Yes it's a great hotel, amazing rooms and a great breakfast, however what took the cake was the staff..everyone in the hotel, right from the reception desk to the valets, were incredibly polite and helpful. Breakfast was amazing with a huge choice. I feel even for vegetarians there was ample choice as well. They even helped surprise my wife for her birthday with amazing room decor, cake and flowers. The gesture went a long way! Improvement - I felt, for a shagrila property, there could be better coffee for the in-room tea/coffee setup, and was surprised to be just given a nescafe sachet ( coffee snob that I am). In no way a deal breaker, but just felt this could be something they can improve.

Amazing hotel with excellent facilities. Pros - Excellent private beach, pools, gym and dining options. We did half board and found it to be perfec. The heated baby pool is really exceptional and nkt found in mamy resorts, it made our stay with my 18 month old really special. Great shops and coffee shops etc within walking distance. Service wasnas you'd expect brilliant all staff went over and behind to make our stay memorable. Cons - Not in what considered the central.toirist area, not a problem for us as we were happy to walk to near by marinas etc, but could be an issue for those less mobile, although taxis very accessible. A great resort I'd recommend for those looking for relaxed and secluded luxury.

Fairytale Oasis: Feel Like an Arabian Princess If you want to feel like an Arabian princess, you simply must visit this hotel. From the moment you arrive, you are treated like the most important person in the world. The car door was opened for me by smiling, impeccably dressed staff, and I was greeted at the entrance by beautiful hostesses. Before checking in, I was served traditional Arabic tea and a chilled towel to freshen my hands. The hotel lobby is breathtaking. It is a masterclass in luxury intertwined with Arabic culture. Stunning fresh flowers sit at the center, surrounded by two reception desks, a concierge, and a charming café. Words cannot describe such a magnificent welcome. The check-in process was fast, pleasant, and professional. Maria, who assisted me, answered all my questions with great patience and warmth. The Magic of the Suite As I walked through the beautiful corridors to my room, the real magic happened. When I opened the heavy, large, hand-crafted doors of the suite, it literally took my breath away. It was a blend of luxury, exquisite taste, and timeless design. • The Living Room: A massive space with a plush sofa and decorative cushions. A beautiful, hand-made wooden chest of drawers houses a large TV and a minibar. • Attention to Detail: The drawers are perfectly organized – every glass, tumbler, and cup has its own dedicated compartment. There is a full coffee and tea service, a kettle, and even a drawer with an ice bucket. On the coffee table, I found beautifully prepared plates and traditional Arabic bowls. • Coffee Station: A separate hand-crafted console for the Nespresso service, featuring a dedicated container with labeled coffee capsules. • Business Area: Truly exceptional – a large desk, a comfortable chair, and stunning Arabic wall decorations. From the hand-crafted vases to the lamps, everything was incredible! The desk drawer was stocked with information and even a leather organizer with paperclips and scissors. Bedroom & Bathroom: A Sanctuary of Peace The bedroom features a grand, hand-made bed flanked by nightstands with a clock and water. There is another chest of drawers with a TV and a beautiful wooden wardrobe equipped with an iron, ironing board, and safe. The bathroom is a small miracle. It is spacious, featuring a bathtub, a walk-in shower, and double vanities. It was fully stocked with organic soaps and toiletries, bath salts, makeup remover pads, toothbrushes, shaving kits, hair ties, and even a nail file. Just "wow"! During the evening turndown service, the staff prepared my bed for sleep and left a beautiful, hand-crafted bookmark as a gift. Beach, Pool, and Michelin-Quality Dining The living room and bedroom open directly onto the beach and pool area. The relaxation zone is beautifully landscaped, and the beach service is top-notch. In addition to towels, every guest receives a private cooler with bottled water! After a wonderful night’s rest, I headed for the buffet breakfast. The restaurant is stunning and the food is magnificent. I was most surprised and impressed by the Asian soup station. The buffet had everything: an Arabic food station, fresh-pressed juices, and chocolate fountains. This buffet deserves a Michelin star! The hotel has several restaurants and bars, and I certainly didn't have time to visit them all. I am saving the Michelin-starred French restaurant for my next visit to this magnificent hotel. Had a terrible experience in their Sofa Brld restaurant. Staff were super rude. I asked one staff where the drinks are in the buffet. They told me I have to order it seperately. Even water. What kind of 5 star hotel buffet that charges 300AED doesnt have a drinks section part of the buffet? No juice. No water. Fine, but then when I brought this up with the staff they mentioned that I can go somewhere else 😂. Next time I will. Zero understanding of hospitality. Not only that but when I got home tured out I got food poisoning! First time ever in UAE after being here for almost 5 years now! I was already going to leave a bad review but this made it even worse. Total embarrassment to ShangriLa. I stay at their hotels worldwide. Will not stay at their Abu Dhabi location if this is how they are there.
