we had to exchange because it’s smelled of mold. The restaurants, while offering decent food, were inconsistent in terms of comfort. Several of the nicer venues had inadequate air conditioning, making dining feel more like a sweaty endurance challenge than a relaxing experience. Service-wise, the staff generally didn’t come off as warm or welcoming. At best, the interactions felt transactional; at worst, they bordered on rude. There were some exceptions such as Jorge the bartender in the Marketplace Buffet and our server in the Bahia Steakhouse and the coffee shop employees were very good. The most disappointing experience happened at the casino. I won a column bet at the roulette table, only to be denied my rightful payout. The Gringo Effect was annoying, what am I going to argue tooth and nail, fight to prove I won by pulling CC videos in a country I don’t speak the language for $10.00. It was frustrating and poorly handled, especially considering how clear the win was and my aunt saw the win as well. That incident alone left a sour taste and made me question the integrity of the operation. In short, the resort has a lot of potential and some strong features, but major operational and customer service issues held it back from being a truly great experience.

Honest review time. I have no idea where all these 1 star reviews come from. This place is amazing. Stayed for 4 days at this resort. It was very clean and it was alot of fun. My only complaint is not enough cabanas and the man who works the front desk could use some customers service expwriance. But we all have bad days so not the worst. This place is fair price and you get alot from it. Must have a black wrist band.
