NOT A HONEYMOON HOTEL I caution it as an enjoyable hotel at all… My husband has been loyal to Marriott his entire career and the brand has been loyal to him. This hotel or its team however do not represent the brand we are familiar with in any way other than logo. Our son and his new bride were gifted a week stay for his honeymoon. The disappointments were exhausting. Recent hotel reviews by previous guest were experienced daily without fail. Staff was overall disgruntled in every department and held only empathy and no accountability except for one incredible guest service agent in the main building, not hideaway. May we suggest you take advice from guests our son met on his excursions from Sandals and Jade and choose their properties for an acceptable experience. Cheers Travelers!

Its not Hideaway by Royalton its a stay-away! This hotel is no where near a five star or even a 4 star! It says Adults Only! No, you share everything with the Royalton family resort! The only thing you get is, a small pool section for Hideaway guest, and a corner beach section near the beach stones… The service is horrible!!! You self serve on the beach and pool area. Out of the 6 nights I was there, the servers probably approached me twice and asked if I needed anything. Hotel cleanness is poor. Our feet turned black walking barefoot…. The room temperature of the room was too hot and they never made any adjustments. In addition, upon arrival we didn’t get a warm welcome. As we arrived, they sat us in front of a desk, and ask for your passports and than said you have to pay taxes! Not how was your flight, would you like something to drink… all they thought about was $$$. Room service is the worse… don’t bother! First of all it’s not all inclusive because they limit the amount of food you can order per person. All activities end at 10 PM… Saint Lucia is a beautiful place to visit, but this hotel ruined it for me every time I was enjoying myself someone knew how to disappoint me. If there is anything you are going to take from this review… STAY AWAY! Don’t waste your money and time… This will ruin your vacation. During my stay 2 sets of couples did early check out.

The stay was bad from start to finish! For starters, I received the wrong accommodations. I booked a room for two people, two queen beds; the room received had one bed. When asked to change the room by the Hideaway front desk, they stated very rudely when booking it’s a “suggestion” not true accommodation and to try again the next day. On the next day, the excuse was we came down too late to change the room; even though we were off resort for an excursion booked through the resort. The day after, they took our phone numbers and stated we would receive a phone call when our room was ready; never received a call nor was the room changed. The food at almost every restaurant was inedible. The meat was never cooked to the correct temperature; everything is WELL DONE! Every single restaurant and bar ran out of basic ingredients or claimed they had to go to another area to retrieve the item and never returned. Majority of the staff were rude and disengaged( especially the women) The entertainment ends very early for an all inclusive resort(around 12 at most) leaving guest with nothing else to do. They also advised as an adult only resort; untrue children are everywhere! For the amount of money paid for this resort, I was highly disappointed. Would not recommend 2/10

We stayed at The Royalton in St. Lucia and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. I chose this resort for my family because when my friends and I saw it during a shuttle stop to pick up some guests while staying at the Landings on my last visit we were impressed with the entrance as it looked very warm and inviting. I should have returned to the Landings as the property and service was excellent and truly a 5 star experience. The front desk staff was unprofessional and rude at the Royalton, which set a negative tone for the entire trip. A mix-up with our room assignments made things worse—my boyfriend and I were placed in a double bed room, while my sister and her 38-year-old son were given a king bed. When I asked to switch rooms to avoid that uncomfortable situation, I was told it could not be done. All that was required was a simple swap of room fobs, yet it took my travel agent calling and two hours wasted standing at reception in the sweltering, fanless lobby before they reluctantly made the change. I did not get the name of the female that served us because she did not have a name tag and often spoke Creole to the other agents to complain about me. I know this because I understand some Creole as my family is from Dominica. The property itself has serious issues: The reception area is unbearably hot with no fans for airflow. The A/C in the rooms is confusing and weak. Nobody tells you that it won’t work unless the sliding doors are fully shut and locked. Even then, the rooms felt warm despite the thermostat being set to the lowest temperature. The ceiling fan in our room did not work. The elevators were broken almost daily, trapping my 84-year-old mother on the 5th floor one day because she couldn’t get downstairs. This was heartbreaking and unacceptable. The elevators were filthy and felt like ovens. As far as dining, the food was sub-par. The only decent experience we had was at Zen hibachi, which may have just been because of the lively chef. At Calypso, the portions were laughably small: my fish entrée was the size of an appetizer, and the cod fritters were nothing but dough. I skipped the steakhouse after hearing bad reviews from other guests, and overall, we left most meals dissatisfied and hungry. Back at the front desk, the poor service continued. My wristband broke, and instead of helping, the front desk agent Rawle was dismissive, unhelpful, and smirky in his responses. He told me they had “no string” to fix it, refused to hold it safely for me despite the threat of a $150 charge if I lost it, and when I asked for his manager’s name, gave me vague answers before saying “Victor” but then refused to write it down, claiming he didn’t have a pen—even though a pen was sitting on the desk. His attitude summed up the front desk experience: excuses, rudeness, and zero accountability. I later found out from Guest Services that Victor was their boss and Rawle's manager is someone named Christian. I never had the opportunity to speak to either, but if they get the opportunity to read this review, I hope they congratulate those who gave excellent service and retrain the front desk staff. The one shining light during our stay was Guest Services and staff at Prime, who went out of their way to create positive moments for us. Special thanks to: Shanice (Prime), Kaisa, Renoir (Prime), Tashael These individuals showed genuine kindness, even looking after my elderly mother by bringing her lunch when she was stranded due to the broken elevator. Their warmth and professionalism are the only reason I could say anything positive about this resort. The resort itself is designed beautifully, and we did see renovations starting on the first-floor units and plunge pools when we left. However, between the rude and incompetent front desk service, the consistently bad food, and the poor maintenance of core facilities like elevators and fans, this resort feels more like a 3-star property at best, not the 5-star luxury it claims to be. I sincerely hope management steps in to address these issues.

My stay at this hotel was absolutely wonderful. From the warm welcome by the staff to the breathtaking views of the Caribbean Sea, everything exceeded my expectations. The room was spacious, comfortable, and always spotless. Breakfast featured fresh local products, and the restaurant had delicious options for every taste. The infinity pools, direct beach access, and organized excursions made each day special. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it!
