I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially considering it is rated as a 5-star property. In my opinion, it barely qualifies for a 2- or 3-star rating. I believe the ratings you may come across are misleading, as the experience from check-in to check-out was far from satisfactory.
Firstly, the NFC cards did not work properly with the elevators—I had to try three different lifts before one finally worked. Every detail in the hotel felt substandard, from the carpets, flowers, and smell to the room doors and beds, which were of very low quality, more comparable to a 2-star hotel. The decor was well below the expected standard for a 5-star establishment.
Additionally, we were only provided with two bottles of water for three people, and the fridge was in complete disarray. To my surprise, it contained low-quality children’s milk, which is unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber.
The room itself was dirty—shampoos were disorganized, there was water around the sink, fingerprints were everywhere, and there was a strong smell of dampness, even in the public areas, which they tried to mask with cheap fragrances, including in the elevators.
Although the manager changed my room to a slightly better one, I still couldn’t trust the cleanliness, especially since many hidden areas were clearly not cleaned. I eventually decided to leave the hotel altogether. This experience was completely unexpected for a Rixos property, especially after staying at the Rixos in Dubai, where I had a completely different and much more positive experience. This branch at Abu Dhabi Marina is simply not worth the money.

A lovely hotel, we've only just started our holiday and the service has been great and rooms are kept nice and clean. We had a total of 4 rooms on our booking and the reception team were kind enough to try their best to keep our rooms nearby. Mohamed the roller skater pool bar tender was great and very attentive even when it was very busy and hot. Food so far has been incredible in the buffet restaurants, they can get very busy but the turnaround of food has been brilliant. Thanks to the team at Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi!

I gave a 4-star review mainly because the price is reasonable. If you’re looking for a hotel at a decent price while in Abu Dhabi, this is an okay choice. HOWEVER, this is not the kind of hotel where you can truly relax, unwind, and experience 5-star service.
1. The hotel is outdated. Although it was opened recently, it was built a long time ago, and that’s evident from the interior design.
2. The facilities are subpar, likely due to the hotel’s age. My residential building has better amenities.
3. The pools are terrible—too hot, and again, outdated. The adults-only pool is full of kids. I complained multiple times, but nothing was done. Additionally, they’re stingy with towels. You won’t find towels waiting on the sun beds, and you’re required to return them after use. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s irritating when you’re trying to relax.
4. Noise, noise, noise. There’s noise everywhere—screaming kids, constant maintenance around the pool, and loud music.
5. The type of tourists at this hotel… Let’s just say I wasn’t impressed. A child followed me around in the pool, throwing Sprite cans near me. When I approached the parents, they did nothing—if anything, they encouraged their child.
6. My room had a strange odor.
I do want to mention that some of the staff were very nice, so the issues seem to be more about management than the individual employees.
Overall, I might return only if I need a place in Abu Dhabi and don’t plan to spend much time at the hotel.

Spent a wonderful afternoon at Infinity Lounge, enjoying their delightful jasmine tea and refreshing lemon mint juice. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxing time, and the service truly stood out. A special thanks to Sharifa, who was incredibly hospitable and made our experience even better with her warm and friendly service. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for great drinks and exceptional service!

We came from Dagestan to this amazing hotel and stayed under a big impression how it is beautiful. Location of the hotel is wonderful. The big mall nearby is making our stay more comfortable. The cleanness of the territory is on high level. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Especially many thanks to nice Aisulu from Front Office. She helped with the check in and show rounded the hotel, assisted with all questions and fulfilled all our requests which made our stay more memorable. In general we are very happy for choosing Rixos Marina Abu Dhabi!
